Gaea stared at her newest child as his father taught him to wield his soon-to-be symbol of power from the entrance of the arena in Tartarus Palace in the Void. It was a scythe, forged from the essence of both Gaea and Tartarus. It was made out of Primordian Steel, the strongest material in the magical and mortal world. It would be the greatest weapon in history, she was sure of it. The scythe had a short shaft to match the size of Perseus. The sharp black blade had a long hook to it. Tartarus, her new husband, had a mock scythe to help teach the boy to wield the weapon. Gaea was impressed, Perseus seemed to get the hang of wielding it. It seemed like the newborn would be a natural born. Perseus nodded to something that Tartarus had said, before doing what his father was doing. Gaea walked forward as the training session came to an end.

"Now, boy, wish for it to disappear, and it will." Tartarus said.

The scythe disappeared from Perseus's arm. He looked at his hand, where the weapon was.

"Where did it go?" Perseus asked.

"Usually to your throne, but since you do not have one, it will go to your bedroom. All you have to do for it come back to you is call it back with your thoughts and it will appear in your hands. Only you can call it, as it is your symbol of power. You are bonded to it." Gaea explained from the other side of the boy.

Perseus grinned at his mother.

"Now, are not going to give your mother a hug?" Gaea asked, feigning disappointment.

Perseus lept up and wrapped his little arms around his taller mother. He buried his head in his mother's shoulder. Gaea looked at her husband, seeing the pierced lips. Gaea sighed, he wasn't much of an affectionate. Gaea flashed them to her Palace in the Void.

She set her son down. "Go to your room. You may find something of interest in there."

Perseus's red eyes, glinted, as he ran up the stairs. Gaea smiled, knowing that in one day's time, he will mature into a man and the childish attitude will no longer exist. A knock at the door, pulled Gaea from her thoughts. She walked over the earthly door and opened it. Ananke stood in the door way.

"This is important. I shall come in."

Gaea narrowed her eyes at the impolite puesdo-demand. However, Gaea let her in.

"What do you want?"

Ananke was a head shorter than her sister, matter of fact she was shorter than the rest of her siblings. She had dark grey eyes and golden hair. She took the form of an old lady. She was sharp and witty with her attitude. She always wore a grey chiton.

Perseus slammed open the door to his room. He looked around for the surprise. He took a look over at his desk. Over his desk was a mirror. Perseus got a good look at himself. Red eyes that just radiated destruction and death. Messy black hair was in stark contrast with his pale hair. He saw that he would soon develop into a lean body. He wasn't weak, physically, or power-wise, his father had said that he'd be one of the most powerful deities in the Cosmos. The stroked Perseus's pride. His mother had gotten him a lot of bright red chitons.

Perseus turned away from the mirror. He turned toward his bed. He saw a neatly wrapped box on it. He missed it in his original scan of the room because the red curtains had covered the sides of the bed. The bed was queen-sized. Perseus ran over and pulled the box from the pillows. The bed was covered in red and so was the box. Perseus ripped open the gift.

Inside the box was a nice shield. It was mainly red but it had black trims. The material was Primordian Steel. Perseus grasped the strap and pulled it out of the box. Perseus grinned.

"Awesome."

A small snippet of training and Ananke visiting. Perseus was gifted a shield. The chapter is a time skip. It goes past the First Giant War and into modern times where Gaea is slumbering and Kronos may be rising again.
