BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Baby update: Amanda has made it to the transition stage of labor.
Cory: Does that mean she will be delivering the twins soon?
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: If I remember correctly the book said within a couple of hours of this phase. So yes, the babies will be here soon-ish. She is cursing Matt between contractions. He really should've gone out to the drugstore to get more condoms.
Cory: He only agrees because his mom is "fucking crazy."
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Amanda would agree if she wasn't in pain. It is a lot of expletives, especially since she can't have anything besides water and ice chips.
Cory: It's understandable. Just let her know that Matt already adores the babies, and we will figure out how to see them as soon as mommy dearest safely returns to New York. Or, at a minimum, Paris.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: I hope she's not going to Paris for the sake of the Mode UK team. Candy barely stopped a fight at the cocktail party. She had to get her boyfriend to hold people back, literally.
Cory: LOL. I'm unsurprised since we barely kept fighting at the black-and-white ball from breaking out.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Amanda is cursing all of us at this point. Apparently, it was my fault for not jumping Daniel two weeks after getting hired. It's your fault for not meeting Matt last year.
Cory: I think I was still in recovery from the Shawn fiasco when Mode went to the Bahamas. I wasn't ready for Matt then, and I don't think he was either. Tell Amanda I'm sorry anyway.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Will do. Neither Daniel nor I would've been good for each other when we first met. I don't think I had enough confidence to be in a relationship with somebody like Daniel. Also, there would've been too much of a power imbalance. At least Matt technically owns part of the company so you're close to equals.
Cory: HR sees it that way at least. Our relationships happened when they were meant to. You can't regret past relationships because they led you to where you are now.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: You're very wise. I'll send another text when we get to the pushing stage of labor.
Cory: Thank you. Will you be sending pictures, too?
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: I will send many pictures of the twins once they arrive. But Amanda doesn't want many pictures of her going to Matt until they are retouched.
Cory: Seriously?
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: She wants him to regret how he treated her. Matt wasn't very fair to her and Amanda wants a little revenge.
Cory: He regrets it a lot. Matt has also concluded that their relationship would not have worked long-term. She was essentially his rebound.
Cory: Don't tell her I said that!
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Amanda might be reading this over my shoulder between contractions. Daniel recommends that Matt talk to his guy at Tiffany's. He also suggests 'I F#$ up' gift number seven.
Cory: He was already planning to get some of the baby items from there. He'll add some stuff for Amanda.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: He better.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Amanda wants to ask for name suggestions for baby boy Sommers-Suarez.
Cory: Not Meade, Tanen, or even Hartley for the last name? Or whatever Spencer's last name is. I know he's like Madonna and only goes by one name professionally.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: His last name is Cannon. However, Spencer hates his last name and his father. It's partly why he's being billed recently by his first name. He only goes by Cannon when he has to. Spencer is glad it's not being used.
Cory: I understand. I'm happy to use the last name Hunter and not Malick.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: They put all the potential last names in a hat and chose two. Hartley was not included because of Victoria.
Cory: Matt is OK with they're not being more Hartleys.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Daniel felt the same way about the last name Mead and seriously considered dropping it when we married for just Suarez. However, he was warned by female colleagues that that might not be best for somebody who has such a famous name. We're hyphenating. Daniel is switching now, so it matches the twins.
Cory: That makes sense. What do you have so far?
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: We have Alejandra Molly for baby girl Sommer-Suarez. Marcus is on the shortlist for boys' names, but whether that will be a first name or a middle name I don't know. Amanda wants Matt's input.
Cory: Matt likes Marcus since it starts similar to his name. He also doesn't like the junior thing, so he's not pushing for baby Matthew. Alexis Junior is already confusing enough for everybody despite having different last names.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: True. Where just glad DJ's first name is actually Danielle.
Cory: Matt recommends something with an H for the middle name. That way, people can assume the middle initial is for Hartley. It seems like you're also doing that with Alejandra's middle name.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: That realization is why Daniel finally agreed to Molly as Alejandra's middle name. However, we are using Alex for short. We will start going through the H names.
Cory: Do not use Harold because, apparently, there's an asshole great uncle by that name on his mother's side of the family. He's been dead for a few years, but Matt has no desire to honor the man, even by accident.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: This is unsurprising. I'll start reading Amanda H names.

"OK, what about Hank?" Betty read another name off the baby name website to him and Amanda. "You like Tom Hanks. It's a good name."
"No. I think I dated a Hank, and he was a jerk," Amanda told the couple as Daniel gently massaged her back. He's been doing much of that as the contractions got closer together. They were mostly going through the name list at this point to keep Amanda distracted.
"You have eliminated a lot of these names due to bad dating choices." Daniel pointed out, which caused Amanda to glare.
"And how many of my top girls' names did you cross out? Fuck!" Amanda screamed out, and Betty helped her breathe through the contraction.
"OK, that's fair," Daniel said once the contraction ended. "You get to cross out any name you don't like, no questions asked."
"Hudson," Betty went back to reading names off the list.
"I don't think I can use that name after killing the magazine," per Monique they've received several angry letters regarding the magazine's demise. But from a business standpoint, it didn't make sense to keep both Player and Hudson, mainly because the magazines overlap so much now that Cory was in charge. "Although Alexis did love that name, which is why she chose it for the magazine."
"Put it in the maybe pile," Amanda suggested.
"Hugo," Betty read out loud.
"No," Amanda objected.
"Hector?"
"No," Daniel said quickly, and Amanda shook her head. He's glad they're both in agreement about that name.
"Hendricks?" Betty asked. "No, it's not spelled like Jimi Hendrix."
"Maybe if we spell it like Jimi Hendrix's last name. You know I like Jimi Hendrix. We're supposed to go with cute celebrity names." Daniel suggested.
"Tim and Chloe have already changed the name of the baby formally known as Chutney twice already. I'm not doing that. I like Hendricks, But does it go together? How does Marcus Hendricks Somers-Suarez sound?" Betty told Amanda and her fiancé.
"It's not horrible. We can keep it in the maybe pile, but again, I preferred the other spelling for Hendrix. Amanda told a couple.
"OK, I put it on the list. Hartley is listed on this website. It could be a middle name." Betty suggested.
"If we didn't have to worry about Victoria, I would do it. I think it makes a better middle name than a last name," Daniel told the group.
"Maybe we can change the middle name to Hartley after she's arrested… fuck!" Amanda screamed again as she started to squeeze his hand. He could feel her nails digging in. That's happened several times today.
"Just breathe." He whispered.
"I thought the epidural was supposed to make it better," Amanda said once the contraction was done.
"I think my hand would be broken if you weren't receiving medication," Daniel told her.
"OK, what about Harrison? I like it." Betty told them.
"Marcus Harrelson Sommers Suarez sounds good." Amanda said from the bed.
"I like it. Although maybe it's a little too close to Harold. Which is on the no list."
"It's different enough. Next name," Amanda commanded.
"Hayden. It's a cute name." Betty suggested.
"I like that. It's like the Star Wars actor. He was cute. Too bad he bought a farm in Canada because people were ass holes."
"Add Hayden to the list," Daniel suggested.
"OK, we now have four names. Heath, Hendrick, Hayden, and Harrison. Do you want me to keep reading names, or are you two ready to make a decision?" Betty asked.
"Take Heath off the list. I like the other three better." Daniel tells them.
"Also, take off Hendrick because I know we're just going to fight about which spelling to use," Amanda told the couple.
"Hendrix with an x is the better spelling. But I agree with taking it off the list, so we don't have to worry about people misspelling it."
"How about I send the top two choices to Matt and let him decide," Betty suggested. Both Amanda and Daniel agree to that.

BF Ex-girlfriend #1: We've spent the last hour going through H names between contractions. We have it narrowed down between Hayden and Harrelson. Amanda and Daniel agreed to let Matt make the final decision.
Cory: Matt wants Hayden. He's a big Star Wars fan and doesn't hate the prequels. Matt may have had a crush on Anakin. Before he strangled his pregnant wife.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Hayden, it is.
Cory: Matt is pleased he's being included in this. Especially because Amanda wants him to sign over his parental rights to your fiancé.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Amanda wants Matt to be involved. But making Daniel the primary father will give Matt more flexibility. He doesn't have to be the twins' father for the everyday things; Daniel will fill that role. But he can choose to be there. Amanda wants him to choose to be part of their lives, not force him to be there.
Cory: That choice is very important to her, isn't it?
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Very important. I think she's still hurt that Fay didn't want her. At least not beyond someone to take dress shopping for prom. Amanda wants more than that for her children. But she doesn't want someone there simply out of obligation.
Cory: I think Matt wants more than that, too. He's in tears right now. It is a good thing we're in my office alone. Half the team thinks we are having a "book club" meeting.
Cory: Apparently, that's Meade publications code for office sex. At least that's what Austin texted me once Justin got him to come back upstairs. We had to agree to a trip to Hershey Park this weekend.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: I created that code. Austin could use the distraction. How's Austin doing?
Cory: From the window, I can see him giggling with my assistant for the first time in days. This makes me happy. It's been rough today. Austin spent half the day working out of the Mode offices until Justin got him to come up to work on a group project.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: At least he worked.
Cory: I'm unsure if Austin's working on his work stuff or his mountains of homework from Stephanie. I will go talk to him as soon as I am not keeping his brother from running up my walls.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: I am surprised Austin is there. I heard they found George's body.
Cory: Potentially. We know for sure it's not Tiffany, at least. I know this is hard on Austin, so I'm not expecting him to be very productive. I gave him stuff for the January and February issues to work on. He has time.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Smart thinking.
Cory: At least now the office knows his mother is a missing person. So, they all understand why we allow the intern to get away with a lot.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: It's good that people know what's going on. Although I do wonder what will happen when Victoria realizes her fake postcards failed miserably.
Corey: Nothing good. The press haven't picked the story up yet, but it's only a matter of time, since Austin is Vivian's foster son.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: Amanda is cursing me and Matt for trying again in the Bahamas last year when we both should've known better.
Cory: You were expecting this.
BF Ex-girlfriend #1: She's also mad at herself for falling in love with a guy who couldn't really love her.

The boyfriend: Fashion cocktail parties in London are similar to New York. Except you're not here, which is horrible. I've got used to you being my backup.
Cliff: I wish I was with you too. Although, I did have a really productive shoot today. Jade was a good girl, letting me do my job with minimal crying.
The boyfriend: It's always a good shoot when there's minimal crying.
Cliff: So, what happened at the party?
The boyfriend: I drank wine with Anna W. She was happy to see that I was there. She wanted baby pictures. I showed her the one of Jade wearing the purple dress from Breanna. She likes Breanna's baby line.
Cliff: That's good.
The boyfriend: We made snide jokes about Victoria behind her back as we avoided her. Candy is a giant among assistants and ran interference with her boyfriend.
Cliff: Also, good.
The boyfriend: All of London fashion high Society hates Victoria too. My London Mode counterpart had to be pulled away by Candy to keep her from punching the woman.
Cliff: I hope she's not going to Paris Fashion Week. I've been told by multiple colleagues not to work for Isabella until Victoria is fired for incompetence. It's already toxic over there. The new Creative Director had to call in a personal favor for the Barbados shoot after Victoria lost their photographer and she's not even in the country.

The boyfriend: I'm unsurprised that Lindsay is still trying to hire me.
Cliff: He should know by now that you don't want to come to Isabella.
The boyfriend: Not Isabella, London Hub. He thought I may appreciate being closer to my best friend who I flew all the way out to see while she's giving birth to twins.
Cliff: OK, that might be slightly more tempting. I can work in Europe.
The boyfriend: I want to stay in New York. I miss hanging out with Amanda, but I think I would also miss all my New York friends too. This separation has shown me I have a lot more friends than I thought I did.
Cliff: You're becoming close to Monique, Breanna, and Hilda now that you share being a parent. There is also Justin and Austin. I don't want to abandon Austin right now, and I'm sure you don't want to either.
The boyfriend: Not at all. Also, I can't leave Wilhelmina alone while her husband is still in prison. Jade needs to be able to visit her good grandma whenever possible. At least until Wilhelmina has to relocate to Australia for love.
Cliff: This is true.
The boyfriend: We just moved into our house, and I don't want to pack up so soon.
Cliff: Also, true.
The boyfriend: Then there's the custody situation and the lack of a passport. We need to be close enough for Jade to visit her mom.
Cliff: Very true. Your assistant is a miracle worker. Jade's passport should arrive before we go to Paris for the Alexandria Lingerie shoot.
The boyfriend: Oh, thank God. I hate being without you.
Cliff: I also hate being without you. Single parenthood is exhausting.
The boyfriend: I entirely agree. What about the we can't leave the country with Jade court order?
Cliff: Vivian made some phone calls. We have a new judge. They're working on it.
The boyfriend: That's good. Have we heard anything from my mother's lawyers? Are they considering the offer?
Cliff: We haven't heard anything yet. Although our lawyers think your mother might take the offer.
The boyfriend: I hope so. I don't want to cut her out of my life. I just wish things were different.
Cliff: I get it. Again, I haven't even told my parents I have essentially adopted a child.
The boyfriend: You're going to surprise someone at Thanksgiving?
Cliff: It's my year to visit my dad's family. They are the less homophobic side of the family. Do you and Jade want to come with me?
The boyfriend: It's going to be a disaster, isn't it?
Cliff: So much because my dad will probably cry, but I think my grandmother will like you. Her coffee table is filled with back issues of Mode.
The boyfriend: I'm in.
The boyfriend: Daniel just texted on my other phone. Amanda is now in the pushing stage of labor, so I'm going to head over to the hospital. I'm still allowed to be there.

Since Alejandra was born a little prematurely, they will ensure her lungs are fully developed. Thankfully she's at a healthy weight. At worse, she might end up in the step-down unit. I know in the States, they call it a progressive care nursery. I don't know what it's called here.

Little sister: Daniel told Alexis yesterday that he didn't want to pass on the name and was considering dropping it all together after he got married. So, I'm going to blame that on Bradford's A++ parenting. At least you never made us suicidal for being members of the LGTBQ plus community.
Cal: I've done worse things.
Little sister: Even your little speech to Claire about Tyler (and I've heard what happened then from both of you) is miles away from what Bradford said to Alexis when she came out as transgender.
Cal: That's not a high bar.
Little sister: What about the other twin?
Matt #2: Not born yet.

Little sister: Alexis is on a text message chain with Claire, DJ, and Tyler. Daniel just sent all of those pictures. He's a very proud daddy. He's waiting for her to get back from her baby checkup. She's on the big side, so they're hopeful she'll get to stay in the room with Amanda.
Matt #2: He shouldn't be the father.
Little sister: I've raised Alexis Junior as a single parent for five years. You take all the help you can get, and if Amanda's friends want to help her raise the twins and be other parents, then that's a good thing. It's cliché, but it takes a village. I wouldn't have made it through the first year without Jordan helping so much.
Cal: I know you hate that things must be this way, but remember that your children's safety comes first.
Matt #2: I get that, but I really hope we find enough dirt to get her locked up for good during the audit. I would like for the children to call me Dad, in addition to Daniel, at least.

Aunt Betty: Amanda and Daniel decided that four last names were too complicated for any child, so they each chose one of their last names to give the twins. They went with Sommer-Suarez. Daniel has already switched to Mead-Suarez. You'll see it when the November issue hits stands in two weeks.
Grandpa: Tell him thank you for that. Also, tell Amanda congratulations, and I'm shipping her favorite cookies.

Mo: Because she thinks that your father is a piece of shit and is glad she ended the engagement at the first red flag.
Boyfriend's assistant: Is sharing these pictures with my aunt OK? I know she's anxious to learn more about her foster son's new niece.

Big sister: I hope you are OK with me sending pictures of Alejandra to Brianna. She had already sent them to her brother and nephew.
Mom: And how does Cal feel about me having another grandchild?
Big sister: He's trying to get Matt to see that Daniel raising the twins is for the best, especially since his ex-wife is crazy and evil. But he still wants granddad privileges once the ex is in prison.
Mom: Of course, he does.
Daniel: Hey, this is Betty. I have phone duty as Marc and Daniel Coach Amanda through delivering baby B. Thankfully, baby B's amniotic sack broke during his big sister's delivery.
Mom: I'm going to consider that a good thing.
Daniel: It is. At least the doctor doesn't need to do it now. However, Baby B is still taking his time.
Daniel: Your brother just returned from taking the dads to see Alejandra. They were in the waiting room with DJ.
DJ: I'm glad he took us because the dads were getting impatient and annoying. I took pictures. I'm really excited about having another little sister/cousin.

Big sister: She's adorable even if she's behind glass. It's OK for you to think of the twins as your siblings. I have accepted that you see Daniel as your dad and me as your bonus mom, which is OK.
Big sister: It's a little Alabama, but OK.

Big sister: And whose fault is that? Per Breanna, your ex acted the way he did about Tyler because he already knew about Alexis Junior. Or at least that's part of the reason why he was such a dick. Breanna says that's his defense setting.

Daniel: I'm glad the dads and DJ got to visit. We would wait until both twins were born to bring the fathers up to see them, but as DJ said, both dads were getting impatient. They refuse to remain at the hotel like they were supposed to.
Daniel: Unfortunately, baby B is taking his time to get here. He's already going to have a different birthday than his big sister.
Claire: That makes sense.
Daniel: I just got pictures from Spencer. He and Mr. Tanen could scrub in and go into the room. I'm sharing those as well.

"You have a son," Cory said as he passed the cell phone to Matt.
"He's so beautiful." A few hours ago, when he saw Alejandra for the first time Matt said something similar. He has no idea how he and the Amanda created such wonderful children together.
"Yet somehow he is taller and skinnier than his Big sister." Cory joked.
"I wish I was there," Matt said as the front door rang.
"You'll be there soon. I bet that's the champagne your father promised."
"Probably," Matt said as he went to the door. Yes, it was the champagne along with his favorite dinner. He wonders who remembered that. Probably Corbin or Andie.
"Your father has good taste. I'm pretty sure this bottle costs as much as my rent." Cory remarked as he looked at the vintage.
"Or his assistant does. I don't think Cal has ever picked out a present for me, so I don't expect him to start now. I just want to be a better dad than him even if I'm not in the same country as my Children."
"I think you will be. Part of being a parent is doing what's best for your child, not yourself, and it's best for you to not be there because you will put Amanda in danger."
"And I never want to do that," Matt told his boyfriend.
"You'll be there soon. In the meantime, we should send a gift basket to the babies." Cory suggested.
"Not a champagne basket because Amanda is not drinking anymore, but I think she would appreciate a breakfast basket or a teddy bear basket. I also already picked out a silver brush set for each baby from Tiffany's. But I want to give that gift in person." He also picked out a locket for Amanda with the twins' birthstone. He will have their birthdates engraved. Matt is sure Amanda will like it.
"She will definitely appreciate that. Once we're done eating, we can go pick something out on the computer. We will send it to Candy, and then she can bring it to the hospital. That way, it won't be connected to you." At that, Matt leaned over to kiss his boyfriend.
"You're brilliant."

Marc: Apologies to everyone who did not get separate text messages earlier. Sorry to send this out to everybody simultaneously, but we are exhausted. I'm the only one not falling over, probably because I'm still on New York time.
