Naruto would begin to ster awake for a few moments he would be like this until he opened his eyes, once again he was in the hospital laying in a bed just like before, this time the curtains were drawn, sun shined through the window, he could feel the nice brisk air coming from the outside, as he tried to sit up he couldn't because he tried to use his left arm to get up but couldn't he looked down to see his left arm wrapped up in bandages Looking around the room he found two chairs noticing they still had a sit mark revealing someone had been there a lot, not moving just staring at the young blond, looking to his right he found a curtain that covered him giving him space from what he assumed was someone else. Naruto couldn't say anything, only thinking about the moment he failed to get Sasuke back, and how he could have easily died and how he made Yara cry. Naruto had his head down, having his hair in front of his face. After a moment he heard talking from outside, it was Yara and Tsuande.
"Tsunade-sama, do you know when Naruto will wake up?" As she asked this Tusande responded with some annoyance in her voice.
"You've asked me everyday for the past week, and my answer won't change, I don't know when he awakes, but I'll let you know when he does." As she said this she could see the sadness in her eyes and the worry at the same time.
"Yara…. I know how sad you are about him, but worrying like this will only increase your sadness and worry….. You need to leave this place, along with Sakura, you and her haven't really left this place since Naruto got in." As she said this she turned around and left, Yara didn't do anything, having her hair much the same as Naruto's having it in front of her eyes a moment later she would turn walking into Naruto's room seeing him still laying down seemingly unconscious. She would sit down grabbing ahold of his hand.
"Naruto please wake up… I…. I dont have anyone now…. You're the only person I have now, so please wake up." Hearing this Naruto began to get a little sad before he began to stir as he did he felt a strong hug opening his eyes. He saw Yara hugging him, feeling the tears run down his back and shoulder.
"I'm okay." Hearing this made Yara cry more than she already was making noise when she was tearing up. Making so much noise a nurse came in seeing Naruto sitting up made her shocked before running away going to grab Tsunade. The two would sit there like they were the only two in the entire world holding each other in the others embrace being so close you could feel the warmth one another held. Tsuande was walking down the hall until she made it to Naruto's room, seeing the two hugging she would cough, hearing the cough Naruto would look up but not Yara she would stay hugging him.
"So Naruto, how are you feeling?" Hearing this he would go into a thinking pose before answering.
"I'm okay, a tad tired but besides that I think I'm okay." As he said this he looked at the still crying Yara hugging him.
"Makes sense, after all we had to do emergency surgery at the battlefield as soon as we got here." Hearing this Naruto nodded his head before looking down once more thinking to himself.
"(I need to get stronger, if I didn't have the Rasengan wind cutter then I don't know if I would have one that fights even with the regular Rasengan, after all Sasuke… Sasuke what happened to you.)" Thinking this Tsunade would make her way over grabbing his wrist checking his pulse. She would continue to do the routine checks before leaving once again. Yara would stay in the room not saying anything, only having her head down, Naruto would look at her a few times during the routine check up but he didn't see any emotions on her face. He would continue to stare at her for a long time so long that it got dark.
"Yara…. You should go, it's getting late." Hearing this Yara would shake her head in a negative way seeing that Naruto would speak once again. "Yara, when was the last time you slept?" Hearing this Yara didn't move seeing no reaction from her Naruto spoke up once again."You know you'll have to answer me even." Before he could finish speaking she would once again begin to cry. Yara was a hard headed girl to most people, being cold uncaring of the consequences of her actions, but for some reason to Naruto it felt like he was her whole world, even though they only knew each other for a little while it felt like she could tell him anything and everything would be okay when she was around him because he would protect her from anything. But when she saw him dying on the battlefield, it felt like the light she had in her heart was broken like the darkness was beginning to envelope the light, but it seemed he now just proved that the light could always beat the darkness. Before she could do or say anything he had already gotten up and walked over to her putting an arm around her head making her head once again cry in his chest, and just like early in the day she would once again cry her heart out. Outside the door was open and Saskura could be seen running through the hall having a bunch of sweat roll down her forehead after all she had just finished training with Guy and if anyone knew training with him was a nightmare. Once she got to the door she would go in seeing Naruto holding the crying Yara, for whatever reason this made her feel mixed emotions wanting to cry because she knew her teammate was okay after all he was standing up but also because he was holding another girl. Turning around she would leave making her way to the exit, after Sasuke she promised herself she wouldn't be a fangirl, but she couldn't help the feelings welling up on the inside of her heart. A few days would pass and Yara wouldn't leave his side not wanting to after all they couldn't really force her since every person emitted to the hospital was allowed one person to stay overnight and since no one else did she did. There were a lot of people who visited him which ended up suppressing him after all he didn't know that many people liked him, however the only person who didn't visit him was Sakura he didn't know why, hell even Kakashi visited him and he was getting ready for a dangerous procedure.
- two days before this in the hokage office -
Tsunade was signing papers just like she had been doing ever since she got her, well after the emergency surgery with Naruto, even if it had been only a few days she had made a quite significant processes in being the newly instated Kage, however she wasn't inaugurated in front of the entire village most everyone knew she was the kage, she was simply waiting for Naruto to wake up and begin to walk again, after all everything that has happened was because of him. Shizune was standing in the office petting Tonton the pig while she slept, she would look over to Tsuande seeing she was getting more and more angry.
"M my lady?" As she said this Tsuande would look up quickly making Shizune jump a little making her drop Tonton making the small pig land on her head.
"WHERE THE HELL IS KAKASHI." As she yelled this she had two papers in her hands crumpling them before talking again just not yelling but still having anger in her voice. "After all most of these damn requests are for him so where is that damned child?!" As she said this, Shizune would look at the still sleeping Tonton in confusion before answering once again.
" My lady at the moment he is on leave, after all one of the first higher ranked missions he took with team 7 was to capture the four tails and he fought the kage killing him however he severely damaged his hand." Hearing this Made Tsuande surprised after all when she was traveling she didn't hear anything about him killing the Tsuchikage, and moreover there wasn't any deal or threat of war she had read, maybe it was in one of the many stacks of papers all around the damn place, after all almost the entire place was filled with papers. Tsuande would ask to see the papers of Kakashi once he was emitted to the hospital, it took a few hours to find them but once Shizune did she handed them over to Tsuande stopping the paperwork, and reading his file.
"(When he was emitted to the hospital his right hand had severe nerve damage, his left hand was missing but they recently was able to reattach the hand, the hand has been unable to move or feel pain, probably because they did not reconnect the nerve's properly, even if they did he wouldn't be able to feel anything in that hand but he would be able to move it, sever chakra exhaustion.)" Before she could go on Guy came into the room being held by the secretary yelling and screaming at him.
"THE HOKAGE HAS A LOT OF PAPERWORK TO DO LET HER BE." As she yelled this Guy would yell right back.
"I'M SORRY LADY TSUNADE BUT I NEED YOU TO COME CHECK ON MY STUDENT." Before Guy could continue, Tsuande would stand up and begin to talk.
"I'm sorry Guy but I won't do any other surgery besides Kakashi after all he is one of the strongest in the village, bringing him back onto the force will undoubtedly be the smartest option." As she said this Guy had a distorted look on his face staying there for a moment stuck between wanting his student to be saved or his eternal rival and best friend since he was young. Guy would turn around and begin to walk away, before he could leave Tsuande would begin to talk once again looking at Kakashi's file.
"Once his surgery is done…. I'll see what I can do about your student Guy…. I wouldn't want anyone to wait like you have to do but I'm asking you to wait just for a little longer." Hearing this made Guy cry not being all happy go lucky like he usually is but he was happy, undoubtedly happy.

It had been an entire week since Naruto was emitted to the hospital and like clock work he would wake up every morning at five, at nine Neji and Tenten would show up after visiting Lee in the hospital, a doctor would arrive to give him breakfast, at noon Tsunade would come check on him, as well as give him lunch, at one Ino and choji would show up along with Shikimaru, at two Yamato would show up for a little bit and talk about ideas for training as well as some other things. At three Shizune would show up in the stead of Tsunade and run tests for her, and at five he would have dinner. It had been a nice and relaxing week for the young blond but he did have to admit he was getting bored and fast as well. But just like clockwork at noon Tsunade would arrive with a smile on her face just like always but something was different Naruto could tell.
"Granny Tsunade, good to see you again." Hearing this Tsunade would get a tick mark on her forehead but wouldn't say anything after all this was a happy day.
"I've got some news…. After I run some more tests on you, you should be okay to leave the hospital and begin active duty as a shinobi of the leaf again." Hearing this he smiled looking at her before responding.
"Well what are you waiting for Granny run the tests already." hearing this she nodded her head before walking over to the bed before checking his blood pressure, and doing everything else a normal doctor would in a check up. Once she was done Naruto jumped out of bed before looking around and making a clone.
"Go find Yara and tell her I'm leaving." Hearing this the clone nodded before looking at Tsunade speaking to her. "Tsunade-sama, I request a mission." As he said this Tsuande would look at him and shake her head before responding.
"Go find Sakura first." As she said this Naruto had a troubled look on his face because he hadn't wanted to see her after all she didn't want to see him, but then again she was his teammate and one of his closest friends. Shaking his head he opened the window before jumping out landing on the street, jumping again landing on the building, as he did he closed his eyes before opening his left eye showing the veins in them and the byakugan. Looking around the village he would find Sakura training with Guy, seeing this he sighed before closing his eyes again, opening them having the veins reseed before making his way to where he saw Sakura's chakra. It would take ten minutes because he didn't really want to see her but he knew he had to do it eventually, but he had eventually arrived at the training ground seeing Sakura doing pushups with a 40 pound weight on her back, Guy doing the same thing just with 200 pounds on his back and doing with ease while Sakura was struggling, Naruto would watch the two on the fence the incloused training ground ten. After a few minutes he would sigh before thinking to himself
"(They aren't going to stop for a while longer.)" As he thought that he would jump down and begin to walk to the two having his hands in his pockets, he would make it over to them standing in front of Sakura waiting for her to notice him, after another ten pushups she would notice him.
"N naru." Before she could finish speaking she would fall on her face gasping for air, seeing this Naruto quickly grabbed the weight moving it off of her, seeing all this Guy would jump up catching the weight like it was nothing.
"NARUTO, THE POWER OF YOUTH REALLY SHOWS IN HOW FAST YOU HEALED." Hearing this he simply smiled at Guy hearing him continue to talk before speaking once again.
"It's good to see you as well Guy, I'm sorry to interrupt your training but I was wondering if I could take Sakura away for a moment." Hearing this Guy smiled, giving him his nice Guy pose before speaking again.
"OF COURSE, I don't mind." As he said this he walked over to one of the trees setting the weights down making a miny crater in the ground sitting on one of the tree trunks. As he did Naruto would look back at Sakura seeing her continuing to work out just without the weight this time. Looking at her he would sigh before speaking up.
"Sakura…..Why…..Why didn't you come to see me when I was in the hospital?" Hearing this she didn't say anything for a moment. Naruto would wait before speaking again, a little agitated. "Sakura, everyone from our class came to see me, even Tenten and Neji." Hearing this it was as if Sakura didn't care just continuing to do push ups. "Even Kakashi did and he's getting ready for the surgery soon." As he said this he watched as Sakura seemed to increase the speed of the push ups before speaking again. "Sakura." Before he said anything else all he saw was Sakura still doing push ups before turning his back and beginning to leave, stopping once he was a little ways away. "That hurt ya know…. I thought….. I thought since you kissed me…. I thought you liked me." As he said this he continued to walk while Sakura stopped doing push ups, she would stay like that for a moment before rage began to come over herself, she got up and ran towards Naruto grabbing him by the collar yelling in his face.
"YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS RIGHT NOW.'' As she yelled this she had her hair covering her eyes so you couldn't see them but her hands began to shake a little.
"I VISITED YOU EVERYDAY UNTIL YOU WOKE UP….. THEN WHEN YOU FINALLY WOKE UP YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I WAS, WHEN I GOT TOLD YOU WERE AWAKE I RAN AS FAST AS I COULD LEAVING GUY SENSEI HERE AT THE TRAINING GROUND… But….. But when I arrived at your room….. I saw you and that girl that was always with you by your side….She was crying her eyes out just like I was… But I made a promise to myself, I would never be a fangirl again so I left….. You have no Idea how much that hurts." As she was saying all of this tears began to roll down her face, her hands shaking still looking down at the ground. "I thought you had abandoned me, I was okay with that…. I was going to accept that after all we are chunin so we don't have to work that much with each other now…But…. I couldn't look at you, I couldn't face you after ... .After I saw that, don't you dare say I don't care about you, or dont care that you almost died….. Because I care more than anyone else." As she finished those words she completely broke down, letting go of Narutos shirt and began to cry in his chest, but her crying went on to death's ears as Naruto spoke up.
"Sakura… I'll never leave you." As he said this he put a hand on her pink hair holding her close letting her cry in his chest. Guy would have watched the entire thing only having a smile on his face before looking up at the sky before closing his eyes. Naruto and Sakrua would stay like that for a while before Sakura stopped crying moving back a little still having tears in her eyes she would begin to try and wipe them off before Naruto spoke once again. "Come, we have a mission to go on." As he said this the two would walk to the hokage's office not saying a word just walking in comfortable silence. Once they got to the door of the hokage's office they would knock before entering as they did they would get surprised seeing Hinata, Kiba, Yara, as well as Kurinie. The three would turn around to see Naruto and Sakura.
"Kurini because you have a new member you will be going on a C-rank mission outside of the village." Hearing this she would nod her head before giving a slight bow before looking at her team speaking up.
"Alright guys, meet me at the East gates in two hours." Hearing this the team would all nod their heads before making conversation with the two standing in front of them.
"NARUTO, how's it going?!" Hearing this he would look at Kiba before responding
"How has it been Hinata? I haven't seen you in a while." As he said this she would begin to blush a lot before responding.
"G good N naruto-kun." Hearing this he smiled before looking at Yara asking her a question.
"Yara, where are you living now?" Hearing this Yara would speak up and answer his question.
"I am living by the Aburam clan, since many of their members have fought the Kamizuru clan, they said they would help me with some of my jutsu as well as showing me some of theirs." Hearing this Naruto would smile while he would begin to talk once again.
"Good I'm glad to hear that you have begun to have a normal life in the village so far, oh also Hinata Yara good luck on the mission." Hearing this they both gave their thanks before they left with an enraged Kiba before the two would stand in front of Tsuande.
"Sakura I'm sure already knows this but because both of you are now Chunin you have access to B-rank and below missions." Hearing this Naruto would get a tad excited Tsuande would begin to speak once again. "Because of this I would assume neither of you want to do D-rank missions at the moment so I'll read off the mission I have to you." As she said this she would begin to read the mission list off of a paper. "I have a C-rank mission. We need a team of shinobi to check out some rumors of a bandit camp being close to the village, normally this wouldn't be an issue but word has gotten out that they are planning something. Another C-rank mission we need someone to randevu with someone in the Sand and take a scroll and take it back here. That is all the C-rank missions I have at the moment. I have a B-rank mission to go to the Sand and begin talking with the new Kazekage to talk about another peace treaty, I am renegotiating the terms of the agreement, I have a B-rank mission in the land of waves, you must go to the land of waves and assassinate a man named Gato and his men along with all of his men." Hearing this Naruto would begin to ponder this to himself before looking at Sakura speaking up.
"Do you care which one we do?" As he said this she would shake her head before he would look at Tsuande speaking again
"Then we'll take the treaty talk with the Kazekage." Hearing this she nodded her head before grabbing a scroll from the desk and putting it on the table.
"Oh and take Shikamaru with you, he'll be good for this kind of mission." Hearing this he nodded his head before looking at Sakura speaking again.
"Meet me and Shika in front of the North gate in an hour. The sooner we leave the better, I prefer we don't have to travel at night." As he said this he made a clone understanding what to do leaving along with the other two.
- at the nara clan -
Shikimaru could be seen having his hands in a half ram seal standing up having his eyes closed, having a shadow and legs trying to make a clone. Naruto would appear in front of Shikimaru not making any noise waiting for him to notice himself.
"Naruto, good to see you, but as you can see I'm training.." Hearing this Naruto nodded his head before speaking up once again.
"Sorry to bother you Shika, but you, me and Sakura have a mission in the land of wind." Hearing this Shikimaru would sigh before opening his eyes, having the shadow fall down, before making eye contact with Naruto. "Meet us at the Northern gate, we will tell you what the mission entails on the rode." Hearing this Shikimaru would sigh as he did the Naruto would puff into smoak. Seeing this Shikimaru would smirk to himself before thinking, walking inside.
"(Those shadow clones are useful, I wish I could use them then I would be able to spend more time watching clouds.)"
