Sirius smiled when Lucius crawled into bed with them.
Rodolphus drifted to sleep feeling safe and content. He shifted closer to Regulus, who wrapped his arms around Rodolphus to keep him and the baby safe.

Rodolphus was now six months pregnant. His mother had been relentless in her attempts to reach him, approaching him many times.
One afternoon, Rodolphus was lounging in the garden when he spotted his mother storming toward him. He shifted to stand, not wanting to give her any advantage. She quickly closed the distance between them.
"Ginger, how dare you do this?" she shouted.
"Please leave," Rodolphus replied firmly.
"You are coming home. You will get rid of that thing and marry who I say," she demanded.
"No, I'm not. Please leave me alone," Rodolphus said, backing up from her.
Ginger moved closer and slapped him hard, the sound echoing through the garden.
Rodolphus froze, holding his cheek, then quickly sent for help.
Sirius ran out, getting between them. "How dare you touch your child!" he yelled.
Tom rushed out as well, glaring at Ginger. "I warned you, did I not?" he said, summoning Death Eaters to take her to the dungeons. Turning to Rodolphus, he asked, "Are you okay?"
"I'm okay, just shocked is all," Rodolphus replied.
Lucius and Regulus came out, ensuring he was alright.
