Sasuke Uchiha stood at the epicenter of chaos, the world around him fracturing under the immense power of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi were battered and exhausted, barely holding on as the battle reached its climax. Sasuke knew what needed to be done. His eyes closed temporarily as he reminisced the good times Team 7 had.
'Better me than them..as long as they can continue living.' He thought with finality.
His eyes snapped back open, his Eternal Rinnegan and EMS glowed with determination as he channeled every ounce of his remaining chakra. The plan was simple, yet it required the ultimate sacrifice.
"Naruto, everyone, get back!" He shouted, his voice cutting through the cacophony. "I'll hold her off. This is our only chance."
Naruto's eyes widened in horror. "Sasuke, no! There has to be another way!"
He shook his head, a rare, soft smile crossing his lips. He innerly thanked them and wished them the best. "There isn't. Take care of everyone, Naruto."
With a final surge of power, Sasuke used his Eternal Rinnegan to open a portal, trapping himself and Kaguya in a dimensional rift. The world around them blurred, and for a moment, everything was silent.
The next thing Sasuke knew, he was falling through an endless void, his body battered and consciousness fading. He had no idea where he would end up, only that he had saved his friends and given them a chance to live.
When he awoke, Sasuke found himself in an unfamiliar landscape. Massive walls loomed in the distance, and the air was filled with an eerie silence.
'Where am I?' He thought as his senses tingled, warning him of impending danger. He was in a new place, but danger was a constant companion.
He decided to check his Chakra levels and noted that it was somehow more than it was before he sacrificed himself, but those were thoughts for later because he wasn't in the Elemental Nations anymore and didn't have the slightest clue where the hell he was.
He pushed himself to his feet, his body still aching from the battle with Kaguya. As he surveyed his surroundings, he heard a distant roar of..something. He could also hear the screams of a woman. His eyes immediately narrowed, and he took off towards the sounds.
He arrived just in time to see a young woman—her dark hair tied in a red scarf—fighting off a group of large humanoid beings. Despite her skill and determination, she was outnumbered and overwhelmed.
Sasuke didn't hesitate. He activated his Sharingan, his movements imperceptible as he leapt into action. Using his taijutsu, he struck the humanoid beings with precision, each blow landing with devastating force. Their weaknesses were easy to spot with his Dojutsu. He summoned his Eternal Rinnegan's abilities, using Shinra Tensei to repel the rest and Amaterasu to engulf them in black flames. They were burnt into crips with nothing left behind.
The young woman, Mikasa Ackerman, watched in stunned amazement as this mysterious warrior decimated the Titans with ease. She had never seen anyone fight like this before, and it left her momentarily speechless.
When the last one fell, Sasuke deactivated his Dojutsu and turned to her. "Are you alright?" He asked.
She nodded, still catching her breath. "Yes, thank you. Who are you?"
"Sasuke Uchiha," he replied, extending a hand to help her up. "I'm not..from here." He started, being vague. "I have amnesia and don't remember how I got here."
Mikasa took his hand, her grip firm. "I'm Mikasa Ackerman. Thank you for saving me, Sasuke."
He nodded, his expression softening slightly. "Do you have a village or home nearby? It's not safe here."
"I do indeed, follow me." She replied and then they took off.
As they made their way back to the walls, Mikasa couldn't help but steal glances at Sasuke. There was something about him—his strength, his quiet determination—that drew her in. She felt a strange sense of comfort in his presence, despite the chaos that surrounded them.
They moved swiftly through the unfamiliar terrain, Sasuke's senses remained on high alert. He noticed the landscape was vastly different from anything in the Elemental Nations, with towering walls and a sense of dread permeating the air. Despite this, he felt a strange connection to this place, as if fate had brought him here for a reason.
Mikasa led him to a hidden entrance in the wall, and they slipped through a narrow passageway. "This way," she whispered, her voice echoing softly in the dimly lit tunnel. "We need to get to the others. They'll want to meet you."
Sasuke nodded, following her lead. The tunnel opened into a large underground chamber, bustling with activity. People moved about, some tending to the wounded, others preparing supplies. The atmosphere was tense but hopeful, a stark contrast to the despair he had felt battling Kaguya.
"Commander Levi will want to speak with you." Mikasa said, guiding Sasuke towards a group of people huddled around a map. "He's our leader."
As they approached, a man with a stern expression and sharp eyes turned to face them. "Mikasa, who is this?" he asked, his tone both curious and cautious.
"This is Sasuke Uchiha." Mikasa replied. "He saved me from a group of Titans. His abilities are... unlike anything I've ever seen."
Levi's gaze shifted to Sasuke, scrutinizing him. "Uchiha, huh? I've never heard of anyone with your skills around here. Where are you from?"
Sasuke met Levi's gaze evenly. "I have no clue where I come from. I just happened to stumble across and help out Mikasa. I'm willing to help in any way I can, that's if you all can help me."
Levi studied him for a moment before nodding. "We could use all the help we can get. Welcome to the Scouts, Uchiha."
Mikasa felt a wave of relief wash over her. Having Sasuke on their side gave her hope. As the group dispersed, she found herself standing next to him, their shoulders nearly touching.
"Thank you, Sasuke." she said softly. "For saving me and for agreeing to help us."
He looked at her, his expression unreadable. "It's the least I can do. Besides, I have nowhere else to go."
Mikasa smiled slightly, a rare expression for her. "Well, you have a place here now. We'll figure out a way to restore your memory and get you back to your home, but until then, you're one of us."
Sasuke nodded, a sense of purpose settling over him. He had been lost, adrift in a new world, but now he had a mission. He would fight alongside these people, protect them, and perhaps, in doing so, find a way back to his friends and his world.
That's if..they were still alive.
