Our Final Talk

It's been quite a journey, hasn't it?

So long we've been together on this path, walking the story of Angel and Sans for years together. Since November of 2020, it's so special to see the time we've spent together with these stories, and it almost hurts to see it come to an end.

But let's see how long we can extend it, shall we?

I asked that anyone who had questions or anything final to say to post it in their last reviews so we could spend some quality time together during the end of this adventure. Sans and Angel have passed on, moved on, so I figured we could all take some time to talk and make some special memories, both Mystic Girl and myself, perhaps even Mystic Man and Jager.

So let's go ahead and start with those questions or responses to the final reviews first, let's have some fun reminiscing about the past of this story and special moments we got to share together.

Thechaosmaster: Trust me Chaos, you're not the only one who's crying-

Mystic Girl: (She's crying hysterically in the background but trying to hide it.) I'm not crying! I'm not! I swear!

Me: It's okay… (As I sit there rubbing her back.) When I originally wrote this, I wasn't going to say how all our favorite characters died… but that wouldn't be realistic. All of them passed in their own way, some easier than others. They had a happy life, and they met again in the afterlife. Who knows if we'll see the children we loved again of our favorite characters? Who knows what we'll see moving forward? There's a new adventure before us coming soon, with details below.

Shadow8Phantom: Its absolutely crazy how you mention that with the fanfiction of Angel and others helping a far off relative and the way I've at least given for Chara is that she's a second cousin that they're going to save. Its almost scary how you always seem to know exactly what it is the plot may be, or at least get a fair inkling of it. I'd be excited to see your take on my characters. If you're writing this privately, I bet its good. XD

MysticBoywastaken: I'm glad your excited Mystic Boy! Make sure to pay attention to the information below as its details about the next story and more info about things. You'll wanna read closely.

Dasansi: Dasansi… its never a chore to talk or work together with you! Never think that! Mystic Girl and I have always enjoyed your responses and talking together, along with your lovely rag tag team. We've always enjoyed you. We're grateful for what you've said and done here with us together, and even if perhaps this story may be over, that doesn't mean that we have to be as fellow writers, readers, or even friends if you consider us that.

You're more then welcome to reach out at any point. PM me and while it make take a bit for me to see the message, I will get back to you, or any of the others, if you want to just chat, talk or anything of the sort. I understand things go on in life, (you'll be reading about some of my own struggles below shortly as you read further down…) and there will always be things that you decide to put off, either because you need to or want to for you own mental or emotional health. Trust me, Mystic Girl and I get it.

But never be afraid to talk. Don't try to hold back talking about your problems. Its worth it to focus on yourself. And losing loved ones… never being able to talk to them again? Trust me… I know that feeling as does Mystic Girl. Both of us have lost our fathers, and it's a rather painful experience, knowing just how much they meant to us. I personally sometimes keep wondering if my father will come back from a business trip, and can't help but feel that way even after him being gone over eight years. I've coped, and Mystic Girl is doing her best, but its hard to no longer have them in your life. To deal with that 'ending'.

But sometimes it helps to think of the ending as another beginning? Just like I did with the final chapter. Even if Angel and Sans died, they now are moving onto another leg of their journey. This isn't over for them. Neither are any of us. Every part of our lives are always met with beginnings and endings. Some we expect, and some we don't. I know it might be hard, but try not to let them get to you. See them as a something exciting, something new. It might be terrifying, trust me it is, but sometimes its good! One example I could give you was me moving in with Jegur, my boyfriend. That's a new journey for me, but it also ended living with my mother. That doesn't mean I stop talking to my mom, I still talk with her, and there area a lot of struggles paying bills and working together with someone, especially when money is involved. So… I suppose what I'm trying to get at with that example is you have to try, and give endings and beginnings a chance. You can't ignore them, because they will come your way no matter what.

Mystic Girl: For me, it was fun and interesting. Working on this together with Halloween is something I always look forward to and I love sharing our story with you guys. Thank you for always reviewing when you can.

Finished with final notes:

Man, so many memories! I loved this story so much, and it's such a sadness that it's coming to an end. Or... is it?

Mystic Girl: (My best friend looked at me a bit worried at that statement. Tilting her head slowly, she watched me hesitantly.) Are... we going to talk about it now?

Me: (I sighed.) I suppose so, it's not fair to keep them in the dark, Mystic. Besides, if they don't want to read it, they don't have to. (I take a moment to look back to the readers gathered with us during that special event.) I'm sorry for being vague, but there's a lot to cover here, so I apologize in advance. What Mystic and I are getting at is... there is one more story... but its origin and full production is nothing compared to what we've done before.

To clarify, we have currently done together a pacifist run story, a side story of side character lives, and a futuristic story of past the underground. This was a beautiful story that took so much time to write, and had so much energy, though, and love put into it.

But... this next story we have to post, it's hardly any of those things. It's short, I wouldn't say rushed or thoughtless, but most certainly fast paced... and it feels soul crushing. A story I never intended to write in the beginning when Mystic and I were working on the others.

However, during the time I didn't live with Jager and was struggling with family issues, my negative emotions grew to unrealistic levels. I wasn't happy, I was miserable. Without going into incredible details, I had a falling out with one of my family members that I lived with back in the years of the first book. We don't talk anymore and their health isn't great, which left me with a lot of stress and strong emotions. Mystic Girl and Jager have been there for me to get through it, but... I still needed another outlet. I needed more...
And that outlet became another book.

This third book, the true continuation to this story, to confirm all our mixed feelings, but also to give full circle to it all. You can't have a pacifist story only, there has to be an opposing genocide story.

And my negative emotions decided to make a story to kill all of our beloved characters that we've grown to love and cherish.

You have no idea how hard it was to say that...

But, I don't want you all to worry about me. I'm in a better environment now, Jager and I see each other every night and we take care of each other. We have a great life together and are slowly making steps closer to what we hope will be a future home, marriage and children one day. We talk to each other. I'm okay.

But that story does represent some serious dark thoughts I had. I hope this won't make you think less of me, but I plan to post this story on October 5, 2024. I don't won't force any of you to read it if you feel where we've ended was the perfect ending, but if you decide you want to take that plunge to see this next story, focusing in on the one character we never got to see during this entire journey, Chara, then be prepared to dive hard.

Now, I will post a small piece here for you to see what you'll be seeing in the beginning of next time, should you wish to. I can tell you already that this story will be twenty chapters long, so if for any reason you want to skip it, I would wait until we post a final talk for that story to see what direction Mystic Girl and I will be heading in beyond that.

Does anyone know what the butterfly effect is? As found on the internet, the butterfly effect is known as "a property of chaotic systems (such as the atmosphere) by which small changes in initial conditions can lead to large-scale and unpredictable variation in the future state of the system."

Why did I bring this to your attention? The most basic meaning that this definition is telling us is that some small changes have small effects on our lives, others have much larger impacts. And this story is based on some such changes.

Our old story, that of Angel and Frisk's "Pacificist Run" was a long and well rewarding story. One that spent much time and effort building characters, dealing with situations in a reasonable manner. Thinking carefully, planning, working together and making friends with the monster kingdom which took a total of ninety-two chapters to complete.

But this… this story is unlike that in all ways and shapes.

The smallest of changes make the largest of impacts. So…

What if when Angel and Frisk fell… they fell into different locations?

I... honestly don't know what to expect from all of you when this first started. I am worried what you all think of this genocide story, but regardless, we love you all. Thank you so much for being with us on this journey. If you decide to fall off the cliff with us, that new story, One Simple World will be posted on October 5, later this year. The beginning of the spooky season to go with this dreadful story into the cold endless winter to pair.

And with that, we will end the last lovely note of this story. Time for us to mark this completed along with the other two. Mystic Girl and I are going to take a break and focus a bit on family for a while, relax a bit, and hopefully we can see you all soon.
