Hello and welcome to the second chapter. First things first I need a beta-reader, since English isn't my first language I don't really see the problems with my Grammar nor my spelling, even if I check it over on site's like office. But I want the Beta-reader to know a little bit of lore from both series note not everything but some things here and there, the reason for this is I want to know how characters would act and interact with each other more info down below, but that's all enjoy!

Chapter 2: The daily life of a jobless student

'It's been about 6 months since I first came to this world and I must say I can't get enough of it.' Momonga was sitting in a chair when the beautiful spring came about it was a perfect contrast to the somber winter he had before.

In the time Momonga had been in this world he learned a whole lot more about it the main source of info came to Roxy when she explained the history of the world. When she asked why I was also listening along I just made up an excuse that I didn't really focus on history and more trained on his magic.

'Roxy and the rest were also more curious about me not only what race I was but also my age, friends, etc. But I answered as truthfully as I could, telling that my mom died early in my life and that my friends saved me during the hardest of time.' Momonga thinking back to the first 2 months with the family

'After they asked where my friends and if I still had any family I was just engrossed in thought and didn't answer them when I was done thinking and wanted to answer but they seemed weirdly apologetic and tuned the conversation elsewhere which I found pretty strange.' Looking back at the field he saw Rudy training with Paul

Paul took a steady stance and leaped forward cutting a nearby boulder in half while saying "You gotta go /swoosh/ and the /slash/." He said not really explaining his movement and what he should focus on to Rudy and just gave vague explanation.

Rudy tried to follow his movement saying "So like this and the like." Trying to mimic what he should saw but seeing how he was just a kid he couldn't do it as effectively as paul and instant just hit the boulder normally, you could almost see the shock of the force going through Rudy's body.

'Well I'm not really any better at teaching the only thing I did was showing him the spell and the incantation with the spell not that he really needed it since he can do it silently like me.' Looking back at his lap he had a book what stood magic for beginners.

'I'm happy that this language is so similar with Japanese.' In the six months Momonga was in this new world he tried to learn the language and although he could now read the basic children's books he still had trouble with the "harder" books

'It's not like I really need the spells in the book but I need to know how to explain the concepts better to young Rudeus. I am lucky to have gotten a student as smart as him but sadly that still doesn't excuse mine inability to teach.' Momanga was the knocked back into reality when he saw Paul explain to Rudy how it was done

"No no no you're doing it more like /bam/ and then /kaboom/." Still using the weird sound effects he makes to explain it

"Okay Okay so like this." Rudy gave it one more try but Paul was still not satisfied

But Momonga couldn't help but to smile at saw the sight and a small none existence smirk, since he didn't really have the needed muscle to do so came behind his mask

'But what I really enjoyed here is just helping young rudeus, my main goal is to see if other players were transported here and better yet if they are my friends. But doing this in the meantime isn't so bad.' Momonga thought slowly looking outwards.

'But I have to face the facts I was the only one out of Nazarick to be transported and in the last 6 months I haven't seen nor heard anything that could be associated with players I may be the only one for a long while.' Momonga still held out hope that maybe one day other players might come but until that day.

"Momonga could you help me with something?" roxy peeked over the window waving to momonga.

"Sure what is it?" Momonga said slowly leaving his chair and standing up, walked towards the door and opened it. In the entrance roxy was there standing a bit nervously "is everything alright?" Momonga said wondering why roxy was calling him.

"Well I'm a bit ashamed to ask this but can you please teach me voiceless incantation!" Roxy said while also lowering her head

'Shit what do I say I mean I never learnt it like Young rudeus did I just could do it thanks to YGGDRASSIL, wait maybe I can apply real world logic to this how hard can it be?' momonga had his hand on his chin thinking about a solution.

"truth be told Roxy I don't really know how I did it too but what I do know is that you need to know the compounds and certain elements to the spell it isn't as simple as simply putting the Mana you have towards your hand and then thinking about the incantation." Momonga was now exactly sounding pretty smart but in reality he didn't know what the hell he was saying just picking up some words he remembered from elementary school

"I see." Roxy said looking like she had now a better grasp about the understanding of voiceless incantation

'wow I can't believe that worked!' momonga was happy that his very rough explanation had some effect even though he just kind of said something that sort of made sense.

'speaking of magic this world has a way different magic system than YGGDRASSIL.' Momonga delve further into thought 'you have seven ranks and in my estimation is that the last rank "emperor" is about lvl 60 to lvl 70.

But since I've only seen what Saint magic casters can do I don't really have a grasp on it. But considering that Saint magic can already alter the weather which was is about 6/7th tier spell in YGGDRASSIL I can only image that the strongest people reach about the power of a lvl 70 character.

Before Mononga could dive even deeper into his own thoughts he was cut off by Rudy.

"m- ma- Master is everything all right?" He said with a little bit of concern in his eyes

'aw how cute he's worried about me.' Momonga looked downwards at rudy who compared to him barely reached his knee's "nothing young Rudeus I was merely stuck in thought. How was your training with Paul?"

"It's fine but I don't really know how he does his attacks it goes swoosh and then kabouw." Rudy said moving as if he had a sword in his hands

Momonga smiled a little again if he ever wanted a child he wanted to be like rudeus.

"Okay enough standing around dinner!" Zenith together with Lilia had prepared dinner and as always it looked delicious.

'aaah what sick joke is this I can't eat but I can smell it's not fair!' Momonga thought to himself. The table was filled with delicious looking food apparently this world had some custom where they celebrated spring for some reason.

Snapping out of his own self pity he composed himself "My apologies but I have some business to attend to but please don't wait for me it looks way to delicious for that anyway." Momonga gave a bow and then slowly walked out the door.

"Alright let's do some testing!" Momonga favorite part of the day was to teach Rudy and just have a nice day his second favorite part was doing experiments.

(middle of the woods Momonga's Pov)

Momonga had many tests in the 6 months he had been in this world and tried to figure out how YGGDRASSIL interacted with this world. He figured out that most of his spells worked just as normal which he found strange since this world doesn't really seem to follow the tier system like in YGGDRASSIL.

What he also figured out was that this world magic has more to do with science than to do with a game like ascetics. He still could summon all of his undead but didn't want to summon the higher tiers since the costed XP

'Mhhh I've tried to see if I could still gain XP, but nothing has really worked although killing a few goblins probably couldn't get me far anyway.' Momonga still didn't really know the abilities he got from that mage all the way back.

'Mh from what I've seen this system of magic allows more flexibility in terms of what you could do with the spells. Although they nowhere near had the quality/quantity of YGGDRASSIL they do have very fine tuning' putting his hands up in the air he spoke out loud considering what he was about to do

"Oh, mighty fire spirits grant me thy strength burn my foes to ash and let the world know of thy might cover the land in flames leaving nothing insight /flash over/."

The land around momonga became a fire storm but as quickly as it appeared it also left leaving a massive forest fire of insane proportion

'ohhh crap probably shouldn't have done this hear.' Quickly using /change weather/ to make sure a good rainy storm came about letting the fire not spread.

'Alright that went well except the whole forest fire part but it went exactly like planned I used the just required amount of mana for the spell and it didn't go too far next week I'm going to try this again and see if I put more mana that if the spell is going to be bigger

'What I still find weird is that there isn't really any magic that helps with certain problems in YGGDRASSIL you practically had a spell for everything. Can't get over a mountain? Use /flight/. Need to be somewhere instantly use /teleport/ or other teleportation like abilities. But in this world, it either isn't really wide know or just doesn't exist

Momonga thought back a few months ago when he went to Annie's Inn and used /teleport/ three people saw him and went absolutely crazy saying that he was some kind of God.

Momonga tried to calm them and explain it, but they just went on and on and on so in the end he used /alter memory/ tomake sure the people didn't bother him anymore.

"Oh well we can't have everything." Momonga reached in his inventory and tried to pick up a notebook he had for the experiments he did to make sure he remembered what the results were of said experiments but the longer he was in his inventory the more he realized 'oh damn it's not in there oh wait I probably just left it in roxy's room I just go grab it real quick.'

And with that he was off.

(back at the house Rudy POV)

"GET OUT YOU BASTARD!" "WE DON'T NEED THE LIKES OF YOU HERE!" a bunch of well-dressed people were screaming at a fat middle-aged man.

"Damn what did I do to deserve this?" the man was walking alone on a rainy night, and it was awful his whole life he had been ridiculed bullied and much more.

Of Crouse that didn't excuse the things he had done but it did make them more explainable.

But before anything more could happen his eyes opened.

'mhh just a dream guess I should've watch more about my mana consumption.' Rudy opened his eyes and looked around him where a few dozen sand made dolls looking back at his hand he silently absorbed all the sand in the room into a small sphere and threw it out the window.

He then noticed the hard noises coming from his parent's room "Uhh oh Paul please." "Your already screaming wait until you see this." The noises became harder and harder

'mhh I hope I will get a younger sister I'm kind of sick of younger brothers.' Rudy thinking back to his old life where he was the second oldest.

Slowly walking up to the door he opened it and thought 'man wouldn't it be funny if I went to their room and said, "mommy why is daddy naked on you?" hahaha' having a small laugh in his mind.

But looking further into the hallway he saw Roxy in a not so innocent position holding her hand around a crotch area.

'mhh well I guess Roxy is a growing girl after all better to pretend I didn't see anything.' But as soon as he turned around, he heard a scream.

"Aaah Momonga I swear it's not what it looks like!" Rudy turned around to see Roxy absolutely bluster having two hands infront of her face. All the while the giant magic caster just said

"I'm s-sorry to intrude please I just needed to get my notebook." And with that he quickly went to Roxy's room but before he could he saw Rudy

"Aaah h-hello young Rudeus how are you?" Momonga stood Infront of Roxy with his massive body trying to hide what she was doing even though Rudy already saw everything

'hahahah man how will he fix this situation let's see, oh I know I'm going to play innocent.' Rudy was having a great laugh in the back of his mind.

"Uh Master Momonga what is master Roxy doing? And what are the sounds from mommy's and daddy's room?" still playing the innocent kid.

Momonga quickly said "you know let's go outside really quick." And before Rudy could react, he already had his clothes on and was standing outside.

'Wow huh how did he do that; did he really just change my outfit that quickly.' Rudy was absolutely perplexed at what had happened

"Master how did you do that?" Rudy looked up at the masked giant with wide eyes of admiration.

Momonga gave a small chuckle and placed his finger before his mask like he was saying that he was silent about some spells "I have my secrets so don't you worry. He you want to see something cool?"

'mh what could he mean? He's probably trying to take my mind away what a nice guy, well let's see how well he can protect my innocents.' Rudy gave a small smirk

"Master what were my parents doing and why did Roxy look so red when she saw you does she have a fever?" trying to sell even more the I'm the innocent kid he tiled his head in confusion as if he really didn't have any clue about what was going

Momonga was absolutely silent for a couple of seconds before he answered

"Listen Young Rudeus you're a very gifted child so one day you will learn what happened but luckily I'm not going to teach you that … still want to see something cool?" Momonga went into a squat position to get to Rudy's level to ask him the same question.

'I wonder what he will show but sure there's no harm in seeing what he will do.' Rudy smiled and said, "Sure master!"

Momonga smiled internally "okay close your eyes for me alright."

'mh could've phrased it better but Momonga isn't that type of person I trust him.' Using his little hands Rudy covered his eyes

Momonga slowly picked him up and placed him in his arms making also sure that he used a little bit of illusion magic to give him a more "alive" feel

'Okay what's he doing?' Rudy thought being scared that he might take him outside his home

"Okay open your eyes." Momonga said in a calm voice

When Rudy removed his little hands, he was scared, he was scared that Momonga might have brought him to something like a library. Rudy's thoughts began to drift back to his high school life.

But when he did open his he didn't see anything of that what he saw was a bright moon in the night sky when he looked down, he realized that they were in the sky. 'Wow this is Beautifull, and I didn't know he could fly this is amazing.

"So, what do you think young Rudeus? Cool I hope." Momonga said with a slight tone of worry thinking he may freak out the young child

"It's amazing thanks Momonga." Rudy said with a smile in truth he hadn't really seen the moon like this a combination of both bullies and his personal habits never let him to enjoy something as Beautifull as this.

The time slowly ticked away and Momonga said "Well it's time for us to head down sounds good?"

Rudy nodded although he seemed a bit down to let go of such a beautiful sky. To tell the truth Momonga also didn't like leaving such a sight since in his old world he never got to see anything like this, but he knew that his parents would eventually worry.

After descending and landing in the front yard it appeared that nobody had really noticed yet that he was gone, maybe that was for the better too.

"Well Young rudeus it has been a fun night but now you must really return to your bed I shall see you tomorrow."

Giving a quick nod a ran back towards the house and his room

Momonga just looked forward and was happy "man what a kid."
