Before Knuckles could try to wake up Sonic again, he heard a couple of voices outside.
"Seelkadoom did you leave your door open?" The first voice asked.
"No I didn't. I better check on Sonic and see if he's okay. I don't want that jackass 'Eggman' to know where he is." The second voice said 'assuming it's Seelkadoom'.
Knuckles panicked and ran off but he forgotten one thing.
It was Sonic.
Knuckles facepalms before he can try to go back for him, Seelkadoom was already at the entrance of the door.
With him is Scourge.
"Well he doesn't look harmed. That's a relief." Seelkadoom said as he entered the room.
Knuckles took a peek at the door entrance as he sees Sonic awoken while Seelkadoom sat on his bedside.
"Hey Seel. What's going on?" Sonic asked 'half tired and half sad'.
"Well Scourge and I saw the door was opened and we needed to see if you were okay. Right now Scourge is looking into every room here." Seelkadoom explained.
Knuckles didn't know what was going on before Scourge runs passed him and towards the two hedgehogs.
"Anything?" Seelkadoom asked.
"I checked every room. No one was here but us. Everything is accounted for. Nothing was stolen." Scourge answered.
"Well there is no way it's Sonic, that's for sure. He was laying down on the bed before I went to the diner. Right where I left him." Seelkadoom said 'taking Sonics hand'.
"So how are you holding up Blue?" Scourge asked in sympathy and pity.
"Honestly, no-not that great. I-I can't believe they're gone." Sonic said before breaking into tears while shaking.
"Aww, brother. It's okay. Don't cry, it's not your style." Seelkadoom said as he pulled Sonic into a hug.
"I can't believe he's gone. All four of them. It's been tonight and..." Sonic said while crying and trailing off.
It was just heartbreaking as Knuckles looks at him. He's never seen Sonic like this.
"If only I wasn't such selfish and cocky egomaniac bitch. This never would happen." Sonic said while crying in Seelkadoom arms.
"Dude, that's who you are. You can't blame yourself for what happened. Sure you drive them crazy with your cockiness, but they're just being dramatic. Besides you and I both know it was their own faults for not tolerating you." Scourge said.
But that only made Sonic cry louder and harder.
"Nice choice of words Scourge." Seelkadoom said sarcastically while glaring at him.
Scourge looked down in shame.
"Sorry blue I..." Scourge said but trailed off.
"No. it's fine, I... You're right it is who I am. But, it's only been today and already I miss them." Sonic said looking down while calming down.
He sniffed while tears streaming down his face.
"Oh, If only I had a chance to tell Knuckles sooner. I just want him to know how I feel about him. I just can't deny the fact any longer." Sonic said while feeling guilty and sad.
"Tell me what? Sonic I'm right here. Hey. Sonic! Look at me." Knuckles said while showing himself.
But no one was paying attention.
"What is going on?! What is happening?!" Knuckles shouted while feeling like he was going to panic.
"They can't hear or see you." The voice said.
Knuckles looks around before exiting and leaving the door open.
"What was that?" Scourge asked as he walked to the living room just after hearing the noise.
"Go to sleep Sonic. You had it rough. It will be okay." Seelkadoom said as Sonic fell asleep in his arms.
Knuckles ran outside as he growled.
"What is going on here?! Why won't Sonic hear or see us?!" Knuckles shouted as he looked at his fingers.
It wasn't long until Tails, Sticks, and Amy found him.
