Chapter 5: Calypso
Sooooo I might have fallen asleep. You see I have an uncanny ability to not know what the heck I am doing until it it too fucking late. As I enter the dream state an all too familiar figure appeared looking at me a bit concerned. As I stood up I looked her dead on the eyes and smiled. "Well at least I am not dead am I right Chaos." She just took me me in a hug before she smacked me hard upside the head. Her expression turned into one of frustration. As she did that she looked at me sternly. "fucking genius you have been using your time ability this entire time. You know that ever since you made it back you had been keeping time going at a quickened state." I realized what had been going as I slapped my head in a bit of a comical way. "no wonder I was feeling a bit gassed I must have forgotten to stop using it after I was sent to earth." I looked at her with a bit of shame in my face as I really did not know what I was doing. She carefully hugged me again before she whispered into my ear saying. "don't worry you did not really expect the extent of your powers as you headed back. It all came to fruition when you tried to stop Nyx. You would have actually stopped her if you weren't burned out because of my blessing." At this I marvel at my own abilities as I look at her a look of concern in my face. "wait I only have 24 hours before I get removed from Calypso island I should head back soon." She nodded before she looked at me and kissed my forehead again. "Yes go and please keep in mind how powerful you really are to you time will run normally unless you really make it obviously." As she let go she smiled and waved as I felt my mind go back to my body.
I woke up with a start as I looked outside and saw that it was morning. I concentrated to see what time it was. I had only been asleep for 6 hours so I sighed in relieve. As I sat up I looked around at my surroundings looking at the all to familiar hut. The little fire burning under the pot as the food smelled good. I looked at the small blanket that was drapped over me. It's soft texture was nice as I stood up and stretched. I took a few steps as I opened the curtain and started to slowly walk all around the island. The peaceful setting was very calming as I head the birds chirp all around me. The waterfall to my left spraying a bit of water as I looked at the beautiful blue lake was a kind of soothing look to me. I continued down the stone path as I reached the location I had wanted to arrive at. A little garden that had a plethora of flowers sprouting. The colors all coordinated perfectly as I walked around smelling the nice smells of all the blooming flowers. As I reached the patch of roses I saw Calypso tending to the flowers. Her small hands patting the dirt as she started to water it and started to chant a bit to make the flowers blossom. I cleared my throat as I made my presence known. She looked up and smiled as she approached. Once she got close as she launched and hugged me wrapping her legs around me as she cuddle up close to me. "Ohhhhh Percy I was so worried for you when you just collapsed in my arms. You know you have grown a lot since it was so hard to carry you all the way towards the hut." I would laugh as I could just imagine this small little girl carrying my lifeless body up the hill to the home. I just laughed and looked her in the eyes being
mesmerized as I started to speak. "Yeah well I am just getting used to being here again. I assume you know about my little disappearance." I said calmly placing her down as I made sure to not drop her. She patted my shoulders as she plucked a rose from the line and placed it in my hair smiling at her decision. "Yes I had heard it from Hermes when he came over. I was honestly devastated when I heard about it wondering if I would ever get to see you again." It looked like she was about to start crying when I just nodded my head and smiled. "Hey you can get rid of me that easily. Anyways I am here now and I am here to do exactly what I told you all those years ago." She looked at me with a very puzzled look. She couldn't get a read on what I was getting at until I smiled coyly and said. "I am busting you out of here you definitely do not deserve to be trapped on this island just because you cared about your family. No one deserves that kind of punishment." At this she looked at me longingly as she just let her shoulders drop. "Percy you know there is no way for me to leave the island. Many have tried but none have succeeded I have just given up hope at this point." I felt a pang on my chest ad she said that. I knew that she had been trapped here for so long and the fact that she didn't get to see the outside world hurt me even more. I resolved and just kept my spirits high as I looked at her and smirked. "Oh don't worry I will definitely get you out. Anyways I think you should go and get ready because tonight I will be having us leave. While you do that I thunk I will go and freshen up a bit." I pointed towards the waterfall as she just smiled and grabbed her basket of seeds. She looked at me and kissed my cheek. "Thank you for doing this hopefully you are right in the fact that I may be able to leave." With that she turned and left back to the hut as I started towards the water to take a nice little refreshing shower so that I can be ready for tonight.
As I removed my clothes I can't remember the last time that I had taken a shower and cleaned up. I swam to the middle of the lake as I washed my hair. I decided to get right under the waterfall as I slowed the water flow a bit to make it easier to wash my body off. As I continued to clean off I didn't realize I was being watched by Calypso. She was staring at my naked body biting her lower lip as she did not want to look away. Just before she could turn around and leave a female voice spoke behind her. "You like what you see don't you. He is one mighty fine man doesn't he. I wonder if he knows how to use that weapon he has on him." Calypso jumped back in surprise as Nyx was standing there next to her smiling at her flustered look. "Don't worry I am not here to harm you. I was just here to check up on him to see if he is almost ready to bring you back. This is not my real body but a projection. I just want you to tell him to look to the shadows when the time comes." At that Nyx dissappears as Calypso looks back seeing Percy drying himself off. She was wondering if Percy was still with the Athena girl as she ran back to not be found out by Percy.
I walked back to the hut having freshened up. The nice feeling of my body being clean felt good as I stepped in looking at Calypso as she had a bright red face as she stood there in her nice white dress. I shook my head spraying a bit of water all over the place. "So Caly you ready for us to head out." I looked out as the sun was now gone and night had peaked it's head out. Calypso just smiled at the nice nickname before she remembered to let Percy know about what Nyx had told her. "Oh yeah Percy Nyx stopped by in her shadow form and told me that for us to get out to look to the shadows." being in this light she actually noticed that his eyes where a shade of gold as it had no looked like that before. "Hey Percy ever since when are your eyes a
golden galaxy." I just looked and remember as I had not really used my powers to flare my eyes out. I remembered that Chaos had said my eyes would look normal until my true identity was revealed to someone. "It's a long story but I will definitely get to it when we get out. So let's head out to the shadows we do not have too much time left before I get forcefully pulled out." I took her hand as we walked out to forest looking through the trees seeing a weird symbol appear on a tree. I felt my sword glow as I took it out and slashed the mark making a black hole. "Well I guess this is our way out. You ready to finally leave this place." Calypso nodded as she took my hand and smiled. "Yes let's go." With that we stepped into the darkness leaving the comfort of the island and back to the real world.
