Chapter 61 Widow No More

Back at the base Akira watches as the troopers walked to a warehouse inside of the base to keep them safe.
Next to him is Winston. "It's a good thing you found them, if Talon did we would have been in trouble."
"Yes, they were most likely made by the others that have rider powers." Akira said.
"Of course, but for now, i'll be making sure nothing happens to make them go rogue." He said.
Akira nodded. "After that T-1000 started to make other machines follow him it's been making problems."
Overwatch has been sending a few members to stopped them as the rogue machines have been attacking humanity, only positive is that they also affected Talon making it harder for them too.
"Yes, they're a big threat, but it's better you keep an eye out for anything." Winston said.
"I know, we've been checking with the denliner if those guys have been doing anything bad." Akira said.
"Good, we can't let the peace we built be destroyed because of the rogues."
Akira then looks outside a window to see Mei playing with Miri.
He smiles at the scene as she's the one he has to save the most.
"So I heard that Miri has been seeing this woman." Winston said.
"Wait... What?!" Akira looks at him.
"Yes."
"But I told her not to talk to strangers." Akira grunted.
"That damn brat!" Momotaros said.
"Calm down senpai, it seems that Miri was just making a new friend." Urataros tried to calm everything.
Hana came inside the cart. "How could she be irresponsible."
"She is a little girl." Naomi said.
"I'll have to watch her this time." Hana crosses her arms.
"Are you sure?" Urataros said.
"It will be better for her." Hana said.
Akira heard and nodded. "Okay, it's been solved."
"How?" Winston asked.
"Someone of the others of Denliner will watch over Miri." He said.
"Oh good, protecting Miri is a top priority." Winston said.
With Widowmaker
She was now sitting on a rooftop as she takes out a picture of Miri she took from a distance.
The more she stares at the smile it makes her heart beat a little faster.
"I should not care. But the more I stare into her eyes." She said.
Then something dropped on to the picture getting it wet.
Widowmaker got surprised as tears came out of her eyes.
She touches them and stares at the liquid. "What's this? Tears?"
She then screams in pain holding her heart while backing away.
"What's... Happening to me?"
She grunts in pain as more of her heart was changing.
She slowly crawls forward to hide inside a building.
Driving down the streets on a bike was a woman and it was Sojourn.
She stops and looks up. "Well good to be back."
She then saw saw Akira and Miri together.
"Hey your the new guy?" She said.
Akira looks at her. "Wait... Sojourn?"
"Yeah, I was wondering where to find the base and I heard of you from the others." She said.
"Well my name is Akira." He introduced himself to her.
Miri waves at her and Sojourn waves back.
"Huh, cute kid."
Miri looks up. "Hey the nice lady."
Akira looks and saw Widowmaker against a window. "Widowmaker?!"
"What?!" Sojourn looks and saw her. "That damn woman!" She takes out her gun.
"Wait!" Akira stopped her. "Theres something wrong, she's not aiming at anybody."
Sojourn blinks and he was right.
They went inside of the building to see what she's doing.
Widowmaker then bumps against a table making it fall.
"What's happening to me?" She said.
She then felt her heart in pain while the process that made her is fighting against something inside of her.
She leans against a wall and saw a old house instead of the building she was at.
Her vision made her look like her past self, Amélie Lacroix.
"What?" Amélie said.
Akira and the others came inside.
"Miss Amélie!" Miri gasped.
"Amélie?" Akira got surprised.
She looks at them and saw Akira as Gérard.
"Gérard? Your home?"
"Gérard?" Sojourn said.
"That must have been her husband." Akira said.
Soujourn got surprised at the info. "Is she going crazy?"
"The procedure that they did to her. It's reverting, which means we can help her." Akira smiles.
"Your trying to say we help a Talon member?" She thought she was crazy.
"Trust me." He goes forward.
"Wi... Amélie are you okay?" He asked her.
She raises her arms to him, he grabs them slowly as he helps her back on her feet.
Then she hugs him and started to dance with Akira, in her mind she's dancing with her husband making her smile.
Akira was stunned but played along.
"It's working." Sojourn was stunned.
Amélie then kisses him as she felt... Love.
She gasped in pain again and goes against the window. Her vision was back to normal and she looks at her reflection through the window as the sun shined. Her heart was beating normal again.
"My heart... It's so warm..." She touches her face to see the tears. "And i'm leeking."
She then looks at Miri. "Oh Miri."
The little girl blinked.
"I love you!" She runs to her hugging Miri as the others got surprised.
"I can't believe it... You just made a miracle with your daughter's help." She said.
Akira nodded and noticed her skin was slowly changing a bit, becoming lighter.
"It's best we take her now before Talon finds out." Akira said.
Sojourn nodded as they carried the two away from this place and headed back to HQ.
At Talon
They were having meeting with Moira mad.
"The procedure was reverted!" She exclaimed.
"I checked the machine and yeah, Widowmaker is not Widowmaker anymore." Sombra said.
"How is this even possible?" Doomfist said.
"She has been going out a lot. But we could never track her. We asumed she was gathering intel but it seems what happened caused her to change slowly." Reaper said.
"Find her!" Moira demanded.
They got surprised by her tone.
"I will not allow this experiment to be a failure after so much work! I want her captured again!"
Moira was mad that the experiment that made Widowmaker got canceled and if she knew the truth of how it changed she would be even angrier.
"Well back to looking for clues." Sombra goes off.
Talon was in shock that they're best sniper is now gone and Overwatch now has a good advantage over them without her helping the group.
"Who could have changed her?" Reaper said.
Note: Widowmaker is now free from the control, as it was a slow change, with her always meeting Miri caused her heart to grow bigger and the good times came back.
