Bumblebee was monitoring the comms. while Fixit was helping Ratchet with Bluesteel. He was surprised to see that Blades and Chase was calling.
"Hey guys. Everything ok?"
"Heatwave is concerned about the status of his sister. How is she?"
"Ratchet and Fixit are combing through her memory banks right now. I don't know what all they've found yet. When I know, you will. Tell Heatwave to relax. I will talk to Sunstreaker about giving him the gun. I don't think the chief will like that he has it."
"The chief does not know about it yet. I think it would be wise if Sunstreaker came and got it. If Cody sees Heatwave with it, he could tell his father."
"Understood Chase. I will bridge him over there right away."
While they were all talking, Heatwave came running in. He looked perplexed.
Blades and Chase looked at Heatwave. "What's wrong?"
Heatwave noticed that Bee was still on the comms. "I'm so glad you hadn't hung up yet, Bumblebee. There's something wrong with Blue."
"Did she reach out to you?"
"Not exactly. I could feel the pain on her end, though. I don't think she's liking whatever Ratchet is doing to her."
"Him and Fixit are combing through her memory banks to find out what is wrong with her. I will let them know that its causing some kind of pain and you're experiencing it on your end."
Just then, Ratchet called out to Bee that they found something.
"That's good news, Ratchet. I'll be right there."
"I'm taking the ground bridge over there, Bumblebee. I need to be with her."
"Understandable Heatwave. I'll send it over right now. We'll wait for you. Bee out," Then the computer screen went black.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
The scrapyard outside of Crown City. The ground bridge had just opened and Heatwave had walked through. He walked up to Ratchet and the others and couldn't believe what he was seeing with his own optics.
"Am I seeing that right?"
"Yes, you are. The Decepticons had downloaded a virus into her memory banks which prevented her to remember anything recent after the fight with the Stunticons."
"Can it be removed without causing any lasting effects?"
Raf pushed up his glasses and proceeded to explain everything to Heatwave and the others.
"Translastion please, Raf. Even I didn't understand what you said."
"Sorry Bee. In a nutshell, when I remove the virus and add a virus proof firewall, she should be back to normal. She will remember everything before the fight."
"I hope so, Raf. I've missed her so much."
Heatwave looked at Bee. "You're not the only one, Bumblebee. She's my twin sister."
"I'm fully aware of that, Heatwave. Before I forget, do you have that gun Sunstreaker gave you?"
"You want it back, don't you?"
"Yes. If I had known sooner that you had it still after you left, I would have asked for it before you went back."
"I understand. I appreciate the opportunity to help your team. I hope to do it again soon."
"I'm glad you could give us hand. I heard that Blue did a good job as leader."
"Yes, she did. Even though we had our differences, she put them aside to execute the mission to get everyone back."
"I'm glad she did. I was worried that she wouldn't have been able to. Guess I was wrong."
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
About 2 hrs. later, the anti-virus was downloaded into Bluesteel's memory banks. It also has a heavy duty firewall within it so this type of thing won't happen again. Now, it's a matter of time 'til she regains her full memory before the fight with the Stunticons.
Another hour had gone by and Bluesteel had started coming around. Everyone had stayed by her side in the hopes that she still remembered everyone, Heatwave especially.
"Hey, she's coming around."
I looked down at Raf on my left. "Hey Raf. What are you doing here?"
"You remember who I am?"
"Of course. Why would I not?" Then I looked to my right and saw Bee with a huge grin on his face.
"What are you smiling about, my buzzing bee?"
"You remember me? Thank Primus!" Then he hugged me. I was a bit confused but hugged him anyway. I figured he would fill me in on what I missed.
Everyone had just gotten back from patrol when they saw Bee hugging me.
"Looks like she regained her memories."
Jazz felt dejected now. He understood how Bee felt when Blue didn't remember him. I noticed Jazz and didn't like his demeanor. I pushed Bee away from me and stood up. I had walked over to him.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
He looked at me and smiled. "I'm glad you're feeling better, Blue."
I looked at him strangely. "What are you talking about? I didn't know I was sick."
"You had a computer virus screwing with your systems." Then he walked away. I couldn't figure out what was going on with him. I turned to Bee and the others.
"What am I missing? What did I do for him to act so cold to me?"
Bee walked up to me and guided me away from everyone. "You weren't yourself for a while, love. The Decepticons had downloaded a virus into your systems and it caused you to only remember the missions you were on with Jazz and his team along with your relationship with him. You didn't remember that you and I are engaged to be bonded."
I looked towards where Jazz had walked and sighed then looked back at Bee.
"I feel so horrible now. I have to make things right with him."
"I'll talk to him. Him and I go way back. Before you joined his team."
"Tell him whatever I did, I'm sorry. If I hurt him in some way, I didn't mean to."
Bee put his hand on my shoulder and brought me closer to him. He hugged me again. "Its not your fault, Blue. I'll straighten everything out with him, ok?"
"Yeah, I guess." Then I sighed. "I'm sorry for being a buzzkill, Bee. I'm just so confused as to what happened to me."
"What do you remember?"
"Just beating the slag out of the Stunticons. Everything else is a blank."
"You killed Slashmark. Then you had a blank look on your face. The twins saw you kill the Decepticon."
"Wait, what now?"
"You killed a Decepticon. You don't remember doing that?"
"Nope. Is there some kind of video to prove what I did?"
"You'd have to ask the twins. Your brother is here, too."
"I can feel him. He's reaching out to me."
"Why haven't you reached back out?"
I gave Bee a kiss on the cheek. "Cause I've been busy getting reacquainted with my buzzing bee."
"He's been worried about you since you lost your memory."
I put my hand over my spark and smiled.
~Glad to have you back, sis.~
~Glad to be back, bro. I'm confused as to what happened.~
~Bumblebee tell you what happened?~
~That's what he's been doing. He said I killed a Decepticon. That doesn't sound like me.~
~I know it doesn't. That was one reason I was worried about you.~
~What's the other or do I wanna know?~
~When you lost your memories, you flat out told me that I wasn't your brother.~
~I said that? Oh Primus! I'm so sorry, Wave.~
~Don't worry about it. I don't hold it against you.~
~I feel a little better now.~
~Just enjoy your time with Bumblebee and we'll talk later. I love you, sis.~
~I love you too, bro.~
"Everything ok, love?"
"Yeah. Just chatting with my bro. We're gonna talk more later. He's just glad I'm my old self again."
"I am too. I missed you so much. I even gave Jazz my ring since you didn't remember being my fiancé."
"You will get it back from him when you talk with him. Please explain why I have the Matrix. And why isn't Prime here?"
"You have no memory of what happened, do you?"
"No, I don't."
"Why don't we go sit down and I'll explain everything. Its gonna be a long story."
I was about to say something when I was being called on my comm. I answered it.
"Yo!"
"Hey Blue. How you feeling?"
"A bit better. What can I do for ya, Sunny?"
"You didn't even check your caller ID to see who it was. How'd you know it was me calling?"
"You and Sides have always watched out for me. I ask again. What can I do for ya?"
"Just checking in on ya. We also saw Jazz burn rubber out of the scrapyard. What happened?"
"Ratchet combed through my memory banks and found the problem. Raf fixed the problem. I have my memories back and Bee couldn't be happier right now."
"That's great, Blue! Bee was worried you would never get them back. But what about Jazz?"
"He's dejected now since I have my memories back. I think he enjoyed having me back as his mate, but…"
"What's Bee think about that?"
I looked at Bee. He shrugged.
"I don't think he cares either way, Sunny. He's just glad I'm back. He's also going to talk to Jazz. I don't like that he acted so cold towards me before he sped out of here."
"Want us to go after him?"
"No. I'll wait 'til he comes back. He's my responsibility. I'm his commanding officer, afterall."
"If you change your mind, give us a ring. We'll let you get back to Bee and we're glad you have your memories back, Blue."
"Thanks, Sunny. Tell Sides thank you for thinking of me."
"We're just being good friends and looking out for you."
"I know. I'm glad you're sticking around, Sunny. The whole time I was traveling around the world, I kept wondering what happened to you."
"Been on my way here to be with my obnoxious, yet lovable twin."
I smiled. "Bee is getting a bit impatient, so I have to get going. Later Sunny."
"Later Blue." Then I ended the call and looked at Bee again. I knew he was getting impatient without looking at him.
"Bout time, Blue."
"Oh come on, Bee. Sunny and Sides have always looked out for me. They're just making sure I'm ok."
"I know, but this is our time together since getting your memory back. I don't wanna waste a min. of it."
I kissed his cheek. "Let's go for a walk."
"Sounds good to me, beautiful."
"Anything sounds good to you, love."
"As long as it involves you, of course."
Bee took my hand and we went for a walk. I wish I could share how I really feel about him. I love him so much.
I put my right hand over my spark. I sent a message to my twin. Bee noticed my hand over my spark.
"You ok?"
I sighed and nodded. "That didn't sound convincing. What's going on?"
"Its Jazz. I didn't like how he acted before he left."
"I noticed that too. You're conflicted, aren't you?"
"I won't lie to you, love. I'm very conflicted but I don't wanna hurt you."
"If you want to stay with Jazz, then I'll stay your friend."
"No. I know it'll hurt you. I can't have your death on my hands, Bee. Not again. It hurt the first time."
"Yeah, it would hurt me, but in time, I'd get over it."
"Who are you kidding? We've been together for 2+ decades. It would take that long for you to get over me."
We stopped and looked at each other. Bee pulled me closer to him and kissed me passionately. First time in about a yr. he's kissed me like that. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist.
After we broke from the kiss, he smiled at me. I smiled back. "I want you to do the right thing, love. I want you to choose who you want to stay with. No matter what happens, one of us will stay your friend."
"Don't make me choose, baby. I already know who I'm spending my life with. He's standing right in front of me."
"Are you sure you want to spend your life with me? You and Jazz looked pretty cozy to me."
I stepped back a few feet and stood there in complete shock. "Did you just question my loyalty and faithfulness to you?"
"I just want to make sure you don't make the wrong choice later down the road."
I looked at my left hand, took the ring off and threw it at him. "Until you decide to apologize, you can keep the ring and consider our engagement off. Good day, Lieutenant."
I turned around and walked away. I couldn't believe that he questioned my loyalty to him. I'm sorry I had a relationship with Jazz back in the day.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
I had been sitting on top of one of the signs in the scrapyard. Thinking if I still wanna be leader or make him my 2IC.
"The nerve of him to question my loyalty or my faithfulness to him. Maybe I'm better off with Jazz. He never questioned me about my loyalty or my faithfulness to him.
I scanned for Jazz's comm. link number then called him.
"Yo!"
"Really Jazz? That's how you respond to your commanding officer now?"
"You ok? You sound upset."
"How observant. Yeah, I am pissed. We need to talk but not over the comms. Where are you?"
"Outside of Crown City. On my way back. You're right. We do need to talk. Meet me 3 miles from the scrapyard. We'll talk there."
"Ok. See ya soon. Blue out." Then I cut the line. I jumped down from the sign and walked over to the command center.
"Hey Fixit. Let everyone know I will be out for a while. Meeting up with Jazz. Him and I are going to talk about earlier today."
"Understood Blue. If I may ask you a personal question?"
"Of course. Shoot."
"What is going on with the Lieutenant? He's not in a good mood."
"He questioned my loyalty and faithfulness to him and dared to ask me if I really want to spend my life with him. I gave him back the ring and told him to consider our engagement off 'til he decides to apologize."
"What do you plan to do?"
"Let him think about what he said and when he's ready to apologize, I'll be ready to listen. Until then…"
"Understood. I won't bring it up to anyone."
"Thanks Fixit."
"Thank you for fixing my vocalizer."
"You're welcome. I'm surprised no one tried to fix the problem before now."
"No one knew where to look. You did."
"I had a minicon helper like you once upon a time. He had the same problem."
"So, you knew how to pinpoint the problem and isolate it. Good thing you're familiar with my programming. Again, thank you, Blue."
"Anytime, Fixit. Jazz and I will be back later."
"Take your time, Blue. No need to rush." I nodded then transformed and headed for the meeting place.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
10 mins. later, I saw Jazz waiting for me. I transformed and walked up to him. "Hey."
"Hey yourself. Everything ok?"
"No. Everything is all wrong. Bee thinks I'm not good enough for him. He questioned my loyalty and faithfulness to him earlier."
"The one thing I've never done when we were together. The fact that he dared to question your faithfulness proves that he doesn't trust you. Even when you were deep undercover, I trusted you not to sleep with another mech."
"And I didn't. I stayed faithful to you, Jazz. And you stayed faithful to me."
"How long together?"
"2+ decades. If he doesn't apologize by nightfall, then I'm done with him for good. I'll offer the position to you."
"What position?"
"2IC."
Jazz noticed I wasn't wearing the ring Bee gave me. "Gave it back, huh?"
"Yep. Like I said, he has 'til nightfall to apologize to me. Now, can I ask why you were so cold to me earlier today? What did I do to you to deserve that?"
"You did nothing wrong, Blue. It was me. I understand how Bee felt when you didn't remember being engaged to him when your memory banks were wiped. I shouldn't have treated you like I did. I am so sorry."
I took another step closer and hugged him, then shocked him when I kissed him.
"Think that was a good idea, Blue?"
"Are you bitching about it, now?"
"I'm just shocked you did that. You should try to patch things up with Bee. If it doesn't work out, then you and I will talk about getting back together."
I smiled and nodded. "Not sure if I wanna try to patch things up with him. Not after he questioned me like that."
"Will you at least hear him out?"
"Of course I will. I believe in hearing both sides of a problem."
"That's what makes you a great friend to everyone, beautiful."
Jazz and I looked towards the voice. I knew who it was. "What do you want, Lieutenant?"
Jazz put his hand on my shoulder. "Hear him out. Don't get defensive yet." I nodded.
Bee sighed and walked up to us. He pulled the ring out and got down on one knee and proposed again.
"Give me a reason why I should? You clearly don't have trust in me."
Bee stood up. "You're right, Blue. I don't like competition, especially when it comes to the femme I still love deeply. I was wrong for questioning your loyalty or your faithfulness to me. After seeing you with Jazz, I felt like I was losing more than just my fiancé. I was losing my best friend, too. I'm also sorry to you, as well, Jazz. I was jealous."
Jazz and I both looked at each other in shock. "Did he admit to being jealous?"
"He sure did, Blue. He's never been jealous of anything I've done."
"That's cause I've never told you, Jazz. You're better at everything that I do. Even taking my fiancé."
"Now hold on a min., Bee. I had been with you longer than I was with Jazz. Don't assume, ok."
Jazz sighed. "What? What's wrong?"
"You have to choose who you want to spend your life with, Blue. Me or Bee?"
"This is how the problem started in the first place. I'm not choosing between you 2."
"Then you're saying that you don't want either of us?"
"I don't know what I want right now, guys. Give me a few to figure it out, ok?"
"Sure. We didn't mean to put pressure on you."
I smiled. "I know. Both of you head back to the scrapyard. I'll be there soon. I need some time alone to think about everything."
They both nodded then transformed and headed back to the scrapyard. They hated to leave me alone but knew I needed time to think.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
The scrapyard. Bee and Jazz got back as everyone was refueling for the night. Ratchet walked up them and offered them each a cube.
"How is she?"
"She needs time to herself right now. We weren't going to argue with her. She is our leader."
"She's also your fiancé, Bumblebee."
"No, she's not, Ratchet. She gave the ring back. She needs time to think who she really wants to spend her life with."
"We hope its you, Bee." The twins had walked up and heard the tail end of the conversation.
"Thanks Sideswipe. Is there anything you and Sunstreaker need?"
"Not really. We tried to call Blue a few mins. ago. She's not answering her comm."
"I'll call Heatwave and see if he can feel her on his end of the bond."
"Think Drift might have a chance to get her to answer?"
"Maybe, but I don't wanna send him out to search for her until I know she's alive."
"Are you suggesting what I think, Bee?"
"Its possible. Look at me. I took the cowards way out instead of confronting Optimus."
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Griffin Rock Firehouse. Heatwave was in deep recharge when he felt something in the bond. He didn't like what he felt, either. He headed for the communication room to contact Bee.
Just as he was about to call him, Bee called him instead. "Spooky. I was just going to call you, Bumblebee."
"Then you know why I'm calling?"
"Yeah, I do. I can't feel her on my end of the bond. I hope she didn't do what you did, Bee."
"I hope she didn't either, Heatwave. Would you like to come help look for her? I'm gonna send Drift out to look for her."
"I'd like to, but I need to be ready in case we are needed, even late at night."
"Understood. I'll let you know if Drift finds her."
"Do you think she…?"
"I don't know, Heatwave. I hope not. Talk with you soon. Bee out." Then the computer screen went black. Heatwave put his hand over his spark and lowered his head.
"Please be ok, sis. I can't lose you." He headed back to his recharge bunk and tried to power down for the rest of the night, if he could. He was worried about his twin sister.
