Inside... Someone sits on the hospital bed, a woman with white hair, fair skin and blue eyes... Xavier is there as well... And he knows her. Yorktown, Eagle Union Aircraft Carrier and older sister of Enterprise and Hornet.

She must've been here for a while judging from her appearance of injuries. At the medical bay room, she is shocked to see as much as others in there as next to her, Hood laid on the hospital bed, her removable accessories such as her hat and the riggings have to be removed. She is also equipped with medical equipment, as the monitor checks for vital signs...

While the repair ship of Eagle Union Vestal, who looked worried, is doing her best to check her signs. She examines Hood, as herself looked ghostly pale as if life was sucked out of her...

"...I have heard of the commotion..." Yorktown recalled the battle. "Is..."

"The rest are... Fine." Belfast said with discomfort. "Don't worry, Enterprise is okay..."

"That's not my only concern..." Yorktown replied, glancing, at Prince of Wales who along with Xavier, Belfast and stood by. Then she looks at the Commander...

Meanwhile a moment of time that felt like hours for Wales occurred as Vestal... Stopped examining. "Vestal...?" Wales spoke up.

Vestal turned, slight tears in her eyes. "Wales..." She muttered, "She's not going to wake up..." She stated as she quivered her breath.

Wales' eyes widened a bit, "...You can't do anything to bring her back? Not even the wisdom cube?" She spoke out.

Vestal shook her head, as she looked at the unconscious faded Hood, "What Bismarck has done... It has permanently ceased all of her life signs." She explained, trying her best not to cry. "I can't bring her back, through any means... It looks like a deep sleep, and I don't know if I can..." She covered her mouth and kneels.

Wales looked devastated, not by the results, but seeing Vestal being helpless... She goes closer to her, to comfort her. Meanwhile, Xavier stares at Hood... His expression looks... Troubled.

Loud sounds... As yelling occurs between nearly all the Kansens, while Xavier remains seated on the lunch table. The rest of the mess hall is filled with other girls arguing amongst themselves and some are silent and uncomfortable in this situation.

"What do we do about this?!" Queen Elizabeth questioned in frustration. "Any time passes and the enemy might make its next move!"

"I know the times of frustration are valid..." Richelieu tried to settle the situation.

"But what?!" Washington exclaimed. "They attacked us, and killed Hood!" She is fumed with rage, while King George V and Howe try to comfort the downed Wales when mentioning Hood.

"Washington..." North Carolina whispered.

"Damn comrade traitors!" Gangut has been agitated after the battle. Rossiya remains dead silent unlike the other leaders...

"Rossiya?" Kirov spoke out, wanting to hear her words...

"..." Rossiya remains silent.

"Why would... Ayanami...?" Javelin mutters to herself, Laffey notices and gives a slight hug. "Laffey does that mean Nimi might..." She paused, no she does not want to mention that idea despite the inevitable outcome.

"Commander...?" Reno calls out, gaining attention to Xavier who's been witnessing this scenario. "What do we do...?" She asked nervously.

"Commander!" Kronshtadt spoke up, "We should tell the officials about this traitorous announcement! I advise you to contact them so we are provided with reinforcements!" She advised him.

Cleveland raised her hands, "Wait, we can't make immediate action." She was worried by the suggestion.

"Agreed... We should take them down." Hunter stated.

Eagle refuted, "No. We must not resort to immediate action without a plan." She reminded them while Enterprise and Hornet are there, which Hornet sees Enterprise is also remaining quiet, and seeing the dispute happening to each other while the Commander isn't saying anything...

"Everyone!" Hornet yelled, gaining everyone's attention. Then she turns to Xavier, "Commander... We need your words." She said, with urgency hinted in her voice.

"..." Xavier is silent, but everyone is looking at him. He has decided... "...We won't inform them." He stated.

"Huh?" Queen Elizabeth exclaimed. "After what they've done..."

Richelieu raised her hands in concern, "Your Majesty." She assured her. "Let him explain..." She turns and nods to Xavier as he begins to speak.

"I was told that times have changed from them, and I assume back at the first war, they weren't as kind as before when I was interrogated, right?" Xavier assumed, as there are slight nods from others. "Then if we talk about this heel turn, the trust would already be broken."

Queen Elizabeth sighed and accepted his words as Warspite spoke out, "Then what is our next move?" She asked.

"We need to know how they get this power." Xavier said as he stood up, "Do their powers look familiar to you?" He asked.

"The portals..." Enterprise called out, gaining his attention, "They function like Siren ships when summoned for battle." She explained.

"They got Siren tech..." Ingraham realized about the reveal, Xavier noticed her look of slight surprise.

"You got something?" Xavier replied.

Ingraham nodded, "Back when... Commander was alive. We faced not just Siren but human terrorist allies who worship the Sirens, have you heard of them?" She asked.

"No." Xavier shook his head.

"Of course, it was a secret mission exclusively for us. Not even the army could know." Ingraham stated. "We managed to comprehend some of their secret islands of resources..."

"And that's where they might get the resources." Xavier concluded. "I need a fleet of those willing to go, the rest must stay, repair and stay on guard of the base." He ordered.

Enterprise steps in, silenced but her action proves her words. Hornet looked worried upon seeing the instant move, Xavier saw. Hornet joins in as well, then some join in, those he recognizes...

Washington, North Carolina, Sheffield, Belfast, Eagle, Reno, Cleveland, Montpelier, Columbia, Denver, Baltimore, Rossiya, Gangut, Kriov, Hunter, Sirius, Dido, and even Prince Of Wales comes in much to the surprise of her sisters. Suddenly, a hand is raised, gaining his attention too as he sees Javelin and Laffey.

"We want to join too!" Javelin replied.

Xavier nodded, "Very well. Prepare for the mission, we move at night." He stated.

Hours pass as the sun slowly is reaching to set... Enterprise is with Yorktown, along with Hornet beside her. Yorktown is told of this mission and what exactly happened. "I could not believe it... Then Amagi..." Yorktown paused as she murmured in sadness, then she continued. "...Even what just happened, you both have to go?" She asked.

"Yes." Enterprise stated. "We are investigating potential clues of where they obtained such power. And if acquired, can counter the enemy."

"The enemy is our friends, Sister." Hornet reminded her.

"Yet, they willingly attack us, and disdain the Commander's wish." Enterprise replied instantly.

"I know what they did." Hornet explained. "But it shouldn't be like this... It... Shouldn't..."

"They gave the first warning, and we lost Hood. Are you really thinking they won't hesitate to go again?" Enterprise questioned. This caused Hornet to be slightly recoiled by her words.

"Enterprise..." Yorktown spoke softly.

Enterprise remains silent before speaking. She shook her head, retaining her cold-look expression. "They are a threat for all humanity and the remains of Azur Lane. This is war. That's how it is..." She then stood up. "We must prepare for the expedition." She walks off.

"Sis!" Hornet calls out, but Enterprise is long gone. "Argh..." She grunted. "She's so..."

"Hornet..." Yorktown assures her, as she settles down. "Enterprise has changed a lot... If only I haven't been involved-"

"Sis. Stop." Hornet firmly responded. Yorktown stopped, realizing her words as she sighed. "We shouldn't put ourselves in blame. And I know Sister knows it, she just... Having trouble revealing herself that's all..."

"...Hornet." Yorktown slowly smiles. "You surely are spiritually strong compared to us. Throughout this war."

"Heh..." Hornet weakly chuckled. "Guess the Commander from before rubbed on me in a way to maintain it."

"Ah, back when Commander did those odd antics of making such a mess in his office..." Yorktown remarked as the two giggled over the thoughts of it. Then a moment later, Yorktown calls out, "Hornet?" She asked.

"Hm?" Hornet responded.

"Please, take care of Enterprise, and make sure you do that not only for her, but for yourself." Yorktown assured her. "Promise?"

Hornet then smiles, "Promise." She nodded.

It is night time, repairs still occur on the docks, occupied by other girls and the yellow chicks. A group with the missing exception of Reno is waiting for the Commander to come... Wondering what is taking him a while?

"Commander..." Laffey pointed the direction of whose coming is none other than Xavier with Reno. But something about him perked their interests.

"Commander..." Javelin calls out, pointing something on his hand. "What is that?" She asked, revealing what she pointed to as some mechanical glove.

"This is something Reno and I been quickly working on." Xavier answered, showing his gauntlet. Then the plating shifts revealing a flashlight inside. "A prototype from my blueprints." He demonstrated.

"It's another great honor to be working with you Commander." Reno quickly bowed with slight excitement.

"Grated." He replied, though with a neutral tone. "Are we ready to go?" He asked. They nodded back, "Those who know where the islands are will lead." He stated.

Time passed at the ocean, ships sailed through the waters thoroughly as the wind breezes that dragged the sea salt scent. Xavier stood on top of the Enterprise vessel, with Javelin, Laffey, Hornet, Belfast, and Reno besides on guard. Enterprise herself is on the front observing, glancing at both sides accompanied by other vessels.

Javelin and Laffey are together close by, they are pondering to each other about the mission itself. Despite the fact that they volunteered, they both have worries. Hornet notices that she came to them, surprising them.

"Eh! Hornet!" Javelin exclaimed.

"It's okay..." Hornet assured her. "How are you feeling about this?" She asked.

"...Scared." Javelin admitted.

"Should be tired, but not sleepy..." Laffey muttered, despite her tiredness.

"Yeah, I get that." Hornet weakly chuckled. "About Ayanami and Nimi..." She recalled.

"Surely, Commander will try and save this, right?" Javelin wondered. "We are looking for clues, not just... Hurting each other?"

"..." Hornet isn't sure to say. She remains silent, which makes Javelin worried a bit.

"I may speak out for you all." Belfast comes into the discussion. "Master is simply on his duty, to get this war done together all as one." She stated.

"Really?" Javelin feels relieved.

"However, I don't see the 'care' when the Master does his duty." Belfast replied.

This leads others confused, Hornet speaks out, "Like he doesn't care about it?" She asked, getting the feeling of Commander might not be kind.

"At least on surface level..." Belfast stated. "He is troubled, clearly something hiding within him, like a certain Grey Ghost." She reminded Hornet.

To which Hornet realized, "Oh, yeah... They are kinda similar..." She glanced at seeing her sister and Commander both with neutral expressions, not much difference besides appearance. "Knowing my sister, Commander must've been through some loss... And won't be able to share so easily."

"So... What can we do?" Javelin wondered with worry.

Rest assure little one." Belfast settled her, "For now, we must continue the mission..." She said, gazing at Xavier and Enterprise. Then she looks at others, notably Prince Of Wales who seemed more determined than ever, she is worried by her...

Javelin sighed, sad by the fact there's nothing they can do... Laffey then tugs at her, "We can do this." She muttered. She smiled back at her, she is glad to have her as a friend, she just hopes to speak with Ayanami and Nimi... Then she looks at Hornet, Commander, Enterprise...

Meanwhile, Enterprise is staring at the front view of the night sea, just then she gets contacted by Rossiya who's at the front. "Everyone, we've arrived at the Islands..." She calls out. Not just her, everyone got the call, as they look to see a bunch of normal looking islands together, but they know that these are not normal islands...

Hornet goes up to Xavier, "Alright, so we are just setting up a defense line around the islands or..." She assumed.

"No." Xavier stated. "The Red Axis would know we'd be making our move despite the warning. We must be aware when entering upon the islands." He explained.

"So, it's gonna be a trap... Great." Hornet sighed. "But still, we need answers, right?" She asked, Xavier nodded back.

"Indeed." He said, "We must all go, and stick together, once we acquire even a single piece of remaining technology, it'll be enough to learn about Axis' technology enhancements." Then he raised his arm a bit, showing his gauntlet transformed into a flashlight form.

"Oh! I can't wait to see this in action!" Reno gleamed at Xavier's gauntlet. This gained a bit of awkwardness for others, which she realized. "Oh, sorry..." She mumbled.

They now go closer to the island's harbor...

Within one of the islands, they arrived at the harbor which is near the middle of the group of islands. Due to no electricity, no power, everything looks empty and states the obvious, abandoned. The small squad of Azur Lane walks past the large empty metal shipping crates. All of them have their riggings due to the fact they won't have their vessels shown outside the island.

Xavier is within the middle of the squad, he is being guided by others. Due to Kansen's physiology they can see the dark a bit better than him. He's not using the flashlight mode on his gauntlet, yet.

Sheffield in the lead, takes a peek as the group are hiding behind her and a massive shipping crate. She makes a hand gesture which means it is clear. They make their move out, swiftly and quietly as they can, no matter how empty the environment is.

Another hiding once again, Sheffield takes a look, seeing something... A massive door, she gestured and pointed it out. Nods confirmed, they moved out towards the massive blocked entrance. Once reached, they saw the massive doors, Belfast placed her hand on it, feeling the metallic surface.

Javelin sees this and softly whispers out, "How do we get in?" She asked quietly.

"I even wonder how the Red Axis manages to get in?" Denver quietly exclaimed. They agree upon that, then that must've been the doors that hadn't been accessed then.

"Perhaps we must strike it down..." Sirius raised her sword.

"Too much sound..." Cleveland replied.

"Ahem..." Xavier softly clears his throat. He goes to the panel console near the door. The technology itself looks very advanced, they really committed this Siren tech, those terrorists... He uses his gauntlet fingers to tap on the screen, as it glows red.

Beeps occur from the screen, just that, red lines slowly glows like water flowing through the small empty rivers. The girls witness these massive doors are now fully glowed with lines around, revealing the dark metal color of these doors.

"Commander, I'm sure that'll gain attention..." Rossiya remarked.

"Not my choice, it's their design..." Xavier annoyingly said, due to the fact these terrorists like to reveal their thematic designs of the Sirens despite this being a secret base.

"Gosh, I forgot how egotistic these guys are..." Columbia muttered, in distaste due to how awful these guys are.

"..." Xavier glares hard when accessing the panel, the screen emits a holographic layout which he seems to be decoding. "...It seems, this will take a while..." He whispered quietly. "I recommend you to keep guard until I access the lock..." He advised.

Minutes passed, but to them it felt like hours. Xavier continues decoding the panel, Baltimore and Reno is near as a guard for him.

"You know how to go through this?" Baltimore questioned, while admittedly amazed.

"Yes, as Reno has seen my blueprints, I have the skills to make it as well as going through this." Xavier replied, not even removing his eyes off.

"Yeah, he's such a techno genius." Reno smiled.

"Wow... You're pretty cool, Commander..." Baltimore remarked.

"Thanks... Now I would require actual silence." Xavier replied firmly, which she understood and stopped talking. She goes back to others who are sitting around while in the dark, there's no campfire so it feels eerie and uncomfortable.

"He sounds so... Seriously." North Carolina overheard the whispers between Baltimore and Xavier as the same cruiser sat next to her.

"Eh, he was busy accessing the panel." Baltimore shrugged. "Usually our previous Commander comes to us to do the learning, due to his selflessness."

"Yeah... It sure feels so different..." North Carolina murmured as she sighs sadly.

"Yeah, I'd say he's grudgingly willing to do this." Washington whispered.

"He's not that bad..." Javelin speaks, gaining the attention of the girls. "I mean, we know about him right?" She wondered.

"Well, we know he is exiled from the navy..." North Carolina listed out.

"Is good with tech..." Baltimore mentioned.

"And that's about it." Washington added. "Unless they hide the rest or go missing."

Cleveland overheard the conversation, joined by others, "What about the exile? Did they explain it?" She mentioned.

"..." Silence occurs for the girls, they learned now the reason for exile is unknown... Unless Xavier is willing to share... But judging his personality... Nope.

"Maybe the Commander has lost someone..." Laffey muttered, Hornet, Belfast, and Javelin reacted a bit differently than others. "...Like Enterprise..." She added, causing Hornet to wince, which Enterprise turned by her name drop.

"What do you say, Laffey?" Enterprise responded to her.

"You are different after... Loss..." Laffey's sad tone hinted when saying 'Loss'. "Commander... Must've lost..." She continued until...

"Laffey!" Javelin hushed her, Laffey must've felt a bit depressed when hearing the talk from before. It's not just Javelin...

Enterprise glared at Laffey, then looking away, "I am not like the Commander, I have no idea what you're saying." She stated. "You would not speak like that."

"...Sister..." Hornet sighed, as everyone was looking a bit worried by Enterprise's response.

Belfast stares, the talk... Sounds just like him, how ironic. Before she could respond, a quick beep gained everyone's attention. Xavier has unlocked the code!

The doors hissed, then slides opened slowly. Xaveir stepped back due to the huge scale of the entrance. There are certain gasps due to witnessing this for the first time. Sheffield then walks forward, checking the ground... She rubbed her fingers on the floor, which was very smooth and cold due to the metal surface.

"Very dusty..." Sheffield remarked.

"Which means, no one is really there..." Kriov stated. "This could be a great advantage..."

"At ease..." Rossiya assured her. "We must be careful..." Then, everyone enters the dark pitch cave base...

Inside the dark cave, Xavier finally used his gauntlet flashlight. It shines brightly, lighting up the room with ease. Everyone else looked around, they noticed the looks of the insides... It's a laboratory... But it confuses them, why of all places it's secured... It's just another typical laboratory, something they've seen a lot in other areas in this base...

The group at the back are walking by. Montpelier, being at the back with her sisters, suddenly hears a sound behind, she turns around, sees nothing... Must be something... Then she noticed her sisters still going while she waited, she joined up with them...

Not knowing that a large thing hidden within the dark shadows is crawling up the wall quietly,...

They look around the lab, nothing that gains their interest. It's empty, "It seems the resources have already moved away..." Rossiya said.

"Great. So all that for nothing?" Washington grunted by how long they waited to open.

"Don't feel bad, comrade. We must keep looking!" Gangut stated. They look around furthermore,

Xavier is looking around, there he is at the end of the room... He sees it, a metallic technology-looking box. Everyone saw it and hurryingly arrived there.

Rossiya joins in and sees it. "This isn't removed?" She wondered.

"Well, at least it's there..." Hornet shrugged. "Let's open it." She goes there and sees a button on the box. Pressed it. Nothing happens. "Eh..." She is confused by this.

So Xavier comes in, and he presses the button. Nothing again, so Xavier used his gauntlet to scan the button. It glowed blue as lines glowed around the box once the gauntlet made contact. For a while... It then opens up, panels slide down, a lid transforms... Showing a glowing white Cube? Much to their confusion...

"A... Another Wisdom Cube?" Cleveland perked up.

"It's not blue, but pure white?" North Carolina curiously noted.

"Whatever the case, we got what we needed." Xavier said, taking the Cube with his gauntlet. "...It seems they are here." He stated as he stared at something. Then everyone turned to see someone who's at the entrance. Kaga herself stood there, along with Zuikaku and Shoukaku. Just that, immediately they ready themselves with their rigging weapons out.

"You are surrounded." Kaga announced, revealing other forces waiting outside. Then she glares at Xavier, "It seems you haven't listened to the warning through your dense skull." She seethed. "Are you willing to lose your ships?" She questioned him.

"His choice isn't the only one." Wales spoke for the first time since her vocal absence. She glares at Kaga, "Your actions heavily impacted the Azur Lane, now we will stop this war, with, or without you!" She pointed her sword.

"...You face the enemy without gaining new strength, such foolishness." Kaga shook her head, grunted. "Our dedication is for Shikikan, yet for you, Azur Lane... How long will your dedication last with him?" She questioned Xavier's position. "I've seen this human look, the old times where they treated us as mere tools. What makes you think he actually cares for you all?"

Xavier hears Kaga's words, does he care for them? So that's what Belfast meant... He looked at the girls as they glanced at him, waiting for his response as much as they hoped he would answer... "..." Silence is all that remains. Hornet, Javelin, Laffey, and Belfast have mental thoughts about this, knowing this isn't the whole story...

Kaga sighed, "It seems that's the case... Following orders without a purpose." She stated, letting a few glares by Hornet, Javelin, Laffey, and Belfast. "Hand over the Wisdom Cube you are carrying, and you won't get a second warning..." She demanded and warned the Second Commander.

"That won't happen." Xavier spoke up, looking irritated by Kaga's words already.

"You won't get a saying... Orochi." Kaga commanded, suddenly something landed behind her... A massive tall humanoid figure, taller than her, then twice as tall when it fully stood up. Covered in dark metallic armor plated with extra metals and small spikes, the red line glows like trails all over its body. The head of the being, has crowned spikes on its head, a single visor and mask shows. Its clawed fists clenched, to which the mask splits into two, sliding opening reveal its red glowing mouth while snarling its black metal teeth. Kaga then speaks two words of her next command... "Kill them."

The being none other as Orochi snarls before letting out a roar, screeching which echoes the entire lab cave inside... The fight... Is about to begin...
