"Nope, nope, nope. I am SOOO not still wearing this."

Chloe and Sabrina were looking at the "costume" Miles was having her wear. Although it would be an insult to call it a costume.

It was literally just a ski mask, a jacket, and some jeans. That is not a costume. That is an atrocity.

"But I can't wear that costume Parker or Miles wears." Chloe started to think. "What do I do?"

"You could base it off an existing spider." Sabrina pulled out her laptop and brought up pictures of various spiders, much to Chloe's disgust. "Tarantulas, widows, banana spiders-"

"Stop!" Chloe exclaimed. "What kind of spider is that?" She pointed to a specific banana spider.

"Uhh, the Golden Silk Orb Weaver." Sabrina said.

"That's the spider that bit me." Chloe said. And Chloe had to admit, while it was ugly as all sin, it had some good colors.

Chloe looked at Sabrina. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Chloe walked out of her room to head to the store. She had an amazing idea for her spider suit, but she needed a few more materials if she wanted to make it.

She got in an elevator, but when she reached the ground floor, she only took a few steps before bumping into Adrien.

"Hey Chloe!" Then Adrien noticed something.

Chloe had never been this tall. Before, Adrien was always a few inches taller. Now they could see eye-to-eye. Literally.

"Hi Adrien. What are you doing?" Chloe asked.

"You called me earlier. Sorry, I couldn't answer. Modeling gig. What do you need?" Adrien asked.

Miles' words from earlier rang out in Chloe's head. He did say to only tell those she trusted those she trusted with her life.

Ehh, it wouldn't do any harm if she told Adrien later, would it?

"Just grabbing something for a pet project." Chloe said.

"Do you need any help with this 'pet project?'" Adrien asked, to which Chloe responded by shaking her head suspiciously quick.

"Nope, perfectly fine by myself! See you later!" Chloe ran out of the hotel.

After that, Adrien walked into the men's bathroom, took a stall, and opened his jacket to let Plagg fly out.

"See, her height changed! And her behavior's more suspicious! If that doesn't scream 'Spider-Woman,' I don't know what does!" Adrien said.

"Then why didn't you say something?" Plagg asked.

"Are you crazy? I'm not going to reveal a secret identity! It'll put her in danger!" Adrien said.

"...Ok, for the thousandth time. Are you 100% sure the superhero in the sunglasses was Chloe?" Plagg asked, worried about Adrien's sanity.

"Plutôt sûr." Adrien said, causing the Kwami to bury his face in his palms.

BZZT

CLANG

The sound of flying sparks and clanging metal filled the air.

It was the perfect idea.

Tristan was rereading Spider-Man vs. Shocker when it came to him.

Shocker's iconic gauntlets were first built...

...In a prison workshop!

Meaning that Tristan could easily recreate them!

It wasn't easy to convince the guard to let him go to the worshop, but once he did, he got to work.

Granted, they were slightly shoddy, but they looked functional.

Once he made sure no one else was in the workshop, he put on one of the gauntlets, aimed at a bucket, activated the thumb trigger, and...

BZZ-FOOOOM

The bucket was reduced to pieces of plastic.

Oh yeah. This will do nicely.

Look out, Paris, your new crime boss has come to town!

Time for you to face...

THE SHOCKER!

Chloe ran back into her room where Sabrina was waiting for her. She threw a red and blue Spider-Man costume and fabrics of various colors onto her bed.

"So..." Chloe grabbed a pair of scissors. "Shall we get started?"

"So, how do I look?"

Chloe's suit was equal parts black and yellow, somewhat reminiscent of a bee. The mask had two holes. One to keep her hair from being smothered, allowing it to be exposed, the other to show her nose and mouth. And her white spider emblem on the front of the suit covered most of her torso, looping around her shoulders and hips to connect to the spider emblem on the back.

"Woah. It looks amazing." Sabrina said.

"I was trying to combine Spider-Man with Ladybug with it. And while that spider was good for nothing besides the bite, it has good colors for a spider suit!" Chloe said.

Just then, the TV turned on, blaring like an alarm.

"Just mere moments ago, the Prisión de La Santé experienced a prison break. Multiple inmates are attempting to escape into the city as we speak."

Chloe and Sabrina exchanged a look.

"That's not good..."

"That's not good..."

Adrien stared at the TV. He was working on his homework when the alarm came on.

He heard a sigh coming from Plagg. "No rest for the wicked, huh?"

"Nope." Adrien replied. Homework could wait. The city couldn't.

"Plagg, claws out!"

With that, Chat Noir jumped out the window and ran to the Prisión de La Santé.

Chloe opened the door to her balcony. This is exactly the type of things superheroes like her deal with. Then she started using her web-shooters to build two web-lines attached to the railing and began to step back.

"What are you doing?" Sabrina asked.

"Just want to test something." Chloe took a few more steps back. "If daddy asks, tell him I'm at the mall."

Chloe let go of her impromptu slingshot...

...and went flying.

"WOOOOOOHOO!"

And she thought regular web-swinging was fun!

Okay, Prisión de La Santé.

Chloe started to swing to the prison when she noticed something super out of place.

Some guy in a mask was somehow bounding around Paris.

He was wearing weird gauntlets and a weird yellow ski mask.

But that yellow sweatshirt could be recognized by anyone anywhere.

Tristan Boucher.

He must've been behind the prison break!

Chloe readjusted her course and started chasing after Boucher.

Tristan laughed triumphantly. It went off without a single hitch! He managed to get out of the prison in record time! And he knew both the police and superheroes would be too busy trying to catch the other prisoners to spare anyone to chase him.

Now, he was home free! What should he do with his new freedom? Oh, go ahead and pay that Bourgeois girl a visit! After all, he still owed her for ruining his ha-

Thwip

Before Tristan had a chance to react, he was suddenly pulled back by something sticky, before he was kicked in the back by someone.

Tristan went crashing and rolling to terra firma. And then he saw the person behind it.

Some blond girl in some weird Spider-Woman costume. Great, just great! He explicitly goes out of his way to avoid all superheroes, and yet a superhero finds him anyway. Just his luck.

"Who are you?" Tristan asked.

"I'm-" the Spider-Woman started, only to pause. "What's the name of that spider again?" Chloe whispered to herself. "Golden Weaver! I'm Golden Weaver! And you are?"

"Just call me-"

Tristan raised his gauntlets and aimed at the girl.

"THE SHOCKER!"

FOOOOM

One blast and the area that weirdo in the spider costume was standing in was rubble. Heh, easy.

"Why the Shocker?"

Shocker looked up to the left perplexed and saw Weaver somehow standing on a wall completely perpendicular.

"You don't even use electricity. It seems odd, don't ya think?"

"Oh, a wise-cracker, aren't ya? Well then, joke your way outta this one!" Shocker blasted again, and again she dodged.

Ok, this was starting to get annoying.

Next thing he knew, his feet were somehow stuck to the concrete he stood on. And a blow to the head from Weaver.

"Why you little b-"

Tristan couldn't even finish his sentence before Golden Weaver webbed his arms to his chest.

"Language, there are children present!" She quipped.

Weaver attached a web to Shocker's feet before attaching the same web to a lampost, leaving Shocker hanging upside down.

"Consider that your time out for fowl language." Weaver said.

Booooo...

Weaver felt her spider-sense began to tingle. And Miles wasn't around, so that only meant one thing: danger.

Shocker broke one arm free with his gauntlets, before freeing the other. Then he used the gauntlets to break the web line holding him upside down and slamed onto the ground with a large amount of intensity, sending Weaver flying back.

"Ow..." Weaver said.

She barely had a few seconds to reorient herself before she saw Shocker postioning him arms behind himself.

FOOOOM

Shocker used a blast to charge towards the superheroine. Luckily, spider-sense allowed Weaver to dodge at the last second. Meaning Shocker just smacked into a wall for nothing.

At this point, Shocker's mask was dislodged, revealing the angry face of Tristan Boucher.

"I'm gonna liquefy you, freakshow." Tristan said, malice apparent in his tone.

Weaver merely held her hand out and did the "come get some" gesture.

Tristan put his hands behind his back again and blasted forward again. And Weaver dodged again.

This time, Tristan spun around at the last second, blasting Weaver square in the chest.

Thankfully it wasn't with enough force to do serious damage, but it still knocked the wind outta her and left her laying on the floor for a few seconds.

And a few seconds was all Tristan needed.

He launched himself into the air, before slamming down on Weaver. He put his foot on Weaver while aiming his gauntlet to her head.

"Once I get rid of you, I'll get rid of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Then Paris will have no choice than to bow down to its criminal kingpin! THE SHO-"

SH-CRACK

In a struggle, Weaver tried to remove Tristan's foot from her chest. But something unexpected happened.

Something small, brown, and sharp, kinda like a bone claw, shot out the underside of Weaver's left wrist, through her costume, through her web-shooter...

...and into Tristan's leg.

"Woah..." Tristan lost his balance, his right leg becoming limp. He fell to the floor. "I can't feel my leg. THE HELL DID YOU DO-"

Weaver has had enough.

In one swift motion, she lunged towards Tristan, grabbed the gauntlets, ripped them off his arms, and crushed them.

Weaver looked at her wrist, where the spike or claw came from, noticing that it now disappeared. She was pretty sure Spider-Man couldn't do that.

She was almost too deep in her own thoughts she didn't notice Tristan attempting to crawl away.

Almost.

She walked over to Tristan, who has crawled a great 3 feet, and made a single "ahem."

Tristan looked up to Weaver's white eyes. "Uh-oh."

Chat Noir chucked the last of the prisoners into his cell. It had taken them slightly longer to quell the riot than expected, but they got the job done.

Ladybug and Chat Noir fist-bumped. "Pound it."

Just then, Lieutentant Raaincomprix drove in. He got out his car to talk to the two superheroes. "Ladybug. Chat Noir."

"Hello officer." Ladybug greeted the man. "Is this about Boucher? From what we heard, he was the only inmate to actually get out the prison. If so, I promise you that we will find him-"

"That's the thing. We already found him." Officer Raincomprix said.

"Really? Where?" Chat Noir asked.

"...Hanging upside-down from a lamppost."

Both Ladybug and Chat Noir were so confused that they just stood there silent for a few seconds before simetanously letting out one word in pure confusion.

"What?"

"It's better seen that explained."

"When I find that Weaver chick again, imma kill her! Imma kick her with the leg she stabbed! Yeah, that's right, I can feel it again! Suck it losers! And when I find that Gold Whatever girl again, imma kick her to death with this leg!"

Ladybug and Chat Noir stared at the bizarre sight in front of them. Tristan was hanging upside-down, from a lamppost, in a cocoon made of some substance resembling the web of a spider.

"Huh, it is better seen than explained." Chat Noir joked.

"Wait..." Ladybug noticed a note stuck to Tristan. She grabbed it, and what it read was a bit odd.

You missed one. Don't worry though, I got him.

~ Golden Weaver

Ladybug raised a eyebrow. Who was Golden Weaver?

Once Chloe got back to her room, she took off her mask and plopped herself onto her bed.

"Hey Chloe." Sabrina greeted her friend. Then she noticed the banged-up condition of her costume. "Are you okay?"

"Does Spider-Man have knives in his wrists?" Chloe asked.

"What?" Sabrina was confused.

"When I was fighting Boucher, or "Shocker" as he called himself, some weird bone blade shot out my wrist. It tore a hole in my costume, ruined my left web-shooter, and stabbed in the leg!" Chloe gestured wildly as she spoke, causing the claw to launch out her wrist again before retracting again. "See!"

Chloe sighed. At this point, she needed to unwind before she used her newfound super-strength to throw a person. So she turned on the televison. And the first channel was non other than the news where Chloe's father was speaking to a horde of reporters.

"Ladybug and Chat Noir once again showed how lucky the city of Paris is to have them as our protectors. Without them, criminals would be flooding the streets." Mayor Bourgeois said.

"Sir, what do you have to say about the new superhero by the name of Golden Weaver?" One reporter said.

"Superhero? Golden Weaver is an irresponible vigilante! She should let our real superheroes protect our city! Did you see what her battle with the Shocker alone did?" Mayor Bourgeois said.

Chloe's eye twitched. Her own father. Lambasted us as an vigilante on television.

She layed down on the couch and buried her face in a pillow. This superhero thing was going to be harder than she thought.
