DISCLAIMER: I do not own JoJo's bizarre adventure or Rising of the shield hero
Dio, the most ambitious man in his world's history, is currently sitting peacefully under a large tree at the middle of night, looking at Melromarc, the place he swore to...conquer?
"What do I want," Dio pondered on the motive behind his actions, asking no one in particular. Soon after, however, a being brings forth an answer.
"Perhaps, you wish to change the world, to rise it up to new heights, and guide it beyond the stars. And, this might not help much, but how about you not sit under a tree and ponder existence, rather actually go and learn more about this world!"
"Hm. Perhaps," Dio answered distantly, standing up and heading towards Melromarc.
In the streets of Melromarc
Dio moved through the streets like a phantom, completely untrackable. He moved so quickly that one would only see his shadow. Suddenly he heard a strange noise behind him. It sounded like chuckling. It appeared to be coming from a corner behind him.
"Who goes there?!" Dio commanded with authority. The stalker revealed himself. It was a short man dressed in a suit and top hat.
"I'm assuming you are the infamous Dio, the most ambitious man alive," The man complimented as he bowed slightly.
Dio unconsciously smiled at that, "And you are?"
The man grinned, "An intrigued businessman."
Dio immediately read the situation and sternly replied, "Show me."
A shady tent
Dio and the odd fellow arrived at an odd place filled with silent cages.
"I presume these are where you keep the demihumans and beastmen," Dio guessed just by the atmosphere.
"Well, yes, but they are usually a bit more noisy. But do not worry, we only have the best in stock."
"What makes you think I'd want a slave," Dio asked, offended.
"Listen, Sir Dio, you seem like a man that knows what he wants and will do anything to obtain it, I can see it in your eyes. Trust me, I've seen many types of people, and people like you are the type that rule the world," The man spoke with understanding, he clearly was experienced in reading people, a great skill in business.
"I could use someone like you, and trust me, you could surely benefit from having an ally such as myself," Dio grinned as he flexed a bit of his stand energy, guaranteed to leave an impression.
"I'm looking forward to it, partner. And by the way, the name is Beloukas."
The two stood there for a moment when a noise could be heard from one of the cages.
"What was that?" Dio wondered.
"A very concerning sound," Beloukas calmly discerned.
Dio walked in the direction of the noise, which led to a large cage. As he inched closer he felt tense and on guard. Once he reached it he slowly reached out and uncovered the cloth covering the cage. To his disappointment, it was just a relaxed orangutan, reading a book about ships at sea.
"Beloukas, tell me, do you also keep simple animals, like an orangutan?" Dio inquired.
"No, actually, why?" Beloukas curiously answered.
"Hmm," Dio looked at the creature with suspicion, analyzing the surrounding area until his eyes noticed a bit of brown raccoon hair on it's fingers. Something clicked in Dio's mind and he asked,
"Do you have a raccoon demihuman?"
"Yes, a little girl."
Dio immediately jumped back next to Beloukas.
"Something is wrong, very wrong," Dio called forth THE WORLD and began uncovering the other cages, revealing dead demihumans and beastmen, all missing their tongues. All except one, the cage of a young demihuman girl, her hair matching the hair on the orangutan, she was unconscious with slight bruises. Dio understood and ordered THE WORLD to attack the orangutan, but then...
"Lord Dio, how the mighty have fallen, it's been a while!" A voice came from behind Dio, and he quickly turned to see a large dragonfly coming out of one of the dead demihuman's mouth.
"Like my new look, it's a perfect evolution from my old stand, TOWER OF GRAY, I call it CASTLE OF BLACK!"
"Am I supposed to know you?" Dio deadpanned.
"You bastard, I died because of you!"
"Perhaps you deserved it, you did just kill innocent people," Dio spoke calmly, but his anger from the senseless violence could be felt by anyone with half a brain.
"You piece of shit, you won't be feeling so tough once I show you what my new stand can do!"
The dragonfly quickly flew towards Dio, moving so fast Dio could barely keep track of it as he attempted to swat it away with THE WORLD.
"His stand has incredible speed, it might even be faster than THE WORLD. And it's extremely small as well." Dio thought as he struggled to squash such a pesky bug.
Beloukas stood confused as he could only make out faint images moving at extreme speed, even with his own vast experience with spiritual creatures, but remained silent with a wide grin, placing all his faith in Dio. After merely ten seconds, CASTLE OF BLACK evaded THE WORLD and using it's teeth, it slashed THE WORLD's palm, hurting Dio as well.
"See, my speed's been upgraded in exchange for my ranged attacks," CASTLE OF BLACK boasted.
"He is right, I might need to use timestop, but no I'd like to test something." Dio contemplated before focusing his eyes on the dragonfly's. Dio then manipulated the rays of light reflected by his eyes to send specific signals in order to hypnotize the stand. Unfortunately, this failed, and left Dio open to attack, and his wrist was slashed.
"You idiot, stop daydreaming!"
"Enough of this, THE WORLD!" Space-time itself warped as Dio spoke, completely under his command as it came to an abrupt stop, halting all except Dio and THE WORLD. Dio grinned, it had been some time since he visited his world and he now had two wonderful seconds in it.
"Time to die, you tiny bug!" Dio proclaimed, as THE WORLD was about to throw his first punch at the dragonfly's still form, but then another voice spoke.
"Lord Dio, you haven't even said hello, yet you wish to end the fight so soon." Dio turned his back, leaving THE WORLD in the same striking position in front of CASTLE OF BLACK. This time, it was the orangutan that spoke.
"How the bloody hell are you moving in my world!?" Dio shouted in frustration and anger.
"It's simple, look beneath you," The orangutan pointed at the floor. Which was now covered in blood. The blood seemed to be coming from the various cages THE WORLD uncovered. The blood created a puddle that Dio stood in center of. Dio also quickly saw that his wrist was bleeding, and the blood flowed smoothly onto the ground, adding to the growing pool of blood. Just then, Dio looked at the orangutan again and saw it was now dressed like a captain of a ship. Dio took what he knew about the nature of stands and guessed the orangutan's stand.
"It's a boat, isn't it, your friend was distracting me so you could shrink your stand and invade my body through the blood," Dio used his ingenious intellect and discerned the entire situation in mere moments. "And by technicality, your stand is part of my body allowing it to move in stopped time, and by extension, you." Dio stated.
"Yes, my new stand, POWER, is an evolution of STRENGTH, and is far more precise in exchange for its size. In my experience, you get treats when you guess something correctly, so here you go."
The 'treat' came in the form of an intense pain in Dio's back, that persisted until he dropped to the floor on his knees.
"My spine! You're destroying my spinal chord!" Dio shouted and immediately ordered THE WORLD to strike the orangutan, but it was so far away that it surpassed THE WORLD's effective range, greatly diminishing the stand's power. If things couldn't get any worse, time resumed its movement.
"Haha. It worked, you're fucked!" CASTLE OF BLACK celebrated and flew towards Dio to attack.
"Perhaps you are not aware what a vampire is." Dio then used his hands to suck up all the blood on the ground, like a plant absorbing water through its roots. However, instead of healing him, his body became weaker and his mind became hazy. CASTLE OF BLACK did not waste this opportunity as it struck THE WORLD's knees, staggering it.
"What's wrong. Are you feeling the effects of the mercury we added into the blood, or are you bowing in submission," The orangutan mocked.
"Mercury! They've planned this entire encounter!" Dio internally screamed as he was continuously bombarded by CASTLE OF BLACK, while POWER was making its way to Dio's brain. Dio was at his lowest point, feeling both weak and enraged, he truly believed this was the end, but just then, in the corner of his eye he saw the raccoon girl awake and attempt to escape, when the orangutan quickly grabbed her. In that same moment, he noticed CASTLE OF BLACK had briefly stopped attacking to gloat, leaving it open. Dio had a solid opportunity to strike CASTLE OF BLACK, but instead chose to order THE WORLD to pick up a rock and swiftly throw it into the orangutan's eye, allowing the girl to escape.
"Go, quickly." Dio missed his chance, getting slashed across his nape. Dio had no hope of surviving the situation, with timestop being useless, as all his limbs had failed due to POWER. He had thought he'd lost, until the raccoon girl before him, having slit her own wrist, offering the blood to Dio.
"Here." Dio did not waste time and quickly sucked the blood from her wrist, giving him enough strength to heal his wounds and go on a little longer. However, this left the girl in a lot of pain, to the point she began tearing up.
Dio then thought of a way to remove the poison and POWER quickly before they reached his brain.
"THE WORLD, I remember you said, as a vampire, I have full control over my body, correct?"
"Correct, every aspect of it."
Dio then looked towards the girl.
"You've given me an idea, young lady."
*NEW ABILITY UNLOCKED, LEVEL 35 HAS BEEN REACHED*
"SPACE RIPPER STINGY EYES!" Dio exclaimed as vampiric essence, along with POWER and the mercury, shot out through the slits in his eyes. The two streams of concentrated fluids closed the distance between Dio and the orangutan, cleanly slicing it in half, killing it instantly. CASTLE OF BLACK witnessed this and began to panic, rushing towards the girl. This was a predictable course and THE WORLD was able to clip its wings, causing it to fall to the ground.
"Lord Dio, please spare me!" The stand begged.
"If only your companion hadn't kept her alive, I would have survived otherwise, and your plan might have actually worked, but what can you expect from such a sick perverted creature."
"You fucking bastard!" CASTLE OF BLACK's voice shook as he cursed Dio.
"How useless." Without warning, CASTLE OF BLACK's body was crushed beneath Dio's boot, marking the end of its disgusting existence.
*CLAP CLAP CLAP*
Beloukas came out of his hiding place and clapped, congratulating Dio's victory.
"That was quite the show, I see what you meant."
Dio stood proudly over his victory, but knew there was still one more thing to be dealt with. Dio looked toward the little girl, the sole survivor of this massacre. He knelt down in front of her, giving her a warm smile.
"You saved me, even though you had the chance to save yourself, you decided to save a weak demihuman like me" She thanked in a quiet voice.
"I should be the one thanking you, without you, I'm not sure how I would have survived." The girl blushed slightly from such praise.
"Young lady, what is your name?" Dio asked politely.
"Raphtalia." The girl spoke meekly.
"Raphtalia, you are truly a bright child. You saw what I did with the blood and saved my life, despite the danger, and you don't deserve to be locked in a cage and sold away, demihuman or not."
Raphtalia suddenly burst into tears and hugged Dio.
"Thank you."
Dio returned the hug, comforting Raphtalia. Once the hug was over, Dio wiped the tears from her face.
"Now, let us leave his place."
