Chapter 6: Old Faces
Agent BM: Yes they do.
While Vanellope went off in another direction, Lucy went off towards one of her racers. Kevin, zooming around the internet on some kind of brown bike like vehicle, only it didn't have wheels, instead hovering, and it was fast.
Lucy rolled her eyes as she caught up to Kevin who had stopped.
"Man I can't believe I was missing something like this out here. Way cooler than that lame old motorbike I ride back home." said Kevin.
"Ahem."
Kevin turned to see Lucy staring at him with her arms crossed.
"Hey, Princess Lucy, wh...what's up?" He nervously asked.
"You disobeyed my orders. I told everyone to stay in the game." said Lucy.
"Come on no one got hurt. You gotta check this thing out, it's like a motorcycle but floats and is faster than our bikes." said Kevin.
"Where'd you get that thing anyway?" Lucy asked.
"Found it next to some game called Jedi, something, whatever that is. There was a guy in a cool white outfit sleeping, pretty sure he won't mind if I borrow it." said Kevin.
"You stole this bike?" Lucy asked.
"Oh so you can steal those earrings off a dead user but I can't borrow this cool bike?" Kevin asked.
"I didn't steal these earrings. She was dead and I simply decided they'd look better on me." said Lucy.
"I thought you were going to Slaughter Race with Vanellope." said Kevin.
"I did and I hated it. Vanellope's gone anyway, don't know where she went." said Lucy.
"Look I know you hate I'm here but I'm fine and so are the others. Forget I said that, it's just me out here." said Kevin.
"Others? Who else is out..."
"Face the empire's strength." The duo were interrupted by a man in all black armor and a helmet with red eye lenses. He also wore a black Pauldron with a strange red symbol that resembled a 6 spoked cog type wheel.
The man carried a staff with electricity flowing from the ends that he used to try and attack the two. Luckily the two had a lot of sugar in their bodies to help them dodge the attacks.
"Who's this guy? Did you mess with him too?" Lucy asked.
"I didn't hit anyone" Kevin argued.
"Maybe he's from the game I got this thing from."
"I am the emperor's will. Now die traitors."
The man banged his weapon near Lucy, nearly hitting her.
"I don't even know who you are." Lucy argued back.
"Fight me cowards, no one steals from the empire."
"I don't even know what this empire is either." said Lucy.
Kevin grabbed Lucy and threw her on the bike. He sped off and left the man in the dust.
"I will find you thieves and end you!" he shouted.
Kevin drove the bike a safe distance away before stopping.
"Well that was something." said Kevin.
"Return to sugar crunch run at once, I need to have a talk with everyone once everyone gets back." said Lucy.
"Come on Lucy, can't we just..."
"No! Not after almost getting hurt by the emperor's will, or whoever that guy was. We're just lucky he doesn't know what game we live in, hopefully." said Lucy.
Back with Vanellope, she had left the Internet and went back to Litwak's Arcade. She traveled through the cord, and ended up in the router. She made her way through, and then came to Game Central Station.
"Wow." Vanellope breathed as she looked around.
It was just like she remembered, and then she saw it. The entrance to Fix-It Felix Jr. She took a deep breath, and then went inside it. She got on the little train, and rode through the cord.
As she did, she thought of what she would say to Ralph. Would he be happy to see her? It had been a long time since they last saw each other. When the train stopped, Vanellope got off, and went to Ralph's house.
When she got to the door, she took a deep breath, and knocked. She waited a minute, and then the door opened to reveal Ralph. When he saw her, he looked surprised, and then smiled.
"Vanellope, kid you're here!" he cried.
He scooped her up in his arms, and spun her around.
"Hi, Stinkbrain. It's good to see you too." Vanellope replied, hugging him.
After he put her down, he let her into his house. They had a lot of catching up to do.
In Sugar Crunch Run, Lucy was talking with her racers.
"What were you guys thinking? I told you to wait til I returned to leave. It's dangerous out there." Lucy told them.
"No it wasn't we were fine." said Tootie.
"Have you see Kevin's new death trap ride of a bike here? Yes it's fast but it's a crash waiting to happen. We're much safer on our own bikes."
"So we can't have things of our own because of that?" asked Freezee.
"Just because you can't have some dumb necklace or bag we can't have nice things, is that it?" Kevin piped up.
"Um, well I'm still the princess and I need to keep you safe." Lucy quickly said.
"We were safe Lucy. We can look after ourselves for a little while." Stretch defended.
"I'm still in charge, when I say something I expect you all to listen. Doesn't that, doesn't that mean anything to you guys anymore?"
"Of course it does. But not everything is so black and white." mentioned Pi.
"What the heck does that mean?"
"It means we have to have the freedom to make our own decisions."
"Well since you all feel this way and don't want to listen to your ruler who's keeping you safe, then you all enjoy your trip out there. But when you get in trouble, don't expect me to bail you out. I'm going home and taking a bath, I need to forget that clown."
And with that, Lucy left them and went to her castle.
In Fix-it Felix Jr, Vanellope had explained to Ralph how life had been treating her.
"So how have things been here?" she asked him.
"Oh pretty much the same. Still wrecking the building, Felix is still fixing it, and things have been great." Ralph explained.
Vanellope then looked a bit awkward.
"What about the...other racers?"
"They're still around. Felix and Calhoun are still their parents and they visit often."
"I wanted to see them next. But...what if they don't want to see me?"
"Kid, don't worry. I'm sure they'll be happy to see you." Ralph comforted.
But Vanellope still looked unsure.
"Come on, I'll go with you."
He held out his large hand to her, and Vanellope took it.
