On July 21, the world of music lost a legendary singer. Tony Bennett passed away at age 96.
Whenever Cedric wanted to experiment with his flying machine in either Cedric Be Good or The Amulet of Avalor, he always sang one of his father's favorite songs to himself. He remembered how Goodwyn would dance with Winifred when they practiced spells or put on performances for the royal family, and this song was one of their favorites. Sofia would even sometimes catch him singing this to himself as she came up to spend time with him, and she'd sing it with him. Tony Bennett's music is not mine, and on a more serious note, rest in peace Tony Bennett.
Cedric (as he works on a potion): Poets often use many words
To say a simple thing
It takes thought and time and rhyme
To make a poem sing
Sofia (softly joining in as she helps him and recalls her first flight on Minimus): With music and words I've been playing
For you I've written a song
To make sure you know what I'm saying
I'll translate as I go along
Cedric (getting caught up in his fantasy): Fly me to the moon
And let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
In other words
Hold my hand
In other words
Darling, kiss me
Sofia (as they start dancing around the workshop) Fill my heart with song
And let me sing forevermore
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
Cedric and Sofia: In other words
Please be true
In other words
I love you
