Ilrune let his foot dangle from the branch he was sitting on and leaned against the tree trunk. "Ahhh, nothing better than enjoying the labours of taking first place in a training race..." The rustling leaves hid his golden green Council armour all too well. And with his nature connection, he countered the kids' attempts to find his magic presence. After all voice of nature could be used both ways. He didn't even need to put in a lot of effort. He already had watched several groups walk right past him. They were chatting, nagging and some were truly trying and yet failing gloriously, especially the Fairies. Yet as expected the human children were mostly slacking off on a Monday morning. Well, he was too though he had earned it as a reward. And what a good one it was today helping out Palladium with such an easy task. He currently twirled his golden hair between his fingers as he enjoyed the peaceful scenery. 'Maybe I should do some meditation…but then I give off a bigger presence…hmmm…' He wasn't sure Dealeth, Keyrth and Tolith after all had another bet running who would be found by the kidis the least. Of course, they all could make it impossible so they had agreed on a certain amount of magic to put into the spell to merge with nature. Not to mention the Professor would have their heads if they would demoralise the kids too much.
"For crying out loud… find one already…." Gilliana moaned flicking her scarf for the fiftieth time.
Sienna blocked it before it smashed back into her face, "Well, if you would SHUT UP, I might be able to concentrate," she hissed a bit annoyed. They had four hours, one already had passed and they had not seen or heard any of those four elves.
"Hey, hey, calm down you two. I don't want to be the group with casualties…" Keith sighed this was ridiculous. 'How can girls bitch around so much…'
"Tch. You're the healer you know. Your group should have none at all no matter what happens in this stupid class," Gilliana grabbed a branch and drew it back just to let it snap and startle a bunch of birds that quickly took flight and made Sienna shutter.
"HEY! Can you stop that!? I'm trying to use magic to pick up on soundwaves of their stupid armour," Sienna had it.
"Girls…" Keith went in between, "Come on, we're a team. We got to work together…" Another useless attempt to forge peace between the two.
Gilliana huffed amused, "You wouldn't even find a boar with that weak ass spell." She grinned a fight would be much more fun and fruitful for their training.
Sienna balled her fists. Her mint green ponytail flicked as she energetically turned around, "At least I TRY! Mis too useless to bother trying anything."
"Oh, you'll take that back," Gilliana's blue eyes narrowed aiming for her, "Or we'll have casualties."
Keith drew his lightning glaive a bit of crackling lightning along its shaft, "ENOUGH! Or I'll zap you both! For crying out loud, why did Blade have to ditch me today…"
"You? Us…" Sienna rolled her eyes. Indeed Blade was so much better working with Sorceresses. When she was in a team there weren't so many in-group fights. They all liked each other sure but their work philosophies clashed way too often.
"I would ditch you too if I could get a hot night with a guy," Gilliana snickered as she grinned sheepishly at Sienna and Keith. "Maybe you got to heal her from her steamy escapades of the night, Keith."
Keith flustered squeaked, "In your dreams! I'm a field medic. Besides, neither Blade nor Amal are the fast track kind… don't be ridiculous," He tried to get his composure back.
Sienna laughed so hard, "I bet you ten Maggi he pictured them both in bed."
"For sure," Gilliana laughed and wrapped an arm around her shoulder it was just hilarious to see Keith blush like that.
"DID NOT!" He protested heavily, "URRGH, you two are just… just!" He turned around and took the lead as he ruffled through his short black hair. "You two need to get a boyfriend of your own…seriously…" He hastly strode off into the undergrowth to escape the girls' retribution.
"HEY!"
Ilrune looked as their little healer hunt started. 'So distracted… I know they are young but seriously this is a problem.' Ilrune was considering using some vines to trip them up. But he didn't want to lose his bet with the others and there also was the report where he could write this down, spooking them wasn't part of this exercise and a bad grade would teach them way better. Still, when he heard a little magic explosion he just had to dash to the next tree to check. But all he found as he crouched down in the tree crown was a half-scared Keith who in return for being 'fired at' had zapped the two ladies making them all even, before all three of them fell into laughter.
"Let's find one of them and blast him sky high," Gilliana pushed her loose hair strand back and her two teammates nodded eagerly in agreement.
'Kids…' Ilrune sighed inwardly and dashed back to his original tree so fast it looked simply like it was an upsoar of a breeze.
Ilrune barely touched down on the branch as he got startled and drew his sword quicker when a bird's wingbeat abruptly stopped as he realised who had 'snuck up' on him.
Griselda raised an eyebrow as the energy sword tip halted before her throat. "Elves, always the dramatic ones…" With one finger she pushed the sword tip to the side unphased by the whole thing.
"My apologies Professor Griselda," Ilrune deactivated his paladin weapon and gave a slight bow. "How can I help you?" He came straight to business.
Griselda pushed her classes back as she cleared her throat, "Well, after all my attempts to contact our dear Blade, she still didn't call back or send any notice of illness or family matters. She hasn't turned on her bracelet since the update." She replied stoic as ever yet a pinch of annoyance swung within her words.
"She's missing?" Ilrune grew a bit more serious. "Have you contacted Red Fountain to-" He inquired directly but halted as Griselda raised her hand to stop him.
"Well," The old Fairy looked at her chartboard. "I let her cellphone get pinged and despite her not answering her phone… she's in Magix City outskirts… in…" She truly tried to calm her anger. "A bar… Hasn't left there since about two hours after she had left her hotel room. So, since Pandemonium class won't find you anytime soon and you're the quickest of your team. Kindly drag her back to my office for DETENTION." Her eyes flickered with something one could mistake for bloodlust.
"Alright, mam, it will be done," Ilrune nodded and received the paper note from the professor with the coordinates and already darted off through the tree crowns. A quick call to the others over their bracelets, "Hey, guys, I'm off picking up Blade. Change Formation around the lake to a triangle so the kids don't run through my quadrant with nothing to find."
"Picking her up?" Tolith asked a few seconds later over the intercom.
Keryth whispered shortly, "Understood." And promptly turned off the voice chat again.
Daeleth chuckled, "Seems like someone's in trouble." His voice was clear as day.
"Oh, she is, the blue imp asked for her to be dragged back to the office," Ilrune sighed deeply.
"Eh… I actually meant Keryth. Anyways, the way this exercise is going give us a call if you need help," Dealeth couldn't help himself and chuckled a bit more before he hung up with a joyful, "Good hunting."
In no time Ilrune without real effort was back in Magix City. He already landed on some rooftops dispersing his Caeli ala boot wings spell to slow down and get a better read of the surroundings, there was a chance after all if Blade spotted him this would turn into a very short cat-and-mouse game for which he had no patience.
"Now, let's see, where are you Blade?" Ilrune stood tall on one of the higher-up houses. His white golden helmet crest waved in the morning breeze and his green cape clashed with the greyish houses here in the industry district however as expected she wasn't outside. Ilrune hopped down from the rooftop feathering his fall slightly with magic. "Unbelievable what is she seventeen? And we got to drag her out of a bar on a Monday morning…truly that Fairy," he mumbled to himself as he walked up to the bar. Yet he halted as he sensed Black Magic coming from the dumpster at the house wall. Nothing big, actually small. He knew that kind of feeling all too well by now, "More infected critters great… Those Red Crystals truly are a menace." He walked on, first things first, he had to get Blade out of that bar and then dispose of whatever amount of Red Crystals had been thrown into the dumpster. It was such a pain these past weeks scouring through the city to find doves or whatever was corrupted. Nonetheless, for now, he aimed for the door of the bar a grim look on his face ready to spook the slacking-off Fairy.
With a creek, the old door opened. "Good morn…" The bartender started and promptly changed attitude as he spotted the golden-armoured grim-looking Council Guard, "Oh, come on! I paid taxes correctly this time around. Did Tristan put you up to this? I told him he first has to pay his tap, refusing to pour out drinks ain't against the law." The bartender promptly crossed his arms in front of his chest trying to look buff but one could see his leg twitching nervously in the Council Guard's presence.
Ilrune's gaze wandered through the room it was a typical half-run-down bar clean in general though. So in his experience, it was a beloved bar by many considering there still were a few people sleeping on the tables or counter and one sober guy enjoying just some lemonade only fortified that assumption. "I'm not here because of taxes. In fact, no Council Guard has anything to do with taxes unless we got to arrest someone who poses a considerable threat to the public otherwise it's the police knocking at your door." His eyes darted to the other doors one behind the counter probably for storage and one for the shared bathroom opposite to the entrance.
"So… how can I help you?" The bartender set down the glass he was cleaning on the wooden counter and followed Ilrune's gaze to the doors. He still was on edge.
"Nothing much, searching for a Fairy. Where is she? And don't bother hiding her. I'll find her either way and THEN I'll arrest you for helping a fugitive," Ilrune pinned the guy down. He was sweating buckets now.
"F-Fa-Fairy…" The bartender shook his head in irritation. "There was no Fairy here, heck, not even a girl, woman or grandma. I swear by the Great Dragon. You can check any room. My guys, here, can vow to that, right guys?" Most just gave a tired moan the one with the lemonade just shrugged. "Really?... Wait, why is a Fairy fleeing in the first place?..."
"School hours started too early for the Lady apparently. Are you sure you saw no one? Her phone was pinged here, should have been here for two hours, was called several times this past one," Ilrune inquired further already sighing inwardly so this would turn into a cat-and-mouse game after all, 'Great.' But he didn't detect anything suggesting that that guy was lying to him.
Now the bartender tilted his head utterly bewildered, "You guys hunt slackers? What are the worlds coming to… why do I even pay taxes!?" He threw his hands in the air. "Well, she wasn't here so search for her somewhere else and stop scaring my customers."
"You pay, so we can keep you safe and secure that the law is upheld," Ilrune rolled his eyes, "for example from things like the Black Magic in your dumpster." He turned around he felt no magic from either of the rooms just the Black Magic outside.
"Black magic?! Lucas just dumped some dead birds nothing else. We checked for those crystal things just as the Council advised. There were none visible, I swear." He watched Ilrune leave, "Hey, you gotta get rid of those! I pay taxes, Sir. SIR?"
"That's my job," Ilrune answered as he closed the door behind himself and pulled up Blade's phone number. 'Seriously… what is that girl doing two hours around a bar… if she found something suspicious she should have called for backup…' He was properly annoyed. Those kids had such a drive for justice it was commendable their attitude, on the other hand, was outright suicidal at times. "Voice of nature…" Ilrune closed his eyes shortly and directly picked up on the Black Magic in the dumpster again indeed it was small nothing to worry about Blade easily could take care of that. He called the cell phone and promptly heard the ringing from near the dumpster a flashing dim light against the wall of the bar. "Blade?" He called out. No answer. "Shit." He raced to pick up the phone as he made a call to the Division Hunters stationed at the Council Headuaters, "Eques Ilrune here, got a Black Magic incident with a possible casualty. Danger level… two. Send back up now."
"A Team will be there any second, Eques," The reply came promptly from a woman.
"Thanks," Ilrune picked up Blade's phone from the ground besides a scratch or two it was fine, all because of the protective spell on it. And the listed missed calls from Alfea but that wasn't Ilrune's concern right now. He rushed to open the dumpster and focused his nature spell to pick up on a trace of the missing Fairy.
Ilrune was greeted by a bunch of trash bags, the smell was horrendous, a dead rat in between and some pigeon feathers against the smeary dumpster sides. That was when nature told what Ilrune spotted not a second later the metal of a bracelet blinking through. In haste, he pulled the top trashbags to the side uncovering Blade's body.
Ilrune jumped into the dumpster to pull her out. "Blade? Hey. Wakey, wakey," he shook her to test for a reaction. Sadly there was none; he'd have to keep trying to his relief, her chest was rising and falling ever so slowly however her magic barely existed, beneath the young Fairy more feathers and a pigeon body pierced by shiny red crystal spikes. "Blade, wake up," he firmly voiced as Ilrune put his arms under her and jumped onto the ledge of the dumpster and then to the edge of the roof a hard grip on it before he swung them both up. A soft landing after which Ilrune carefully laid the girl on the floor. She smelled like the dumpster itself and was covered by grease and sticky leftover alcohol that had pooled onto her skin and clothes from the trash bags. "Blade, come on girl, wake up." She only had a few scrapes nothing big. She was fine besides being out cold and having no magic. Nonetheless, he just couldn't quite relax. "Can you hear me? Squeeze my hand if you can." Ilrune tried again as he held one of her hands while his other rubbed Blade's sternum. Nothing. "Her magic's run dry like a desert... Just why?" He didn't like any of this. "Purify," The Elf activated his basic cleansing spell as he let his magic soar through her. Nothing more than a security message to make sure he wasn't missing something.
Down in the alley was an upbuild in magic as a portal opened from strong Light Magic illuminating the walls of the alley in its magic glimmer and vibrating air.
"Fan out, secure the scene. Take care of that Black Magic in the dumpster, now," A man's voice echoed out as the portal closed again a few footsteps and spells that began to be cast.
"Up here," Ilrune shouted from above. He still stared at Blade shaking his head trying to make any sense of all of this.
Not a second later a white blur dashed up and landed right next to him, "Status?" The sliver-streaked hair flicked as the Slayer came to a hold right next to the Council Guard all ready for action.
"Stable. Minor injuries. No corruption present but her magic pool is empty," Ilrune moved his hands above Blade's body to search her thoroughly with the purifying spell. "Blade, Wake up already…" He somewhat pleaded with the unconscious girl. This was just the same shit show that had happened during the exam. "Maybe I should infuse some magic even if against-"
"Wait," the Black Magic Division Hunter Wizard blinked, "that's the dark Fairy?"
"Yes, was late to class, we thought she was slacking off, found her in the dumpster…" Ilrune ground his teeth. "Should have checked the dumpster before going into the bar." Ilrune tensed up his hand as he finished the purifying spell.
"You couldn't have known her magic presence truly is non-existent even now. Make her ready for transport I'll call in to White Jade. That's the protocol for the dark Fairy, right?"
"Yes, the protocol states to interfere as little as possible before she gets sent to White Jade," Ilrune nodded yet also raised an eyebrow, "You know about the protocol?"
"Everyone in our Order knows about this protocol. Grandmaster Votzaak was adamant about it. You don't want to earn his scorn, believe me," with that the Slayer stepped away to make the call.
Ilrune stopped his purifying spell. He had found nothing. Instead, he placed Blade's hands on her stomach before he burrowed his arms beneath her to pick her up again and walked to the edge of the roof looking down below where the other Division Hunters set the dumpster's contents on fire with cleansing magic and the rest checked the surroundings. Their work was as fast and impressive as always. Ilrune sighed a bit relieved indeed this was nothing to worry about and still he did. He felt an up flare of magic that ripped him out of his thoughts and looked behind him.
"You missed one," The Wizard smirked as he shot his magic orb at a dead pigeon hidden behind some vent pipes. "What's wrong?" The seasoned Wizard straightened out his order robe. "I know you elves pretend to be all stiffs, but you're actually tense. The Fairy is fine, no corruption, maybe a bit sleepy it happens." He tilted his head, "Unless, there's an unknown reason for…"
"Shadion. Probably," Ilrune noted his eyes still fixated on Blade in his arms.
The Wizard grimaced, "that notorious transformation," a deep sigh. "Well, she seems fine and you'll have a portal to White Jade headquarters any second now." The Division Hunter tried to cheer him up and satisfied smiled as the pigeon behind the vent burned to a crisp and with it the Black Magic crystal inside the bird.
"Right, please check for any signs of foul play. Just in case," Ilrune noted with Blade secured in his arms still unconscious.
The Wizard frowned shortly, "Will do, Eques. Ah, there they are," he nodded towards the tiny spark of magic mid-air and sent a beam of light to connect with it. In return, the spark expanded slowly into a flat oval surface of swirling magic. "Make sure she's fine and that the Jades don't bodge this." He smirked reassuringly.
'Division Hunters always looking on the bright side of life,' Ilrune chuckled once trying his best to relax a bit before he stepped up to the portal. "Them screwing up? That be the day to go down in history. Sent a report to Master Aithlin as well, please," his last words before he stepped into the portal and left the grimy rooftop of the bar behind.
The sun, a radiant orb, cast its warm glow upon the landscape, where the White Jade Headquarters soared amidst the endless expanse of blue sky. Islands of various sizes floated silently amidst the clouds, supported by giant natural gem formations encased by stone and roots. Vibrant greens, purples, and blues adorned the islands, with lush undergrowth and ancient trees thriving alongside glistening waterfalls that cascaded from one level to another and formed serene lakes and ponds. Tranquil gardens crawled along the isles nearly hidden in wilderness but cared for with purpose all connected by shimmering energy bridges and paved paths, leading the way to the heart of the complex.
As Ilrune reached the other side of the portal, he was greeted by two initiates, who swiftly guided him towards Grandmaster Parcival at the cleansing springs. With Blade cradled in his arms, Ilrune followed and cast his winged boots spell to keep up. Their angel wings were just as imposing as the heart of the Headquarters.
Three towering structures reached even higher than the clouds, crowned by enormous White Jade gemstones. Two of them on smaller ilse orbiting around the biggest one. That tower or rather fortress rested upon the largest island of them all. Its might hidden in the foliage surrounding the bulwarks which bore traces of ancient elven craftsmanship carved into the marbled white stone, techno-magic energy lines in blues and turquoises weaving along those walls in the Order's signature vine pattern mirroring the crystal blue ponds all around. Gold-plated edges adorned the towers and bulwarks worthy of any king a statement to the prosperous White Jade Order and a testament to the majestic beauty and formidable defences that hid beneath all this craftsmanship. A harmonious blend of technology, elven craftsmanship, and ancient magic, the sight of the floating citadel never failed to evoke a sense of awe and wonder in Ilrune it reminded him of the natural splendour of his distant homeworld, Yggdrasor.
Ilrune checked on Blade in his arms but the girl missed all that beauty. "At least she sleeps peacefully…" He mumbled to himself. It was nerve-wracking everything in him screamed to simply boost her magic pool up. Yet all had decided not to interfere in such cases unless there was a threat to her life. They needed more information and an in-depth understanding of Shadion or maybe in this case the blend of Blade's Shadion and Winx. Guardian Pixi Athena had stated in the tests that Blade going unconscious was a natural reaction to her growing adpting power; if caused by a remnant. Ilrune had no proof though if it had been a remnant nonetheless the circumstances seemed at the very least similar. It was a risk but with next to no knowledge they had to take chances.
"Ilrune," A shout out from above just as the springs came to sight. Gwaine gave a friendly wave as he in a small spiral flew up to the Elf and already gave the Fairy a good look.
"Gwaine? You're fast," Ilrune smiled relieved. He was capable and easy to work with.
Cei just coming up behind cast a shadow with his wings and commented ever so serenely, "Shadion and therefore Blade is a priority case, since we want to keep the knowledge accumulation within a small group of course we got instantly recalled by our Grandmaster. I just hope Nimue is fine taking care of our original patient on her own." He wasn't mad it just was against his creed to leave a job unfinished.
"Don't be a downer, she got Fascia Bors with him," Gwaine rolled his eyes, "They'll do just fine." He gave a nod to the initiates who had guided Ilrune so far and they pulled away. "So, what do we know? She seems fine besides the low state of Mana or Drion." He still gave Blade a scrutinizing gaze.
Ilrune landed right next to Grandmaster Parcival who for a second stopped infusing magic into the cistern filled with fresh spring water and laced with White Jade. Intricate fine edged in rune scripture humming in the Grandmaster's Light Magic ready to take a patient. "She was late for class and didn't answer her phone. Her bracelet never connected to Red Fountain after the system reboot." Ilrune handed Blade off to Gwain who stepped down the cistern stairs into the water with her. "Her cellphone logs showed her there for the last two hours next to the bar in question. I found her unconscious in its dumpster near Red Crystal cadavers of pigeons and rats. She laid directly on a dead pidgeon its Red Crystals of course bigger than the other ones. Didn't pierce her skin at all not even her clothes. Her magic pool was as low as it is now. My bet is that the crystals drained her regenerating magic so she never could wake up, fake magic-exhaustion so to speak."
"You mean about one per cent lower than now," Cei corrected him. "She's already regenerating magic even if slower than normal." His piercing blue eyes were already fixed on the girl's aura.
"What else?" Parcival smiled kindly at Ilrune who still tried to truly calm down. White Jade was always more in-depth in their analytics but the bottom line was the same. No magic was left.
Ilrune sighed as he took of his helmet and let it vanish, "I used purify on her to make sure she wasn't corrupted by the Red Crystals; found nothing. Her minor injuries I left as is. Took about two minutes to get Blade here."
Gwaine closed his eyes as he lowered Blade into the water his hands right below the surface before with his Dark Magic he pulled Blade's floating body under the water and shifted his hands above her torso changing the active rune sets to accommodate his ritual.
"So we're missing two hours… and have no confirmation if it was a remnant," Parcival crossed his arms and felt the cool air on his skin, going through their options in his head.
Cei took his place on the other side of the cistern his sole focus on Blade's aura while Gwaine used the spring water to amplify the aura patterns through it and basically scaled the resolution of the aura pattern. The water reacted to his intent showing unnatural ripple patterns.
Ilrune had seen that a hundred times already and still didn't understand how they got anything useful through that method however he knew like any other Elf this technique was more accurate than any techno-magic scan or healing spell. "I doubt it was anything else. It's just too similar."
"This leaves the questions of where it came from, why those remnants siphon all her magic and how can we help Blade. While by the Pixie's statement, they can't hurt her, the fact that apparently, it can happen anytime is a huge problem," The Grandmaster agreed.
"Anytime not anywhere, huh? So you think it's connected to Black Magic's proximity? We just got the second incidence; isn't this a bit early for a conclusion?" Ilrune raised an eyebrow it was unlike them to be so hasty in validating their findings.
Cei dryly answered as he had found a fitting position his robes slightly dipping into the water, "It's already the third incident. Shadion came to be in the face of Black Magic, it IS connected. There is no coincidence here; it's a pattern." His orange hair lifted as if by a breeze but by his own magic upsoar as he infused all his senses and went into a trance. His eyes darted across the ripples.
"Cei's right," Parcival agreed as he crossed his arms behind his back and guided Ilrune a bit more to the side to grant his subordinates some more quiet. "You did good, Ilrune. She's safe," he laid a firm hand on the Elf his own aura silencing the turmoil within him. Ilrune forced it down well, after all, he was a trained Council Guard, though to the giant Grandmaster, it still was obvious and gladly helped out.
Ilrune breathed in and out as Parcivals little trick took effect, "I doubt you'll find any remnant of the remnant… even last time there was nothing. It just…"
"Enters her body, drains her magic but never leaves or at least not that we know of yet. It must leave traces it's only a question of finding them," Parcival kneeled down and picked up some fertile earth and quickly dried it with his magic. He angled his wrists so his white golden bracers reflected sunlight right at Ilrune's golden Council armour and then he cast the dust into the air revealing the projected ray from Ilrune's armour. "There's always a trace. We just need to find out what we're looking for." His eyes already wandering to the unmistakable presence he noticed.
A snort from behind them, "Question is can we find the sun before growing blind." Votzaak glared at the pool where Blade was submerged. His expression grim his fist balled, "If you would just distract Aithlin I'd easily find us a Pixi with all the knowledge we need…"
'Of course, his Order members informed him…' Parcival wasn't so sure if his fuming presence would help or distract from the task. Yet his magic knowledge was second to none. Still, his attitude could impair the aura reading of Gwaine and Cei as they were going deep. So he moved the group even further away ready to lead them into the adjacent gardens. "The days of war and torture are long over, Votzaak. You even fought for that, fiercely, I might add," Parcival stared at the little Leprechaun.
"Still fighting for it. Castle walls hide anything beyond their stone," Votzaak grimaced just thinking about some atrocities he had witnessed throughout the centuries. "A 'friendly' interrogation is still an option these days, though. We do that with any scumbag with knowledge worth acquiring," he cracked his knuckles as his Red Jade tattoos flared up and he pulled his hat into his face.
"Please, don't make me arrest you…" Ilrune rolled his eyes. Interrogations that went beyond the standard were a very fine line to be walked and always needed the approval of the Council and observation by an independent party and even then… The gremlin himself did anything to avoid such measures. Always. So, Ilrune kindly reminded him once again as so many Elves did these days, "Sadly the Pixis are within their rights and even follow a high degree of the Council nonetheless that it was way back when. Bottom line, there are no just grounds for any kind of interrogation."
Votzaak laughed out loud, "You? Arrest me? You have a better chance learning those tricks," he nodded to the cistern. This was a hilarious fever dream and promptly lightened up his mood.
"Actually that's not true… Ilrune hasn't the aptitude for White Jade practises at all. A lucky shot at you is more realistic," Parcival smirked before he led them along the small paved path into the guards.
"I don't get hit by lucky shots," Votzaak glared back. "I'm too exp-."
Parvical snapped against the tip of Votzaak's Wizard hat, "You were saying?"
"Tch. The youth today so rude…." Votzaak huffed offended but couldn't hide his amused grin as he tripped Ilrune. "Can't even walk straight," Smug as ever he caught him with his magic levitating him above ground. There was no reason to let him truly fall on his nose.
Ilrune stared at them both displeased, "You're as childish as any of us. Come to think of it how old are you even, Grandmaster Parcival?"
"One does not ask the elderly for their age, Ilrune, manners, dear boy, manners," Parcival admonished the Elf with feigned seriousness.
