It had been a year since Fazbear's Fright burned down. Although no one assumed anyone would attempt to revive Fazbear Entertainment, someone did just that. When it came to places that had animatronic entertainers and served food, there had been a pair of competitors for decades, one serving burgers and fries and the other also serving pizza. Both thrived while Freddy Fazbear's Pizza went under multiple times.

This time, though, they hired a man named Fritz Smith to serve as manager of the new location. He spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase a pizzeria with a single large room for patrons, tables, electricity, lights, a restroom to one side, and a kitchen to the other. It didn't come with any cups or plates, animatronics, stages for those animatronics, attractions like ball pits, arcade games and rides, or drink fountains… and he had a mere hundred dollars remaining after purchasing the location. The company gave him a free assistant animatronic named Helpy. He looked like a chibi version of Funtime Freddy and was the size of his hand.

Fritz looked through the catalog and asked, "Helpy, what do you think I should purchase?"

Helpy, with a voice like that of a young boy, replied, "Since we don't have a stage, how about getting one that fits two animatronics and put two on them?"

"… Although this catalog labels these five characters as 'animatronics', they seem more like statues,"

"The target audience kids won't notice. And you should also get those colorful paper cups and plates."

Besides the cups and plates, Fritz purchased a "Sanitation Station", a fan for the floor to go in one of the corners, paper pals that stayed intact since their creation in 1987 to hang on the back wall, and two "animatronics" that were more like statues. One was a blue cube crate with plastic googly eyes on her front (because she was dubbed "Number One Crate" and referred to with female pronouns despite being an inanimate object) and foam hands with "#1" text on each attached to her body with wooden sticks. The other was Mr. Hugs, a vacuum cleaner with googly eyes and white plastic arms.

"I feel like we should have attractions to place down, Helpy,"

"Why not get that balloon barrel, that 'discount ball pit', and the inflatable pool with water and rubber duckies?"

Fritz purchased those three things, leaving a free slot in the pizzeria he had, and made sure that patrons knew to take just one balloon each. The ducky pool allowed patrons to pick up ducks and redeem them for coupons with varying discounts. Some gave bigger discounts than others, so one was limited to three in one session. After redeeming them, they'd be returned to the pool. Fritz saw how this could backfire on the company, but rather than do anything to address those concerns, he cleaned and polished the three things, added a coin slot to each and realized as he was doing it that it should not have been possible to add a coin slot to a cardboard box or inflatable pool, and somehow added safety straps to the cardboard box.

Fritz spent that night doing various tasks, from ordering essentials for the pizzeria side of the establishment to printing posters and menus to ordering Helpy to clean ovens, unclog the toilets, and replace light bulbs. After all of those tasks were done, he went home for the day.

The next day, Fritz saw that the catalog had marked down some things due to being in worse condition. Helpy, who was there, said, "Management wants you to take advantage of the marked down prices,"

"How do you know?"

"They send me digital messages to tell you. Mind you, I'm not your boss. I'm more of a messenger than a worker,"

"What will they do if I refuse to purchase the marked down things? After all, they're more dangerous,"

"Sending a message now… Your boss won't mind it if you spend money to make more money than the marked down items would get,"

"Wouldn't the marked down stuff cause us to get sued if someone gets hurt?"

"… You're right, but I'm not telling your boss."

Fritz canceled the orders of plain colorful cups and plates in favor of foil ones of both that also came with foil party hats, expanded the pizzeria with a larger floor plan, new tables, new walls, and room for another pair of attractions, got deluxe dedicated speakers, and a gumball machine with a silly face, a hat, and a pair of swiveling arms that moved when given power. The gumball machine, named "Gumball Swivelhands", was placed in the front left corner if one was entering the place.

Fritz also got neon stage lights, a more sturdy stage that had room for a pair of medium weight animatronics, a novelty giant traffic light to be attached to the new stage, a cheap Freddy Fazbear model labeled "Ned Bear" with eyes facing different directions and an office tie, and a purple hippo animatronic of a character called Mr. Hippo. Mr. Hippo and Ned Bear went on the stage in the respective positions of Mr. Hugs and Number One Crate.

Fritz and Helpy had to do some tasks. During the tasks, Helpy said, "Fritz, your boss sent you a message claiming that management higher than him claim you should have purchased the marked down arcade games 'Fruity Maze' and 'Midnight Motorist',"

"But I assume being marked down would mean that they'd have bootleg arcade boards that could have improper voltages and could destroy the legit components at any moment."

The day after that, Fritz expanded the pizzeria for the final time, adding piles of balloons in various colors to the corners.

Helpy was on his shoulder as he looked at the catalog and pointed at a stage and said, "Oooh! The Deluxe Concert Stage has integrated speakers!"

"But we already have dedicated deluxe speakers."

Fritz purchased the stage and its integrated speakers, putting the deluxe speakers in front of the integrated ones. He also purchased the Star Curtain Stage and placed it to one side of the Deluxe Concert stage, a Neon Jukebox, a new animatronic Foxy labeled as part of the 'Rockstar' line of animatronics, security doors that seemed to have a face, and medical stations. The new Foxy went on the star curtain stage while the previous four were all put on stage together, with Number One Crate on the far side of Ned Bear and Mr. Hugs next to Mr. Hippo. He also ordered a robot called Candy Cadet that dispensed candy, cleaned and polished him, and added a third coin slot on top of the two he came with. He placed him in one of the attraction slots… since he realized he didn't take advantage of any of the slots in the second stage of the pizzeria.

Besides Candy Cadet, he also ordered a balloon cart to replace the barrel, a deluxe ball pit to replace the cardboard box, a fruit punch dispenser that looked like a clown, a lemonade dispenser also shaped like a clown, a carnival basketball game, a cooler version of the standard rocket ride that spun people around a central sphere, and a ladder tower. All of them were cleaned and polished and coin slots were added even when it made no sense. The spinning ride, ball pit, and ladder tower all had safety straps added, though it did not eliminate the risks.

That night, Helpy said, "The higher management above your boss has praised you for making more fun attractions even if they're more dangerous."

On his fourth day, he purchased a disco pizza light to go on the back wall near the deluxe concert stage, replaced the tile checkerboard floor with another checkerboard tile floor with confetti designs built into the tiles, and bought a weird animatronic called Music Man, a beaver animatronic called El Chip Fazbear Entertainment obtained by buying out the company the character belonged to (which used him in a Mexican restaurant that, like many, was more Texas style Mexican food), and an orange elephant animatronic named Orville Elephant. To his surprise, a white and pink Chica animatronic came through the front door and said, "Hello! I wanna perform for children again! My name is Funtime Chica and this is Funtime Cupcake! Sorry that I'm missing a costume plate on one of my boobs. It's been a while since I could receive maintenance,"

Fritz stared in surprise that an animatronic came to him on her own. She said, "Look, it turns out the animatronics I used to hang out with were designed to kidnap and kill children, but I don't know whether or not I'm designed for that as well. Just in case I am, since attacking kids is involuntary, can you afford to hire guards to watch over me while kids are present?"

Fritz said, "… Yeah, I suppose we could do that. Which stage do you wanna be on?"

Funtime Chica took the place of Ned Bear, El Chip took the place of Mr. Hippo, Music Man took the place of Mr. Hugs, and Orville Elephant took the place of Number One Crate. Rockstar Foxy stayed on his own stage.

As Fritz and Helpy were doing tasks, Helpy said, "Your boss says that it's for the best you've replaced Number One Crate and Mr. Hugs given that they were available for the public to see far longer than they should have been. But they also forbid you from using Funtime Chica as a suit or hiring someone else to do that… because they claim that she's one of three models of springlock suit, animatronics that have a mode that let them be suits. Mind you, they claim to be more concerned for the bottom line than the life or lives endangered by wearing her as a suit."

Fritz hired a pair of men to keep an eye on Funtime Chica in case she was also designed to kill against her will. The location was doing great under his management, but his boss sent him a text message that said, "I'm sorry, but your concern for safety is costing the company too much money. That, and I screwed something up and am getting demoted to your position. It's not my decision. Maybe you could get work at one of our competitors."

Fritz, assuming Fazbear Entertainment would never hire him again, had to choose which of the competitors to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, the new name of the location he set up, to work for, knowing he had to commit to just one.
