Charlie followed her new...friends? She was uncertain about that label. She did like them, but were they truly friends? Humans differed from demons and sinners. They entered the clothing store before Ashley gasped.

"I completely forgot Halloween was coming up!" She exclaimed upon seeing the costumes.

This reminded Charlie of something from her home. Halloween was significant in Hell. It was the one day when most hellborns could freely roam Earth in their true forms without interference from Heaven. She had also heard stories of how humans transformed the day from warding off evil to a celebration of dressing up and receiving candy from strangers.

"Oh, I had forgotten that was approaching," May sighed.

"Does your dad still not get it?" Eric inquired.

"It's more that he wishes this town would never celebrate it," May replied, shaking her head.

"Oh, come on! It's a harmless holiday. The only risk is overeating candy," Ashley retorted, rolling her eyes.

"Actually, Ashley, Halloween was originally known as All Hallows' Eve. It began as a tradition to ward off evil spirits and monsters in the early years of many countries. It didn't evolve into the celebration you see today until much later. Although most countries have their unique ways of celebrating it, my family is familiar with all the variations, and I must admit, it's quite a bit to keep up with," Charlie explained, eliciting surprise.

"You really know your stuff, Charlie," Ashley said with a smile.

'Being around for centuries certainly teaches you a thing or two,' Charlie thought to herself, a blush coloring her cheeks.

"So, do you have any idea what you want to dress up as?" Ashley asked.

"I can't join; my father won't allow it," May replied with a sigh.

Ashley frowned before turning to Charlie.

"And you?" She inquired.

"I've never dressed up before, so I'm not sure what I'd want to wear," Charlie admitted, pondering.

"Well, we have a few days ahead of us, so there's time," Eric remarked, prompting a nod from Ashley.

"Until then, let's get you some clothes!" she exclaimed with a smile.

Charlie pondered, 'Perhaps they are my friends. But would they accept the fact that I'm actually a demon? Or that I'm the daughter of the king of hell?' The uncertainty of revealing her truth lingered.

Meanwhile, in Heaven,

Lute descended onto the clouds and hurried toward Adam, eager to share her discoveries. She was impatient to eliminate Lucifer's offspring, and they had the chance to do so before the extermination.

"Sir!" she exclaimed, bursting into his office.

"Ah, Lute! You've returned so quickly?" he remarked, sipping his beverage.

"I've just found out that Lucifer's offspring is on Earth!" She declared, causing him to choke on his drink.

"WHERE IS SHE?!" he bellowed.

Lute recounted the tale of the human priest who summoned her, desiring to rid his daughter of a girl who was influencing her. Upon discovering her identity, he gave them the green light to pursue her. Adam couldn't help but chuckle.

"So, Lucifer's offspring is on Earth? She's violating the agreement," he said with a smile.

"She has been spotted with some humans. Apart from the daughter we were instructed to spare, two others are accompanying her," Lute reported.

Adam hummed thoughtfully. It was evident that approaching Lucifer's progeny would be challenging, and he was in full agreement with Heaven's policy against harming humans.

"Does she have any other vulnerabilities?" He inquired.

"She appears to suffer near churches; I've heard she becomes sick just by being in proximity to one," Lute shared.

"So she lacks the same defenses as Lucifer. That's something we can exploit," Adam remarked, smirking.

"Sir?" Lute questioned.

"We needn't lift a finger! Simply drive her into a church and ensure she remains there. Lucifer won't be able to hold us accountable for his daughter's demise," Adam proposed, grinning wickedly.

"Once she's dealt with, we can continue our true mission: exterminating demons and their ilk," He declared, laughing.

Lute couldn't help but smirk. It did sound like a plan, but there was one issue.

"What about Sera?" she asked.

"Don't bother telling her. After all, we have permission to proceed. Even if she knew, she couldn't interfere. Send two of my best angels to force Lucifer's offspring into the church and ensure she remains there until her demise is confirmed," he commanded, settling back into his seat.

"Yes, sir," Lute responded, dashing off to execute her orders.

Unbeknownst to them, another angel overheard and frowned upon Adam's scheme. He was appalled that Adam would consider ending Lucifer's child's life just to continue purging demons and sinners in Hell. He resolved that Charlie would not die by any means.

"You're bending the rules again, Adam. When your end comes, Heaven will be liberated from your deceptions. And I will not be there to claim your soul," He declared.

Azrael, the Angel of Death, had learned of Charlie's visit to Heaven and had covertly attended her meeting. It was evident that she was attempting to mediate, but both Sera and Adam were rejecting her proposals. Adam was overstepping his bounds since his arrival. He and the other angels had concurred that if he continued to transgress, they would depose him from his position of authority. Expelling Lucifer was one matter; Adam's actions did not align with the principles of Heaven.

"I consented to the exterminations on one condition: those born of Hell are to be spared. If I learn that any have been slain, our pact is nullified."

Even Azrael understood that it was meant to protect his daughter. Many were surprised when they learned of this. It was evident to some that he spoke out of profound love for his newborn daughter. Lucifer was distinctly different from when he had attempted to share his ideas in heaven. Azrael began to observe Charlie from a distance, taking note of all her endeavors. In essence, the angel of death transformed into a guardian angel for the princess of hell.

Azrael exhaled deeply, aware of the peril facing Lucifer's daughter. Sera might be powerless, but he was not. Hood drawn over his head, he strode toward the gates, anticipating the arrival of the angels dispatched to eliminate Charlie. Yet, he was determined to guarantee Charlie's survival. After all, her story was far from over.

Back on Earth,

Charlie had to concede that fashion was never her forte, yet she recognized Ashley's talent for it. May had shed her nun attire for a white shirt and blue jeans, revealing her white hair, which took Charlie by surprise.

"You look amazing, May!" Ashley exclaimed, clearly impressed.

"It feels odd," admitted May, somewhat uncomfortable.

Her nun's habit had been her constant attire, removed only for showers and sleep. Donning everyday clothes felt alien to her. Charlie understood this feeling; she too was accustomed to her uniform, changing it only for sleep or when Alastor magically altered her attire.

Eric was absent; he had stayed true to his word and was elsewhere in the store, awaiting their return.

"My father would disapprove of me wearing these again," May remarked with a sigh.

"He's confining you," Charlie responded, echoing the sigh.

"Exactly. Skipping church doesn't mean I want to force change upon someone," Ashley concurred.

"Listen," May began.

"May, you know well that God desires our happiness. If this brings you joy, then it's your decision. If he's content with Charlie aiding the wicked to reform, then why should you abide by another's dictates?" Ashley argued, her arms folded.

"Happiness stems from what we cherish most. And if God is content with that, then I am too," She concluded.

May looked at her, surprised, yet she could sense the honesty and wisdom in her words. Indeed, many people don't follow God's will, but some are confident that God is content with their lives. Moreover, neither Charlie nor Ashley wished to change her; they simply wanted to offer her a glimpse of freedom. And even if it was just for today, she wanted to savor it as much as possible.

"Very well. I mean, I see," she said, attempting to mimic a typical teenager's tone.

Ashley giggled, aware that May had much to learn.

"Let's go pay for these clothes and meet up with Eric," she suggested, prompting a nod from Charlie.

'Maybe I should tell them. I don't know when I'll return home, but Ashley is right. Why should I conform to others' choices? They should know that helping me would delight my father,' Charlie pondered, stroking her chin thoughtfully.

Charlie decided to wait until they had a private moment. It would be preferable with fewer people around. Unbeknownst to her, two angels had observed her and were preparing to enact their plan, all under the distant gaze of the Angel of Death.

That concludes the current update. As Halloween approaches in the narrative, Charlie sheds light on its history, which is the most accurate account available. Adam has become aware of Charlie's presence on Earth and has discovered her vulnerability to a certain object. Consequently, he commands two elite angels to expose Charlie to it, hoping to eliminate her without Heaven's direct involvement. However, his plan is thwarted as the Angel of Death himself intervenes to protect her.

Regarding Azrael's appearance, searching for 'Hazbin Hotel ArchAngel Azrael' will yield fan interpretations, as the archangels have not been depicted in the show yet. The correct depiction features a character with black hair and a black suit, wielding either a staff or a bladed staff.

The story progresses to an assault, and Charlie is poised to reveal her true identity to her newfound companions. What unfolds next remains to be seen.
