"I am deeply sorry you have to travel in the rain like this, my friend."
Undikai soothed her horse as the rain padded down on them both. She had to be quick, and that meant no stopping unless they were injured. Every moment was wasting away, a moment that could be used to help Undikai recover.
Undikai felt her shoulder burn, little splotches of fluids and blood staining her sleeve, that of which contained the infected arm. Her newly claw-like fingers clenched, feeling an aching, numbing sensation as her vision grew a bit darker. She clenched her teeth, and continued on. She couldn't let this troublesome infection prevent her from arriving soon.
As if it could sense the chance's dwindling, the horse she rode upon sped up, kicking up lots of dust behind it. By the grace of Hylia, stone walls surrounding the castle came into view. Black malice creeped up her neck like a vine, making Undikai's worry heighten. She couldn't be weakened, she had people to lead, a kingdom to support. That was her main concern. No herself, but her poor people..
"Your Majesty,"
A servant called out, making Queen Zelda arise from her books and papers. She brushed off her gown before standing.
"Yes?"
"There is a foreigner here to see you. The person is presumably female, and comes from a different country. She seems injured."
Zelda rose her brow, a slightly concerned smile forming on her lips. She made her way to the door.
"I'll be in my study. Bring them to me."
Undikai was ushered off her horse, and into the palace. Assuming the steed had been taken to the stables, she obliged.
Her boots clicked against the floor as she adjusted her imperial badge, being lead to what she was informed was the study. Her gaze was kept at the floor, but her posture stood straight. She could feel aching in her shoulder, slowly traveling up her neck through her veins. Her lips parted, being very tired and sickly-feeling. The eye bags she had.
The guard opened the large wooden door to the study. Undikai nodded in thanks before stepping in. She stood for a moment...
There was a woman, supposedly the queen, sitting at the mahogany desk. She had golden shiny hair, and sparkly eyes. Her skin was a delicate, sunkissed tan. Her dress was that of a blue, with golden accents.
Undikai blinked, shifting her feet. She stepped forward, clearing her throat.
"I apologize for arrive unannounced. My name, is Undikai, Ruler of Zelania."
The Queen's eyes widened. Her lips parted, and she blinked for a moment before replying.
"My! It didn't cross my mind that I'd have foreign royalty visiting me! It did cross my mind, seeing your regal choice of clothing. Never mind that."
She spoke, before standing up. She walked over to Undikai, taking her good hand, which was the only hand visible, and shaking it.
"Queen Zelda of Hyrule, pleasure to meet you."
Zelda introduced, before continuing.
"This must be urgent, especially since you've arrived unannounced. Is it assistance you require? Money? Trade?"
Zelda asked, but worry was gnawing at her in the back of her mind. As if this wouldn't be a regular exchange between two rulers.
Undikai sighed, as she adjusted her cape, pulling it more over her affected side. She looked tired, and drained. She cleared her throat, and looked to Zelda. She had to look down slightly, since her height was above the Queen's head.
"Do you happen to know anything of Gannondorf?"
Those words echoed in Zelda's head... then it hit her. The book, the malice... the page the malice absorbed into! It was all connected. The worst part was, she thought Gannon was gone.
"...Yes, yes I do. Let's sit down and fill you in on some... rather recent historical events."
Zelda spoke, sitting Undikai down at a table.
Undikai sat with wide eyes as Zelda explained all the altercations that the demon lord had caused, and all that had endured. It made the ache in her limb all the much worse. She looked down at the table.
"Why was his name mentioned?"
Zelda asked, concern and worry forming lines in her face. For some odd reason, her intuitions were telling her that Undikai was a good person at heart.
"...He has been causing me some personal issues."
Undikai explained, which made Zelda's frown deepen. Undikai stood up, and backed away, before throwing her cape over her shoulder.
Zelda quickly stood up, covering her mouth at the horror that she had witnessed. Undikai's entire arm had been covered with malice, her fingers long and sharp, the malice dusting her shoulder and neck. Undikai cringed and Zelda quickly came forward, the triforce on her hands glowing as she took the infected limb in her grasp.
Nothing was happening.
Zelda breathed out, still absolutely bewildered and shocked at the sight before her. She place her hands on Undikai's shoulders, making Undikai jump slightly. "Don't worry, you're safe in my hands, Undikai." She reassured. Undikai however, had a lump in her throat, as she averted Zelda's eyes.
"This definitely won't be a short period of time type of fix.." Zelda thought out loud, flipping over Undikai's palm and studying it closely.
"We'll need the Champions."
Undikai raised a brow.
"The who?"
