Chapter 9: Take a Tour in the City Part 3

3:30 PM

Kuroko returned to the garden cafe where her two friends were still looking through the laptop. "Shirai, was Misaka there?" Uiharu asked.

"No, the opposite, Touma was there with new friends," Kuroko replied surprising her two friends. "That's wonderful, we should inform Misaka at once!" Uiharu took out her cell phone but before she could make a call to Railgun Esper, her phone rang.

"Uhh...hello." She answered. "Oh I see, we're having guests there. Alright, we'll be there."

"What is it now?" Kuroko asked.

"We have some guests that want to meet up with us at the office," Uiharu replied hanging up her cell phone.

"Guests, for what?" Satan asked. Uiharu shrugged. "Not sure, but, they seem like important people even Aiho is going to meet us there too."

Kuroko sighed. "Look we'll deal with this folktale another time, for now, we have a job to do." Satan was wondering about one thing. "What about Misaka?"

"We'll tell her about Kamijou's whereabouts later," Kuroko quickly ran off grabbing the laptop as her friends followed.

Wendy and Carla took a bus through the city, luckily, the sky dragon slayer took a pill before she got on and could enjoy the ride without getting sick.

"This bus is amazing," Wendy said looking out the window as she saw buildings that they were passing by and people.

"Have you ever enjoyed a bus ride before?" Misaka asked with a weary smile.

Wendy flinched while facing the Railgun girl. "Well, I have motion sickness problems." This surprised the brown-haired teen. "Whenever I get in anything that's transportation, my stomach gets all sore and I feel like I want to hurl." Misaka felt sorry for the young girl. "But, don't worry, I took a pill that helps me."

"Honestly, if we hadn't picked found the pills she needs for motion sickness, she wouldn't been able to enjoy rides." Carla thought.

"Anyway, where do you want to go?" Wendy asked.

Misaka thought for a minute. "Well, we can go to a family restaurant for a late lunch, and don't worry, this one is on me." Wendy couldn't help but feel a little bad. "Wait, surely, I can pay a little, like a tip." Misaka had another idea. "Well, perhaps, we pay together as a first start our friendship." The sky dragon slayer smiled.

Carla smiled at the two girls.

M

Mest's group was walking down a random street.

"Man, that was quite a ride." Mest groaned.

"Blame on those thugs for stupidly trying to hijack the monorail." Kovu scoffed. "Then again, it was fun scaring the crap out of them."

Joan had to admit it felt good dealing with thugs. "It has been a long time since we dealt with dangerous robbers."

Mest was concerned about one thing. "Still, don't try to use your magic, because we might attract more attention." Joan understood that not to mention if she sprouted her wings, it would cause more attention. Kovu smirked. "I won't use my magic on weaklings if I have to. Either way, I can't wait to battle some powerful enemies."

Mest didn't know why, but, his old friend was beginning to remind him of Natsu.

Back at the park

After Natsu's group encounter with Motoharu, Touma decides to ask questions. "Listen about your cat, how can it talk?" Natsu let out a low grunt. "For the record, his name is Happy, buddy!"

Whack

The fire dragon slayer was whacked on the head leaving a red bump while he crouched down placing his hands on his sore. "What Natsu means to say is that Happy is a special kind of cat, a new species," Erza answered. "That said, if you are wondering why we're here in the city, we're on a mission."

Lucy felt worried about telling about their mission a little too soon. "Erza...I don't think you..." Erza put her arm out at the celestial wizard signaling her to be silent. "I won't explain the entire mission, but, we're here to rescue some people that know a friend of ours. The only problem is that we don't know where to start looking. Lastly, we had two former enemies kidnapped and we think the same enemies are the punks that took our two former enemies too."

Touma understood a little of his friend's reason for arriving in the city. "So that's the reason, but, something is telling me they're holding something else back." As much as he wanted to ask more questions, he didn't want to force them after all no one bothered to get his secret out.

"Do you think the enemies will make a strike in the city?" Touma asked.

That was a good question for the earthland wizards, Erza decided to answer that. "We can assume that will be the case, but, for now, we'll just continue our tour for the day." Touma nodded his head and he looked at the blue cat. "Anyway, I never seen a talking cat before. But, I hope we can be friends." Happy nodded. "Aye sir."

The others smiled at the scene including Natsu who just sat up. Elfman smirked. "A manly friendship!"

Three magicians were eavesdropping. "Looks like boss Stiyl was right. Motaharu was up to something and looks like he left without gathering more intel." A long wavy blond hair girl peeking from behind a bush. She wore a pointed witch hat with a ribbon. Her dress exposed some of her cleavage and by her side was a broom with a cat charm attached to it. She wore white stockings and court shoes with ankle straps as well as evening gloves. She also wore the Cross of St. George.

"Touma is hanging out with strange people. I can sense strong magic coming from them. It feels incredibly powerful and that the kitty can talk." Another girl with long green hair was in her bush wearing an outfit that consisted of a hood with cat ears on the top and revealing clothes leaving most of her front side exposed, covering only slightly her breast which is aided by her small cape covering her neck, and much of her shoulders and above her breasts. Her dress has long pointy coattails. She wore panties covering her crotch area. She also wore stockings but her garter belt was exposed and wore a St. George Cross

"They look like nice people, despite they seem a little rough, noisy, and hotheaded. Not only that, those three girls have bigger boobs than ours." A third girl with shoulder-length wavy brown hair was seen hiding in a tree. She wore a bowler hat with a ribbon on top. Her outfit is the least revealing among the others. She wore breeches covering most of her legs exposing her white stockings Her robes she had were loose and her white cape covered most of her upper torso. Her footwear was high-cut slip-on shoes with a ribbon on the thick heel.

Mally then lost her balance and fell on the grass creating a faint thud. Natsu's ears twitched at the sound and caught a whiff of her scent. "Hey, who's there!" In a flash, the three witches fled the scene.

Touma caught a glimpse of the three witches. "Those girls...didn't they hang out with Stiyl?" He recalled they worked during the incident with Meigo Arisa. "Stiyl, were you in on Motoharu's sudden introduction?"

Gray looked the direction too. "Sounds like some people were spying on us, but, what for?"

Erza had a theory. "It's possible that our landing might've drawn more attention than we thought." She looked at Touma. "Though, we can't afford to do anything rash." She cleared her throat. "Anyway, let's continue on, Touma, do you know of a place where we can shop quickly." Touma gasped comically. "Oh no, I almost forgot about that!"

Itsuwa arrived at Touma's apartment. "I wonder if he's home." He went to the floor where his room was and approached the door.

Knock Knock

Nobody answered so she knocked a few times.

"Where could he be?" She asked.

Ms. Komoe walked out of Anna and Yukino's room. "Well, I'll be seeing you. Make sure the kids get their outfits." Anna was at the door. "I will have a good day." Before she could close the door. "Looks like we have a visitor." Ms. Komoe saw the young girl. "Oh hello, may I help?"

Itsuwa rubbed her head. "Oh, I heard Touma was back at home, so, I thought I should drop by and say "hello"." Anna was intrigued. She heard Touma has helped a lot of girls lately. "Oh, forgive me, I'm Itsuwa."

Ms. Komoe smiled sweetly. "Well, Touma went out to give a tour to some new neighbors that just arrived here. Some of them are going to be new students in my class in two days." Itsuwa was intrigued. "Do you know where Touma and the others went?" The short teacher munckin shook her head. "No, but, I could give him a call."

"Ms. Komoe..." Just then Kikyou arrived with the dragon girl(who didn't have her wings since she had them and her tail pulled into her body). "I'm sorry about to intruder this conversation, but, I brought the new neighbor."

M

Index's group finally left Pizza Hut and was walking down a sidewalk.

"That was a lot of food," Index glee with a big smile rubbing her belly.

"My, her appetite is almost as crazy as Natsu and Akame's." Mirajane thought with a smile.

Lisanna had other thoughts about the little nun. "There is something odd about her. The magic I'm sensing from her is unique, I sensed a lot of magic power even from the Twelve and other enemy wizards we fought in the past. But, hers is so different. Not dangerous, but mysterious." She had a feeling there was more to Index than just being a nun. "Index, I have a question, you wouldn't happen to be a magician, would you?" The little nun stopped in her tracks without even turning her head. She wondered if she had to right to ask that question so suddenly. "Index?"

The little white outfit nun took a deep breath. "I suppose I can explain it since I can sense magic from you guys." The others couldn't deny that, she must have a magic sensor like they do. "I'll explain my history and with Touma too, but, not here." She pointed at the nearby alleyway. They went inside in the middle, and despite the area being narrow, they had no choice.

"First off, you're right about me having magic, but, I'm a magician." The index began as she looked at her new friends. "Honestly, I don't much about my past. However, I have over 103,000 grimoires stored in my memory."

The Earthland wizards were utterly stunned at that detail. "Hold on, 103,000 grimoires, that's insane," Yukino exclaimed with wide eyes.

"I must admit, I never memorized that many before," Rufus commented still utterly stunned.

Aquapad began to wonder if she was even human. "I knew this girl was a magician or wizard, but having so grimories in her memory. Surely, there was a catch for having so many in her mind."

"I also remember I was unconscious multiple times. I didn't know why at first until..." She began to explain what Touma told her before he went off to stop the archangel from absorbing the ice in the north. The Earthland wizards were in disbelief this time loss for words until Mirajane spoke. "I see, so, Touma lost his memories to save you. Though, he kept a secret because he thought it was right, but, didn't think it was even necessary."

Yukino smiled. "Either way, Touma has saved you countless times and helped others too. I can say his heart was in the right mind, whether it was wrong or not, he kept doing for what he believed in." Rufus chuckled softly. "She's right, I don't know the kid well, but, he has his own beliefs, like what we have."

Aquapad had his arms crossed with a big grin. "I think whether he did wasn't wrong, perhaps he didn't have the answer to know if lying to you was right or not. But, he truly has a path that he can believe in and that's the help anyone in need."

"Yeah, he has the heart of a fairy," Lisanna giggled sweetly. "No doubt, Mavis would've seen that too."

Index smiled happily to hear that. "Thank you, I appreciate your support." She stretched her arms. "Well, Touma should be getting the shopping done, so, let's return to the apartment."

4:00 PM

Natsu's group arrived at the Green Mart. "Well, we must gather what we need including a lot of meat," Natsu said.

"Hold it..." Erza grabbed Natsu by his scarf nearly choking him. "We must choose what we need to buy, we can't waste all our allowance in one day." She looked at the others. "Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Happy, Juvia, you four will return to the apartment while we do the grocery shopping, understood?" The five nodded with a slight whimper, though, Juvia's fear was replaced as she hugged Gray's arm. "Touma, you shopped here before, right?" Touma nodded. "Alright, Cana, Elfman, you two will help us find what we need. Once we're done, we'll return to the apartment. Any questions?"

The others shook their heads and Erza then raised her arm. "Let's start shopping!"

Lucy sweat dropped at her friend's esthetic. "Geez, she makes it like it's a mission."

Maggie and Arista were nearly done with their shopping. "Looks like we did well."

"Right, though, we got to get a job, at least, one that gives some money," Maggie said as she saw a wanted poster on a glass window. "Hmm..." She looked at it.

At the Judgement headquarters.

Uiharu, Kuroko, and Saten arrived and they saw Mii Konori sitting at her desk. "Where are these guests?" Kuroko asked.

"Over here kid," The pigtailed girl twitched at that name. "Who are you calling ki-" She froze when saw Gajeel and his group.

"I presume these are our guests, right?" Uiharu asked.

Konori nodded. "Yes, allow me to introduce them."

"First the young lady, Levy Mcgarden."

"Hey,"

"Second is, Gajeel Redfox."

"Hmph..."

"Primo,"

"Tch..."

"And, lastly, their pet, Lily." The black exceeds body twitched at the word "pet".

"Hey lady, his full name is Pantherlily and he isn't a pet, he's my fighting partner!" Gajeel retorted loudly startling the glasses-wearing girl and the other three teens.

Primo chuckled a little. "Pet...heheheh."

"Anyway, they're here on a special assignment. For personal reasons, they would like to know if we have any data on something like any previous history on reports."

Satan thought this over and began to think if they knew anything could help their guests. "Well..." Before she said anything, Kuroko put her arm out. "Konori, could you give us a moment alone, please?" The chief was puzzled but for once she could see Kuroko was serious so she left the office.

"Uiharu, show them the story we found on the internet," The short black-haired girl nodded and opened her laptop as she turned it on. "Let's see...oh right here." She turned over the laptop and showed them the old story of the Black Wizard that was in Academy City.

"Hold you discovered this on your own," Primo questioned a little surprised.

Uiharu froze for a moment before finding her voice. "I'm a rather talented girl when it comes to finding information on the internet." Primo let out a grunt. "I have to admit I'm impressed that someone so young can find something so easily." Primo brought the laptop closely and read it. "..." Gajeel read the report and then Levy had her turn.

Each of them had their reaction, however, Kuroko could tell that something must've caught their attention. "You guys don't seriously think there is some truth to this folktale, right?" Primo looked at the girl with a serious look causing her to freeze. "Folktale or not, this story isn't a laughing matter, I suggest you should take some stories seriously. Sometimes, there could be truth to stories. Ones that can be dangerous."

Primo took out a flashdrive he got from Aiho. "I will download this story to this." The download process was soon done. "Quite the technology that Judgement has." Primo took out the flashdrive out and placed it in his pocket. "I think we're done here. We appreciate your assistance." He walked out the door.

Gajeel had his say. "I admit for little shrimps you know how to work technology."

Kuroko teleported and drop-kicked the iron dragon slayer on the side of his head. "Who you are calling shrimps you nail-faced freak!" She retorted with shark teeth.

"Easy, Shirai! I'm sure he was just teasing us, but not a bad way." Satan said trying to calm down her pigtail friend.

"Hotheaded as usual," Uiharu whispered with a sweat drop.

Levy was stunned by what the girl had just done. "What was that teleportation?"

Lily was just as stunned as his friend was. "Teleporation, but, I didn't sense any magic from her. Not only that, the others don't have magic either."

"Anyway, we'll be on our way, thank you," Gajeel stood up and walked out the door.

Levy waved politely at the three girls. "You girls are very smart. I have a favor to ask. Do you know of a library or bookstore?"

Wendy, Carla, and Carla went to a family restaurant.

Wendy had chicken nuggets with sweet peas and orange juice. Carla had fried fish and cold water. Misaka was eating steak with barbecue and herbal tea.

"Wow, so good," Wendy chowed down.

Carla sweatdropped at the sky dragon slayer's eating habit. "Easy child, you need to slow down." Misaka was too busy eating to notice the white cat was talking. Her thoughts were back on Touma. "Geez, do I have to think of that idiot now?" More images of the boy she had feelings for kept popping into her head. Her eyes became dizzy and her heart began to race.

"Misaka...is something wrong?" Wendy's voice snapped the Railgun girl out of her thoughts. "Uhh...nothing...nothing...I was just thinking."

Wendy had a good guess of what her new friend was thinking. "Is it about Touma?" Misaka flinched as her face went red as she turned her face away. "No...no...I'm not thinking about that idiot...I swear!" Carla could see the teenage girl was denying it. "She's a liar."

"It's fine..." Misaka looked back at Wendy, who was just smiling. "I think your friend is safe." The railgun user wasn't expecting to hear that. "Perhaps you can tell me about him, I mean if you want to." Misaka regained her composure and took a deep breath. "Well, that guy is naïve and has a habit of helping people out whether they're strangers or not. Honestly, I lost count of the people he saved even if things get dangerous." She then had a soft smile on her face. "Though, he helped save me from getting killed by a strong enemy here. If I had confronted this powerful foe, I'd probably be dead."

Wendy could understand Misaka's concern for her friend and how down she must've been when he went missing. "He sounds like he's a good person. I might never met Touma before, but, he sounds like someone I could admire." Misaka felt like something hit her in the stomach. "Someone who likes to help people whether they're a stranger or not isn't a bad thing. I think it's good to know some people like to help those in need."

Misaka had to admit for someone so young the girl has a talent for seeing the good that people do. "I guess you're right. if that idiot is alive, then I'll pray that he returns safe and sound." Wendy giggled and Carla just smiled as they all continued to eat.

The day is almost coming to a close, they're nearly done with their tasks for the day. Fairy Tail is bonding with some of the Espers and understands a little. Primo, is still acting like a stuck-up jerk but seems to know smart people when he sees them. For now, what will happen next, find out next.

End of chapter.
