He sighed contently before smiling warmly as he watched her from a short distance, on her hands and knees as she inspected the radishes they had grown on their little farm.

She looked so cute in her little straw hat, a basket on her back to store their vegetables as they harvested them. He felt the gentle breeze on his warm skin, his eyes gazing as the calm puffs of air gently nipped at the little bangs that fell loose at the sides of her face. He wiped some of the sweat from his forehead with his scarf, it was such a warm day and he'd been busy pulling up all the carrots, some to keep for them and the rest to sell at the market.

Goku never understood the need for a job. He hunted animals for his family to eat, cut down trees for firewood and picked apples from their trees. The Ox King supported them financially with everything else they needed, and Goku being Goku, didn't see a problem with it if the Ox King didn't.

But, his head strong wife was determined to make him a working man! She wanted them to be able to provide for themselves and not rely on her father. She'd made that clear before Goku sacrificed himself against Cell. So, when he returned to life 7 years later, he wasn't keen on the idea of working, but he owed it to his wife to get a job.

He moaned and groaned about it, pouting like a child when his wife would send him off to work on their little farm, when really he just wanted to do some training instead. It wasn't like it was particularly difficult for him, it was just boring sometimes, especially if he was on his own all day working.

But, it wasn't like Goku did all of the work by himself. Chichi did all the prep work! She planned out where they would put their crops, what sorts of vegetables they would grow and when! Goku didn't know, but different things grew at different times of the year.

Chichi spent many days helping him plant seeds and harvest their vegetables, even though he was more than capable of doing it alone. But, his strong little wife wouldn't have that! She wanted to help him, explaining how it was their farm and their responsibility together. She may have got on his case to do this farming work, but she supported him every step of the way. Goku really appreciated that from her.

She'd praise him when she inspected his work, telling him how proud she was of him for all the vegetables he grew, harvested and sold. Sure, she'd throw comments here and there when scolding Goten for slacking off with his studies, saying he didn't want to end up like his father with very little education, which meant it was harder to get a decent job. But, Goku didn't take it too hard. His wife wasn't wrong, he didn't have the best of education and grew up knowing very little about the responsibilities of being an adult, and if he was being honest, her words certainly kept their son on his toes and made him knuckle down.

And he wanted the best for his son after all, so, he let Chichi deal with it in her own way, even if that meant taking the heat. He knew she'd make it up to him later one way or another, whether that was by her cooking him his favourite foods, or by giving him intimacy. Either way, he was down!

He knew deep down his wife was proud of him, even though he slacked off sometimes or trained out on the farm instead of actually farming. He knew his wife knew, no matter how much he bullshitted and babbled that he was working, she wasn't stupid and knew him too well. But, she'd let it go for the most part, knowing he'd work extra hard the next day to make it up to her.

It meant the world to her, him having a job. For her, it was independence and normality. Something they'd never really had, with all his battles and absences. And it made her so happy, which in turn made him happy. Even if he did just want to goof off sometimes. His wife's happiness won him over.

"Goku, look at how well they've grown" he suddenly heard his little wife say. He let his scarf hang loosely around his neck and ambled over to her and bent down to sit on his heels as he observed the freshly picked radish in her hands.

"They turned out even better this time! Just look at the size of this one!" she gleamed.

"Looks real yummy" Goku commented.

"You've done so good, Goku" she softly told him, her eyes meeting his.

"Aw, i didn' do all this by myself, y'know" he reminded her.

"I know" she cheeped proudly, making him chuckle, "but you did do most of the heavy labour" she pointed out.

"I guess so" he shrugged.

"I know you weren't sold on the idea of farming, but you're a natural! You really put a lot of love and effort into it, so thank you" she sweetly told him.

"It's ok. I like bein' outdoors, it's better than wearin' a stuffy suit guardin' some rich guy's door" he frowned, remembering how awful that job was. He only lasted a couple of hours and he took off. Chichi rolled her eyes.

"Well, anyway, this obviously suits you well and you're doing a great job" she told him, patting his knee. She reached behind her and dropped the radish into her basket.

"Heh, I know I moan 'bout it, but it's not so bad" he admitted to her.

"Is that so" she chuckled.

"I like makin' ya happy, Chichi" he told her gently, the sweetest most handsome smile on his face, making her heart race.

"Oh, stop" she slapped him playfully on his bulging bicep, "You just get on with it so I don't nag you and so I cook you nice food"

"Well, ye" he admitted with a chuckle, scratching the side of his face, "but I like seein' ya smile". Chichi blushed at his sweet words. He wasn't really the romantic type, it was gestures more than words with her husband. So, when he did make comments like that to her, she savoured every single word.

"Oh, honey" she quietly gushed, peering down at the ground, giddy like a little school girl. Goku grinned bashfully.

"So, what ya gonna make tonight with these?" he changed the subject, pulling up a radish himself.

"Honestly, straight back to your stomach" she giggled, "Hmm, how about one of your favourites?" she suggested with a cheeky smile.

"Oooh, Daikon ramen with pork? Oooh, oooh! Or those delicious burritos you made?" Goku exclaimed, his eyes sparkling like an excited little child. Chichi giggled at his childish antics.

"How about both?" she cooed, poking his nose playfully. Goku had a far off, dreamy look on his face as his little wife continued to pluck the radishes from the ground.

"Mmm, you're the best, Chichi! You're too good to me" he told her.

"It's the least I can do for all your hard work"

"Our hard work" he reminded her, poking her in her side, making her yelp out with laughter.

"Okay, okay, our hard work"

"So, what can I do for you?" Goku wondered, yanking up the biggest radish so far and dumping it into her basket.

"Oh, honey, you don't need to do anything for me. Just doing all of this is enough" she assured him gratefully.

"Not even a kiss?" he batted his eyelashes at her, making her laugh.

"Well" she started, turning to face him and taking hold of his scarf to wipe the dirt from his cheek, "I'm not gonna say no to that" she gently spoke, before taking both ends of his scarf and gently pulling him towards her, her lips softly pressing against his. Goku hummed contently at the feel of her soft, supple lips against his, his right hand coming up to cup her cheek, his thumb grazing the side of her face with gentle caresses.

Chichi found herself melting against him as his other hand travelled to her back, pressing her firmly against him, making the kiss deeper. She lightly moaned when the kiss intensified, his sweet pecks slowly coaxing her to open her mouth to him, where his tongue sensually slipped inside to taste her. Her hands threaded his wild, thick hair as their tongues intertwined, his little purr starting up deep in his chest, his both hands now pressing against her back, encasing her in his large, muscular embrace.

She gave him two more soft kisses, before pulling back from his lips, his nose gently nuzzling hers as his strong chest continued with it's little rumble. As he held her in his arms, his lips found their way to her forehead, where he planted a small, soft kiss to her temple.

"Love you" he whispered to her.

"I love you, too" she whispered back, the biggest smile on her face as he gave her another sweet kiss to her forehead.

"Bet'cha I can pick more radishes than you in 5 minutes!" Goku suddenly teased, wiggling his eyebrows at her.

"Oh, ya think so?" she countered, smirking at him.

"Yup, ain't no way you can beat me" he smugly stuck his nose up at her.

"Listen, just 'cause you're a Super Saiyan, doesn't mean I can't beat you. I'm good with my hands" she taunted him. She caught a glint of naughtiness in his eyes, and it brought a slight blush to her face.

"Don't be so crude" she told him after clearing her throat.

"I dunno what ya mean" he replied with feigned innocence. She punched his arm, making him lose his balance slightly, his right palm hitting the ground to stop himself from falling. Chichi took his moment of weakness to her advantage and quickly began ripping the radishes from the ground.

"Hey! Ya cheater!" Goku accused, before scrambling to his knees and hastily picking the radishes alongside her. From the corner of his eye he could see the determination on his wife's face, her tongue sticking out in concentration as she rapidly ploughed the radishes. And he couldn't help but adore it.

Chichi was on a mission! She was not going to lose to that Saiyan husband of hers! At least, not that easily! She was gonna give it everything she had!

Funny thing was, her big, loveable, goofball of a husband was always gonna let her win anyway.

As he always did.

He did say he liked making her happy.
