After that talk with Namor, Niecalli has been very diligent with her training. Each of them, Namora, Namor and Attuma would assess her skill before she is free to explore the surface for experience, as she puts it.
In the shallow waters of the ocean, she stands with Namora for an evaluation to see if she is good enough to pass her training.
"Show me what you can do."
Niecalli rubs her hands together and takes a deep breath as she steels herself from her nervousness. It is the same dolphin as before. They have spent so much time with each other that their bond has grown through the weeks. She looks the dolphin in the eye and intends it. The dolphin swims away and leaps gracefully in the air before it falls back in the water.
"You can do better than that." Namora stares at her.
"Oh we're not done yet." Niecalli replies excitedly.
The dolphin leaps in the air again and spins twice as it drops back to the ocean. After the spin, it rises from the waters and "walks" on the surface by wagging its tail as it claps its fins. Well, it shakes its fins instead of clapping.
"Ok that's enough. Stop making it do tricks. That's unbecoming of such intelligent creatures!" Namora hisses.
"Come on" Niecalli whines as she extends the 'on.' "You haven't seen our best trick yet." She smirks mischievously. She extends her arms above her head and made a circle with them as a makeshift hoop.
"Don't you dare."
"JUMP!"
The dolphin leaps through her arms with perfect form.
Namora seethes while she stares at Niecalli. It is highly inappropriate for a warrior of her standing and for a companion of its intellect. Although, as unorthodox as their performance is, it showcases her skill and control. At present, Namora begrudgingly considers her an expert at communing with animals.
Pass.
Niecalli stares at Namora.
"Our people are free to choose whatever sea animal they would like to commune with right?"
"Yes. The usual are whales and dolphins since that's what we have already tamed and others don't really want the trouble of getting their own." Namora explains. "Why? What do you have in mind?"
"Can I get an orca?"
