After so many months of Niecalli's lack of progress regarding her water-bending skills, Namor finally feels pity for the girl and decides to give her some ideas. Do not get it wrong, she is an expert in moving water around, she just has not thought of a way to attack yet.
Namor explains how, above ground, there is a weapon called a gun. Apparently, when the propellant of the bullet is ignited, the bullet is launched at high speed which causes a lot of damage. Although bullets can not kill them, it still hurts when they are hit. 'Use the same idea but make it stronger' is what he said because bullets are technically useless to their race.
Niecalli has only ever seen surface people once and they use shovels as weapons. So, she does not know what a gun is or what bullets are. While Namor is explaining the concept, Niecalli stares at him with her mouth hanging open and her eyes staring blankly at him, muttering uh-huh's and yes's every now and then.
"You don't understand a word I'm saying do you?"
"Not at all." Niecalli says with a shake of her head.
"Come. It's better if you do it than think it. You learn better hands-on."
They swim out into a large, open space and start practicing.
"Your water does not hurt because it breaks the moment it hits something solid." Namor explains. "You might need to use high pressurized water to do it."
Niecalli blankly gapes Namor again. "Brother, you forget that I'm still young. Please speak a language I understand."
She holds herself in silence for a moment and asks, "How do you make high pressurized water? Whatever that is."
"You can try squeezing an incredibly large amount of water into a small space. The smaller the space and the more water is in it, the more solid your water balls will be."
Niecalli nods her head. She faces her palms to each other and starts squeezing gallons and gallons of water in between her hands, compacting them into a small ball. She stares at the water forming between her hands in concentration, sweat beading down her forehead.
"Make sure you keep squeezing. Because when the pressure keeping it together disappears, the water will force itself out and expl-"
BOOM!
Fail.
