Chapter 19

"I was in King's Cross, but it was empty and there was so much light.

There was this weird blob thing underneath a bench, it was creeping me out and I was confused.

Mum and dad came out of nowhere and sat down next to me." Harry had started explaining what happened to him while he was "dead", everyone had sat down to have a cup of tea, or a strong glass of firewhiskey depending.

Sirius and Remus had both started quietly crying at that declaration and Hermione put her head on Harry's shoulder.

"They said the blob was the piece of soul Dumbledore left into me, then mum started to rant about him, and secrets keepers and Pettigrew being a rat until dad stopped her and they hugged me for a while.

I thought I was dead and that was it.

I wanted to stay with them."

Severus had a lone tear and was holding Remus' hand in his with Harry continued talking.

"They said it was my choice. I could stay, with them forever. Or I could choose to come back.

I thought about staying, I really wanted to stay with them longer.

But Dumbledore is still out there doing who knows what, and I have Sirius, and Remus, and Hermione.

I couldn't stay." Harry ended, looking intently at his cup of tea.

"I think I'd like to know exactly what happened when they died, besides Dumbledore's soul piece." Harry stated a few hours later.

"There was a prophecy," Severus started, "about a boy born in July able to defeat the Dark Lord, Voldemort's name wasn't stated, just "Dark Lord", it was either you or Neville Longbottom."

Sirius picked up the story, "They both went into hiding, under the Fidelius Charm. I was Lily and James' secret keeper at first, but I thought it was too obvious so we chose to switch to Peter." he closed his eyes, remembering the pain. "I came to Godric's Hollow as soon as I could but Hagrid was already there, under Dumbledore's orders and took you away.

I'm sorry Harry, I felt... destroyed, I was in a rage when I realised Peter was the only one who could have betrayed them so I went after him.

You know what happened next of course. Dumbledore did the Fidelius himself, so he knew Peter had given out the secret.

Of course, we know now Peter gave the secret to Dumbledore himself."

Remus went on, "We've never been sure if Peter truly believes Voldemort is this blood purity dark lord and chose to betray us for him, or if he knew what Dumbledore was really up to and believed in him over his friendship with us."

Hermione snorted, "I'm sorry, I know he was one of your best friends, but he's a rat animagus... The subtlety of it is not lost on me."

"Sure and what animagus are you then, oh goddess of insights?" Sirius replied in jest.

"A raven." Hermione said.

Sirius spluttered, "Nevermind then."

"Anyway, back on topic." Tom stated sternly.

"We don't know if the prophecy was real and therefore the mentioned Dark Lord applies to Dumbledore masquerading as Voldemort, or if it was made up.

The prophecy was made to Dumbledore by Trelawney." Tom picked up the story, ignoring Hermione's snort at the Divination professor mention.

"I overheard the prophecy, because Voldemort asked me to be at the Hog's Head that night, which leads me to believe Dumbledore planned the whole thing." Severus continued.

"Dumbledore engineered the whole thing to kill the Potters', creating a chosen one that defeated his enemy, therefore putting himself in a position to mentor Harry, and from everything he's done so far... I believe he may be trying to have Harry killed as some kind of martyr, then Dumbledore will finish Voldemort himself, being a hero once more while avenging Harry's death." Tom concluded.

"What about you? He started the whole Voldemort thing in the seventies to drown out what you were campaigning for." Severus asked.

Tom smirked, "Albus doesn't know I'm back yet, he didn't realise I was close to the Flamels' when he killed me, and what that meant.

He truly believed I was dead back then, he's not expecting for me to turn up, getting rid of me made using my name for Voldemort much easier.

He stole the stone a few years ago in some kind of weird provocation but I didn't need it to come back.

We have the element of surprise. He thinks we're all playing his game, but he doesn't realise the game has changed."

"Right, so the plans are still the same. Reputation first, as we've been doing for a while, and when there's no come back from it we'll go for the kill." Severus stated.

"What happens next?" Harry asked timidly, not being in the loop as to what the mentioned plans were exactly.

Tom started smiling softly at Harry, "What I started in the seventies, the complete political Revolution of Wizarding Britain."
