Almost two hours later Aileen approached the first group of ten newly deneuralized former agents, who were gathered in a cluster, looking in in shock at the sea of cots filling the main room.

"As you can see, we have more than a bit of a situation here." Aileen started her welcome back speech. "All of you were MIB for years, you helped to save the planet too many times to be counted, and you were all enjoying a retirement that you had more than earned when I had you called back. We're still trying to work out how it happened, but everyone except Agent X and the worms were poisoned several days ago, and are currently unconscious. We have Jeedangian peacekeepers here filling in, but we need any additional help we can get. There have been prisoners who have escaped, every sort of criminal running loose on the streets and slowly spreading out into other areas, and of course there's the poisoning that started it all. You've all served this planet with distinction and you've more than earned a peaceful retirement, but I'm asking you to step up again, to help the MIB and this planet. We need your help."

"I can't speak for anyone else, but you have my help." Agent D said as he stepped forward. " I know I can't handle fieldwork anymore. That's a major reason I retired, but whatever I can do in headquarters, I'll do it. Just tell me what you need, Aileen."

"Thank you. Thank all of you." Aileen said as she saw the other nine former agents nod in agreement with what D had said. "As for what you can do, we have prisoners need processed, we have security that somehow needs to be maintained, and of course we need to figure out how this entire situation happened to begin with. The Jeedangian peacekeepers who volunteered to help us are doing an excellent job. We've been able to get any number of lower level threats and several major ones off the streets thanks to them. It's the first time on Earth for them, though, so any experience you can offer them will be a big asset. Right now all we've been able to focus on is to get criminals off the streets as fast as we can. We don't have the personal to handle anything like cleanup or repairing damage. Luckily, it seems like the humans don't seem suspect any sort of alien causes for what's going on so far, so we've gotten very lucky there. Anyone who has experience with tech and the cleanup aspect of things, we could especially use assistance with that. Some of the resident aliens came to headquarters when the chaos started, and a group of them with tech experience offered their assistance with trying to fix at least minor damages. If some of you could touch base with them and offer what help you can, that would really be a big help. If we can figure a way to keep things like the transit system halfway functional, it will go a long way towards keeping things under control as far as people finding out the truth about aliens goes. You were agents for a long time. I'm sure you know what your strengths are."

"I know a lot about cleaning up." One of the retirees offered. "We're not going to be able to do a whole lot without more people, but I can talk to any aliens who're willing to offer help to see what we can figure out. If nothing else, I'm pretty sure where to find all of the decoys to fill in if any major landmarks get stolen."

"I can take over processing the prisoners." Another of the retirees offered. "Hopefully the system hasn't changed too much."

"Zed did update things after a breakout a few years ago." Aileen said. "He seperated the levels to try to prevent a recurrence, which thankfully seems to have worked. Other than that, things should be the same. I imagine the forms definitely are."

"One thing that never changes." D said with a shake of his head. The other retired agents chatted amongst themselves for a few moments before dividing up and heading off to where they thought they could best help as D followed Aileen. "How bad are things as far as the agents? Were there any…."

"Fatalities? Thankfully, no fatalities." Aileen said. "Agent X and the worms were out of the building on a grocery run when the poisoning happened. X is actually Jeedangian, the first alien field agent. And he has a cousin who's a nurse with experience in disasters and emergencies. She was able to walk him through mixing up something to bind the poison. Between that and X bringing in a human doctor, everyone was able to hold on until we could get here with more help. At the moment, medically, everyone's stable and it looks like it's just a matter of keeping them sleeping and comfortable until the poison gets through their systems."

"What about Kay?" D asked.

"You know Kay." Aileen said with a shake of her head. "We think he might have gotten a larger dose of the poison to begin with, and even as sick as he was and unconscious, he was trying to fight to get on his feet. Something very good for an agent, but not great as far as his health goes. They had a nightmare of a time trying to get him halfway stable. I think it helped when I was able to get here and talk to him, to tell him that there was someone to take care of things so he could rest."

"He is more than a bit stubborn." D said. "Is the partner he has now good?"

"Jay's good. Jay's unique, but Jay's good." Aileen said with a slight smile. "I like him, and he would do anything for Kay." She didn't even want to imagine how Jay was going to take finding out what had happened, and knowing the younger agent's capacity to bounce back quickly, why did she have a feeling he would be amongst the first to start recovering?

"I'm glad to hear that." D said. "I look forward to meeting him. And I'm definitely glad to see you again. I'm sure having you here has helped Kay."

"He did seem to relax after I talked to him. There is one thing maybe you can give me some advice on. We do need more people in the field and…."

"Kay's brother? You're thinking of calling him in?" D asked.

"Chasing fugitives is what he does and he is very good at it from what Kay says." Aileen said. "And with them being identical twins…."

"If people saw him, they might believe Kay and the MIB are back." D finished the sentence.

"The only thing that worries me is that he doesn't have the degree of training that Kay does. If he was mistaken for Kay by someone like Alpha…."

"Alpha, if he's back, he knows about Kay's brother and either knows where to find him or has a pretty good idea." D said. "Alpha is back?"

Aileen nodded. "He has been for awhile. And with a major grudge against Kay."

"Bring his brother in." D said. "If Alpha's back and hasn't gone after him before, he will eventually. He'll be safer here, no matter how much chaos is going on. Let him know the situation with Alpha and about his brother. He won't be worried about his own safety from what I remember of what Kay said, but helping his brother and catching all of the fugitives, I would bet good money that Sam will be more than willing to do that."

"Okay, so I need to figure out how to get a US Marshal from Chicago to New York." Aileen said. "And…."

"I can take over looking into how this happened." D offered. "Who should I talk to?"

"Actually, I think Agent X's mom Zoe, would be best, believe it or not. A bunch of Agent X's relatives tagged along with the medical personnel and the peacekeepers. They've been helping out with tending the sick agents and generally just being overall helpful. And Zoe hooked up with Agent Elle's mother to come up with some ideas about the poison. They might be a good place to start. Just ask any Jeedangian. They'll be happy to point her out."
