"Mhm. This is the place." Mako said, taking a stand as she and the pair of clients took a stand in front of the weirdly large when up-close mini-mountain. "Magnemite, Dwebble, please call for whoever wants."
"Brrr!"/"Dwebb!" Both Pokemon called, quickly earning a whole square group of twelve or so candidates.
"Now that is a lot of Pokemon." Roark commented, before his eyes noticed something odd. "Hmm... A Bonsly?" He asked, noticing legged version of club and bonsai tree hybrid.
"Yes, he is apparently a Rock type." Mako commented, before Pokemon in question pulled out a small peeble out of nowhere and grabbed it with his head. "In fact, he even knows Rock Throw." She added, taking a step to the left and dodging the thrown projectile. "Yeah, he tries too hard."
"I think one of my students at the gym can use him." Roark smiled, looking down at him with a smile. "Say buddy, wanna join me?"
"Bonsly!" Brown Pokemon cried out, jumping forward up to his legs.
"Now, that is a fine attitude." Byron commented, before noticing a pair of clawed arms with eyes on the palms sliding down the hill to join. "And that is a Pokemon I never seen."
"Not suprising, it's from Kalos after all." Mako responded. "This one is called Binacle, a Rock-Water type Pokemon that consists of two sentient claws cooperating inside one rock." She added, seeling a trail of rocks and coming to a standstill behind the gray rock with orange-white arms. "He also seems to know Rock Slide."
"Sounds fairly strong." Roark nodded with a smirk. "Truth be told, one of my students could use an example of cooperation."
"Do you think what I think?" Byron asked, giving him a confident glare.
"I think I do." Roark nodded, then turning his face back to the newcomer. "Say, you two want to join?"
"... Bin." Right claw responded firmly.
"Acle?" Second one asked it, turning right for eye contact.
"Acle, acle."
"...Mhm."
"... So?" Roark asked, to which both claws turned towards him and nodded lightly.
"... I think we can take it as a yes." Mako commented, mildly frustrated on the inside at ammount of courtesy and time needed to do this stuff.
"Great! Up you go then." He added, taking out two pokeballs and throwing them forward at the two (Three?) new friends, quickly having the balls bounce off of them and open mid-air, pulling the creatures inside with pink mist surrounding the two.
"M-hm." Mako nodded, watching as the balls fell down, twicth three times with central button briefly turning red after every time before coming to a standstill and spewing five-armed yellow stars around them. "The deal with you is settled. And you?" She asked, turning her attention to Byron.
"Hmm... I think these two are cute." He responded, pointing forward at the pair of small, orange-ish mini elephants with green upper surface, back and further halfs of their trunks that curved down into triangular end like a mix between spoon and shovel. "I just hope they are still a Steel Type so I can keep them at the gym..."
"They are pure Steel, apparently." Mako added, sounding like a patient teacher who gave a short lecture to not really listening students. "These two are Cufants, heavly present in Galar and Paldea Pokemon known for their strenght and generally docile nature." Mako added. "In fact, from what the report shows..." She paused, quickly looking into her phone and then on a long note flying-by Pidgey gave to her. "... Sushil was hoping to give them out soon given their evolution's size."
"Would you look at that." Byron commented with a remark-worthy smile. "I bet he also made a promotion on them."
"Sure he did." Mako added, quickly taking out two blue CD disks with orange trinagles at opposite ends. "They come with Outrage TM for both of them, their evolved version can apparently learn this move."
"Outrage?" Roark asked, almost gulping. "That's a Dragon move!"
"Dragon, huh?" Byron asked, before shaking his head. "I'll take them gladly..." He paused, before turning his head towards the two. "What do you say, baby Dragons?"
"*Collective sound of trunks letting out a happy horn*"
"That makes two." Byron smiled, taking out two pokeballs from back pocket and placing them on the ground. "Also, where is the purchase station for formalities?"
"Huh, thought it would be colder up here." Sushil commented out loud from undeneath his knee-lenghted green winter jacket as he and accompanying Leavanny walked up the snowy hill, having a nice view to the grey mountains with various pieces of snow here and there to the right and deep vally composed of near straight cliffs to the left. "Then again, that speaks of quality staff you all make."
"Hmph." Nurturing Pokemon smiled, shrugging her arms before placing additional leave in between the stitches on the back.
"Come on now, your Badlandian Bug buds also have some credit to it." Sushil said in remarkeful tone. "Why else do you think I brought so many of them today? For longer business trips I only take the trusted individuals, friendship alone doesn't cut it for me at this level."
"There you are." Cold, serious tone sounded just after he ended his sentence.
"Safety first?" Sushil excused himself, as he and Leavanny stopped and looked up to the fairly close top of the mountain, where they saw a head with bright blue hair and scarf painted in deep: blue-red-blue horizontal stripes over the mouth and neck.
"... Always." The person responded with sorrowful tone. "Now, come up there."
"Gotcha." Sushil nodded before he and Leavanny walked up to the top in no time. "Just so you know already, I'm not here for a gym challenge."
"Good for you." The person responded, correcting it's yellow winter jacket and dusting off bright blue pants with a help of deep blue ski gloves. "I'm not in a mood."
"Can't blame you." Sushil nodded lightly. "This time, I prepared myself before taking your time."
"Oh, so you know..."
"Dude, sports media were in overdrive when you retired." Sushil pointed out, making him look up from the snowy ground while himself walking past him with widely spread arms. "I know that ninety-nine precent of people here give no damns about winter sports, but articles still remain available in public." He continued, turning around with a quick spin that threw some snow around him. "Besides, what did I tell you about my research?"
"Egh... Fiiine." The welcomer groaned, before giving him a sad side glare. "I just... I just don't wanna lose the Gym. Like, what else do I have in life?"
"Ever thought of gaining something?" Sushil asked him with confused stare.
"... What?" Reluctant response came.
"I mean, that's why I'm here." Sushil began to explain. "To give you a choice, of sorts."
"Oh really?" The other man responded, taking few looks around as to make sure no one was around. "I'm listening."
"Say, ditch this Gym life, take all you care and want, and come with me to my Pokemon House in Sinnoh."
"... That's rich coming from you."
"That's the point." Sushil smiled, making a winky face and moving his arms to the side in punny gesture. "You want my rich talk or Geeta's rich talk?" He asked, as Leavanny suddenly turned around and looked into the distance.
"..." The local person didn't respond at first, instead focusing on Leavanny's sudden move. "We need to go." He said shortly.
"Leavanny!" Sushil called, waving his arm for her to come over. "Gotcha, name's Sushil." He added as the trio quickly departed further towards five-store building with Pokemon League logo on it.
"Grusha." The other one responded quickly, running ahead as he picked up the pace with winter-adjusted boots. "Can't pick up?" He asked after few seconds of running.
"No need to." Sushil smiled, as he and Leavanny all of a sudden turned around with confident faces. "Stay back, G. All you gotta do is accept my deal."
"... If you want me so badly." Grusha began, also turning around as they saw a large black helicopter slowly and carefully descending from the cloudy sky above them. "Show me you got what it takes-."
"Nuh-uh-uh." Sushil waved his finger as he interruped him, slowly being overshouted by closer and closer rotor blades. "Me and my Pokemon will!"
Further sounds of landing helicopter*
"Hmpfffh." Sushil sniffed, taking two steps back as the air pressure pushed him backwards from helicopter that just happen to be landing on the snowy path they just stood on a minute ago.
"Hn!" Leavanny narrowed her eyes, jabbing both arms into the snow and crouching down to at least hold the ground against the push force.
"You're way tougher than me, huh?" Sushil asked, closing his eyes for a moment as some snow narrowly flew past his head. "I gotta admire that!"
"..." Grusha remained in silent focus, watching with his narrow bright blue eyes as the helicopter eventually landed at 45-degree angle right on a middle of the road, cockpit pointed towards adjacent rectangular gym arena. "There she comes." He added as the side doors opened and a tall, slick, stick bug-like figure in a formal suit walked out of the passenger cabin.
"Hello to you." The person responded in gentle, feminine tone as the rest of the body pulled out of the machine. "I am Geeta, Paldea'a Top Champion and Chairwoman of Paldea'a Pokemon League." She added in presenting manner, revealing her dark-skinned face, blue eyes with yellow centers and long, black hair while also showing off deep blue gloved with golden compass on hand's outside.
"Business necessity to meet you." Sushil responded with straight face and low-key disrespectful tone. "However, if you hoped for another clean sweep of Ice types, then be disappointed."
"Oh?" Geeta gasped, momentarly covering her mouth in shock. "Such tone... Are you not accusing too much?"
"You placed an Ice gym as the last of most commons eight to complete for challengers." Sushil responded, while his Leavanny took a stand to his right. "However, I have an idea. And I believe Grusha seems to agree with it."
"Is that so?" Geeta asked, then looking past him at approaching man in question. "Grusha, is this true?"
"Yeah." He responded, making one deep inhale-exhale and causing a large stream of steam to come from undeneath his scarf and form into a pokeball. "You can verify whether I am fit to be a Gym Leader or not, but only if you can stop Sushil from taking me away first."
"... Really?" Geeta asked, looking back at the Sushil. "You're challenging me... Over a Gym Leader?"
"What?" Sushil joked, as his Leavanny crossed her arms and briefly made them shine with white light. "You're scared?"
"Not even moved." She responded, correcting the glives with solid pulls towards the rest of the arm. "I am intrested. There is nothing wrong about Pokemon battle with real stakes."
"Then let's get down to the arena already and see who has what." Sushil shrugged his arms before pointing behind himself with a rised thumb. "I wish to see what Top Champion can deliever on a work day. Also, three on three with switches or something else?"
"Ready, set, go!" A man with short brown moustache and stereotypical 'incognito' wear announced, commanding from the side as a judge.
"Espathra! It's your time." Geeta said, raching for her pokeball and throwing if forward.
"As promised, bud." Sushil also spoke up, but to Leavanny which run into the field from his side.
"Krooork!" Geeta's first choice cried out, as the pink mist revealed a fairly tall ostrich with lavender-white skin, wig in a colour of sand and white feathers over the main torse undeneath orange wings.
"All right then! Electroweb!" Sushil shouted, wasting no time as Leavanny fired several lines of electricity from her arms.
"Dodge!" Geeta called out, her Pokemon jumping to the right with no pressure. "Quick Attack!" She added, to which Espathra followed by dashing forward with white outline aroundher body.
"Oh, an approach?" Sushil smiled, watching the opposing Pokemon ram into weirdly stoic Leavany, making both of them slide almost right under Sushil's feet. "Try Struggle Bug for a change." He added with easygoing smile.
"Pfegh!" Leavanny gasped, before her red eyes gained a weird shine and she began to excessively squeeze her opponent on the body.
"Espathra! Lumina Crash!" Geeta ordered, extending her left arm forward."
"Tra!" Her Pokemon responded, creating a purple hexagon between her and Leavanny's heads before sending it forward with a headbutt.
"Whoa!" Sushil jumped backwards, seeing how Leavanny was pushed flat onto the ground under pressure. "Fell Stinger!" He followed, moving an open palm of his hand in chopping motion.
"Leav!" Leavanny reacted, suddenly jabbing one of her leafy arms into the exposed belly of Espathra.
"Khroakh!"
"Espathra!" Geeta cried out, watching in shock as her Pokemon jumped up into the air and then flew a bit backwardswith steepe breath.
"You alright, Leavanny?" Sushil asked, running up to the line to check on his friend.
"Ehh... Hyeghhh... Leav... Anny." His Pokemon responded, standing back up after two heavy breaths on her own.
"Don't you wanna rest a little?" He asked her, recieving two sideways shakes of the head as she focused back on the opponent, who was already hopping from leg to leg within central circle of the arena. "Fine then, cuz' I have a plan."
"Ready?" Geeta asked from the other end.
"Ready!" Sushil answered with enthusiasm.
"Then get ready you two, Dazzling Gleam!" Paldea's Top Champion shouted, rising her left hand as Espathra blow up with a sphere of flashing lights.
"Electroweb!" Sushil commanded, covering eyes with his arm.
"Hoooaaah!" Leavanny cried out with fighting spirit, leaping forward and throwing electircal webbing with closed eyes.
BOOM!*
"Ouch..." Sushil sniffed, slowly moving the arm out of the face to see his Leavanny standing still with crossed arms. "How's the weather over there?" He asked.
"Hmph, Leavanny." Pokemon said her name before stepping aside and presenting to him Espathra struggling to fly away from the electrical web that tangled her legs.
"Awesome! Now Fell Stinger, quick!"
"Espathra, Reflect!" Geeta ordered from behind, to which her Pokemon obeyed by summoning a wall of pink light before itself.
"Oooh?" Leavanny gasped, taking a curious stand right before the wall and looking over it while Espathra tried to cut the web with it's beak.
"Just swing around." Sushil commanded with slight annoyance.
"Ha!" Leavanny let out a happy gasp, making a low swing to the left that narrowly went around the wall.
"Espathra!" Geeta shouted, realising what was about to happen.
"TRAAAAA!" Her Pokemon cried, being heavly jabbed in the right side and toppling her down to the ground in no time.
"... Espathra has been knocked out!" Judge commented, seeing from the side how Espathra's closed eyes turned into black spiral.
"Nice job!" Sushil congratulated from his position.
"You have done well." Geeta commented, taking Espathra back into the pokeball before switching to another one. "Gogoat, I believe in you." She said to the next one, before releasing goat-like pokemon with white, green and brown fur the further it went from his face.
"Well, too bad!" Sushil smiled, seeing his Leavanny take low fighting stance and wiggle in slow, controlled manner. "Fell Stinger grants a drastic attack boost for every enemy defeated with it."
"So this is why you waited so long with it." Geeta commented. "Very well then. Gogoat, Bulk Up!"
"Bwaaah!" Her Pokemon responded, tensing muscles all over his body before bulking them up in literal gum-like fashion.
"Alright then." Sushil nodded with a slight smile. "Leavanny, Fell Stinger." He added with a wink.
"Leavanny." His Pokemon nodded, quickly rushing forward with both arms gaining a green shine at the tips.
"Gogoat, Play Rough!" Geeta countered with her own command.
"Geee!" Her Pokemon geeked, rushing forward with lowered head and making a well-timed jump high into the air.
"Fine then, Return!" Sushil shouted.
"Leava!" Leavanny yelped with a smile, suddenly looking up and jumping straight towards Gogoat like a missile.
"Turn around!" Geeta commanded, making her Pokemon turn around and prepare his horns for contact.
"Grab the horns!" Sushil ordered aswell.
"Hm!"
"What!" Geeta gulped, seeing how Leavanny used the cuts in her arms to swing around Gogoat and deliever a solid knee smack into the side.
"Gbwaaa!" Gogoat cried out, going off course and hitting the arena, then sliding across it up to the Geeta's half of the ring.
"Truth be told, I didn't thought this would work." Sushil commented, while Leavanny landed back on the ground and stood up from a crouch. "Makes me wonder how you fell for it to begin with."
"You seem to raise your Pokemon well. Return is a very rare move." Geeta responded, as she extended her pokeball and retrived Gogoat back inside. "Thank you for the assistance." She said to the ball before switching to the next one.
"Alright." Sushil commented, seeing Leavanny turn around to face him. "You did well out there, but others wanna have fun too." He added, taking out his pokeball and taking her in. "Thanks for the fight tho."
"Ready for the second round?" Geeta asked him, throwing another pokeball up and down.
"Wouldn't dare to say 'No' now!" Sushil grinned, making his own switch.
"Three, two, one..." The judge counted on the side. "Release!"
"Rise and shine, Avalugg!"/"Break the lock, Wheezmet!" Both of them shouted, throwing out a moving glacier and upside-down bucket with eyes.
"Avalugg!/"Hhhjrrrhhehr-AAAK!!"
"Is he... Alright?" Geeta asked, tilting her head as she stared at the shaking, wheezing pokemon her opponent threw in.
"It's a spiecies thing." Sushil explained calmly. "Badlandian Pokemon tend to be a different breed of sorts when compared to other regions."
"My apologies then." Geeta smiled, before moving open pal of her hand forward. "Body Press!" She commanded.
"AaawaalUUUGG!" The Pokemon roared, jumping up into the air and spreading all four chunky legs widely.
"Hyper Voice! Quickly!" Sushil countered, pointing upwards, Michael Jackson style.
"AAAAAAAAAAK!" Wheezmet screamed, momentarly rising it's front up as the soundwave set Avalugg off course and back on the ground.
"Ugh..." Geeta groaned, covering her eyes from a snowy dust after her Pokemon crashed down onto the arena. "Avalugg, try Earthquake!"
"Aaaluuu..." Ice Pokemon growled, rising forward pair of her legs into the air.
"Parting Shot!" Sushil countered, making a finger gun and pointing it forward.
"KAAAARK! HHHEEHHHYHYHH..." Wheezmet screamed, then wheezed before turning pink and returning into the pokeball at Sushil's side.
"... UuuUGGGG!" Avalugg ended her growl, smashing the ground in front just a second too late as shaking, vibrations and cracks on the arena came one after another.
"Whoa!" Sushil gasped, taking two steps backs as the surface he stood one seemed to move everywhere at once. "You have guts to risk crushing arena on a side of the mountain... Gotta respect that." He added, as another flash of pink mist came from his another pokeball and revealed a flat, fish-like being with bronze skin covered in winkdings. "But we have much, much more to offer."
"Oh? And who is that?" Geeta asked, pointing at his new choice. "I heard about Pokemon species called Stunfisk, but I never seen one like this."
"This is Badlandian Stunfisk, popular choice amongst local professors for newbie trainers." Sushil shrugged his arms, as his fish carefully took its flat stand right in a middle of cracked arena. "Either way, he's not one to mess with!"
"Don't get too overconfident." Geeta responded calmly. "Avalugg, Body Press!"
"Luuugggg!" Iceberg Pokemon roared, suddenly leaping into the air and spreading it's arms widely as she headed towards opposition.
"Spiky Shield, quickly!" Sushil ordered as he pushed the air befire him with open hand.
"Stun, stun..." Stunfisk nodded, suddenly growing a whole wall of spikes over it's body and preparing for impact.
"Here it comes!" Sushil commented, jumping backwards as Avalugg crashed down straight on top of Stunfisk.
"TFRAAA!" Painful scream cut the air just before a wave of snowy dust rushed in all directions, forcing Sushil to cover his eyes again after barely landing on solid ground.
"Avalugg!" Geeta exclaimed, yanking her upper body forward as her living glacier bounced back into the air and then crushed down on the arena ground, sliding back to her with a trail of snow and dust in froin of her face.
"Stunfisk, you still alive bud?" Sushil asked, running up to the white line that stated the arena's border.
"Stuuu..." On-land flatfish said slowly, turning around to face him before falling down onto the ground and closing it's eyes, which quickly turned into spirlas.
"Stunfisk has been knocked out!" Judge announced quickly, seeing it happen from the side. "And..." He continued in unnerving way, turning towards Avalugg that wasn't even trying to stand up. "Avalugg is..."
"Ava... Uggg..."
"Unable to battle!" Quick conclusion came, right after which Glacier Pokemons' legs gave up and spread widely to the sides.
"Wow, can't believe that worked." Sushil commented, taking out his pokeball and retriving Stunfisk back in. "Thanks for the sacrifice."
"Thank you for the assistance." Geeta smiled, also taking her Pokemon back in. "I need you now, Gogoat."
"Shock and ave, Wheezmet!" Sushil shouted, as both of them threw their partners back in the field.
"Gogoo!"/"Heehwhehehw!"
"Gogoat! Horn Leech!" Geeta ordered without wasting time.
"Geee!" Pokemon responded, lowering his head and letting his horns shine with bright-green clolour.
"Bug Buzz!" Sushil grinned, pointing his index finger forward as Wheezmet began to shake in place.
"Gwa!" Gogoat cried out, being first to launch his attack as two green beams fired from his horns.
"Use it on the ground!" Sushil suddenly commanded.
"Wha-!"
"UWAAAAAA!" Wheezemet screamed downwards, causing cracks in the floor to suddenly expand and throw some ground into the air.
"A shield?" Geeta asked, starring with impressed face as Gogoat's beams were pierced throu the ground on their way and narrowly missed Wheezemet.
"AAAK!" Small Pokemon cried out, jumping down into the crack before himself and disappearing from the view.
"That was unexpected..." Sushil commented, lookind down with concern for a moment before a smile appeared again on his face. "But that actually helps me a bit."
"Oh, really?" Geeta asked him, giving him an intrigued glare.
"Of course. Already forgot what I just did?"He asked her with a smile before quickly crouching down and placing his hands together around the mouth. "Wheezemet! If you can hear me, give me the strongest Hyper Voice!"
"Hmm... That's clever." Geeta commented, clapping her hands in polite, overly sterilized way. "But maybe we should look down for him..."
"Aaa..."
"... First..." She ended the sentence with akward realisation as the ground beneath them began to shake.
"Aaaaa!... AAAA!..." Briefly cominng screams came to the ears of everyone present, sometimes silenced down by falling ground and crumbling arena ground.
"is it still safe?" Sushil asked the judge, slightly worried over what he had done.
"They are designed to withstand that." Referee responded firmly. "The match still continues."
"WHEEEEEE!" Triumphant scream escaped the arena as the middle of it bursted upward aand revealed Wheezmet jumping up with passion-filled eyes.
"There you are!" Sushil smiled, looking up at the flying bucket which began to turn it's vertical speed for horizontal one.
"Gogoat!" Geeta shouted, seeing her Pokemon carefully stay around various cracks and unstable ground as he starred up at incoming bucket. "Use Zen Headbutt!"
"Gogoat!" Pokemon cried out his name, jumping up towards Wheezmet as his horns turned blue and began to shine.
"Wheezmet! Use..." Sushil also gave order, but stopped as he saw Wheezmet turn the top of his bucket towards incoming Gogoat. "... Use Iron Head?" He asked, to which the end top of Wheezmet gained jagged shiny pattern all over it.
"Oh." Geeta said with empty tone as she saw both Pokemon collide with a crushing sound of sliding metal. "Psychic isn't effective against Steel." She added, seeing as Gogoat began to fall down first and Wheezmet bounced back, using his two small hands as makeshift stabilizers to avoid landing by painfull fall face-down.
CRACK*
"Oofff..." Sushil whined, seeing Gogoat crashing down on the arena and falling down alongside unstable ground below him.
"Hmm..." Judge hummed, taking out his binoculars and looking down throu them. "Wait a second..." He said, using his left thumb to press a button on the bottom that turned the viewing glasses green and red. "... Gogoat is unable to battle! The win goes to Sushil!"
"Hnh, nice job Wheezmet." Sushil smiled, crouching down to puck up his Pokemon and place him on his right shoulder. "You even learned a new move to come in crutch. Couldn't be prouder of you."
"Such amazing skill and bond..." Geeta nodded, taking out her pokeball and passing it to one of man in black tuxedos that went in to take Gogoat back from destroyed arena grounds while she walked around the arena to meet him halfway throu. "I'm impressed you managed to come as far."
"Proper relations with Pokemon, type advantages, clever tactics and element of luck. Nothing too hard." Sushil summed up, looking at her with satisfied face. "Either way, I think we know the answer to our disagreement."
"Indeed." Geeta nodded, before turning around to see Grusha approach them.
"I do have a question though." By now de facto former Gym Leader said. "Why didn't you use Kingambit or Glimmora?"
"Rotation." She responded swiftly. "Every single one of my Pokemon deserves to show what he, she or it can do."
"Very respectable." Sushil nodded. "It's not about having the best, but doing the best with what you have." He added as he dropped his three remaining pokeballs to reveal Heatmor, Nidoking and Toucannon. "But to be honest, I did expect you to insist on a six v' six match."
"I didn't find it necessary. Besides, you were the one to suggest making it a three on three rather than a full battle." Geeta responded, sounding almost as if she made a remark at the end.
"Right... Point to you on this one." Sushil shrugged his arms, before noticing Grusha crossing his arms behind her. "Either way, please pardon my rushed demeanor, but we gotta go now."
"Understandable." Geeta nodded politely as Grusha walked past her. "I wish you two many successes and friends as you proceed with your journeys."
"Thanks, we're gonna need them either way." Sushil smirked, moving a thumb across the nose in a most feisty way known to man before Grusha dragged him down the road alongside the rest of his team. "You could just tell me to hurry." He said with slight annoyance.
"As if you didn't yourself already." Grusha responded annoyed.
"Commander!" Fondue called out, running across the open field under the fairly clear sky and warm sunlight.
"Fondue? What's the matter?" Eclair asked, turning right as her companion stopped and took two deep breaths while rubbing the knees.
"In order to... Strenghten up our... Team... Before next competition... I ordered some market research..." Fondue explained, making many breaks for additional breaths as she revealed her red, sweaty face and fogged up round glasses. "Aaand... The results are phenomenal."
"Oh?" Eclair asked, slightly suprised. "May I see them, please?"
"Of course!" Fondue yelped, showing her the phone screen with what seemed to be a list of online shopping containing many products at somewhat high prices. "It waz all a bargain, I swear!"
"I believe it is, really." Eclair nodded, seeing a large turquoise dusc with red eyes, four massive legs and silver X-pattern as a face flying up to them. "And..." She akwardly paused, seemingly paralyzed at the overly massive sight that took a relaxed stance behind her friend.
"Oh, he?" Fondue asked, briefly looking behind her and giving a backward head pat on the newcomer. "His name is Metagross. I brought him in alongside your Glaceon to help the team make research and improve tactics."
"That's... News to me."
"Don't worry, I was told he is a sort of a pacifist. He won't hurt you." Fondue calmed her down, before she and Metagross made winky faced in a way that was cute and cursed at the same time. "And yes, the orderes on new tanks are all thanks to his hard work."
"Thank you then." Eclair nodded, briefly looking at his curious eyes. "Either way, when can we expect their arrival?"
'Distant' *Wrrrr*
"About now." Fondue responded, not even looking behind her at the transport plane incoming towards the school. "How about we arrive to see them at the Sensha-do grounds?"
"I think this is good idea." Eclair nodded, then turning around as she caught a sound of creaking floorboard.
"Ioou!" Familiar sound came from below as square piece of ground in front of her moved around and revealed Glaceon peeking his head from below.
"There you are, my Ami." She smiled, crouching down and giving him a pat on the head.
"Wait, these aren't only indoors?" Fondue asked, suprised for some reason.
"Of course not!" Eclair laughed her off. "Historical Maginot Line had a lot of underground tunnels across it's lenght. It's obvious that our school also has them all over for less public transportation and messeaging, and Glaceon fits in them beyond perfectly." She added, making two small steps forward to join him down under. "It's my first time inside them myself, want to join?" She asked, turning her body around as she put her legs inside.
"Non, merci." Fondue responded, sitting on top of Metagross with legs curled up under the long skirt. "I'll have my first time flying there to inspect it."
"Fine by me, see you at the place." Eclair nodded before making final drop down into the tunnel before closing the entreance above herself. "Ohh, this has better lamps than my room." She joked, looking around the 1,7 meter tall tunnel with enough dpace for one car to drive throu as she saw endless trails of yellow diodes illuminating mix beige bricks and reinforced steel walls with their lights.
"Glaci!"
"Right, let's go!" She nodded, nodding to reminder of Glaceon as the two began to move forward at steady pace. "I just hope there are direction signs on the way..."
