-September 1st -

"Thank you for showing up today, you two," Mrs. Lin crossed her arms, staring down Khloe and Izzy as they walked into the classroom, seven minutes after the bell rang, sarcasm recognizable in her voice.

"I got caught up handing out invites for my birthday party this weekend and plus we're not even that late," Khloe pouted as she placed her hands on her hips. "I bet that girl with the dreads won't even show up."

"That's where you are wrong, Miss. Kennedy," Mrs. Lin pointed to the far back corner, there sat the girl with the dreads, CJ, at a table by herself, staring out the window with her ear buds in. "She was on time today."

"Yeah, for the first time since school started," Izzy retorted, moving to her seat in the second row of art tables, as the class chuckled.

Mrs. Lin pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. Why'd I become a teacher? "Just take your seat, Miss. Kennedy." As Khloe took her seat next to Hannah, Mrs. Lin continued, "as I was saying due to an assembly starting in a couple minutes, I will not make you start your new projects."

The class cheered right as the school's principal, Mr. Olsen's voice came over the loud speaker telling the teachers and students to make their way down to the auditorium. Mrs. Lin dismissed her class and watched as each of the five new guardians walk out of her room. She knew it was going to be hard telling them about... well everything but it had to be done for the safety and the lives of the Infinite Dimensions.

Once the whole class had left Hay-Lin went to her purse and pulled out the Heart of Kandrakar, which was now glowing with power; meaning the girls' powers had already started to manifest. She then made an image appear; something Will had taught her to do when she was given the task of keeping the new guardians safe. The image showed her Wynter, Izzy, CJ, Khloe, and Dakota standing, in full guardian form, about to lead the charge into battle. Behind them stood Meridian and Serine soldiers with the new rebellion that had been formed. Together they will face a far greater evil then Phobos or Nerissa. An evil that will do anything to get what they want.

Once the assembly was over, Khloe continued to hand out birthday invites on her way to her next class. She passed CJ and Isaac, a tower of a boy, giving each of them an invite. "I doubt you'll even come but whatever."

They each took the envelopes quickly, trying to avoid any more interaction with the head cheerleader. Khloe and Hannah strutted off, passing out invites to whoever they wanted to, even to the soccer captain, Izzy, and some of her teammates.

Isaac glanced down at CJ. "Were we just invited to…"

"The party of the year?" she said, mimicking Khloe's preppy voice to the best of her ability but instead just hurt her throat. "Yes, yes we were."

"We're going, right?"

CJ narrow her eyes at the tall boy. "Seriously? You wanna go to her birthday party?"

Isaac just shrugged. "Why not?" He cut his cousin off, already knowing what she was going to say. "Just because its Khloe's party doesn't mean it's gonna be boring. Something crazy always happens at her parties so we have to go! Plus, you got nothing better to do on a Saturday night, right?"

CJ glared at Isaac, who just raised an eyebrow challenging her, knowing he was right. "Fine but if something doesn't happen, you own me."

Isaac did a little mental celebration. "Deal."

A little way down the hall, Wynter and Dakota were given their envelopes but with no explanation or even a word spoken to them, just Khloe and Hannah shoving the invites into their hands without looking at who they were.

"Is she alright?" Wynter asked, flipping the pink object in her hands, wondering if it was real.

"Uhm…" Dakota couldn't explain it either. In all the years they have known Khloe, not once were they invited to any party that she, or her family, held. Why this time was different was a mystery to them but they were both strangely excited. "But we are going, right?"

-September 4th-

It was just about time for guest to start arriving for the party but Khloe was still standing in front of the bathroom mirror, frustrated with her hair. "Nothing is working!" She groaned, aggressively pulling the bobby pins out of her hair, the metal objects clinking against the ceramic sink as she dropped each pin.

Hannah was applying the last of her make up while sitting on the edge of the bathtub. "Why not just throw it up in an Ariana Grande style ponytail? It will keep it out of your face while dancing."

Khloe did not say a word but she did begin brushing her hair up into said style. Hannah glanced over her hand-held mirror, rolling her eyes at her best friend, finishing up her make up. "I'll see you downstairs, okay?"

"Mhmm," Khloe hummed, focusing on her hair.

Finally finished with her hair, she looked over her outfit in the full-length mirror hanging on the door, deciding that the tight black leather dress and all white Vans was in fact what she wanted to wear. She huffed at the process and a strong gust of wind came through the bathroom, knocking all the products she just used off the counter and making the bottles in the shower slide out of their places, creating a mini tornado. Khloe yelped, pressing her back against the wall while shielding her face.

When she felt the wind stopped, Khloe slowly pulled her hands away from her eyes and took in the scene in front of her. Every hair, face, and body product that she used was now scattered across the tiled floor, some having been opened in the freak accident and now leaking onto the ground. What the hell just happened? Khloe bent down to pick up her face cream, running her fingers along the plastic exterior, eyes darting around in disbelief.

There was a knock at the door and moments later her mom popped her head in. "Guests are arriving. You ready?"

Khloe stepped in her mother's view preventing her from seeing the bathroom in ruins and smiled at her. "I am. How do I look?" She asked, quickly shutting off the bathroom light, closing the door behind her and making her way downstairs. There was no way she could explain any of that to her mother without looking and sounding crazy, she can take care of it after the party.

"Beautiful but you can wear anything and still be beautiful. Oh, and your dad and I will be going out to eat so enjoy the party." She kissed her daughter's head before sending her down the stairs into the party.

Khloe had easily thrown on the false personality she wore when she was around her classmates; a personality that was an attention whore and a party girl. She instantly became the life of the party the second she stepped foot into the party goers already gathered at the bottom of the stairs. Presents were being stacked off to the side of the front door, guests were already starting to explore the house and Khloe was loving all the attention she was getting. Life was indeed fantastic.

Hours in and the party was in full swing; guests were in the pool playing volleyball while a few football players were throwing a football around and some were inside chilling playing pool or darts. Khloe and Hannah were sitting off to the side of the pool next to the fire pit watching Lincoln and the football players fool around with the football.

"Could life get any better?" Hannah cheered her cup with Khloe's, stretching her arm up before side hugging Khloe, making the girl laugh at her actions.

"I don't see how it could so I doubt it," Khloe finished her Sprite, placing the empty solo cup next to her. "This is how every teenager should live!"

The two girls laughed, catching the attention of Lincoln. He broke off from his friends and confidently strolled over to the birthday girl.

"Well, I know one way it could get better," Hannah giggled, nudging Khloe's arm.

"Hey."

"Hi." Khloe smiled, softly at him.

"Can we uh…" His eyes darted to the house then back at her.

Khloe looked to Hannah, who was already in the process of getting up. "I'll be… around." With that Hannah left the two alone and relocated herself with the football players.

"So…"

"Come on," Khloe took his hand, laughing as she guided him to the house.

Elsewhere, Wynter and Dakota had gotten past the front door and were now looking lost, some people even eyed them up, suspiciously, wondering why Khloe invited them or why they actually came. They didn't even bother buying Khloe a gift knowing that she wouldn't notice either way.

"So…what do we do now?" Wynter asked, seeing Khloe led the Quarterback upstairs. She didn't even what to think what they were about to do.

"Let's go see what kind of food they're serving." Dakota pulled Wynter farther into the party in search for the food table.

They got through the living room and were now in another room that looked like an extra living room but disguised as a bar. The bar counter had a few guests, serving alcohol and other drinks, that definitely were not normal beverages, based on their colors and the random pieces floating in them.

Dakota had spotted the food table outside near the pool and made a beeline for it, weaving between people with Wynter in tow. Wynter just went along with her best friend, knowing there was no stopping her when she was hungry. Unfortunately, in her warpath, Dakota had run into the one person no one thought would be seen at Khloe's parties and the one person she actively avoids but not for the reasons others do.

Isaac Cooper stared down at her with blank expression, his head cocked to the side.

"Oh… I-I sor…"

She was interrupted by Luke, Lincoln's friend, and the other football players shoving their way through the crowd yelling about a fight going on somewhere, setting off a reaction of pushes that resulted in Dakota getting shoved into Isaac. Luckily, Isaac was able to catch her before she faceplanted on the concrete patio.

"Are you okay?" Isaac called over the noise of the crowd urging on Luke, bending down so his face was almost leveled with hers.

Dakota's face went red before she pushed herself out of his hold, nodding hurriedly. The corner of Isaac's lip curled up a bit at her reaction as he searched for Luke and his football friends. Both of their attentions were, however, drawn to the pool as water exploded upwards and onto all who surrounded, including Isaac, Dakota and Wynter, soaking everyone not in the pool. Girls shrieked at their clothes becoming wet, guys just laughed at each other and the ones still in the pool quickly exited scared at what just happened.

Once people got over the initial shock at what happen, they all now gaped at the half empty pool, music still playing in the background, as the guests became silent. The silence didn't last long as they were pulled out of their trance when someone had come running out, once again screaming about the fight out front. Everyone followed, including Isaac.

"What just happened?" Wynter asked, wringing out her grey tee, looking at the scene.

All Dakota could do is shrug. After everything that just happen, she had lost her appetite and just wanted to go home. "Let's go back to your house and have a movie marathon."

"Pixar?" Wynter suggested, linking her arm with her best friend's.

"Pixar." Dakota smiled, already starting to feel better. "Can we pick pizza up on our way back?"

Wynter nodded her head, laughing.

Izzy was sitting by the fire pit with Roxy and a few other teammates, some roasting marshmallows and others were throwing in plastic bottles and other flammable things seeing what burned the best. She caught a glimpse of Khloe walking into the house with Lincoln, smiling back, seductively, at him every now and again.

"You're staring…again," Roxy, thankfully, leaned close enough to her so no one else would hear.

Roxy was always the one who would catch her staring at Khloe, it was like she could sense it. Everyone in the school knew she was a lesbian but the goaltender was the only one who knew Izzy had a crush on the head cheerleader. Which surprise Roxy the first time she heard it, since the two argued every chanced they could get and about whatever they could.

Izzy just groaned, sinking down into the lawn chair, and running her hands down her face. The moment she dropped her hands into her lap was the moment the fire was shot to the sky, the ones around the pit jumping back or falling to the ground or out of their chairs.

But as luck would have it, nobody was injured and the fire was quickly put out by the tidal wave of pool water splashing down on the guests surrounding the fire pit. Smoke rose from the now burnt-out pit, party goers staring in disbelief. Some even questioned whether it was something they threw into the fire that made it blow up.

Everyone's attention was quickly drawn to someone urging on a fight that was in the process out front.

"Wanna go see it?" Roxy nudged Izzy, with a smirk.

"Hell yeah!" Izzy got up to follow her teammates, but not before taking one last look at the fire pit. It couldn't be? Could it?

Hidden back in the garden, CJ was sitting on a swing when Hannah and a football player, Steve, stumbled on her.

"Still wondering why Khloe invited you," Hannah bit out upon seeing her.

"That makes two of us." CJ hopped off the swing to walk past her, not wanting to deal with the cheerleader.

"So pathetic, always sulking," Hannah declared, going to the swing. "No wonder your mom didn't want you."

CJ froze at the exit, turning back to Hannah and Steve. "No what's pathetic is the fact that you have to resort to making fun of my family to try and offend me. You're just like everyone else tryin' to offend me and it just makes you unoriginal."

"UGH! You bitch!"

CJ smirked. "Brat."

She left Hannah complaining to Steve. As she made her way out of the garden, she ran her hands along the bushes and unbeknownst to her, she was leaving beautiful emerald-colored flowers in her wake.

Out on the front lawn two guys from the wrestling team were going at it with most of the party hailing them on. No one remembered why they were fighting but no one cared. One of the wrestlers was easily able to put the other in a headlock, having the crowd erupt in cheers.

Khloe and Lincoln had come downstairs after hearing too much commotion, to see the pool half empty and the fire pit still smoking.

"What the hell happened?!" Khloe saw Hannah coming in with Steve from the garden but she just shrugged as an answer.

The four followed the noise out front right before someone heard sirens down the street.

"COPS!"

Once the red and blue lights were spotted flashing down the street, the crowd instantly broke up, everyone running in the direction of their respective vehicles.

The girls' power have started manifesting but they think everything that happened was just freak accidents.
