-November 8th-

-Sheffield-

Satomi felt a hand rest on her shoulder. Reluctantly, she twisted away from her computer screen that hasn't been giving her any answers to where her daughter was or who even took her. And on top of that, she had the families of the other kids, who disappeared alongside Wynter, worrying and asking for any updates she had. It pained her to have to keep telling them that there were no new leads or even traces of their daughters or sons anywhere.

She saw her partner, Milo, his unique silver eyes giving her a worried stare as he squeezed her shoulder. "Milo? I thought…"

"It's late, get some rest." It was a demand not a suggestion. "I'll take over the search. Please, just get at least a few hours of sleep."

Satomi glanced down at her wrist watch, noting it was a little after two in the morning. She sighed, nodding her head, weakly, too tired to even try and argue with him. "You call me if you find anything, okay?"

Milo assured her that he would as he walked her out to her car. He opened her car door for her, guiding her into the driver's seat but something made Satomi stop before she sat down, Milo's hand still resting on her shoulder. She looked around the police department parking lot. Her and Milo's respective cars were the only ones among the patrol cars, that lined the right side of the lot. Empty. Just like her home. Her son was with her parents for the time being, while her daughter was currently nowhere to be found. Disappeared into thin air.

"Mom?"

She was becoming delusional; she was hearing her daughter's voice. She rubbed circles with her fingers on her temples when she heard it again but closer this time.

"Mom!"

No, that is Wynter's voice. Satomi whipped her head in the direction of the voice, Wynter and the others who disappeared were running towards her.

"Wynter? Wynter!"

Satomi pushed away from Milo, tears flowing freely down her face as she met her daughter half way, slamming into a back breaking hug. The mother daughter duo spoke inaudible words the surrounding ones couldn't understand but knew the two of them did.

"Wynter."

It was Dakota. Satomi was already reaching out to her but she walked right by them and stood between Satomi and Milo. The other girls followed Dakota shortly after they saw why she moved, Lincoln and Isaac coming up behind Satomi as Wynter let go and stood with her friends.

"Wynter, honey. What are you doing? What's wrong?"

Wynter opted to ignore her question to ask her own to Milo. "Did you think you guys could get rid of us that easily?"

Satomi felt a slight prick on her neck, resembling being stung by a bee before she could again ask what was going on. Her body all of a sudden felt heavy like the lack of sleep and hours of searching, questioning and worrying finally caught up to her. She swayed to the side, only to be caught by one of the boys, her sense of awareness slipping away.

"Wynter!"

"Mom? Mom!"

Wynter watched her mother slump into Isaac's arms, laughter coming from the left of the three. Tig and Vixen were strutting towards them, Tig letting his arm fall to his side with a gun shaped object in his grip and Vixen wiggling her fingers, waving at them.

"What the hell did you do to her?" Wynter screamed at the thin man.

Dakota and Khloe held her back from attacking him prematurely and risk getting unnecessarily hurt.

"Not to worry," Tig said, calmly, holding up the gun before raking his eyes over the object like one would look at something or someone they desired. "She is merely unconscious. We don't want her finding out anything, now do we?"

"He's right, Wynter," Lincoln confirmed, his fingers against her mother's neck right where her pulse was. "She's still breathing."

"And she better stay that way," Wynter threaten through her teeth, gripping the Heart till her knuckles turned white.

"We've already captured Maxar," Izzy said, leaning an arm on CJ's shoulder. "I think he needs a few more cellmates."

"Agree," CJ smirked, cracking her knuckles still mad Saga was still out there.

"Let's end this. Guardians unite!"

The purple glow engulfed each of the girls, transforming them in a blink of an eye. Both parties attacked the moment the Guardians' feet touched the pavement, Lincoln and Isaac staying behind to protect the unconscious Satomi.

Vixen had separated Khloe from the group, intent on fighting her more on the psychological field than a physical one as Maddox and Tig played with the others.

"Was anything about our friendship real?" Khloe asked, sadness lacing her voice as she dodged Vixen lunging at her.

Vixen was squatted down, pretending to think just to give Khloe false hope. She even tapped her pointer finger against her chin to add to the act. "Nope. We just needed to keep an eye on all of you until we were given the order to kill you." Vixen stood, stretching her arm over her head, moaning dramatically. "And thank god the order came; I don't think I could have taken another second of your bitching and groaning about Lincoln or Izzy or anything else for that matter."

There was a groan of frustration to the side of the two before a wave of fire knocked into the wolf girl, throwing her into a cop car and denting the passenger's side doors.

"The only one bitching and moaning was you," Izzy swore as she went to stand with Khloe. "And it's made kicking your ass over and over again so much more enjoyable."

"Plus, Khloe's getting better at not bitching," Dakota added when she joined the two other Guardians after pushing Tig over with a heavy stream of water, splashing Vixen in the process.

"Thanks, I think." Nonetheless Khloe smiled before she turned back to her ex-best friend. "I really thought you were my friend and I am sorry you feel this bitter but this needs to end. Now!"

The Air, Fire and Water Guardians combined their respective elements, creating two vortexes of air/fire and air/water in a whirlwind of power, successfully knocking out their two opponents by hitting a couple of trees that outlined the parking lot.

"We need to tie them up or something until Wynter can send them back to Serine to be imprisoned," Khloe suggested, looking at Wynter and CJ fighting with Maddox. The man had smacked CJ with his wing, knocking her back a few feet while holding Wynter at bay with his sword to her throat.

"Here, use these," Isaac called out, tossing two sets of handcuffs at them.

The girl decided not to question the boy about where he got the objects and cuffed them to a cruiser's door handle before the three ran over to aid Wynter and CJ who were now in a standoff with the winged man.

"I would be impressed if you all weren't so damn irritating," Maddox groaned, touching the pendent around his neck, opening a portal. He step through but not before he left one last warning. "You five alone will not defeat Serilda."

The portal closed, leaving the girls confused. But the confusion did not last long when Lincoln and Isaac called over that Wynter's mom was waking so they needed to get Vixen and Tig to Serine.

In a matter of minutes, the two Order members were in prison cells on Serine and Wynter and the others were explaining the story -they had previously settled on- to Satomi after she had awaken and she had called everyone's families.

"I'm just glad you are all safe," Satomi sighed, slumping forward so her elbows rested on her thighs and her head hung in her hands. After letting out a deep breath she straightened up, switching back to police mode. "But we will need your full statements when you all are ready."

Everyone agreed before their families came stampeding into the station. They all rushed to their parents and siblings hugging and reassuring the teens were safe and okay. Wynter was pulled into a tight hug by her brother and mother, tears starting to flow freely now that the last week finally caught up to all of them.

After the capture of Tig and Vixen, life resumed almost completely normal for the teens. The first week back was the most exciting and annoying part for them; their fellow schoolmates finding every chance they could get to question them about where they were and who had "kidnapped" them. The Guardians and the boys managed to come up with a story with who, how and why the disappearance happen. It had involved Maddox's, Tig's and Vixen's human counterparts and how they had the whole thing planned out for months; starting with Vixen luring them to the football field and drugging their drinks. They told the police that they didn't know where they were taken until the day they were able to escape and made their way to the police station where they confronted Maddox(Milo), Tig(Mr. Smith) and Vixen(Hannah) in the parking lot but the trio "ran away" before they were arrested. As for the why, the group just played the I don't know card and everyone believed them, for the most part. Everyone had their own reasons on whether or not they believed the story but the girls didn't care, for they had more important things to worry about.

The following weeks the hype gradually died down, much to the groups relief. And that was not the only thing that slowed; attacks by the Order had completely stopped and seemed that they had gone into hiding, most likely to rethink their plans. With this the group did not know whether to feel relieved or concerned but they knew that it would not be the last time they saw the remaining Order members.

-November 17th-

Logan could hear the clanking of tools down in the garage from his spot in the attic. He could hear CJ and Isaac laughing along with some of their friends about god knows what but he was just glad they were having a good time after all they been through.

The last couple weeks had him spending a lot of time in the attic, going through old photos and reminiscing about old times. He was, and still is, that annoying parent that took photos of everything, even things that did not seem like important events. He wanted to capture CJ's life, not just for themselves, but for her as well, knowing she would be back one day.

He was too caught up in his thoughts to realize the sensation that was forming behind him.

"Logan."

The soft voice had him whipping around, eyes wide and thinking that she could not be real. That she was just an illusion his mind constructed since he was already thinking of her. He was up and walking toward her without even thinking twice. His hands was reaching out to her when she met him half way, her face fitting perfectly in his palms. He felt the warmth radiating off her as his thumb unconsciously began rubbing her cheek.

"Cora." His voice was barely above a whisper but was still heard, making her smile lovingly at him.

Though, her smile faded. "I am sor…"

Her apology was cut short when Logan's lips crashed onto hers in a heated kiss. It did not take long for Cora to return the kiss, pushing her hands into his dark hair as his own slid down to her hips, pressing her closer to him. They smiled at each other when they apart but Cora pushed out of Logan's hold. And he allowed her to, never losing his endearing look.

"I came here…"

"I know," Logan said, he pulled the necklace over his head and held it out between them.

The diamond shaped, Heart of Samora glistened as the attic's light hit it just right, the dark blue casting an ominous glow around it.

"I knew you would be."

Logan let the chain slip through fingers falling into Cora's outstretched hand.

Cora gave Logan one last look, hoping it conveyed all that she wanted to say to him, and turned back to the portal. "She looks like you."

"But she has your eyes."

She could hear the smile in his words but all she felt was sadness and regret. "I know."

With that, she stepped through the portal, leaving Logan behind once again.

Logan was staring at the spot where the portal was when CJ came into the attic.

"Dad?"

He didn't know how long he stood there for but he knew a bit of time passed by the look on his daughter's face when he turned to face her. He found her standing in the doorway, staring at him with her head tilted a little to the side with one eyebrow raised. Ever since she was a kid she would always stared at him like that every time she would catch him doing something out of the ordinary.

He chuckled, waving off her worry. "Just spaced out."

"Right. I, um, called you a few time but I guess you didn't hear. Casey's here."

It took him a few second to understand her but when he did Logan stepped around the boxes of photos, making his way to the door. CJ twisted her body so Logan could get out but still stood in the frame, studying at the photos.

"I always hated when you took photos," CJ said, eyes zeroing in on a photo of her sitting on top of an old muscle car. "But as I grew up I realized the photos weren't for me or even you, they were for her, weren't they?"

Logan just nodded before heading downstairs. CJ soon followed, shutting the attic door behind her. She could hear her dad introducing Casey to Isaac, Izzy and Wally as she made her way closer to the garage. The latter of the three got too curious about Earth so he decided to put a glamour on himself in order for him to blend in better. The magic perfectly hid his pointy ears and black markings that lined his whole body.

A soft thud was heard when she opened the door to the shop but she did not think much of it since Isaac was always dropping stuff. She was about to call him out for it when she saw what had been dropped.

"What's…"

CJ ran over to her dad. He had a strong pulse when she put her fingers to his throat. She looked out to the parking lot to find Saga and Jinx standing there. Isaac was by her side in an instant while Izzy and Wally stood in front of the three.

"Saga is Casey," Isaac said, standing up next to Izzy. "She somehow knew you would become a Guardian and used your dad to keep an eye on you."

"Just like Jinx did with my dad," Izzy mumbled, clutching his fists at her side. "What? You couldn't think of your own way of keeping an eye on me so you went a stole someone else's plan."

Jinx rolled her eyes. "Stupid girl."

"Let's get this over with," Saga commanded, lighting her hands with her magic.

So, I was able to post a new chapter and I hope you liked it.

The next 3(or 4) chapters will take longer to post since the final battle needs to be written and I want it to be good enough to be proud of and to post. So, please be patient. I will do my best to get it written as quickly as possible.

Thank you for reading!
