Penelope smiled as she blended up the last of the smoothies for the day. After looking more carefully through the information that Anderson had provided her with, she had found that adding extra folate to her drinks would have the benefit of further boosting her fertility. And if it might work for her, then it might work for one of her friends. Letting out a happy little sigh, she shimmied her hips and hummed beneath her breath. Derek came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her backwards.

"Good morning, Baby Girl," he murmured in her ear, and she giggled lightly as she relaxed against his chest. "Still whipping up those smoothies for all the women on the team?"

"Yeah, it's become a bit of a tradition at this point. I mean, mine are special, I've loaded them with things that should, hopefully, boost my fertility, but the others get regular ones. I just thought, maybe if I see the others drinking it, it might work better? Like some weird sort of placebo effect?"

He chuckled as he spun her around to face him, and she looked up into his smiling face. "You and your little schemes! Momma told me to tell you that you just need to completely forget about the desire to be pregnant, and then it might happen for us. My aunt tried too hard for ages, she said, and the moment that she shifted her focus, she was pregnant in a snap."

She shrugged a little as she reached up to cup his cheek. "Let me try a few more weeks of smoothies, and yoga, and friend time first? And if, in two months, there's been no progress, I'll try to shift my focus onto other things while we wait for our miracle to happen. I think that that's the best compromise that I can do at this point."

Derek gave her a tender smile before he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. "All right, I will wait two months before I pester you again to think about other things. Now, I'm going to head in, and I'll see you when you get to work?"

"All right, I still have a few more things to pull together this morning, and I'd hate for you to be late," she teased, patting his chest a few times before shooing him towards the door. Once he was gone, she let out a sigh of relief before lidding the last drink and placing them in the carrier. "He is getting a little too close to figuring out what I'm doing here," Penelope said quietly as she packed up her purse and made certain that she was ready for the day. Once she was certain that everything was good to go, Penelope left her apartment and made her way down to the parking lot.

Derek was just pulling out into traffic when she reached there, and Penelope gave him a small wave and kiss while she made her way over to her vehicle. She set the drinks and her purse in the passenger seat before getting behind the wheel and heading out to work. As she drove, Penelope thought about how things were going with her life. A part of her did feel guilty about steering her closest friends towards potential motherhood, but that was heavily outweighed by the idea of a new little one bouncing into her life. It had been so long since Henry had been born, after all.

She was so lost in thought that she didn't realise she had arrived at work until she was parking in her usual spot. Shaking her head slightly, Penelope grabbed her purse and the drinks, hurrying over to the door. A kind man from counter-terrorism smiled as he opened the door for her, and she nodded to him as she stepped through and hurried over to the elevators. As the doors opened, she stepped in and pressed the six button before moving to the back and allowing others to board as well.

Once the elevator reached her floor, Penelope was smiling to herself as she got out and turned down the hall to stop in and see Erin first. Helen was already tapping away at her keyboard, and she gave Penelope a wide smile as she gestured towards Erin's door. "She just got in, so you don't have to worry about interrupting her on the phone call."

"Thanks, Helen!" She grinned before slipping into Erin's inner sanctum. The woman was seated in front of her computer, a dreamy look on her face, and Penelope giggled at the sight, somehow knowing that the rest of the weekend had been very good to her boss.

"Keep those thoughts off your face, Penny," Erin said as she looked up at her. She shrugged as she handed over the smoothie, watching Erin sip at it before setting it on a coaster next to her computer. "I've told David that he needs to save the loving for Friday nights, as I can work off some of that energy in our yoga class. Thank you for this, I have come to look forward to when you bring them in for us."

"It's my pleasure, Erin. I hope that your day goes smoothly, and if the team heads out on a case, perhaps we can get lunch together?"

Erin nodded as she took another sip. "I will keep my calendar open, and make reservations for us at Rosbud?"

"That tells me all I need to know about the day ahead. See you at noon!" Erin chuckled and nodded, giving her a little finger waggle before she turned to her computer and started to type on her keyboard. Penelope turned on her heel and made her way out of the office and down to the bullpen. Thankfully, JJ and Blake were gathered by Reid's desk, so it was easy enough to drop off their smoothies.

"When are you going to make those for everyone on the team?" Reid asked as JJ reached out and batted his shoulder gently. "Ow!"

"You're not the one trying to get pregnant, and so don't need to drink these to act like a placebo for her. It wouldn't work as well if men were drinking them, too," JJ said before taking a long sip.

"That doesn't even make sense."

"We never said that it had to make sense. It's all about tricking the mind into thinking that something works, and it will. So until Garcia gets pregnant, I will gladly drink these smoothies. In fact, I think that I want to get the recipe from you, Garcia, so that I can make these at home sometimes," JJ said, and Penelope nodded, trying not to appear guilty.

"If you're going to give the recipe to JJ, would you mind making me a copy as well, Garcia?"

"Of course, you two! I'll bring it to the briefing with me, and send a copy of it to your emails." The two women nodded in tandem, and she gave them a sunny smile before making her way to the stairs. Anderson was smirking a little as she passed his desk, and she refused to give him the satisfaction of knowing that she was a bit worried about giving the recipe to the other women, since it might clue them in to the fact that it wasn't really a placebo she was making them, but the real thing. Still, she hoped that as long as she didn't include the folate in the recipe that she gave them, they wouldn't go looking into the other ingredients and figure her out before one of them became pregnant. It was a risk, but one she was willing to take in order to not seem quite so suspicious to them.
