For all of you who are reading this message now, this text has been written after a decision I made to overhaul a majority of this book.
At the time I'm writing this, I find it lacking to my standards, and now I am currently writing it anew.
I hope yall will like this newer version.
Energy. Vast and unmatched amounts of energy exploded into being when an uranium atom nucleus was split into two by shooting a neutron into it, the reaction breaking the atom in half to become two separate elements with smaller neutrons escaping.
The energy released during this process was unfathomable to the Atlesian scientists that discovered it. When comparing the energy to the Dust found across the world of Remnant, it was found that burn or lightning dust didn't even come within 5% of the energy created by the process of Nuclear fusion.
Those who had witness the atom being split, remarked on how destructive the process had been. Many felt like they had tapped into the power of gods. Afterwards, a scientist explained of his idea to create a bomb that could wipe out Grimm hordes in seconds.
Such an idea was tantalizing to every man in the room, for many had lost someone they loved or knew to the Grimm at one point in their lives. The Grimm were abominations with the sole guiding purpose of humanities total destruction, drawn to negative emotions like a moth to a flame.
It took five years, several thousand people, and almost 2 billion Lien to develop the first atomic bomb to exist. Calculations were made that the bomb had a yield of 20 kilotons of TNT, enough for it to level a small city like Argus within Mistral.
Today was the day the bomb would be tested upon a desolate island north of the coast of Vale. It would be a day that would forever change the history of the world, for better or for worse.
It would also be the day a monster, or some even call it a deity of nature, would be born from the ashes and wake of the blast.
Alarms blared loudly within the bridge of a giant flying vessel, men and women scrambling around with annoyed shouts or barking commands. A giant holographic screen was in front of the reinforced see-through, the flashing lights indicating several detailed numbers and graphs.
Papers and files flew through the air when people crashed into each other, and the frantic nature of the entire affair belying the importance of what today meant. Today the project so many of them had been working on for years would finally be tested.
Within the shadows cast by the command portion of the bridge, a man stood tall and his gaze rested upon the holographic screen, his eyes never leaving it even as people nearly crashed into him.
All you could see was his eyes and the portion of his militaristic uniform, the medals adorning the plate upon his chest suggesting he was very high up on the command ladder. Another loud alarm blared as the holographic screen flashed a bright green.
"All systems upon the weapon appear nominal, the arming device is being inserted now." An loud robotic voice echoed over the bridge.
A single screen popped into existence showing six people wearing containment suits walking up to a enormous rocket encircled by a catwalk, a heavy object being balanced between them using holding rods, their faces clearly showing the effect of carrying the object.
Upon reaching the rocket, a set of stairs unfolded from the catwalk and lead up to a hatch that was unlatching within the rocket. The six people came up to the hatch and with a heavy heave, loaded the arming device within the rocket, the hatch then locked shut with a loud bang.
The man in the shadows eyes narrowed, the green light then flashed purple showing the rocket was armed and ready. This was it, this was what they had been working on for oh so long, the culmination of all their collective efforts.
With a single last loud blare, the alarms fell silent as the bridge fell silent for a few seconds, the reality of the situation crashing down onto them. There would be no going back after this, no way to reverse what could happen due to this days consequences.
A new age was dawning for the world that they lived in. An age they had no way of knowing what could happen during it. The sound of metal scraping metal echoed as the man in the shadows clenched his fist, his teeth biting hard on his cheek.
Rushing footsteps vibrated in the mans ears as one of the white coat scientists stopped in front of him completely out of breath. The scientist took a minute to catch his breath before saluting the other man and spoke.
"General Sir! The new weapon is ready to be fired upon your command!" The officer reported as the man who had the ranking of General walked out of the shadows, he had a aged face with jet black hair that had wisps of silver.
"Good! Launch the weapon and get a live feed of the blast!" The General ordered as another giant holographic screen opened across the the already open holographic screen. The new screen had the same purple color as the other screen, the footage showing the rocket beginning to start up.
Huge jets of orange flame blasted into life underneath the rocket, the air heating up from the ambient temperature being artificially warmed. The flying vessel shuddered as the top of the silo opened up, the metal lid sliding into a hidden docking bay and exposing the snowy sky above.
More and more fire flared into life as the rocket slowly started lifting off, the clamps holding it into place disengaging and folding against the walls. The rocket containing the world's first atomic bomb then kicked fully into life, a shockwave bursting outwards as the rocket went subsonic and then reaching hypersonic speed.
An orange glow filled the sky full of snow, its harsh light fading faster and faster as it picked up speed. A loud |Booom!| echoed as the weapon broke the sound barrier and traveled into the lower atmosphere.
"Weapon launched! Impact in T minus six minutes and counting!" A female officer called out from a terminal in the left section of the bridge, the General clenched his normal fist until it started bleeding.
The crimson liquid hit the floor below him as the vision of something flashed across it, a purple glow with giant spikes producing it.
"May this be the weapon that's sets the world ablaze" The General whispered quietly as the live drone following the weapon flew faster to catch up.
Ruby Rose had been training on the selfsame Island targeted by Atlas for the test. The young warrior in training had taken the boat she had built using scrap parts to the Island to train her combat skills.
The island had no human presence and very few Grimm, with the worst being the occasional Ursa Minor. It was the perfect place to practice the art of combat without any worry of being interrupted or attacked.
Ruby's method of combat was extremely unusual, even by the standards of other hunters like her. The weapon she used was a Scythe-sniper hybrid, a weapon she had built solely for herself. She used the recoil of the massive 50. caliber sniper to launch herself around and gain speed, while using the curved blade as her main method of inflicting damage.
Launching herself into the air using her semblance, Ruby spun in a circle to gain speed for a devastating blow, she hit the ground with a almighty crash.
"HRRAAAH!" Ruby roared as she swung her scythe upwards after her crash throwing dirt and earth everyway as a way to put in some ranged attacks while gaining distance, the final slash ending her series of combos she had been doing prior.
The girl leaned onto her weapon while wiping off the sweat that formed upon her brow, her crimson-black hair glistened in the morning light and chilly morning. Ruby shivered slightly as she stood back up, the cold of the morning was affecting her, but she shivered because something didn't quite feel right to her, but she ignored it.
"My speed of my strikes is increasing every day and the strength of them becoming better, that makes this training totally worth it!" Ruby let out with a loud whoop and pumping her fist into the chilly morning air.
She was training for her combat studies in Signal Academy, one of the combat schools for aspiring Hunters. They were the selfless warriors that fought off the Grimm, beasts of black that had ravenous hunger and no mortal soul.
Ruby was already excellent in combat despite being of a tender age of fifteen. Her uncle had taught her to fight using her Scythe, eventually her style of fighting branched off from his. His body made him able to strike harder than her, but her body made her muck quicker, so she learned to use her speed to increase the impact of her strikes.
Gravity and speed made her blows much stronger. Using this style of fighting made her extremely hard to beat, leading her to join her sister Yang as one of the best at Signal, but she wanted to reach even higher skill levels that would make her the best
The sound of a bottle cap twisting off was heard while Ruby downed some water, the cool crisp liquid refreshed her throat. It made her dry mouth feel better and the slight dehydration she had been getting from the cold go away.
Though she did save some to pour onto her head, her hair was now damp from both the cold water and the sweat she had been soaked in. The cold water cooled down her body quickly while she let out a sigh, she pulled up a tree stump she had been using as a chair and clasped Crescent Rose upon its magnetic holster upon her back.
"Yang is going to Beacon soon, I wonder if she would send me photos of the campus and her team..." Ruby whispered with a sad smile on her face, Beacon was one of the four huntsmen academies you went to after a combat school.
Beacon itself was known as the best of the four. The acceptance chance of getting into Beacon was less than five percent, so only the best of the best were allowed in every new school year.
Yang was Ruby's older half sister by about two years, the older girl loved to nearly crush Ruby to death with her infamous bear hugs. Ruby shook her head in amusement before she put one arm behind her back to do one handed push-ups.
|BOOOOOOM!| Ruby shot up from her push ups after hearing the ear rattling explosion of noise.
It instantly put her on high alert, for nothing she knew of near the island could make that loud of a noise. Whipping her head around every which way, looking from the small forest to the beach, it wasn't until she heard the sound of a crackling propulsion system, that she looked up towards the sky.
An orange glow could barely been seen behind a layer of clouds, Ruby had to squint her silver eyes hard to see what it was. It was a rocket of some type that was heading straight towards the beach to her north.
'Ooooooh SHIT!' Ruby screamed in a panic within her head as she tried to run for the tree line where she maybe could find cover in the forest, her efforts were in vain even as fast as she was, the missile had been faster and hit the beachline north of her.
For a single second nothing happened and Ruby had some time to hope it was a dud, then all of hell was unleashed upon the world.
A flash of light brighter than the sun could ever hope to be blinded Ruby, her skin becoming see through while her eyes tissue was instantly scarred by the intensity, her vision giving her a single look at her arms held out in front of her that were see through and the light that was growing more and more.
Then darkness entered Ruby's vision, complete and utter abyssal darkness, and she realized she had become blind. A scream erupted from Ruby's mouth as she raised her hands to her eyes, her red aura manifesting to try and heal the grievous injury.
As she held her hands to her eyes, Ruby felt the air around her heat up as her aura then went from trying to heal her to protecting her against the heat. The actual shockwave of superheated air slammed into her soon after the temperature started rising. The blast of air sent Ruby bouncing and skidding across the rapidly burning terrain like a skipping stone on water.
Ruby's breath hitched when she slammed in a tree that shattered her spine from the concussive force, while another pained scream flew past her lips. That was when the roaring sound of the blast hit her ears, the deafening sound scarring her eardrum tissue and robbing her of her hearing like it had her sight.
Sheer molested terror was all Ruby felt from the situation she was in, she could not move since her spine was bone dust, her eyes and ears could show her nothing but a silent empty void. All she could do was pray that she would die, pray that she could join her mother in the afterlife, and pray her family would be fine without her.
The heat around her kept building, reaching levels that was actively scarring her body with terrible burns, while she kept praying in her head. Then energy flooded her body from within the heat, the atrocious nature of it instantly making her sick and caused her to vomit.
More energy kept flooding her body as her aura had long shattered. Ruby screamed again as she felt her skin start to burn away, her chest muscles becoming fully exposed to the energy surrounding her.
Flesh burnt away as her heart was finally exposed, the energy now had full access to her most vital organ, and latched onto the still beating organ with a seeming glee. The cells within her heart became supercharged, the nuclei rapidly changing to withstand the sheer energy infesting them.
A single beat of her heart made Ruby's entire body shudder violently, the blood being pumped through her body becoming fully radioactive while her cells began mutating and dividing at an alarming rate.
Atoms within the blood within her heart began splitting, creating nuclear fusion within her heart chambers and boosting the amount of energy she produced.
All of the muscle and tissue that had been burnt away by the blast started repairing, her eyesight returning as her cornea's were healed, and the tissue of her eardrums remade. Pain, pain, pain, pain, and more pain flashed like lightning through Ruby's body.
Every single cell in her body was changing, splitting, mutating, and she could feel happen as her pain receptor's were fully aware and her spinal cord was fixed. Her heart kept beating faster and faster to produce more of the energy her body was adapting to.
Her skin that was growing back over her exposed muscle glowed with red hot heat, the color of the skin underneath the heat being a jet black covered in burns. Ruby had no idea one could ever feel this level of pain, despair, despair, despair rocked her mind as she tried to latch onto the memories of her family to survive the ordeal.
'Help! Please! Someone save me from this!' Ruby wept in her mind, her voice had died out after her vocal cords had melted.
Atomic energy coursed through her body as her heart become biologically radioactive, the worlds first creature with a nuclear core heart had been created. The heat of her skin quickly melted the ground under her, bathing her in a pool of molten rock and magma.
With the surge of energy in her body, Ruby's mutating cells started to evolve instead of mutate. Her evolving cells used it's excess energy to start reconstructing her body from the ground up, her vocal cords were repaired as her screams became audible again.
Her stomach ruptured into bloody chunks from the evolving cells and her intestines shrunk into shriveled black goop. Attaching to the unique cells of her organs, the atomic energy repeated the same process as Ruby's organs began to regenerate infinitely.
A clump of mutating red blood cells located near her carotid artery dissolved and dispersed through her bloodstream, making Ruby's blood more viscous and acidic while turning the color of her blood black.
Heat radiated through her body, her internal temperature skyrocketed from the atomic fusion being produced with her heart. Ruby's skeleton cracked and popped as it took on a new form, the girl could do nothing as she awaited the sweet release of death.
The muscles around her jaw and her jawbone cracked and ripped, her lower jaw becoming able to split itself while a layer of flesh connected them. Within her throat, a second layer of fire resistant flesh coating formed.
'Please! Let it stop! STOP! PLEASE! IT HURT'S! IT HURT'S SO MUCH! WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!' Ruby shrieked and wept in her mind while her unhinged jaw vomited acrid smoke and the remnants of the food still left in her reformed stomach.
The ground shook from the spasms Ruby was doing, her tissue and sub-dermal body shaking and writhing under her skin. Pain was all Ruby could feel, her mind was fraying, fraying, FRAYING apart from the ordeal.
Ruby held onto every bit of her mind that she could, the memories of her life flooding like a tsunami through her mind, the happiest ones keeping her sane. Even then, her mind was fading, retreating further into the depths of her soul.
Another harsh animalistic scream tore itself out of Ruby's throat, the sheer suffering and agony could be heard from that single terrifying scream.
'STOP! STOP! STOPSTOPSTOPSTOP! PLEASE JUST KILL ME ALREADY!' Ruby pleaded in her fading mind, hoping and hoping someone would answer her prayers.
The energy her body was producing was also being fed by the fading blast to her north, she was mutating over and over and over again without her own say. She was unable to die, unable to do anything but suffer.
An intense burning formed within Ruby's throat, the feeling like she was about to vomit lava, lifting her head, Ruby opened her mouth while using her transformed jaw, and let whatever came out, out.
Thick smoke rolled out of her mouth, bathing the area around her as her body shuddered violently, before a worse burning sensation rocked her throat and the smoke was set aflame. Wherever the smoke had touched was combusted, the dirt or sand underneath vaporizing from the intense thermal flame.
A sea of flames coated what was left of the island, becoming a veritable picture of hell unleashed upon the world of mortals. The fire soon stopped erupting from her mouth as Ruby lay on her side dry heaving, her lungs desperate gulping in air before more happened to her.
Ruby's skin hardened from where it started on her chest and developed to where it could tank another blast with its density. Tremors rocked the molten ground under her as Ruby's body grew in size as it used energy to quickly gain mass.
Evolution Incarnate. Ruby was evolving millions upon millions of years with each passing second, the pain of which was unbearable, all consuming. Her mouth elongated into a thick snout with a mouth full of millions of sharp conical teeth. A thick tail grew quickly from her tailbone that slammed into the ground, the tip of her tail had a opening on it that hissed steam and spewed blood.
Her roar's of terrible agony had reached ear deafening levels since her lungs were expanding. Nothing was left to hear her cries for release, not even a single ant had been spared by the blast and the sea of flame she had later caused.
She was alone, no-one could save her, no god had answered her pleas, nothing but the fading roar of the explosion and her own screams was around her...
Black blood shot out of the skin upon her back in tidal waves when the skin was peeled back. Bones cracking filled the air as lumps protruded from Ruby's spine, which grew into large black and red dorsal spikes. Her arm's turned to face upward at a angle that made moving them near impossible, large claws that looked sharp enough to slice through concrete like hot butter replaced her fingers.
The once shinning silver eyes were replaced with large eyes that showed the underserved agony she was in in them, her thighs grew in size enough to be able to support her massive body frame. In the end Ruby laid on the ground and was over one hundred and twenty meter's in height, her head far above anything that remained on the island if she stood up.
The organ's inside her body had been strengthened to withstand most of any type of damage, her heart thumped harder in boundless agony as it brought her mutation to a slower pace
The organ's inside her body had been strengthened to withstand most of any type of damage, her heart thumped harder in boundless agony as it brought her mutation to a slower pace. Compared to her millions of years worth of Evolution every bleeding second, it had slowed down to a mere two thousand years with every heartbeat.
Ruby's screams had ceased as she laid on the floor, her mind had completely shut for but a moment after she had ceased to evolve so much. Deep rumbling breathes escaped her lipless face in large gusts of wind, her lungs taking in so much air due to their new size. Radiation rolled off of Ruby's monsterous body in waves of ultraviolet purple light, while also taking in the excess energy coming from where the bomb had landed to her south.
The giant monsterous Ruby's dorsal plates flashed neon purple as her mind slowly woke up from its slumber, though when she awoke she registered just how much agony she was in in a second.
Her heart slowed down as with every beat it pulsed with newfound deadly energy, Ruby stood up as she let out a roarish scream that showed her agony, the agony of evolution.
Upon The Atlesian Titan:
"Impact confirmed upon the designated Island, filming the blast now!" A male officer upon the bridge of the ship yelled out.
The holographic screen showed a massive cloud of fire that traveled far into the air, the roar of the blast echoing through the microphone on the drone. A new age had begun for the world of Remnant with a single weapons test, one that would shake the world with its ever increasing tremors of change.
"THE BOMB IS A SUCCESS!" One man roared with happiness with the bridge erupting in cheers while the footage of the bomb played on the screen.
Men and women laughed as the day that all of their hard work had been spent on had been a success. Smiles of pure happiness could be found on almost every face. The mushroom cloud of destruction's shockwave buffeted the drone, before the smile on one of the drone operators faded quickly and was replaced with worry.
"Sir! I'm picking up a energy source bigger than the blasts yield!" A female officer shouted as the holographic screen showed the rising levels of radiation in one zone of the island.
"Send in a drone NOW! If a Grimm is mutating from the blast, we need to kill it before the worse happens!" The General barked at the drone operator, the operator nodded his head while flying in close with a unmanned drone.
"Approaching the signal now sir!" The operator replied as he broadcasted the drones footage to the holographic screen, everyone saw a thick smoke engulf the majority island, drawing many confused faces.
That was when the smoke ignited and the island was bathed in a sea of intense flames, the sheer heat of the flame cloud vaporizing the ground it touched.
"FUCKING HELL!" The General screamed as the drone scanned the temperature readings of the flame, showing it had reached 2000* Celcius.
"FIND THAT SIGNAL NOW!" The General demanded as the drone flew over the forest to the signal, the radioactivity of the area made the footage hazy and staticky.
What they could see through the interference appeared to be a human, but it was hard to tell with all that was happening. The General felt sick as she watched the human (If it was human), dry heave after the thermal flame it had just unleashed.
Several people started to vomit after they saw the changes the supposed human went through, growing more and more grotesque. Then its body exploded with size while growing bigger than the flying capital warship they were on.
"Send in a retrieval squad! There might be a chance to help her if she still has her mind!" The General ordered as several men saluted him while running to the flight deck, soon the roar of jet engines and a bullhead engine was heard from outside the ship.
|Beep! Beep! Beep!| The general's scroll was ringing while he looked at the caller ID, he answered immediately upon seeing who it was.
"So Ironwood, care to explain why I can see a massive explosions miles beyond Vale?" A cold calm but very menacing male voice asked over the scroll line.
"We were testing a new bomb that took years to complete, the blast you see now is from that bomb...though something got in the crossfire...I'm sending my men to check out if it is what I think it is." The now named man Ironwood said while he heard a sharp intake of breath happen from the other man.
"Do what you can to fix this NOW!" The man ordered as Ironwood grunted as conformation, he looked to the screen where Ruby lay unmoving on the ground.
Back with Ruby:
Agony. That was all Ruby felt from the second her mind had awakened, there was so much of it in her body it was incomprehensible. It was like her nerves were being burned, fried, drowned, steamed, boiled, electrocuted, shot, stabbed, and many more horrible feelings.
Ruby roared again as she stood up to her full 120 meter tall height, her body pulsed with even greater pain since she needed to expel some of her energy. The energy inside her had built up so much it needed to be released, or she would self destruct like the bomb that created her new existence.
Her dorsal plates shimmered purple while her jaw unhinged painfully, she took a deep heaving breathing as the energy pulsed in her throat like the sun. It burned so much like her throat had been set on fire with napalm made from the sun, a black smog erupted from her mouth once again that soon ignited into that sea of flame from before.
The entire island was bathed with the intense orange fire from Ruby's mouth, yet there was nothing left to suffer the wrath of the flames. The fire soon condensed into a purple beam that made the air scream with a high pitched whistle sound, the beam shot into the ocean hitting several whales and turning them to ash instantly.
A steam explosion rocked the sea from where the beam connected, throwing superheated water high into the air as burning rain. The sound could be heard from Ruby's home island of Patch 90 nautical miles south of the island, she turned her beam to the tallest hill on the island.
Molten rock flew in waves after the beam had pierced through the hill, the entire hill was blown apart by how strong Ruby's concentrated atomic beam was.
After Ruby had annihilated what was left of the island, her insides burned as if they were being melted by the planets core. It took several minutes that felt like eons to Ruby for her to cool off enough to move, it seemed even if she somehow eventually gained a human-ish body, she would never be the same again with this energy in her body.
'IT BURNS! BURNSBURNSBURNS, BURNS! WHY DOES IT BURN SO MUCH?! Why? Why did I get this kind of fate?' Ruby screamed in her mind while her body was trying its best to not melt into radioactive goo.
Though her agony and misery had attracted all of the aquatic and aerial Grimm for miles around, it was like a all you can eat buffet coming off the monsterous girl. A flock of Nevermore's eighty strong flew at her face, while five Feilongs and a large leviathan breached the shore.
Ruby failed to notice the threat with the current mind she had, then she noticed her tail lifting off the ground on its own, the open mouth raised itself to her face with what seemed to be a concerned look from its body language. It then turned away from her face and looked to the invading army, the mouth hissed blasts of steam while the spines on her tail lit up with a purple glow.
Radiation was pulled from her heart while the purple glow hit her tail's mouth, it erupted into a purple beam that hit the Nevermore's and vaporized them. Not even ashes were left while the beam then hit the army below.
A giant gouge was carved into the earth from where the beam hit the class B level Grimm, molten rock and flecks of ashes funneled into the air from the beams deathly contact. A explosion half the size of the previous bomb blast shot upwards from where the beam ended its ghastly massacre.
'My tail is sentient, what else must I suffer?! Will I get pregnant next?!' Ruby thought in sheer misery at how life was for her now, she was in a horribly mutated body that was constantly overheating and was in soul searing agony every second she was alive.
Her tail twisted around to her extremely grotesque face and seemingly nuzzled, Ruby's eyes could not look anywhere but the direction they face. Though a red hot iron spike like pain drove itself into her brain, her flesh clumped together to form a new sensory organ that granted her the ability to use/sense radar/sonar.
'AAAAARRGHHAHA! WHY DAMMIT WHY?! IT HURTS SO MUCH!' Ruby shrieked in her mind while her lipless mouth made a roaring howl of agony.
The giant mutated girl felt her body start to overheat again as it absorbed the still lingering atomic energy around her, her chest felt like a massive solar flare had gone off inside of her ribcage.
'IT BURNS! NEED TO COOL OFF QUICKLY!' Ruby howled while she moved her massive body towards the ocean beyond the scarred land she had made.
Her enormous legs and feet slowly made its way to the water off the beach, she reached the cold water after a tormentingly slow pace. Her body gradually cooled down after sinking herself into the liquid, she used her over a kilometer long tail to push herself into the water and swim.
She changed her direction in the ocean to her home on patch, she knew no one would most likely know it was her in this monsterous body, but she wanted to see her home if she cant ever change back to what she was before.
Ruby swam at a fast speed of 55 knots with her tail propelling her most of the way, her body had been submerged since she now had large gills on her neck she could breathe with.
Eventually she had reached the waters just north of the island of Patch, her tail rose above the water while the water around her turned to steam. Ruby raised her dorsal plates above the water, she nearly struck a fishing boat that had been cruising near her with her plates once she rose up.
She barely heard the screams and yell's of the people on the boats around her, a giant tidal wave rocketed off her body when her full body stood up upon reaching shallow water. The beach was flooded with the water falling off of her enormous body, unfortunately Ruby had no way of knowing she had just drowned several souls with her small tsunami.
The agony she was in far eclipsed most of any other things she could notice, a loud earthshaking stomp rocked the land when Ruby put her first foot ashore. Screams of terror and panic echoed from the shoreline as everyone tried to run away from Ruby, some brave souls stayed on the beach while recording Ruby's Resurgence.
A ear shattering roar came from Ruby's mouth as she screamed inside her mind, the roar produced gusts of air that shook the ground with their gale like intensity. Winds buffeted the people who had stayed on the beach to record Ruby's landfall, several were knocked off their feet and sent flying away.
Ruby's radar vision finally located her family home as she stopped screaming in her mind for a single second, a large single teardrop of black blood fell from her grotesque left eye. It lasted only a second before her body reabsorbed the drop of blood. It was folly to ever hope she could ever be near her family safely again, the thought tore away at what was remaining of Ruby's sanity.
'Dad...Yang...This is goodbye for now.' Ruby whispered in her mind while turning her body back to the ocean, she slipped into the salt water before hearing a loud rumble coming close to her head.
A large heavily weaponized Bullhead flew to a stop about a 100 yards from Ruby's face, while fighter jets flew circles overhead.
"NOD YOUR HEAD IF THAT BLAST TO THE NORTH DID THIS TO YOU!" a woman voice screamed over a loud intercom on the bullhead, her terror at Ruby's new form very clear in her shaking voice.
Ruby had just barely heard her before she gave a single nod of her massive snout at the voice, the voice started to swear heavily as they saw Ruby nod at her question.
"FOLLOW THIS SHIP THEN! WE ARE TAKING YOU TO ATLAS TO SEE IF WE CAN REVERSE THIS!" The woman's voice spoke again as the Ship started to fly a fast speed past her, with Ruby starting to follow them and was keeping up with them easily due to her immense size.
They reached the ocean beyond patch at their fast speed, with Ruby diving deep into the blue water with an almighty splash, displacing several tons of water in a burst of crystal blue liquid. She slowed her swimming speed so she could follow the much slower bullhead above her head.
In the cockpit of the bullhead the woman flicked on a screen on the center console, connecting it to a private line her superior used in case of emergencies or sudden complications. The screen kicked on to show a black haired man dressed in a heavily decorated military uniform.
"General sir, the beast still has sentience. Its safe to say that what it had been was definitely a human." The woman explained as the General gained a hopeful look on his face.
"Good! There is hope for it yet then." Ironwood said while looking behind the woman to Ruby.
"Operative Schnee, bring her as stealthily as you can by landing on the southeast side of the continent, I know it would be immensely difficult to try and hide such a beast as it passes towns on your way to Atlas, but I rather not have her fight mass herd's of Grimm from the panic it would bring being close to city's and towns." The woman nodded her head at her superior as the screen cut out with a sharp blink of light.
Operative Schnee slowly turned her head to look out of the glass cockpit of the bullhead to look at the beast that was Ruby, thinking on just how powerful the girl must be at that size.
She could imagine the skyline of Atlas burning as building's crumbled under the power of the now monsterous girl.
'Whoever you might have been before the blast, you have the power to end the world whenever you please. I plead that you won't ever need a reason to unleash the destructive power you hold in you, for it that were to happen no one could ever stop you...'
For those of you who read the original book, or for those of you who had read this book before the overhaul, I would like to know how yall think this overhaul is compared to before.
I want the harshest and most damning criticizations you can give me, for I respond best to those types of criticizations.
Anyways I hope yall liked the chapter, tell me what you thought in a review if you'd like!
