Episode 3: Timeline, Batman.

• Bruce Wayne woke up from a dream, about the night his parents were murdered, but it doesn't seem to phase him, as he's used to it. He gets ready for the day, before walking out of his room. He travels through a dark hallway, lit by dim candles, until he gets out to a balcony, just in time to see the sun set.

He is in a temple, near the top of a mountain, built into it's side with no windows, but dozens of balconies. He thinks the people here really take the whole Ninja thing very seriously, as they usually only come out of their rooms at night.

He senses someone is approaching him, from behind, and assumes it is another test from his Martial arts Master. He waits until they are right on him before striking, but hesitates when he sees it's not his Master but a woman.

The woman takes the opportunity to twist his arm around his back. His master appears, and tells her to stop, and the woman let's go. She is his master's daughter Talia, although Bruce thinks about how this Master mentioned his family was killed by bandits and she was born, afterwards, out of wedlock.

His Master, Ducard, says it's time. That Bruce has past every test, and that there is only one more before he is accepted into the League of Shadows. A ritual that Bruce will more then likely not survive, but if he does he will be able to protect the world from injustice. Bruce is led to an assembly where all the Ninjas in the entire temple are gathered.

The leader of the temple, Ra's al Ghul, is waiting at the front of the group. When they reach Ra's, Ducard tells Bruce that before he can start the test they must go through a rather unseemly ritual.

Ducard slits his wrist, and pours his blood into a golden goblet, which he then tells Bruce to drink from. Ducard explains that drinking the blood of your master is a very important symbol, and unfortunately their culture is filled with rituals and symbols.

Bruce goes through with the ritual and drinks the blood, only to have it literally burn as it goes down. He collapses to the floor, and feels his body burning all over. His very bones crack, as they compress and grow at the same time.

His eyes, ears, and nose bleed as they begin to change. Just as he feels his heart stop, his mind suddenly explodes with visions. He is suddenly standing in a battlefield as bandits burn down a small village. An Asian woman is fighting them off, a sword in one hand and a babe in the other.

Bruce runs to them, but one of the bandits pierces the woman's heart... through the child. Suddenly he finds himself leading a gang of men hunting bandits, pirates, and highwaymen. Their gang slowly grows until it is the size of an army. However one day, while fighting bandits, he was near fatally wounded, but it wasn't the end.

He woke up in a cave, with a revolting, looking creature looking down at him. It was bald, with large eyes, long pointed ears, and sharp fangs. He hears himself speak but it is not his voice, still he is familiar with it. He says in shock and horror "Nosferatu". The creature speaks with a predatory grin "Welcome to the family, Ra's al Ghul".

Then Bruce wakes up, back in the chamber with the Shinobi. He stands feeling new strength in his muscles, his senses are high as he sees everything new and more clearly then he ever thought possible. He speaks the word well looking at the Shinobi, "Vampires." Then looks at Ducard and states that he is Ra's al Ghul not the man in front of them.

Ducard, Ra's, explains that deception and misdirection are powerful tools. He says the Ra's impostor is just a skilled member of their family. Ra's explains that it has been a long time since he turned someone himself.

Seeing how Bruce looks down at his own hands with disgust. Ra's explains that vampires are not the beast of legend nor are they any less human then before. There is no risk of "losing their humanity". Although they are more sensitive to the sun they can stay in direct sunlight for a couple hours. They can even have children and food is far from poisonous to them.

Bruce stares at him a moment before saying, "And if I don't want to be a part of this." Ra's shrugs, and tells him he can run, hide in a hole, and live in shame of his gifts, or he can use them to do some good. Bruce decides to leave and all Ra's says is they will be waiting for him to come home.

Bruce calls Alfred, his former Butler turned guardian since his parents died. Alfred was left billions of dollars by Bruce's parents but still works as the head Butler of the estate because he doesn't trust anyone else to do it.

Bruce thinks about what a good dad Alfred was growing up and isn't at all shocked to hear the man scold him for running off and not even writing for seven years. Bruce ask him to come get him and soon after a private jet arrives to pick him up.

Alfred takes one look at him and knows what happened. He brings Bruce out of the sun and closes all the blinds on the plane before ordering the pilot to take them back to Gotham.

Bruce ask if it's really so obvious and Alfred replys "Not particularly if you ignore the pale skin, irrational good looks with hardly any indication that you actually aged, red rings around the irises of your blue eyes, and long canines. Only someone who knows what to look for would know."

Alfred explains that he's come across Vampires in his travels as a medic in Gotham's army and many of them were decent people.

Bruce says he won't let this beat him and Alfred makes a joke about, "I would hope not or you've made me waste the last few of my years raising you."

Bruce insist that he can use the curse as, "People need dramatic examples. As a man I can be silenced, killed, forgotten but as a symbol? As a symbol I can be ever lasting"

Alfred sighed, and says, "I should have never let you read those 'Gray Ghost' comics." Bruce smirks, and replies, "The show was better anyway".

The rest is based off the movie "Batman Begins."

Only it also goes into detail, of Bruce fighting his thirst for blood, and learning his vampire powers such as flight, enhanced Strength and speed. (only a little stronger then Captain America because of how young he is.) Along with a healing factor powerful enough to fix broken bones overnight, as well as a special Dark gift which few other vampires have. The ability to control, summon, and even to turn into a swarm of bats.

Year One:

Batman takes down the various mobs of Gotham and street crimes as well as putting fear into corrupt politicians and cops. However Batman stays, as only a rumor, that terrifies the criminal underbelly.

The only people who know Batman exist, are Lieutenant Jim Gordon of the Gotham police (the domestic branch of the military for Gotham but still part of the Military), Lucius Fox (Head of the "Applied Science" department which is effectively an Underground Warehouse of prototypes that have not been put into production for one reason or another), and Alfred with only Gordon not knowing Batman's true identity.

Batman slowly makes his armored Batsuit (based on how he does in the movie "Batman Begins").

There is a subplot of Wayne Industries being taken public by the CEO since Bruce was thought dead. To make sure he won't lose control of his family company Bruce buys up most of the shares where he then fires the CEO and hires Lucius to take his place.

This ends with Bruce going out in his full Batsuit for the first time at the docks and catching the mob boss in the middle of receiving a drug shipment.

Court of Owls:

Batman takes on other mobs and various street crimes when he learns that there is a large coven of Vampires in Gotham called "The Court of Owls" who operate much like a Mafia and control a good deal of the crime in Gotham.

They have a number of blood banks setup everywhere and bars where humans (called "Fang Bangers") allow vampires to feed on them. The Vampires also frequently cover up the murders of humans killed by vampires.

Batman puts most of his effort to bring them down. When he finally does the head of the vampire coven tells Batman that he can keep the city, as it won't be around much longer. Since the League of Shadows is coming and they were the only ones keeping them out, but because of Batman they no longer have the strength and they aren't going to try. The coven flees Gotham leaving it to it's fate.

League of Shadows:

The League attacks the city, with fear toxin, and Ra's al Ghul gives Batman the chance to join him, saying that this city is too corrupt and no matter what Batman does he can never fix it. Batman manages to defeat the League and force them out of his city saying Gotham is his and no other vampire is welcome here.

Ra's al Ghul says Batman will come to see the light, "give it a few centuries".

Story Arc:

Batman continues to struggle with his vampiric curse and need for blood, surviving on animal blood.

Batman Villains.

A Human with strength serum. He is a Drug Lord, with strong ties to Gotham's organized crime, and doesn't take kindly to Batman putting the majority of his buyers in prison.

Death Stroke:

An ancient Vampire, with a dark gift that grants him a near instant healing factor (though he can't grow back missing parts, hence he is missing an eye).

However, he also as a rare disorder for Vampires, that makes him unable to sire others (though he can still have children the traditional way).

He was one of Ra's progenies, and is obsessed with the purity of Vampire blood. He tells Batman that they are both 3rd generation Vampires, and that makes them inherently important to the Hierarchy. That Batman is shaming their sire by fighting against the League of Shadows.

Before Batman came along, Deathstroke was Ra's chosen heir.

Catwoman:

Selina Kyle is a Vampire, blessed by an Egyptian goddess to become a "Catwoman"

She feeds on "fang bangers" during consensual sex, though she does not kill them. She is a thief, not a murderer.

Batman becomes fascinated by her moral grayness. She is not good or evil, and she loves to flirt with Batman... Batman finally met his match as he can never bring himself to catch her.

Two Face:

The human wakes up from his coma and then reveals the lie Batman and Commissioner Gordon told to protect the city, before going on a crime spree. It is revealed that he has two different personalities in his head, one good the other not so much, and they decide what to do by flipping a coin.

The two go on a crime spree together and terrorize the city. Ending with them both back in Arkham Asylum.

Bat Family:

• Alfred.

Ra's al Ghul kidnaps Alfred, and force feeds him a few drops of Bruce's blood. Not nearly enough to turn him. It just gave Alfred a longer lifespan, greater physical power, and a mental link with Batman. It also means he becomes a Vampire servant. Called a "Ghoul."
