Sorry about the late update. Was busy last month and I just ended up forgetting about working on this…and updating. Either way, I'm back now and I hope you enjoy as the party continues through the battles ahead.
XXXX
Going up the stairs up the Pokemon Tower, even though this was a back entrance that let them bypass a few floors, it didn't change the fact that they still needed to deal with the big issue…not helping was the fact that they had an elderly Pokemorph with them and a very young Pokemon was well. It didn't make things any easier, as the daunting task they had before them became more and more apparent.
"...okay I gotta ask. Anyone else feeling like running and not looking back?" Brock asked after a bit.
"Yes," everyone else said without hesitation, even the Pokemon present with them.
"Glad to know I'm not the only one," Brock chuckled weakly.
"You'd have to have no survival instincts to NOT feel terrified right now," Gary said dryly.
"Let's just hope those survival instincts serve us well going forward," Mr. Fuji said, before attempting to lighten the mood. "If nothing else…we're already in a graveyard."
The others looked at him with less than amused expressions.
"Yes, that WAS in bad taste, I admit," he sighed.
"Eh, its fine. At least it was a small distraction," Gary sighed. "Besides, looks like we're here."
True enough, the stairs they were climbing soon reached an end and they were once again on the third floor of the Pokemon Tower. They hadn't been sure WHAT to expect, but well…
"This is…strangely normal," Ash couldn't help but say, as rather than some terribly warped area, the floor they were on seemed fairly normal, even if it was different from last time. This time around while it still clearly retained the image of a grave within a tower…somehow the place had been shifted into some kind of long hallway, one that they couldn't see the end of.
"Compared to the large graveyard, this doesn't seem so bad. Still, be on guard," Brock frowned.
"No need to tell us twice," Misty said, while Pikachu, Duskull, and Lampent all nodded in agreement.
"You'd better stay behind us. We'll deal with whatever shows up, but…" Gary frowned.
"Say no more. I may be old, but I can still at least defend myself," Mr. Fuji nodded. "Just be sure to take good care of Cubone too. I can help there if you'd like."
Ash checked on Cubone who was still securely in his backpack, while Pikachu was vigilant over the small Pokemon, Duskull and Lampent doing the same. "I think we're okay for now," he reassured. "But yeah, we'll be sure to ask if we need help."
"Alright then, let's go. The faster we do this the better," Misty said, not liking the familiar feeling of goosebumps on her scales.
With that said the group quickly made their way into the floor. At first things seemed quiet, the hallway stretching out and even starting to spiral a bit, yet they all kept their guard up. True enough, once they made…they weren't sure HOW much progress exactly, a familiar cold feeling started to descend as the mist started to roll in, more phantoms appearing from within it.
"They're here!" Ash said, and immediately Duskull and Lampent were at the ready, even as they felt the fear effect. Moving quickly they used their combined abilities to cut off the disguise, revealing the true form of the phantoms and with it, cutting off the mental effects they were causing, revealing a small group of Paras.
At the sight of the Pokemon, Ash quickly called out Charmander, while Gary stepped forward and took a deep breath…before both Fire-types roasted the phantoms, which vanished shortly after. "Admittedly, this isn't as scary the second time around," Gary couldn't help but say.
"Kind of like watching the same horror movie a second time. Still scary, but not as bad as the first time," Misty chuckled a bit.
"Guess that's one good thing from going after this a second time," Brock sighed. "At least we won't spend so much time dealing with the scares."
"Yeah, just hope that helps us when its time to deal with the source of it all," Ash sighed, before quickly petting Cubone when it was clear the mention of his mother's ghost made the little Pokemon sad.
The group continued onward, fighting against any phantoms that menaced them, but eventually they came across…a different problem. "Dead end? But we've been following the path," Misty gasped.
"This place is hardly normal in the first place," Mr. Fuji frowned. "Perhaps the real way was hidden from us somehow."
"That…makes sense," Gary mused. "Wild Pokemon use those kinds of tricks plenty of times, so it wouldn't be out there for the same trick to be used here," he said, before turning to Duskull and Lampent. "Think you two can dispel the illusions we find?"
The two Ghost Pokemon looked at each other before they did what could only be called a salute.
"I think that's a yes," Ash chuckled. "Glad we got you two here. We'd be sunk if not for you two," he chuckled, making the two look a bit bashful at that.
"First things first we'd better try and find a clue where the stairs are," Mr. Fuji said. "I'm not fully sure how exactly Marowak is doing all this, but something tells me she couldn't cut us off from the next floors."
"How should we do that?" Misty asked, to which Mr. Fuji hummed as he looked around…and noticed some of the mist.
"That mist. The phantoms seem to come from them. Granted it may not behave like normal mist, but…" Mr. Fuji said, and they quickly caught on.
"It has to be coming from somewhere, and that somewhere might be the stairs to the next floor," Brock nodded, seeing where he was going. "Good thinking."
"I'm just glad I can be of help. Now then, let's see if my guess is correct or not," Mr. Fuji said as they were soon searching the floor.
At first it didn't seem like they were finding anything, but eventually they found some of the mist again, and with it more Phantoms. Fortunately at this point they'd gotten used to dealing with them, and the phantoms were quickly dispatched, leading them to a relatively unassuming looking wall.
"Welp, here goes something. You two are up," Ash said, turning to the two Ghost Pokemon who saluted and quickly turned to face the wall. Working their trick on the wall, it soon faded, revealing the stairs that would lead them to the next floor.
"Nice, you were right," Misty smiled.
"Glad I could be of help," Mr. Fuji chuckled. "Now let's keep going."
The group quickly ascended up the stairs and entered the fourth floor. Like the previous floor it had warped into a different shape than it normally was. Fortunately the floor seemed to be a repeat of the previous floor. "Okay, this helps a lot," Brock said, clearly pleased by the turn of events.
"Doubt the way up is gonna be in the same place, but at least we know how things should work," Gary mused.
"So find the mist and work from there," Ash nodded.
"Um…about that…" Misty gulped as she pointed ahead…and they soon found that the floor was becoming obscured by the mist, phantoms soon emerging once again.
"Oh boy…" Ash gulped as Pikachu, Duskull, and Lampent gulped.
What followed was nothing short of chaos as the group found themselves fighting against a horde of phantoms, Duskull and Lampent doing their level best to cut off the disguises as much as fast as they could, while everyone was fighting frantically against the waves of phantom Pokemon.
"Dammit how many of them are there?!" Ash gasped as he punched a phantom Sandshrew that was trying to claw at him.
"I don't think we want to count!" Misty shouted as she doused a phantom Graveler, weakening it, to which Brock slammed into it, and soon used it to hit more of the phantoms.
"Get out of our way! We don't have time to deal with you!" Brock shouted, before stopping his charge, sending the phantom Graveler tumbling into some remaining phantoms, forcing all of them to vanish. Even so, Brock wasn't stopping, quickly charging forward and knocking aside more phantoms.
"He's extra motivated," Gary couldn't help but say.
"He really wants to save Sabrina," Ash said. "And all things considered, not blaming him in the least."
"Then we'd better not fall behind," Gary said, before letting loose a torrent of flames. At the same time Pikachu jumped into the air and let out a powerful Thundershock, which hit several more of the phantoms, forcing them to dissipate and with them gone, the mist started to thin.
"Now's our chance!" Mr. Fuji shouted. The group nodded at that and moved through the floor, trying to find where the mist was coming from. However, before they could locate the exit the mist rolled in again, forcing them to do the same song and dance again.
"They're going to tire us out at this rate!" Misty growled.
"Then we can't just fight them head on!" Gary shouted as he burnt another phantom, forcing it to dissipate. "Any ideas?"
The group fought while thinking hard, and it was Ash who came up with an idea. "Everyone, call out your Water Pokemon or use your Water Moves. We're gonna soak these guys!" he said.
"If you have a plan then okay," Misty said as she called out her Pokemon and with their help, fired a wide ranged Water Gun, not causing all that much damage, but still causing the phantoms to get seemingly doused.
"Okay, they're all wet. What's the next step?" Gary asked.
"This! Pikachu, Thundershock at full power!" Ash ordered. Pikachu quickly understood what he was aiming for and nodded, using his shoulder as a springboard, Pikachu took to the air, charging up his energy before letting loose a powerful Thundershock, which hit the phantoms…and due to the water it was conducted.
The phantoms lit up like Christmas trees for a moment, before they soon dissipated, being unable to handle the attack. "Nice job, buddy!" Ash grinned as Pikachu let out a 'Pika' of victory.
"Don't celebrate yet, we gotta find the stairs fast!" Gary reminded.
"Right," Ash nodded quickly, while Brock, Misty, and Mr. Fuji were already scanning for the source of the mist…and soon found it from one of the walls.
"There it is!" Mr. Fuji shouted, to which Duskull and Lampent immediately moved to break down the illusion. Just in time too as more phantoms started appearing, the group running up the stairs without hesitation.
"Here we are again…" Misty gulped a bit, as once again they were on the floor that had been warped into a large graveyard. At first glance it seemed roughly the same as before, but when they looked closer, they realized that the Graveyard seemed to be more elaborate, with more varied paths than just one straight line.
"Great…the layout's probably changed too," Brock groaned.
"And with how big this place is it could take a while to fi-" Gary started, but was cut off when they heard a scream in the distance.
"...normally I'd say we shouldn't go there, but right now…it might be our only clue…" Ash groaned.
"I really hate that that's an actually viable move," Gary groaned as well.
"It really is a wonder what you can do when you're desperate," Mr. Fuji sighed as the group almost resignedly moved towards the source of the scream. There was a good chance they would find something unpleasant, but it could also be a clue on how to keep moving or even the party that came before them. However, even when they were possibly going towards danger…things were rarely so simple.
"The mist is back!" Brock warned, everyone getting ready. At this point they were becoming desensitized to the horrors of the tower, not the least due to having gone up it one time already. As such, they knew what to do. The moment the phantoms appeared, Duskull and Lampent were quick to strip them of their disguises, and the moment they were revealed, the group quickly selected the appropriate Pokemon if not fighting by themselves. Either way, they were soon breaking through the phantoms one after another.
Things seemed smooth for the most part, but after a point, they hit…a big snag. Simply put, Duskull and Lampent had been using their abilities so much…they were starting to tire out.
"Take a rest you two," Ash said with a bit of a frown as Lampent and Duskull flew into any vacant bags and were quick to start to rest.
Once the group confirmed the two were resting, the group quickly realized a new predicament. "...how do we deal with phantoms now?" Misty frowned.
"Normally I'd say we have to wait till Duskull and Lampent are rested up, but we don't have the time," Brock frowned.
"Yeah, and there's no telling when more phantoms show up," Gary frowned.
"Then we have to keep moving," Mr. Fuji said gravely.
"With luck, maybe we'll find some help soon enough," Ash agreed. Things were looking bad, but they really didn't have any options beyond moving forward.
The group was tense as they made their way forward, the two Ghost Pokemon with them doing their best to rest up while they could, but as things were they were unlikely to be able to recover significantly anytime soon.
They soon approached the area where they'd heard the scream, a rather large set of graves that were tightly packed together in a way that was more messy than the other graves. However, that was not what alarmed them. What did was when Gary took a step…and stepped in something wet and sticky. Gulping thickly, he looked down slowly…and realized he'd stepped in a puddle of blood.
Nobody said a word at the sight. All they could do was slowly follow where the blood was leading…and saw an exposed arm…clearly leading back to what was without the rest of the body…probably ruined under the dirt seeing as the blood was still seeping out of the bit where the arm was exposed.
…and it wasn't the only one. They noticed bits of other body parts from different Pokemorphs visible from the ground around the graves too. What happened here…didn't need to be said.
"This is getting FAR too serious," Gary said in shock. The team that had been sent in here should have been some of the best they could muster…and well…THAT happened to them.
Ash swallowed thickly, fighting the bile back down. He wanted to turn back around and run for the hills right now… but there was no way he could stop here. Sabrina NEEDED their help "Alright… the Silph Scope has to be around here somewhere. We just gotta keep our lunch down, and keep our eyes peeled… as much as we want to just keep them shut." he managed to say.
Everyone just nodded at that. There really wasn't much else that needed to be said as they did their best to not be crushed by the grimm reminder of the reality they were facing. Either way they began searching for the Silph Scope, hoping that if nothing else it was still intact.
The group searched for a while, doing their best to find the item quickly…while not disturbing the bodies more than necessary. Fortunately it seemed luck was on their side. "Hey, I think I found it," Brock said, picking up something that had fallen near one of the graves. It was revealed to be a pair of high tech binoculars with a notable S shaped logo on the center, the logo of Silph Co. one of the largest companies of Kanto. It also had bits of red on it. What it was was…obvious…
At his voice the others came over and took a closer look. "Is that the Silph Scope?" Mr. Fuji asked.
"It's got the Silph Co. logo on it, so it should be," Gary said before frowning. "Let's hope it helps us more than it did them…" he said, the mood quickly becoming heavy again.
"...let's keep moving…" Ash said somberly. Nobody argued, silently offering prayers for the Pokemorphs who'd lost their lives as they soon continued searching for the stairs to the next floor. Surprisingly, searching seemed to be relatively calm for the moment.
"This is…" Misty started, but…
"Stop. Don't say it," Ash, Gary, and Brock all said at the same time. They did NOT want to tempt Murphy. Not when they were in a literal horror movie setting.
Misty stopped, realizing what they were going for, and wisely shut up. She could fully understand the feeling they were having.
Mr. Fuji however while not asking the question, opted to answer it anyway, having a pretty good idea what she'd have wanted to ask. "...I believe its due to the ones who'd lost their lives. If the spirits are angry…they may have been somewhat calmed from this, though how long I am unsure…"
"Even more reason for us to find the stairs quickly," Brock frowned.
"I just realized, we've been finding the stairs by looking for the source of the mist. How are we going to do it now if they don't come at us?" Gary asked.
THAT caused everyone to pause a bit. "Okay, that's a problem," Ash frowned. Fortunately they weren't without options as Brock looked at Silph Scope.
Not saying a word, he did what he could to clean off any blood and brought it to his face. Through the lenses he saw a rather high tech HUD inside of the Silph Scope, and registering its use, it came on, searching around the area. However, he also noted that it seemed to be having a bit of issues. Even so it didn't seem like it was malfunctioning.
Curious, Brock moved around, just to make sure the device wasn't broken, and as he went over a section of the graveyard, the Silph Scope seemed to pick something up as the HUD centered on an area ahead of him, to which the center part of the device opened up, revealing a hidden lens which released a powerful light, forcing the others to cover their eyes, but when it subsided, they saw that an accessway to the stairs had appeared. "So THAT'S how they work," Brock mused.
"Kinda wish you'd warned us first, but not like you'd know that would happen," Ash groaned a little, rubbing his eyes.
"Still at least we found the way up. Let's go," Misty said…right as they felt a familiar cold feeling. Nobody said anything and quickly ran up the stairs entering the 6th floor.
"Not to sound disrespectful, but I am just about sick of seeing graveyards…" Gary groaned as the next floor was…another massive Graveyard. One that felt notably a LOT larger than the previous floor.
"No, we're right there with you. Sorry, Mr. Fuji," Ash groaned.
"It's quite alright," Mr. Fuji said. "I can't say I blame you after this ordeal."
"Let's keep going and try to find the access to the next floor then," Misty frowned.
"Not just that. This is the same floor we last saw Sabrina and the others. If they're still here we have to find them," Brock said, the worry in his voice evident.
"We'll save them," Ash said, reassuring him. "If they're here then we'll save them."
"Yeah, after what they did for us, its the least we can do," Misty agreed, while Gary nodded as well.
"Thanks," Brock smiled a bit. "We'd better hurry though. It'd be dangerous to stay in one place for too long."
With that said, they began searching through the floor, the warped space making it hard to search. Not just that, they weren't alone for long too. "Here come more phantoms!" Mr. Fuji warned.
"I'm on it!" Brock nodded as he took out the Silph Scope and used it on the phantoms. A burst of light later and they were quickly revealed, allowing the group to fight back. The moment the true forms were revealed, everyone didn't even need to be prompted as they fought back, be it using their own abilities or calling out their Pokemon. Even Duskull and Lampent by now had recovered enough that they were able to help out, everyone having become…grimly accustomed to the feeling of fighting against phantoms.
The battle didn't last long and they were soon continuing onward, hoping to find a clue, be it to where Sabrina was or where the stairs to the next floor were. Even so they didn't give up and kept searching, fending off whatever came their way at the same time. It was after one such fight that Brock paused suddenly.
"Something wrong?" Misty asked, wanting to keep moving.
"No, I thought I heard something," Brock said…right before he heard it again. "I did hear something. Didn't you all hear it too?"
Everyone looked at each other and shook their heads at that.
Brock frowned at that. "Well I'm definitely hearing something…though…" his eyes widened when he realized what was going on. "This isn't a physical voice. Its a psychic voice. It might be Sabrina."
"Or it might be one of the spirits playing tricks on you," Mr. Fuji cautioned. "Still if it could be a clue, we should probably follow it."
"Lead the way then," Ash said, to which Brock nodded, as he started to follow after where he felt the voice coming from. At first nothing of note was happening, but as they followed, that started to change.
"Hey, I think I'm getting something too," Misty spoke up.
"So I'm not the only one then," Ash said.
"Looks like we were right to follow Brock. We're close enough that we're all getting it," Gary mused.
"But more importantly it's clearer now. It's a call for help," Brock said, his expression now quite worried as the group picked up the pace, following after the 'sound'. Eventually they reached another massive mausoleum, one that was large enough that it was probably the size of a Pokemon Gym.
"...I hope if I ever have to face a Ghost-type Gym the Gym Leader isn't the type to take the Ghost part too far," Ash groaned at the sight of the mausoleum.
"You me both," Gary groaned as well as they soon entered the mausoleum. Due to its size it had more than one room, but each room had its own series of graves, which the group carefully moved around. Warped rooms or not they didn't want to do anything they didn't need to. As they got deeper they heard something. This time it wasn't a voice in their heads. It was fully audible. And it was shouts of pain.
Now VERY alarmed, the group rushed forward and entered one of the largest rooms they'd seen so far. "Sabrina!" Brock gasped as there near the center of the room were three large tombstones and chained to each of them, spectral chains wrapping around them to keep them restrained, were Sabrina, Kagome, and Rei, all three of them looking worse for wear as they were covered in scratches and the like, their clothes badly torn, while around them were several phantoms.
Brock's voice alerted the phantoms causing them to turn to the group, but Brock didn't waste any time, taking out the Silph Scope and using it to shatter the disguises the phantoms were using, revealing a Graveler, a Machoke, and a Kadabra, all three of them glaring at the group.
"Looks like these three might be stronger than the ones so far," Gary frowned.
"But that's not gonna stop us!" Ash said as the group were at the ready.
"We can't fight them without a plan. The first two might not be too much of an issue, but a Kadabra especially one like this might be trouble," Brock frowned, remembering how even if they'd gotten used to fighting phantom Pokemon, but that taught them that these things were unsurprisingly a bit more resilient than normal Pokemon. It was probably because so far they'd been fighting a whole bunch of basic Pokemon that things were manageable, so evolved Pokemon might be harder.
"I'll take Graveler," Misty said quickly, and nobody was arguing due to the reasoning. It was a logical move to let a Water-type AND Water-specialist fight the Rock-type.
"I'll handle Machoke. I got a trick or two for this type of Pokemon," Gary frowned.
"So that leaves Kadabra," Ash frowned. "Guess its us up against it, Brock," he said while Pikachu let out a determined 'Pika!'. Much like the Pokemorphs at this point Pikachu had become…desensitized to what was going on around them.
"Are you sure? Maybe you should help Gary with Machoke. I can hold off Kadabra until then," Brock said.
"No, I'm good. I've got something I was planning on saving for the Fighter match in Saffron, but this is a good a time as any to use it," Ash said.
"Alright, let's do this then," Gary said.
"I'll keep Cubone safe, don't worry about me," Mr. Fuji said as he backed away, Cubone with him as he did.
The phantoms seemed to have decided on their own plan as they moved to attack. Graveler opened the attack by rolling at them, to which Brock and Ash quickly got in front, bracing themselves as the phantom hit (how something that was supposed to be a disembodied spirit could have weight and force was beyond them). The two grunted and strained but between the two of them they managed to stop Graveler's charge, before Misty called out Staryu and Starmie, the three of them dousing Graveler with a triple Water Gun attack, knocking it away.
Machoke didn't take kindly to seeing what they did and charged forward at Misty, but Gary got in between and opened fire with a Flamethrower, which hit Machoke dead on, forcing it to stop its charge, but still try and push its way through to reach Gary. The Growlithe however didn't let up the pressure, which gave a perfect opening for Duskull and Lampent who fired a Night Shade and Confuse Ray respectively, hitting Machoke dead on, causing it damage and confusing it and thus cutting off its momentum, leaving it teetering…which Pikachu having seen what was happening took advantage and leaped into the air, and landed an Iron Tail on Machoke's head.
Both Graveler and Machoke were looking a bit dizzy from the counter attacks, but before the group could press the advantage, they were suddenly levitating in the air, the cause of which being Kadabra who was clearly not impressed by their efforts to fight back.
Duskull and Lampent tried to move to help, but the Kadabra shifted its focus a bit more on them, and suddenly they were restrained harder than the others who were at least still able to move somewhat.
"We're in trouble if we can't get free!" Misty grit her teeth as she tried to get free, but the Kadabra was putting some pressure on her too, no doubt it was cautious of any of them who could use ranged moves. Gary in particular…couldn't even open his mouth.
"If that trick you talked about can help, now's a good time to use it!" Brock said quickly, though Ash was already ahead of him.
The Riolu didn't say a word, but he had managed to move his hands together into a cupped position, and energy gathered, energy that suddenly turned dark. The Kadabra noticed it and moved to stop him, but it was too late as with a shout, Ash threw the energy forward, which manifested into a beam made of dark rings/spirals that flew through the air and hit Kadabra head on, pushing it back till it slammed into one of the walls of the room.
Everyone immediately felt the hold on them vanish as they immediately adjusted their positions to land on their feet. However, Ash didn't let up as he focused and gathered energy again, which he then threw forward once again, hitting Kadabra with the Dark Pulse again.
Graveler and Machoke had by then recovered from the attacks they endured and saw what was happening to Kadabra. Glaring they moved to try and stop Ash, but the others weren't giving them a chance, as Pikachu dashed forward, and slapped Graveler silly with Iron Tail, followed by another Water Gun barrage from Misty and her Pokemon.
Brock and Gary quickly went for Machoke, taking advantage of the lingering confusion Machoke was suffering from to land several strong hits as Brock hit it with everything he had, followed by Gary taking advantage of the opening and landing a point blank Flamethrower that had enough force behind it to push Machoke off its feet.
In the small indent it had made, Kadabra was rubbing its head, looking a bit sore…before its eyes widened when it saw its companions flying back and towards it, leaving all three to crash into each other. A dust cloud was kicked up, and when it cleared, all three had swirly eyes and soon vanished.
The moment the three vanished, the astral chains holding Sabrina and the two spiritualists were shattered, leaving all three to fall to the ground.
"Sabrina!" Brock said in alarm as he was immediately at his friend's side, while the others checked on Kagome and Rei. Thankfully all three of them, while badly injured, seemed to be alright. Even so, only Sabrina seemed to be conscious, even if she was exhausted.
"I knew you'd come…" Sabrina said with a weak smile. "Sensed you all…when you entered this floor…"
"Don't talk too much, you've been through a lot," Brock said, not wanting her to exhaust herself further.
"I'll live…" Sabrina said wryly. "More importantly, you need to stop the Phantom at the top of the tower," she said, before she focused and the group soon felt a mental image enter their minds. It was where the stairs were. It seemed even while she was in a literal bind, Sabrina had been using her power to find where the accessway to the next floor was.
"But we can't just leave you here!" Ash gasped. The three of them were in no condition to defend themselves if any phantoms showed up. However, as if sensing what he meant, Duskull and Lampent immediately floated over, and started talking a bit.
"Are…you two offering to stay here?" Misty blinked, earning a nod from the two.
"Well you're not going to be doing this alone," Brock said, before turning to the others. "I'll help take care of them. You deal with Marowak."
The others seemed a bit unsure of that, but ultimately nodded, realizing that this was the best move. "Alright, but we're not just gonna leave without giving some help," Gary said, before taking out one of his Pokeballs and releasing one of his Pokemon, a Growlithe. "Growlithe, you help guard this area. Until I get back, listen to what Brock says, okay?" he said to which Growlithe nodded.
"You help too, Nidorino," Ash said, sending Nidorino out.
"I'm trusting you with this too, Staryu," Misty added.
With everyone gathered, and the three injured spiritualists placed in a position that kept them somewhat comfortable, Ash, Misty, Gary, as well as Mr. Fuji and Cubone soon continued onward. "Be careful everyone," Brock said, earning nods from the group as they soon left the Mausoleum. Quickly using the mental image that Sabrina had provided for them, they were able to quickly locate the spot, as apparently defeating those three had caused some of the other phantoms to calm down for the moment. Even so they weren't going to wait around to see how long that lasted.
With that in mind, they quickly used the Silph Scope, revealing the stairs to the top floor. "Everyone ready?" Misty asked grimly.
"About as ready as we'll ever be," Mr. Fuji said, while Cubone was looking…very conflicted after everything that had happened.
"Let's go then," Ash said, and they soon ascended to the top floor.
XXXX
And there we go. The party has managed to make their way through, even find and save Sabrin and Co., and now they're about to face Marowak. Will they be able to win? Let's find out next time.
