Chapter 5:The beginning

'Damn...that hurt."

That was what the pink haired man currently floating in a river thought, putting a hand to his sides and then raising it up, he wasn't shocked when it was completely covered in blood. Probably due to the massive cut on the right side of his torso

'even in my first life, this is a first.'

Letting his hand drop into the water, he closed his eyes as he recalled the exact moment it happened.

.

.

'I didn't think much of that orange haired girl's scream at first, humans had an annoying habit of screaming the other's name when they were in danger.'

"Defeat that bastard!"

'while she was physically stronger, the position I put her in was more than enough to fully stop any movement, and yet when that Master of hers spoke that command...'

With strength never demonstrated before, the black armored girl quite literally exploded out of the ground as she got up, pushing back Caster and breaking the ground from her sheer power alone, then somehow the shield he was so sure he had thrown aside appeared in her hands, that was when he realized the position he was in, she was about to swing at him with strength that is almost guaranteed to kill him, he tried to stop her by unleashing thousands of slashes on her body but while they had almost no effect before this time they didn't even faze her, in one last desperate attempt he put up his forearm near his face as some type of protection, the last thing he saw was lavender eyes in between lilac hair looking at him with determination, that's when he felt the shield hitting the sides of his lower torso, tearing into his flesh, clothes, and almost splitting him in half and then sending him flying through multiple buildings and then into a river.

'now that I think about it, I couldn't even see her shield move...those command seals are more powerful than I thought.'

'Command seals', his face soured at the mention of those words.

'Well chances are, they'll let me dissapear here, I did try to kill them after all. Still, to think this life would also be ended by a w-"

Suddenly, he felt a surge of power inside of him, caused by his supply of mana being replenished, this time he was well and truly annoyed.

"Damn it. They're more naive than I thought."

Those were the last words he said, before focusing on healing himself.

.

Mash looked at the hole she created with wonder, she really didn't expect her blow to have that much force behind it.

"Mash!"

Snapped out of her daze, she turned to the direction of the voice to see Ritsuka quickly limping towards her with an arm wrapped around Olga Marie for support.

"Are you okay? That guy had you pinned down on the ground pretty hard."

Looking at her Senpai's worried face, she smiled as the realization she had just won dawned on her.

"Yes, Mashu kyrielight reporting for duty: Except for a bruised nose, no significant damage has being done by the enemy Caster-" 'wait...'

'...I'll submit to you and become your servant.'

her smile disappeared as she remembered those words and her expression turned serious.

"Director, Master, before my last encounter with Caster he told me that if I were to land a hit on him-"

"He would join our side, right?"

It was the director of Chaldea who completed her sentence, she was silent until now because she was thinking of this exact matter.

"I was listening to your conversation right before your fight began. Romani do you still have access to Caster's data."

Suddenly a part of the bracelet in Ritsuka's wrist lit up as a voice came out from it.

"Yes, I only cut off his mana supply like you instructed. The spirit origin is still connected to Ritsuka and therefore Chaldea."

"Well? What's his status?"

"He's barely alive, and will dissapear soon. We can reconstitute his Spirit origin through saint graphs if he does fade away, however it will take a while for our mana generators to gather enough mana for that."

"So if we're going to make a choice, we'll have to make it now."

The silence was all she needed to know that her assumption was correct.

With a sigh, she closed her eyes to think a bit, then looked at Mash and Ritsuka, who by the way was utterly confused at the situation at hand but still tried to look serious.

"I'll simplify it for Ritsuka to understand, we're going to decide whether the man who just tried to kill us will live or not based on the fact that he promised to help us if Mash landed a hit on him. Which is why I want both of your opinions."

Surprised, Ritsuka pointed a finger at herself while looking at the director in a manner that shouted the message: You mean me?

She wasn't the only one shocked at her director's behavior as Mash didn't seem to believe the director was actually asking for someone else's opinion that isn't professor Lev.

"Don't give me those looks! Mash I didn't hear the full conversation between you and Caster, not only that but you're the one who got to observe him the most, making your input very important. And Ritsuka, you're technically Caster's Master so you have a right to say on this matter."

Startled out of their shock, Mash was the first to speak between the two.

"Yes, after battling the individual Caster twice, I have concluded that while he is arrogant, selfish and cruel, he does see some value in humanity."

"Then why did he still attack you?" the question came from Ritsuka.

This caused Mash to frown a bit.

"From what I understood...Caster's reason for not wanting to sace humanity is due to...a lack of motivation. To be exact, he considered it 'to bothersome'."

This caused a noticable twitch in Olga Marie's expression.

"That settles it then, somebody like that is to dangerous to trust. Ritsuka, I'll trust you're fine with this?"

"Well...he did almost kill me, but wouldn't summoning another servant take a while?"

For some reason Olga Marie seemed shocked at this answer.

"Sorry to interrupt but um...Director."

Snapped out of her shock she looked at the now glowing bracelet.

"What is it Romanii?"

"I kinda already restored the magical supply of Caster." his tone sounded apologetic atleast.

"WHAT!? Who told you to do that!?" unsurprisingly she was quite angry at this sudden confession.

"...Magi*Mari."

Before she could retort, the bracelet stopped glowing showong that the communication has being cut.

Olga Marie was now very silent and unmoving, scarily so.

'Oi'

Suddenly a voice echoed inside of Ritsuka's head, causing her to look around, but only seeing the dark face of the unmoving director and the worried face of her junior.

'You're the orange haired brat, right?'

Finally recognizing who the owner of the voice is, she widened her eyes before closing them looking up at the sky.

'Caster.'

'Thats my class, not my name. but yes, Caster, your brand new 'Servant' is contacting you my 'Master'.' she couldn't help but notice that there was some venom into the words Servant and Master.

'Wait wait wait. Are you saying you're really going to join our side.'

'don't be to surprised brat. Unlike you, we valued our promises in my time, and if nothing else I respect strength when I see it.'

'So...you accept me as your master?'

'No, Iike I said I'll obey and follow you out of respect for my own words and the fact you've beaten me, but I will never consider anybody my master, and especially not a weak brat like you."

'Yeah, that's fine with me. Being somebody's else Master sounds wrong anyways.'

All she got for that statement was silence.

'Anyways the reason why, I contacted you was because I found something interesting, head towards where that shield girl threw me.'

'...Can I really trust you?'

Silence once again.

"Ritsuka!"

Suddenly she was snapped out of her thought, by the voice of the director. When she looked, she saw Olga Marie still supporting her but also staring at her with an irritated, and...maybe worried expression.

"What are you doing dozing off like that? You were completely ignoring what I was saying!"

"Senpai, do you perhaps need to rest? Healing magic can be quite tasking on one's stamina."

"Uh-no its fine. Sorry, what were you talking about."

With a huff of exasperation, the director set her down slowly on the ground before explaning.

"We don't know what Caster's next action will be, so while we still have time use a command seal to bring him here and stop him from moving, that way we'll see if he still plans to fight us, now do it quickly or else he might stop again by attacking or worse kill you."

"Ah...well..about that..."

Author's note:Not a lot of action in this chapter...but hey now sukuna's joined the band! All credits go to Magi*Mari, I noticed that sukuna is very prone to getting caught off guard which is this seemed like a good way for him to be defeated , anyways once again I will be asking you all a question. It's actually the same question from chapter 4 due to not getting many answers but anyways.

Do you think this fanfic's sukuna is somewhat similar to jjk's?
