Neb: Domori was possessed by Shadow Domori last chapter. Shadow Domori took control at the last moment against Changeling and shattered the opposing blade. Domori has had to deal with his other personas for a long time, and for a while, Shadow Domori was under his control. Now that his darker side is out shattering his opponent's beyblades, it could mean trouble for Domori when he is himself. I do not own Beyblade, Beyblade Burst, Turbo, Rise, or any other form of Beyblade. This is a fanfic starring my OC Domori Venger, sequel to my fanfic starring his sister, Sin Venger. I don't care if I get favs, follows, or reviews for this one, because I will keep writing it anyway. I hope you all enjoy.
Domori woke up the next morning in his own bed, for the first time, in a long time. "Guess it's time to get started," Domori grinned. He headed downstairs where a breakfast sandwich was on the table for him. Next to it was a note telling him to visit his mom at her restaurant. This shocked Domori somewhat, given his parents were usually too buried in their own work to interact with Sin or him. But to be fare, he had been off to Spain, twice with barely a word to his guardians. Domori scarfed down the sandwich and then headed towards the shed with his bags. He swept it out and mopped it, there weren't really any tools in the shed, given his own parents hardly ever used that space, but he liked to use it as his Beytraining Lab. Once the place was cleaned, he pulled out a fold out desk and a wooden chair, then he started setting up his equipment. He pulled out his lap top, his 3d printer, his beyblade scanner, his regular paper printer, and started setting it all up. Then he started hanging his blueprints on the walls like they use to be. When he was done putting his new stuff up, he started going through the boxes of his old blue prints and concept arts of beyblades. These were the original works of his spring loaded beyblade designs. Though he new a few of his prints were missing, because Sin's old rival Candice, the original Concealed, stole his work and made Changeling. Now there was another Concealed running around with their own Changeling, a spring loaded beyblade that can morph during battle.
"If any of them can control true resonance, then maybe I might just fight the true blader I've been looking for," Domori grinned. Though changing your beyblade during and in between battles was far from getting stronger during a battle. He wanted to be the rival that pushed others to break their own limits and rise to face him. Then once he's gathered the data on how they managed to break their own limits, he will do so without any problems. It won't be like when he's switching parts, stances, or even personas. It will be pure Domori getting stronger and stronger with no one to stand in his way. Then maybe he might become the new champion. Not that titles like that ever interested Domori, He just wanted fun battles and new friends.
"That's good and all," the voice of Free spoke within his mind. "But... don't you want to win?"
Domori looked down for a second and then sighed. He did want to win, this was about more than getting stronger and having new rivals, it was about overcoming them as well. "Of course I want to win," Domori reasoned with himself. "I beat that masked blader didn't I, and he was using my own design against me..." Domori realized that reasoning would have flown over Free's head if that was his actual response. Free was an introvert through and through, and only spoke in terms of blading and getting stronger. Domori sighed before pulling up his phone, it was already noon. "Guess it's time to visit mom."
Domori headed into his mother's restaurant which was slammed packed, same as usual. But there was one table opened with a reservation on it. The Hostess nodded to him and led him over to that table.
"Your mother is unfortunately really busy right now," the Hostess explained. "Can I get you anything to drink while you wait?"
"Water will be fine," Domori decided. He waited there for a while, and finally his mother came out of the kitchen and headed towards his table.
"Domori, sweety," she begun. "How was your trip to Spain?"
"Eventful," Domori decided was the right word. "I've met a whole bunch of different bladers, and even picked up a few pupils a long the way. Though, now they are just rivals."
"It's good that you are making friends honey," she smiled. "A while back a few friends of yours tried to visit the resteraunt once, and I intended to say hi to them. But I was very busy in the kitchen and couldn't make it out to them. The moment my back is turned, it seems there's always something that goes wrong in there."
"You don't have to make excuses mom," Domori assured. "I'm sure my friends understood." Domori remembered back when he had returned to Japan from Spain for the first time, and his 'friends.' Valt, Shu, and Aiger went around town asking his family about him and his sister. Domori of course didn't learn about any of this until his dad called him the next day. But the trio, Valt especially was worried about him. They were just getting use to Domori having multiple personas, and to be fair, that meant he wasn't mentally well. In the end, Valt made it his mission to accept every side of Domori and to make it his goal to face each and every one of them in a battle. The good sides and the bad sides.
"So are you ok?", Domori's mom pushed again. "Your friends told your father that there was animosity between you and Sin."
"We had a few heated discussions upon my first arrival back to Japan," Domori explained. "She had challenged me to a battle on the air and that got me riled up. Not because I hated her for it, but because I could never resist a good challenge. I'm sorry if that came off as us being disrespectful to each other."
His mother sighed in relief and then nodded. "I knew you two were ok, you were always a calm pair of kids. Alright, my break is over, but stick around. I've got squid Takoyaki heading your way pretty soon." She hugged her son and then headed back to the kitchen.
"We were anything but calm," Domori admitted to himself as he flashed back to the tournament.
Flashback
"Are you not even going to talk to me?", Sin yelled at him. "It's been half a year Domori, you can't just run from home and act all antisocial when you get back."
"Everything I wanted to say had already been said. You challenged me on Live Stream, and if you win against Concealed, you will."
"Spriggan and I will win Domori," Sin pushed back. "We will move on to beating Aiger!"
"That hand me down Beyblade isn't going to cut it," Domori growled. "Now your borrowing Shu's power to win your battles! It's fine, everyone finds their own way, but I at least hoped my own sister would use her own creativity!"
End of Flashback
"Of course we had gained a new found respect for each other during out next battle," Domori remembered. "But the animosity was there. That doesn't matter anymore, Sin showed me that she could get stronger with the bonds of friendship. I always wondered if Valt and Aiger drew their power from the same thing."
Domori smiled to himself and then nodded. "I'll find out soon enough."
