Brax grabs his Ute keys ready to head into work.
As he steps outside his eyes go wide at the sight in front of him: his precious Ute, every inch, is covered with a combination of: eggs, condoms, toilet paper, glue, feathers, and even more to his horror: hairspray dye, displaying outright profanity, graffitied the back.
Brax breaths heavily and grits his teeth, as the anger boils inside him.
This was not the work of some vandal; this was a prank.
Brax exhales deeply before letting out a bellowing yell.
"Kyle and Casey Braxton: get out here; right now!"
Kyle and Casey are resting in their beds; Kyle reading peacefully and Casey lazily continuing to fall asleep, when they hear the loud yells of their big brother and suddenly alert.
They glance at each other in panic and scramble out of their beds and hastily get dressed; not wanting to leave Brax waiting, for an angry and impatient big brother is far worse than just an angry one.
"What did we do?" Kyle whispers with a hint of nervousness.
Casey shrugs.
"Maybe he found out about Heath's car? Oh it's going to be worth it to see Heath suffer," Casey snickers, while Kyle rolls his eyes, just wishing Casey would give it a rest with the anti-Heath talk.
Kyle and Casey rush out of their bedroom and out into the front yard, passing Heath along the way that had swung open the door to the flat, wearing his bed boxers and tee shirt, after hearing the bellowing voice of his older brother.
"You two sound like you're in big trouble," he comments.
Kyle and Casey stop as soon as they see Brax standing beside his Ute: the Ute they had damaged last night.
Their eyes widen as they realise they'd made a big mistake and it wasn't Heath's Ute they ruined, but their now very furious big brother's.
Brax glares at them both; still exhaling heavily as he tries to refrain from cracking his little brother's skulls.
Kyle and Casey start bickering.
"Kyle, you idiot; I thought you said you were certain that it was Heath's!" Casey stammers as he panics.
"I did," Kyle whispers back as he stares at Brax's damaged Ute.
"Well, it's not," Casey argues, stating the obvious.
"It's not my fault. Heath always parks his car there and it was dark. How was I to know when he practically has the same colour Ute as Brax?" Kyle retorts.
"Because you're meant to be the smart one. You must really need glasses because you must be blind!" Casey argues back.
Kyle gives Casey a hard frown.
"Don't call me blind!" Kyle yells back, as anxiety is beginning to rise inside him.
Brax watches Kyle and Casey for a moment before shutting up their bickering with a loud roaring bellow, along with a rough grab of both of their necks.
"Enough!"
Casey and Kyle immediately halt and startle from Brax's yell and squeal from the hard grab to their necks.
"Ow!" Casey whines, while Kyle quietly whimpers.
A moment later, after pulling his little brothers in line from their bickering, Brax releases them roughly and the teens stumble backwards, rubbing their necks.
Never dealing well with being on Brax's bad side, Kyle falters under the pressure.
"I didn't want to do it; it was Casey's idea, and he did most of it. I told him no!" Kyle spurts out as his voice quivers.
Casey scowls and punches Kyle in the arm, who whimpers in response.
"You blabbermouth Kyle; you threw me under the bus!" Casey snaps.
"Stop it! The way I see it you are both responsible for this, no matter who did what!" Brax bellows and glares directly at Kyle in a means to shut down his confession that Kyle is hoping would lessen Brax's anger.
Passersby begin to stop and look, with some not only chatting about the scene but also taking photos of Brax's Ute on their phones.
Brax growls as he notices out of the corner of his eye, the gawkers at the end of his driveway.
He stops admonishing Kyle and Casey to spin around and glare at the onlookers.
"What the hell do you think you are all staring at? Get the hell away from my property before I come down there and smash your damn phones!"
The onlookers grumble but move on quickly.
Kyle's face flushes as he comes to terms at being scolded out in the open for people to see.
It isn't bad enough that Brax's yelling is enough to alert the whole street, but the younger two are getting reprimanded big time and drawing in some attention from passersby.
"I get we did something wrong, but can you please yell at us inside?" Kyle timidly asks.
Brax looks around and sees more people stare as they pass by but having no patience to be dealing with nosey neighbours, Brax ignores them and continues his tirade with his little brothers.
"Oh, am I embarrassing you both? Tough! Imagine my embarrassment coming out to this obnoxious disgrace!"
"It wasn't meant to be your car. It was meant to be Heath's," Casey protests quietly.
Brax glares at Casey's remark.
"You think if you'd have done this to Heath's Ute it would have made a difference?" Brax bellows.
Kyle and Casey remain silent, casting their eyes onto the ground.
"I can't believe you boys wasted food, resources, and money for such a stupid prank! Do you have any idea how much you wasted? And don't even get me started on the condoms Casey!" Brax yells rhetorically.
Thinking Brax is being serious, Kyle does the maths in his head.
"About four dollars fifty for the eggs and eighty cents for the toilet rolls," Kyle mumbles.
"I beg your pardon? I don't think it wise for you to be a smart mouth right now Kyle! If you continue you will find yourself with a nasty taste of mustard in your mouth," Brax warns sternly.
Kyle withdraws and hangs his head.
"What is more Kyle, how could you even think to do something like this after Heath spoke with you?" Brax yells, facing the oldest teen.
Kyle swallows the lump in his throat, feeling instantly guiltier.
Kyle continues to stare at the ground.
"I feel really guilty..." Kyle starts to mumble but is quickly interrupted when Brax scoffs.
"Well, that's good of you Kyle, but it didn't stop you, did it? Nor did it make you think how it is your responsibility as the older brother to inform me if Casey is doing or planning on doing the wrong thing! I honestly don't know what to say, but you failed your responsibility. I expected better from you Kyle!" Brax yells.
Tears immediately start to fall from Kyle's eyes as he realises how much he's let his big brother down.
"I'm sorry," Kyle mutters.
Brax angrily shakes his head.
"Nup; I don't even want to hear a sorry out of you boys right now!" Brax admonishes.
"Sorry," Kyle apologises again.
"What did I just say Kyle?" Brax snaps, causing Kyle to jump.
Kyle starts to cry, having always hated being reprimanded by his big brother.
"As for you Casey..." Brax starts as he glares at the youngest but quickly turns back to face Kyle who is sobbing loudly.
"Stop your crying, Kyle; you're only going to anger me further! You know very well you deserve every word I've told you, so you are in no position to cry about it, and I suggest you save your crying for when I really give you something to cry about!" Brax threatens.
Feeling scared, Kyle immediately wipes his eyes; just wanting to be back on his big brother's good side, despite how upset he feels on the inside.
Brax goes to start scolding Casey again when Kyle suddenly blurts out: "I wanted to tell you, but Casey made me do it; he forced me!"
Casey's eyes go wide in panic.
Brax huffs and crosses his arms.
"Really; and just how did Casey make you do it Kyle when you are old enough to make your own choices?" Brax demands.
Kyle avoids Brax's gaze and remains quiet.
Casey shakes his head, glaring at Kyle.
"Shut up, Kyle!" he warns, only to receive an unimpressed frown from Brax.
"You be quiet: I haven't even started with you!" Brax barks and point angrily at Casey.
Casey silences and gulps nervously.
"Kyle, I'm waiting: answer me!" Brax bellows, causing Kyle to jump.
"He said he was going to tell the whole school about how I sleep with my monkey..."
"You dobber!" Casey yells.
Brax instantly grips Casey by the neck.
"That is enough out of you; unless you want me to kick your backside right now as well as when I'm finished here!" Brax threatens and releases his hold on Casey's neck.
Casey gulps and cowers into himself as he hangs his head, knowing full well he is going to be in big trouble.
"Kyle, continue," Brax orders sternly.
Kyle rolls his eyes upwards to take a glance at Casey who is sporting a scowl on his face.
"He said, if I said no to doing this prank, he would show everyone at school a picture he had on his phone of me cuddling my monkey," Kyle mumbles.
"This is unbelievable!" Brax yells and glares sternly at Casey.
"Is this true Casey?" Brax demands.
Casey casts his head down and shrugs his shoulders.
"Look at me when I ask you a question and I expect a yes or no answer!" Brax bellows.
Casey only slightly raises his head to look at Brax and sees the hard frown on his face as he continues seething.
"I wouldn't have really done it," Casey mumbles a half-truth; anything to avoid further scolding, but it miserably fails.
"You swore to me you would!" Kyle argues.
"Shut up!" Casey snaps back.
Brax grips Casey's arm and gives him a shake to warn him to be quiet.
"So, you did threaten Kyle then? " Brax questions sternly, "I want the honest truth and I mean it Casey!"
"Yes," Casey croaks out barely audibly.
Brax huffs in fury.
"So, wait: this wouldn't happen to be yesterday, when I heard you two make that loud bang in your bedroom and you both told me you were just mucking around?" Brax queries, now with his hands firmly on his hips and putting two and two together and remembering how he saw Casey holding his phone away when he and Kyle were 'play wrestling' on the floor.
"Yes," Kyle confirms in a mumble.
"Let me get this straight, when I asked you what was going on; you both lied to me? Kyle, you had ample opportunity to tell me then and you wouldn't be getting in trouble right now. Was there anything more I needed to know about?" Brax demands.
Kyle stares down again.
Scared of Brax's anger and feeling it is best to tell the truth because Brax would see straight through him anyway, Kyle continues with telling what Casey did.
"He also said he would tell you about a time that I swore, which I didn't mean to, it just came out because he was being mean and then there was also trying to blame me for the barbecue breaking, which I only helped him try to fix; he broke it. I just didn't want you to be mad at me," Kyle mumbles.
Brax humphs, "Well that hasn't helped you now, has it? And for a fact I had my doubts that you broke the barbecue that day, Casey, as I heard a banging noise while I'd been in the bathroom and you looked most guilty with your soccer ball and haste to get away, but to have remained lying to me had me second guessing I was wrong in believing you'd be capable of doing the right thing and confessing to your crime."
Casey glances up at his brother and figures how Kyle's theories of Brax always finding out or knowing the truth was proving correct.
Brax continues, "But stooping to blackmail, that's beyond dishonourable and wrong! I'm disgusted, Casey!"
Casey glares daggers at Kyle for blurting out what would only lead him into deeper trouble right now.
"This is your fault; you're a crybaby snitch!" Casey yells.
"I told you to stop but you didn't listen!" Kyle argues back.
"Cut it out!" Brax yells, silencing his teenage brothers.
"Casey, not only did you write and draw such vulgar profanity on my vehicle, which I know was you because I know your handwriting, you blackmail your own brother in the cruelest way possible!" Brax bellows.
Meanwhile, the yelling alerts John next door and he steps outside his house to investigate.
"Oh boy, those boys have done it this time."
"What's going on, John? Stop being so nosey," Marilyn asks and walks outside to stand beside her husband.
"Those young Braxtons; look at what they've done to poor Brax's car. I don't blame him for being so worked up," John comments.
"Oh dear, that's quite obscene," Marilyn adds.
"That young Casey's a troublemaker. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with a criminal record one day. I feel sorry for Brax having to keep him in line," John states.
"John! Don't be so mean, Casey is a very sweet boy, they both are. He just acts a little bad at times," Marilyn defends.
She loves the boys dearly having seen them grow up.
"Pfft; at times? Look at the offensive gestures and words he used. I'd say those two deserve everything that their brother gives them."
Marilyn sighs and watches on as Brax continues his berating.
"How dare you, Casey! How dare you, pull a stunt like this?" Brax yells at the top of his voice, causing Casey to startle and shuffle nervously on his feet.
Although not as sensitive as Kyle, Casey still hates when Brax is mad at him.
"What's more, you wasted all the condoms I specifically bought you, for your safety. It is not a joke, Casey; you outright threw them away with no thought at all!"
Casey continues to kick his feet around; glancing at a loose stone that is being caught up between his shoes.
"Are you even listening to me?" Brax yells.
"Yes," Casey mumbles; barely audible.
Brax lets out an exasperated breath and shakes his head in severe disgust.
"Where have I gone wrong in how I raised you?" Brax questions sternly.
Casey glances up, feeling a sense of shock and hurt from Brax's harsh words and feeling a sense of guilt for really hurting his big brother.
Casey's eyes instantly fill with tears as a few slip down his face, which he is quick to wipe away.
"I am incredibly disappointed and ashamed at the behaviour of both of you! You both should be ashamed of yourselves! This here goes beyond some stupid prank; it's pure vandalism and that's a criminal offence!" Brax hollers as he roughly points to his Ute.
Kyle and Casey avoid Brax's gaze; Kyle is crying lightly, whilst Casey's face is bright red from embarrassment and his attempts not to burst out crying.
"I told you both specifically there were to be no more pranks and yet here we are with this! You both deliberately disobeyed me, so now it's my turn to do something, and you boys can tell me if it's funny," Brax warns.
Kyle and Casey flick their heads up in fear of what their big brother is talking about.
Seconds later, Brax grabs Kyle's left arm tight and yanks him forward towards him.
Kyle's eyes immediately widen, and his chest tightens with fear.
Kyle squeals in pain and bursts into tears at the first very hard whack to his backside that has him shift forward from the force of his big brother's hand.
"Whoa! I wouldn't want to be those boys right now," John comments; still watching on at his neighbour's property.
Marilyn sighs in sympathy, feeling sorry for the teens.
Xavier slips out of the house and hears the commotion from next door and his foster parents talking.
"What's going on?" he asks, but instantly sees Kyle getting his backside smacked hard and he looks on in shock.
"Gosh: that's intense. I would never have thought Kyle would be one to get in that sort of trouble!" Xavier exclaims.
"Well, I think they deserve it," John states in a huff.
Brax lands two more quick smacks of the same severity again, causing Kyle to shift forward, before he pushes Kyle away.
Kyle is sobbing heavily; hurt and utterly embarrassed, knowing not only did he receive a spanking for the second time in four years, but to receive one in front of John and Marilyn and even Xavier.
Kyle's heart skips in panic; what if Xavier told Indi about what happened.
He'll never be able to face her again.
Kyle hangs his head and rests his hands on his sore backside; too scared to rub, for he's forgotten how much a spanking could hurt and this one had been harsh.
Brax scowls and moves toward Casey but the scared young teen steps back and covers his bottom with both his hands.
"Please, no," Casey begs in a soft squeal.
Taking no nonsense, Brax grabs Casey tight and pulls him forward, pushing his right arm away from protecting his bottom and facing him against the back of his Ute.
Casey hides his face in the crook of his right arm and can no longer hold back his crying.
Casey screams as soon as he feels the sting of the first extremely hard smack.
"Ow! Please, no more!" Casey cries out.
Brax ignores his baby brother's dramatic wails and lands two more extremely hard whacks that continue to propel Casey forward.
Casey screams and cries; this is far worse than what he received with his suspension.
Brax got up close to Casey's ear, while still gripping his left arm tight to keep him in place.
"This would be over by now but instead you: blackmail your brother!" Brax scolds and lands another extremely hard whack to his brother's backside.
"Ow!" Casey sobs: he is already feeling humiliated, and this spanking really hurt!
"And: you graffiti my car with vulgar profanity!" Brax yells and gives one final spank, but the hardest of the lot.
Brax lets go of Casey and the young teen is too scared and upset to move, so Brax takes it upon himself to pull Casey away and shove him back next to Kyle.
"Now was that funny?" Brax demands.
Both teens shake their heads as they sob heavily.
Kyle is now rubbing his bottom, having had the chance to compose himself, whilst Casey is torn between holding his palms over his eyes or rubbing his fiercely stinging backside.
Brax glances at his watch and sees the time is almost nine o'clock and he sighs heavily and shakes his head.
"Far out," he mumbles in frustration.
He'd had plans to go into work early but now he is running late after having to deal with his little brothers.
Brax angrily points his finger at Kyle and Casey.
"You boys are damn lucky, that I'm now running late, and I didn't have the time, otherwise you both would have gotten a proper spanking for this, and you know what I mean when I say proper: I mean on just your underwear, without the luxury of your pants!" Brax yells.
Casey gulps and shivers, now rubbing and protecting his backside and Kyle shifts feeling utterly scared.
Even though he's never had the experience of a spanking on just his briefs, Kyle is well aware how much worse it could be from just hearing Casey's encounters of how painful it was and how the sting lasted for longer, from the four times he'd experienced that in his life, when he'd put himself in danger or when he'd repeatedly been reckless or disobedient after being given several warnings.
"Now as I don't have any more time to finish this, I will discuss the rest of your punishment later when I get home. Now in the meantime I want this mess cleaned and I want it done by the time I come home this afternoon and what's more I want it clean enough that I can see my face in it, or I'll put your faces in it. Am I clear?" Brax warns.
"Yes Brax," Kyle mumbles; feeling terribly sorry for himself, whilst tears are still rolling down his cheeks.
"Yes," Casey mumbles barely audible as he continues to rub his very sore bottom.
Brax turns to face Casey and gives him a firm finger point.
"And one more thing, Casey: if I ever, ever hear or see you use such rude, disrespectful, profanity again, I will wash your mouth out and you will receive an immediate spanking without your pants and you will be housebound for a very long time. This is the second warning about this kind of behaviour and it had better stop. Do you understand me?" Brax warns loudly.
Casey casts his head down; feeling humiliated that Marilyn and John are still next door watching and hearing Brax's every word and the guilt is starting to settle in about how much he's hurt his big brother.
Brax grips Casey by the chin and forces his gaze.
"I asked you a question and I expect an answer!" Brax barks.
"Yes Brax," Casey whispers, whilst barely moving his lips.
Brax huffs, "You boys had better get to work; you have a lot to clean up."
Brax storms off into the house, leaving both Kyle and Casey crying.
Heath follows Brax into his house.
"What the hell was going on out there? You were practically blowing a fuse. I heard a lot of yelling and crying and smacking and your Ute looks a real sight," Heath comments.
"I don't have time to explain right now. I just need you to look after Kyle and Casey while I go to work. Make sure they aren't at each other's throats, and they get to work on cleaning up the mess on my Ute," Brax orders.
"You mean to say they are responsible for that chaotic bomb sight out there?"
"Yes; apparently a prank that was meant for you. Now I need to borrow your Ute keys before I'm even more late to work," Brax says gruffly.
"Shit big fella, they really messed it up good."
"I know. Now keys Heath," Brax orders in a short tone.
"Alright," Heath smarts and heads back into his flat only to return seconds later and hands Brax his keys.
"Make sure you give them some lunch," Brax orders and storms out of the house and down the driveway.
He glares at his little brothers who are gathering the buckets and cloths to clean the car.
"Remember what I said boys!" Brax threatens as he slams the door to Heath's Ute and speeds off out of the driveway and heads to work.
