L'Amour Toujour
C40: Epilogue
Standard Disclaimer: I don't own any of the recognizable characters.
A/N: So, this has been a ride I never thought would turn out the way it did, and I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read this story and leave a review, and while this one may be done, I am far from done writing. Currently I have two stories completed and ready for upload, working on two others as well as ideas for at least five more. Having said that, I will take August off from uploading to recharge a little, since I have been writing non-stop for the past year and a half. The first chapter of the next fic will be uploaded on September 1st. Once again thank you for your time in reading and reviewing, and I will see you all (hopefully for the next one.)
Four years later
Four years went by in a flash, and both Hermione and Fleur, as well as Luna and Gabrielle had been blessed with absolute angels of daughters, who now at four years old were thick as thieves and shared almost everything.
Currently the four women were still sound asleep, none of them noticing how their door creaked open and the pitter patter of sneaking feet made their way to the bed, combined with soft giggles before the four girls pounced on their mothers.
There was a collective groan from the three blondes and one brunette. "Good morning sweeties. Is there a particular reason you all woke us up so early?" Hermione asked softly.
Victoire, the oldest by four minutes and already a spitting image of Fleur, grinned brightly at her Mama. "Grammy and Gramma asked us to wake you all up. It's almost time for breakfast."
"We also get to go and see aunt Ginny play today so they want to get as early a start as possible." Katerina, Luna and Gabrielle's oldest daughter said with her usual dreamy smile, which was a carbon copy of that of her mother and grandmother.
Hermione groaned softly as she sat up and pulled her oldest into her arms. "I didn't know it was already that late. Could you and your sisters give us a moment to wake up. We'll be down shortly.
"Yes Mummy." Rosalind and Dominique, mirror images to herself and Gabrielle said in unison with similar bright smiles.
They all smiled at the blonde as the four girls scampered their naked butts out of the room, giggling all the way down the stairs. "I swear that they resemble you and Gabi more with each passing day." Hermione said with a slight glare to her wife.
Fleur grinned at that. "Don't act like they're not like you too, mon amour. Their favorite spot in the house is the library after all."
Hermione grumbled a little as she got out of bed, padding to the bathroom to fix her hair while the three blondes laughed lightly. "She's so adorable when she's grumpy." Luna said with a soft smile.
Gabrielle and Fleur nodded as they too got out of bed. "I think that moniker goes for all of us, but I think today is more from how early we were woken up instead of the way we were woken up."
Luna nodded and followed her wife and lover out of the bed so they too could freshen up a little.
Over these last four years the two couples had grown steadily closer to each other, eventually dropping all pretenses of being two separate couples and instead calling each other lovers instead of in-laws, and their daughters likewise were raised as sisters instead of each other's nieces, and it showed in how close they were since the moment they were born.
As the four women came down, with Hermione making a beeline for the coffee maker, since the brunette needed coffee in the morning in order not to be snappy with anyone besides her daughters, before taking a seat next to her mother. "Good morning sweetie. Did you sleep okay?" Bellatrix asked softly.
"I slept okay, I just would've liked not to be woken up by our darlings, but I understand I have you and Mummy to thank for that." Hermione said with a slight grumble as she sipped her coffee.
The raven-haired witch smiled at her daughter. "Indeed you have sweetie. We have a lot to do this morning, and I'm pretty sure Ginevra would not be happy if her good-luck charms weren't there for such an important game."
Hermione smiled at that, knowing that it was true. Ginny always won her matches whenever they were in attendance, which given her dislike of Quidditch was by now far more than she ever would've thought possible.
Her daughter's loved the sport though which she fully accredited to their redheaded aunt who was the star-Chaser on the Holyhead Harpies, and of course Nymphadora who still had her chaotic streak of sometimes wanting to annoy family members.
"Will everyone be here today? It's been a while since we've seen Draco and Astoria." Fleur asked with a soft smile.
"They should be there. Draco wouldn't want to miss the championship match, although I don't know if Astoria will be there with her being eight months pregnant." Pandora said with a soft smile.
Hermione nodded at that. "That is understandable, given how her first pregnancy went."
Pandora nodded at that as she put the last of the pancakes on the table, which was something her granddaughter's loved and was more often than not a thing served for breakfast.
Bellatrix and Hermione both couldn't help but smile as she scooped up a bit of scrambled eggs and bacon to go with their coffee. "I swear you girls are made out of pancakes."
The four girls smiled at her. "Grammy makes them so yummy that it is near impossible not to like them." Victoire said with her usual bright smile.
Hermione and Fleur both smiled at that, their hearts glowing with the sight of their daughters enjoy their breakfasts while chatting animatedly with their sisters.
Luna and Gabrielle also couldn't help but smile at their daughters who, while a lot like their sisters, definitely had inherited a bit of both of their mother's mischievousness and today was apparently such a day that they both felt the need to play with their food. "Girls, while we usually don't mind you making a bit of a mess. We don't have time for this today. Don't you want to see your auntie win the Championship today?"
The two blondes pouted just a little at that before they stopped messing around with their pancakes and ate them quietly, which made their mothers smile, since the two blondes could throw a hell of a tantrum when it came to food.
Bellatrix and Pandora merely smiled at their daughters, glad that they now had the opportunity to be a part of the journey of their granddaughters upbringing.
…
After breakfast the family apparated to the Holyhead Harpies Stadium, since the championship game was a home game and Ginny had arranged a private box for her family the moment she signed her extension.
Of course Nymphadora was already there, with her and Ginny's daughter Evangeline on her arm, who squirmed in her mother's arms as she saw her nieces and aunts appear.
The Metamorphmagus smiled and set down her daughter, who made a beeline to the equally excited quartet of blondes, the five of them hugging each other tightly and chattering animatedly while their parents hugged each other. "It's good to see you again Dora. How have you been?" Fleur asked with a kind smile.
"I've been doing okay. Being a full time Mom has been tiring, but very rewarding in it's own right, especially since our darling daughter inherited my abilities. Ginny freaked out the first time she turned her hair the same color as mine, which happened to be blue at that time."
Hermione and Fleur laughed lightly at that as they both glanced to her hair at this moment, which was a dark green with golden highlights. "We can imagine that, and promise if something like that happens again to take a picture. I would pay to see her face then." Hermione said with a grin.
Nymphadora grinned right back at her. "You've got yourself a deal, cousin, as long as I get a picture of when your daughters inevitably do something embarrassing that I can hold over their heads later."
Hermione and Fleur both nodded as their daughters pressed themselves against their sides again, since more people were now coming into the arena, and in a by now practiced move scooped their daughter's into their arms. "It's a little busy, isn't it, my sweets?" Hermione asked softly.
The two girls nodded as they buried their faces in their mother's necks. "It's too loud Mama." Rosalind said softly.
"Then let's go and find our seats. It's nearly time for them to come out anyway. Will you be joining us Dora?" Fleur asked kindly.
The Metamorphmagus nodded and smiled. "Yeah, aunt Cissa wasn't coming since she wanted to be sure Astoria would be okay, and I'm sure Draco can lead my Mom up to the box without issue."
They all nodded at that as they made their way up into their private box, which had a perfect view of the field, and as per usual, the five youngsters were right up at the enchanted window with Nymphadora, and after getting her wife a glass of wine, Hermione took a seat next to her sister and Mama.
"Are you okay sweetie?" Bellatrix asked softly.
Hermione nodded at her. "I'm okay Mama. Just a bit tired still. It was far too early for the night we've had."
Luna giggled at that. "You're the one that craved something more, sis. I figured you'd be used to having two Veela and your sister all over you by now."
Hermione smiled as she shot a look at her daughters, who were thankfully now distracted by Dora pointing out various things on the field. "I never said that was the issue Lu. You know I've been working on something new and one part of it is keeping me awake at night, because you know I have no issue taking everything you three can dish out."
Luna giggled softly as not to distract her daughters to their conversation. "Is there something I can help with love?"
"I don't know to be honest. I know what it is that is not working, but I can't seem to isolate and fix it. Perhaps I should just let it be a few days and do some more research, because I am sure that this might be very handy for you, Mummy and Gabrielle when I'm able to perfect it." Hermione said softly.
Luna smiled at her. "Now you're getting me even more intrigued 'Mione. What will be its use?"
"When perfected it should be able to water all plants in the greenhouse at regular intervals, knowing exactly when it is necessary to do so, which should take a lot of work off your hands." Hermione said softly.
Luna smiled and pressed a kiss to her sister's cheek. "That would indeed come in handy. Watering takes up most of our time these days, so something like that would definitely help us make better use of the time."
"That is exactly why I started working on it, but it's stubbornly refusing to cooperate with me on staying permanent, or in a fixed location. I'll figure it out." Hermione said softly.
Luna nodded at her. "I'm sure you will sister. Perhaps Mama can help you perfect it."
"I might be able to sweetie, Charms was one of my better subjects at school." Bellatrix said with a sweet smile.
Hermione smiled and nodded. "I would love that Mama. It's been far too long since we've been able to do something like this together."
Bellatrix smiled and pressed a kiss to the side of her daughter's head. "Then I'll come and find you in your sanctuary next week, probably Tuesday when the girls have their lessons with Pandora.
Hermione only nodded as they all turned their attention back to the enchanted window, where the game by now was in full swing, and as usual, the five toddlers were glued to the window trying to catch a glimpse of their aunt.
After talking to her sister and mother for a while longer, Hermione took a seat next to her wife, taking one of the blonde's hands and giving it a loving squeeze.
Fleur only smiled and leaned over to kiss her. "I love you Hermione."
"I love you too Fleur." Hermione said softly.
The blonde smiled at her as they turned their attention to the game and their daughters, both of them sharing knowing looks that at some point in the future their daughters would probably want to learn how to play the game.
Seven Years Later
By the time the four girls were eleven and had gotten their acceptance letters to Hogwarts, they were all near mirror images of their mothers. Victoire loved everything to do with Potions, already having her mind set on taking over Le Chaudron Bleu in the future, while Rosalind wanted to absorb as much knowledge as possible, and Hermione was sure that she too would keep the family tradition of brightest witch of her age alive.
Katerina had shown an aptitude for Divination, having inherited her mother's Seer powers, and more often than not made predictions that came true in one form or another. Dominique next to having a green thumb that matched her grandmother's, also had developed a vested interest in flying and Quidditch, already determined to make the Quidditch team of whatever house she would be sorted in.
Over the years the new society they had fought so hard for had gradually taken shape, with Kingsley still as Minister and a complete overhaul of the Ministry, which was now less focused on Wizarding bureaucracy and focused more on aiding the population. The blood caste as it existed had indeed been the first thing to fall, replaced by a system where one's qualifications, skills and magical ability were looked at first.
This had led various laws that allowed various races to work in areas previously unavailable to them, key among them being Remus Lupin, who had spent a long time distancing himself from Dumbledore's words after the War, being hired back as a permanent Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts and Goblins and Giants now being allowed wands if they so chose, which had led to Hagrid finally being able to complete his schooling.
Giants and Centaurs had also been granted more privileges in managing their lands, and there were now Giant enclaves in various parts of Magical Britain, carefully concealed by various charms, some of them created by Hermione and Bellatrix.
The entire family had gathered on platform nine and three quarters on the first of September to see their daughters off, with Bellatrix being there for emotional support for their daughters since Pandora had been accepted as the new Herbology Professor, which gave the girls to relax while they spent the year at Hogwarts.
The four girls were excited to go to Hogwarts, knowing that besides each other, they would also have two of their cousins there, being Dora and Ginny's daughter Evangeline, and Draco and Astoria's son Scorpius, the six having become very close over the last decade or so.
"Now remember girls, no matter which House you are sorted in, although we have a feeling that we know, we'll always love you, and if anyone gives you any trouble, always inform your Head of House, they'll do everything in their power to help you." Hermione said softly as she fussed over her daughter's robes.
Rosalind smiled and hugged the brunette. "We will Mom, and it's not like we won't keep an eye on each other too. No one is going to hurt my family if I have anything to say about it."
"Also, if someone named Potter or Weasley starts causing trouble, you have permission to go straight to auntie Minnie." Luna said sweetly.
"We will Mama, we promise." Katerina said softly.
They all smiled and pressed a kiss to the top of their daughter's heads. "Also, don't drive Grammy too crazy in Herbology, and of course you're free to visit every weekend." Fleur said with a soft smile.
The four girls smiled as Dora, Ginny and Evangeline hurried onto the platform. "Thank Merlin we're not late. I'd rather not get a letter from McGonagall already." The Metamorphmagus said panting, a bit winded from the rushing.
"I doubt she'd do that on the first day, but it's good that you're on time, because it wouldn't be right if the Band of Mischief would be incomplete on their first trip to Hogwarts." Gabrielle said with a smile.
Nymphadora grinned as she pressed a kiss to her daughter's cheek. "Have fun honey, and don't worry about your abilities. I'm sure they'll be a fast favorite with your house mates. Humor is a great deterrent for bullies after all."
Evangeline nodded and smiled, her bright blue hair bobbing as she did. "I will Mom." She said before giving her mothers and aunts a hug, followed by them boarding the train.
Fleur pulled her wife into her arms, in a similar move to her other two lovers. "We've done well mon amour. We've done all we can to prepare them. The rest is up to them."
"I know, but it's still hard to see them start this journey. This decade has gone by far too quickly."
The blonde Veela smiled and pressed a long kiss to the top of her mate's head. "They'll do amazing love. I'm more than sure of that. It was our L'amour Toujour that made them, and it will be what will get them through the next seven years.
