Now he was in a different cell, but to Ozai, there was no change to his environment.

Because to Ozai, the presence of Azula, his daughter being in a room next to him, gave absolutely no change, no positive, no silver lining.

She was hyperventilating, looking around hastily as if she were about to be in battle again. Ozai could've scoffed. After the last Agni Kai, she'd be better off as pacifist as the Avatar was in his eyes.

"Azula"

His daughter turned to him, watching.

"You've disgraced the Fire Nation" he scolded, "I thought better of you than to fail to match Zuko, but then you made it more miserable by charging at the water tribe girl"

Azula's lip curled.

Ozai continued, "You know the honour of an Agni Kai, and you discarded it. You've disgraced the nation, and you've disgraced me"

But she didn't respond, and Ozai realised that she wasn't even processing what he was saying, only muttering one line to reply to him.

"Zuko…has honour"

Ozai turned away at her words, as it was all true that between her, him and his son, only one had left the war with honour.

"Are you sure I should do this"

Zuko looked at Aang as move a hand towards the crown of the Fire Nation, a invitation which he was about to accept.

"I'm sure" Aang replied.

"What else is there" Toph said, poking her head through the doorway, "did the balance of the elements say anything about a nation becoming a republic"

Aang paused, "can I get back to you on that one"

He turned back to Zuko.

"If you're worried about the past, you shouldn't. The past three Fire Lords…or four depending how you count…they've had their time. It's time for a new one"

He gestured to the crown, "So, what do you say"

Zuko looked once more at the crown, and with a hand, accepted his role as the new Fire Lord.

The End

A/N: So I found a way to get a bit more writing on this fic, and I hope you enjoyed the three chapters.
