Chapter 13

Clemont asks, curiosity evident in his eyes, "So, you called every one of us here surely not just to talk about your engagement plans, right?"

Ash smiles, his eyes glinting with excitement. "You got it. The thing is, during these years, Alice and I have been working on a project. Have you guys heard of the Sevestar Region?"

Kieran leans forward, clearly interested. "Isn't that a new region that was discovered a month ago? The news was all around the region."

"And guess who the champion of the region is," Lillie chuckles, her eyes twinkling with amusement as she glances at Ash. Everyone turns to look at Ash with expressions of shock and disbelief.

"No way... you?" Goh exclaims, his voice filled with amazement.

Ash shakes his head with a proud smile. "Wrong. Alice and I are both Champions. Those who defeated the Elite Four can either face me or Alice depending on what they want."

Cilan shakes his head in disbelief. "A region with two champions is unheard of."

Golly grins, leaning in with a twinkle in her eye. "Then you will be even more surprised when you hear that there are actually 18 gym leaders in the region, each specializing in one type. And the Elite Four specializes in two types."

"For real?" Misty exclaims, her eyes wide with astonishment. "What's the purpose of the 18 gyms and the dual-typed Elite Four?"

Alice's grin widens as she explains, "The Sevestar Region was designed to be the ultimate challenge for trainers. By having 18 gyms, each specializing in a different type, trainers must demonstrate their versatility and adaptability. The dual-typed Elite Four members take this challenge even further, requiring trainers to devise strategies that can handle the complexity of two types at once."

Kiawe nods thoughtfully, his competitive spirit ignited. "That sounds intense. It really pushes trainers to be at their best, ensuring they can handle any situation thrown at them."

Lana, her curiosity piqued, asks, "How did you and Alice get involved with the Sevestar Region?"

Ash exchanges a glance with Alice before replying, "The thing is, the region was only just a small island five years ago. It was a property owned by my father, a secret hideout for him to avoid his parents."

Alice continues, her voice taking on a somber tone. "It was a tragic Romeo and Juliet-like story. Ash's father used to love my mother before they were forced to separate. When they met again, Ash's father already had Ash's mother, and my mother was with my father."

The room falls silent as everyone processes the emotional weight of Alice's revelation. Nemona's eyes soften with understanding, and she places a comforting hand on Alice's shoulder. "That sounds really tough for both of your families," she says gently.

Clemont nods, his expression thoughtful. "It's amazing how you both managed to overcome such a complicated history."

Brock, always the steady voice of reason, adds, "Love has a way of bringing people together, even when the odds are against them."

Misty looks at Ash with newfound admiration. "It must have taken a lot of strength to move past all that history."

Goh, still trying to wrap his head around the story, asks, "So, what happened with your families? How did things get better?"

Ash takes a deep breath, his expression turning serious. "My family's story is really complicated, but I'm happy that the bad blood has ended. If it hadn't, Alice and I would have been taught to become enemies, and we don't want that."

Mark then explains, his voice heavy with emotion, "Sevestar Island has been abandoned ever since our father died. Team Rocket led the attack that caused his death. It wasn't just him, though—Golly died too."

Everyone turns to look at Golly with shock, their expressions a mix of confusion and disbelief. They had no idea she had died.

Golly takes a deep breath, her eyes reflecting a mix of sorrow and resilience. "After my death, when I was three years old, the grudge I held turned me into a monster lurking in the Pokémon Tower. I devoured souls for a long time, consumed by my own bitterness. But then Ash and Alice came. They stopped me and, through their strength and compassion, revived me, turning me back to who I am now."

The room is silent as the weight of Golly's story sinks in. Carmine's eyes are wide with disbelief. "That's... unbelievable. I can't even imagine what you went through."

Penny, ever the logical thinker, shakes her head in amazement. "It's incredible how you've come through such a dark past."

Brock places a hand on Golly's shoulder, his voice steady and comforting. "It takes a lot of strength to move past something like that. You're truly remarkable."

"Golly's return really brings joy to Mom and me," Ash explains. "Though it was not easy to clean the darkness inside Golly's heart. That's why, as the head of the International Police, Mom decided to bring Golly in and train her to become part of the International Police."

"So it's just like Looker," Iris comments, her eyes wide with interest.

The group nods, impressed by the resilience and determination of Ash's family. The conversation then shifts back to the Sevestar Region.

Sophocles, always curious, asks, "So, is the Sevestar Region made by you and Alice from that island? And since there are Legendary Pokémon that can help expand the territory, how did the population come?"

Ash nods, ready to explain. "The population comes from another dimension, a place where the world was terrorized by Team Rainbow Rocket and was on the verge of collapse. Alice and I have been trying to save as many people as we could, but unfortunately, not everyone could be saved."

Alice continues, her voice tinged with sadness. "It was heart-wrenching to see so many lives in danger, but we're grateful for those we managed to bring to Sevestar. They now have a chance to rebuild and start anew."

Mallow, her eyes wide with curiosity, interjects, "How did you even manage to travel between dimensions? That sounds like an incredible feat."

Ash replies, "We had help from Legendary Pokémon like Dialga and Palkia, who control time and space. They created portals for us to travel through. It was risky, but it was the only way to save those people."

May steps forward, her expression serious. "Brendan and Lucas are from that other world. They lived through the chaos and destruction caused by Team Rainbow Rocket."

Gasps and murmurs ripple through the group, the shock evident on their faces.

Gasps and murmurs ripple through the group, the shock evident on their faces.

Kiawe asks, "Wait, you two are from another dimension?"

Brendan sighs, "Yeah, but I am not lying when I said Professor Birch is my father. It is just he's my father from another dimension."

Lucas adds, "Same here. Ash and Alice were kind enough to let us meet our family in this world, and they are also happy to bring us into the family. However, some weren't that fortunate... like my original sister Dawn..."

Dawn frowns, her expression somber. "Ash, Alice, Serena, May, and I have souls from the other dimension of our counterparts merged with us, because in the original version they died in front of Ash and Alice. Those who died before Ash and Alice went to that world, on the other hand, were not fortunate enough to be brought to this world and merge."

The room falls silent again, the weight of the revelations settling over everyone. Chloe looks at Dawn, her eyes filled with empathy. "That's so heartbreaking. I can't imagine going through something like that."

Clemont, his analytical mind racing, asks, "How does it feel, having another person's soul and memories merged with yours?"

Serena, her voice gentle but firm, responds, "It's overwhelming at times, but it also makes us stronger. We carry their hopes and dreams with us, and we want to honor their memories by making this world a better place."

Goh, reflecting on the information, nods. "It must be a huge responsibility, but it's clear that you all are doing an incredible job."

Ash, standing beside Alice, looks around at his friends. "It hasn't been easy, but having all of you here, supporting us, makes a huge difference. We're grateful for every one of you."

Alice adds, "And together, we'll continue to build a better future for everyone in Sevestar."

Then Brock asks, turning to May, "Since Max isn't here, is he a gym leader in Sevestar?"

May nods, smiling. "That's correct. Max is now the Fighting Type Gym Leader."

Misty looks surprised. "I thought he would have chosen the Normal type because of your father."

Ash jumps in, chuckling. "Remember the Shroomish and Ralts that he befriended? And there were also some Fighting types he bonded with along the way. They have become his powerhouses."

Nemona, her competitive spirit shining through, turns to Ash. "So, do you want a battle?"

Ash sighs, a playful smile on his face. "I've battled you a lot of times, Nemona. How about letting Alice take this one?"

Alice steps forward, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'd love to battle you, Nemona. Let's see how our skills match up!"

Alice and Nemona step outside Ash's house, creating a makeshift battlefield in the open area. The rest of the group gathers around, eager to watch the match unfold.

Nemona releases her Midday Lycanroc, the wolf-like Pokémon landing gracefully on the ground, eyes locked onto its opponent. "Lycanroc, let's show them what we've got!"

Alice throws her Poké Ball into the air, and with a burst of light, Abomasnow appears, towering over Lycanroc. "Abomasnow, let's give it our best!"

The battle begins with Nemona calling out the first move. "Lycanroc, use Accelerock!"

Lycanroc charges at Abomasnow with blinding speed, slamming into the larger Pokémon with a powerful hit. Abomasnow staggers but quickly regains its footing.

Alice remains calm. "Abomasnow, use Ice Shard!"

Abomasnow hurls sharp shards of ice at Lycanroc, striking it with precision. Lycanroc growls but shakes off the damage.

Nemona commands, "Lycanroc, use Stone Edge!"

Sharp, jagged stones rise from the ground and shoot towards Abomasnow. Alice reacts quickly. "Abomasnow, dodge and use Blizzard!"

Abomasnow leaps to the side, narrowly avoiding the Stone Edge. It then unleashes a fierce Blizzard, the icy wind and snow engulfing Lycanroc. Lycanroc struggles against the cold, its movements slowing.

Nemona grits her teeth. "Lycanroc, don't give up! Use Crunch!"

Lycanroc dashes towards Abomasnow, fangs bared and ready to bite down. Alice stays composed. "Abomasnow, block it with Wood Hammer!"

Abomasnow's arm glows with green energy as it swings it down, colliding with Lycanroc's Crunch. The impact sends Lycanroc skidding backward.

Nemona, determined, calls out, "Lycanroc, use Rock Slide!"

Rocks rain down on Abomasnow, but Alice is ready. "Abomasnow, finish this with Focus Blast!"

Abomasnow charges up a powerful sphere of energy and fires it directly at Lycanroc. The Focus Blast hits its mark, exploding with force. Lycanroc is thrown back and lands hard on the ground, unable to continue the fight.

Nemona recalls Lycanroc, a smile on her face despite the loss. "That was an incredible battle, Alice. Your Abomasnow is amazing."

Alice beams with pride. "Thank you, Nemona. Your Lycanroc was really strong too."

The group erupts in applause, cheering for both trainers and their impressive battle.

Nemona recalls Lycanroc, a smile on her face despite the loss. "That was an incredible battle, Alice. You really do have what it takes to be a champion."

Alice beams with pride. "Thank you, Nemona. I used to be a huge fan of Ash's. I always kept notes on his battles and even improved some of his strategies."

Bonnie chuckles. "You're just like Sawyer, always analyzing and learning from Ash."

Ash nods, looking a bit sheepish. "I feel like I owe Alice a lot. It was because of my performance before Alola that she got bullied in school."

Everyone's eyes widen in surprise, and they start asking questions all at once. "What happened?" "Why was she bullied?"

Alice takes a deep breath, her expression turning somber. "I suffered a lot of bullying and was forced to drop out of school. It was a tough time, but I kept pushing forward because of my admiration for Ash."

Penny, who had been quietly listening, comments, "Bullying is a serious issue. I know how it feels. That's why I formed Team Star back in the day, a group of students who suffered from bullying and decided to fight back. But things went too far, and Team Star became villains in the eyes of many. I felt responsible and was forced to leave school for 18 months."

Ash nods in agreement. "Penny's right. It's important to support each other and create safe environments, but it's also crucial to handle things the right way."

The group listens attentively, understanding the gravity of the situation. Their admiration for Alice grows, knowing the challenges she overcame to reach where she is now.

I'll end the chapter here, the next chapter will be going to the Sevestar Region and I hope you like it.
