Hi, Chocolate here (yay, finally decided on a name!). Sorry for not updating a few days ago (though if anyone cares is beyond me since it's pretty likely no one had continuously read all three chapters yet), but here's chapter four with District Seven.

Oh, and here since I forgot to do it before.

Disclaimer: I have twice wished for it on a shooting star, but so far, absolutely no luck. I don't own Hetalia or the Hunger Games, wouldn't mind if I did though.

Eliza Magya, 17, D7

Eliza stared at the place on her finger where a ring would have been nestled. She could almost see it, the small diamonds glinting in the Justice Building's dim lighting. It was shaped like an edelweiss, petals delicately fanning out while the stem curled snugly around her finger. It wasn't officially hers yet, as their savings wasn't enough for buying it, but the kind shop owner had lent it to Aust for the proposal, smiling in her kind way and telling them it was okay since Eliza would be able to pay the price soon anyhow. They had gotten a pair, with Aust getting the music note one Eliza loved on him.

The shopkeeper had come in earlier and taken it from her, her sad, old eyes crinkling around the corners as they glazed over with tears, but the rings had been expensive, and nobody in District Seven could afford to let such an amount of money slip through their fingers.

They'll never get to wear the pair together now. Now that she was going into the Hunger Games.

Because sure, she had pretty good upper-arm strength from work, and yes, when armed with a frying pan, she was pretty good in fights at school, especially against Pru, the guy who kept teasing Aust all the time. But this was no schoolyard fight, settled with a few swings of her trusty pan. This was the Hunger Games, where career killers who'd trained for years were going to hunt her down.

And she won't even be able to see the person she'll miss the most for one last time.

The door swung open as her parents flung themselves inside, sobbing. Mom held her close, weeping openly while dad held back, still attempting to look strong as he gave the two some space. Awkwardly, Eliza returned the hug, not really sure of her movements. On the one hand, this was the last time she'll ever see her parents, but on the other hand, they'd basically kicked her out after finding out she used their money to buy Aust a piano, leading to her life chopping trees and renting an apartment on the edge of District Seven.

Mom grabbed her by the shoulder, pressing their faces close together as she kept sobbing, words tumbling out in an incoherent stream as tears soaked through her dress. Nearby, dad still stood back, trying to hold everything in, but a few rebellious tears still left trails down his cheeks as he furiously dabbed at his eyes with a napkin. Despite the touching scene in front of her, Eliza still felt somewhat removed from the woman crying in front of her. Before, she'd treated her like trash and thrown her out to the streets, they hadn't seen each other in years, and now she was sad and scared of losing her?

She was still her mom though, and Eliza didn't want her last memories of District Seven to be angry. After Aust fainted when she was Reaped, the only ones who remotely cared were her parents. So in the end, she hugged them back and let them cry onto her shoulder to sooth their guilty consciences.

The Peacekeepers knocked once on the door before unceremoniously sweeping in, hustling her parents out and slamming the door behind them, leaving her alone in the building. Eliza watched, not sure whether to feel desperate or full of despair or simply not care or...She just wasn't sure what to think right now. She didn't want her last glimpse of District Seven to be some couple who once hated her and only now missed her, she wanted it to be Aust, who'd stuck by her as the two muddled through life, trying to take on jobs to afford rent and medication. Aust who had proposed to her last week, coughing from the effort but still getting onto one knee before her as he held up the edelweiss ring, still managing to look regal despite rain dripping down his hair and the mud stains on his clothes.

She'd said yes of course, and last week had been a blur of happiness, and excitement. It had all been surreal, and sometimes she didn't want to go to sleep in case it was a dream.

Going into the Games had brought everything to a screeching halt.

With some more time to spare before visiting time was over, Eliza stared at the door, waiting for someone to come. Hoping against all hope that Aust would just come in, miraculously recovering from one of his spells, and then just play on the piano in the room's corner. They'd sold the one Eliza had given him when things had gotten really tight, but before that, every day Aust would play, letting the melody drift through their small apartment when she returned from another exhausting shift at work.

What she wouldn't give to just relive all that again.

Eliza's mind started to wander as the doors didn't open, floating back to the happier times before the Reapings...

Eliza pushed open the door to the instrument shop, grumbling to herself as she entered. Her parents had wanted her to become more ladylike instead of hanging out with Pru and the other guys, doing 'guy things'. Their solution had been to get her to play an instrument, and to them, a violin had been the gentlest and most 'ladylike' choice.

Violins also broke really easily, and she was awful at playing the instrument, jumbling up notes as she pulled herself through session after boring session while constantly longing to be outside, sneaking outside to hunt with Pru, Vlad, and the others. Pru was even going to be bringing his little brother, the super adorable Lud, and instead of having fun with them and knocking Pru down a few pegs, she was stuck in a small music shop getting her violin fixed for the umpteenth time in the short month she'd spent learning to play.

Grumbling to herself, Eliza placed the violin on the shop owner's desk, plopping herself down on a nearby chair expecting another hour of boredom. She was so caught up internally grumbling at missing out on watching Lud and Feli together she didn't even notice the doorbell ring as a ragged looking teen stumbled in, coughing as he made his way to the shop's centerpiece, its ancient mahogany piano.

Correction, she didn't notice until the boy started to play.

An ethereal melody drifted from the keys of the ancient piano, elegant and haunting as the rich resonance echoed throughout the small shop. Even though she knew next to nothing about music, Eliza could still understand there was a master at work. Quietly creeping over so she didn't disturb the music, she peeked over the piano's top at the young musician.

The boy had a look of concentration his face as his fingers danced over the ivory keys, coaxing out each note delicately and weaving them into a harmonious tapestries full of wild colors. He looked like he was in an entirely world, just him and the music as he played with practiced ease, sometimes fingers moving too fast to catch as the song sped up while other times gliding slowly over the keys to produce smooth and connected strings of notes. As the music continued, Eliza felt like she was also, slowly being integrated into the fantastical, private world of the boy and music. Closing her eyes, she simply stood there as the melody continued, soaking it all in.

There was one last sweet note, then silence swept over the shop again. Eliza re-opened her eyes, smiling as she met the young man's gaze.

The young man returned the smile somewhat awkwardly, as if startled to find someone watching him play, "Hello." His cheeks were flushed, though Eliza couldn't really tell what from, and he sounded so regal. Even that one word sounded formal and elegant.

"Hi, that was amazing!" Eliza grinned as the pianist fiddled with his shirt sleeve awkwardly, a small smile making its way up his face.

"Thank you. I'm Aust, Aust Edel." The pianist shyly held out a hand, and Eliza quickly complied, shaking it.

"Nice to meet you, Aust. I'm Eliza." The two were going to continue their conversation, but a shadow looming over them put a pause in their chatter.

The shopkeeper held up the fixed violin to Eliza, "Here you go, miss. Call whenever you need anything again." Then, he turned to Aust and his entire expression shifted, becoming guarded, cold, and ful of anger.

"And, you, get out of my shop." Eliza watched as Aust shrank back against the piano's seat, "I can't have high-class customers complaining about some street rat stinking the place up."

"Hey, stop that, Mr. Shopkeeper Guy." She hurriedly stepped between the two, "Aust here's a great musician and should be allowed to play however he want!"

"But Miss..." Eliza sent a glare at the shopkeeper, pulling rank for once. Frowning, the shopkeeper bowed stiffly, "Of course Mr. Edel can come and go as he wishes."

"See, you're fine now." Eliza smiled as the pianist uncurled himself, once again sitting up and placing his fingers delicately on the piano, "Please play another piece." Aust had smiled at the mention and began 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik', a piece from long ago, even before the dark ages.

She loved that smile, and throughout the years the two had been together, she'd tried to get it over and over.

That was what she wanted her last memory of District Seven to be, but she knew it wasn't meant to be when the doors opened and two Peacekeepers marched in.

Felic Ita, 12, D7

Felic couldn't stop the tears streaming down his face as he buried his face in one of the Justice building's fancy pillows. He couldn't believe he was Reaped, and then he'll go into the Games, and he'll never see Luddy again. He'll never hear sorella yell at him or nonno flirt with the ladies or take a siesta with Gino an Gio in the sun or... He hugged the pillow tighter, waiting for nonno and sorella to come and tell him everything was okay and just pretend for a few seconds that he wasn't going to die and never see them again and- No, he'll come back, right? The other tributes wouldn't actually kill him, right? They were all still people after all, and people were nice and didn't kill each other and leave families sad just for others watching on TV.

The doors edged open as Ludwig and Sakura walked inside. Ludwig looking as serious as ever with his slicked up blond hair and strict blue eyes, while Sakura's brown eyes still let no trace of emotion slip. However, as soon as the two stepped into the room, Felic could see his friends' composures crack as they stood in front of him, not really sure what to do, finally, Sakura spoke.

"It was a pleasure knowing you, Felic-san." Through his tears, Felic smiled at Sakura's formalities. Even though they'd been friends for years and years, Sakura always sounded like they were meeting for the first time, she was just really polite like that.

"Ve, please, Sakura, just call me Felic." Felic smiled as the quiet girl nodded before stepping back, using her sleeve to blot at her eyes as she kept up her neutral face. Despite everything getting turned upside down and him going into the Games, Sakura was still her stiff and formal self, and it, in a way, was really reassuring.

"Of course, Felic." With that, Sakura bowed and retreated, giving Felic one last wave before she stepped out the door, leaving Felic alone with Lud. For a few moments, the two sat in awkward silence, Felic sank back uncomfortably onto the couch, wondering what to do as his friend paced back-and-forth in front of him, wearing a groove in the red carpet.

"Join an alliance stronger than you." Ludwig lectured as he paced, "Eat as much as you can before the Games and practice your speed, you've always been fast." Yes he was, when there was pasta. Felic was pretty sure fleeing from a blood thirsty career will also get him into the mood.

"Secure a water source, then use snares to hunt animals for survival-"

Felic's hand shot up into the air, "Ve, will I have to kill the animals?" He didn't want to kill anything, it was all so cruel and terrible, and what if he needed to murder a cute little rabbit, or even a kitty like Gino and Gio? He wouldn't be able to do it...

Lud growled, "Felic, look at me." Felic obliged, gazing into his friend's stern blue eyes, "You have to kill to survive. You need to learn to kill and come back to all of us." In an uncharacteristic move, Lud stepped forward and enfolded Felic in a quick hug. It lasted only a second, then he was gone, the heavy doors slamming shut after his friend.

Almost immediately, the door flew open again with a bang and Felic looked up as sorella stormed inside, followed by nonno as the Peacekeepers slammed the door behind them, cutting off the small ray of sunshine wiggling itself inside. As soon as the door closed, Lovi stormed forward and Felic shrank back, waiting for the inevitable to come. Lovi was going to yell at him, or slap him, or yell at him and slap him-

Instead, his sister wrapped her arms around him as she pulled him close in the first hug she'd started since they were six. A few teardrops swirled in her eyes before sliding down her cheeks, but for once she didn't immediately wipe them away, instead letting them fall freely.

"Stupid idiota getting Reaped." She stood up and crossed her arms, angrily dabbing away at her eyes, Felic smiled at the scene, "Come back to us, Feli, or I swear to god I will go and revive you just so I can kill you again even more painfully than how you died the first time!" Felic gulped at the threat, yes, this was the sorella he knew and loved.

He nodded, "Ve~, I will try and do my best-" Lovi scowled, jerking his chin down so they were staring at each other, face to face.

"Don't just try, you idiot, win." Ve, his sorella looked really scary like that, "I know normally you're too scared to cross the street in front of a big dog, but you have to survive." She pounded a fist into her hand for emphasis, "Don't you dare get attached to anyone, not your allies, not anyone, capiche?"

Felic nodded as sorella ranted, listening tearfully as she talked about backstabbing and deaths and bloodbaths. He won't really have to kill anyone, right? The mere thought of a knife in his hands and red washing over his hands made him sad and sick, and he knew he couldn't ever kill anyone. He couldn't even think about killing a kitty, but another human? Someone with their own lives and families who will miss them when they're gone and...

But if he was going to come back to sorella and nonno and Gino and Gio and Luddy and everyone else, he needed to do it.

"One minute left before Visiting ends."

"Fuck that Potato Bastard!" Sorella yelled, kicking the sofa, "How come he gets to cut into our time-?"

"Ve, sorella, I want him here." Nonno took the hint, gently prying Lovi off Felic as she squirmed. Depositing her safely in a corner, nonno came back and hugged Felic, both grandfather and grandson crying as Felic curled up into his grandpa's hug, just like when he was little and they were rich, when nonno used to read them bedtime stories and cuddle with him until he fell asleep in the warm safety of home.

Before long the Peacekeepers grew impatient and stomped in, dragging grandfather and grandson apart, leaving Felic alone again. The last thing he saw before the doors shut him away from District Seven was sorella's encouraging scowl and nonno's sad smile.

The characters might be really sappy and stuff these two chapters, but give them some slack. They've literally just been told 'lol you're going to die', so yeah.

Here at the end, something else I forgot to put in the other chapters (sheepishly smiles), I do tend to forget a lot of things don't I. Anyway, please R+R, even a 'this is absolute crap' would be pretty nice. Then I'd know someone at least kinda cares. Reviews make me feel like Iggy when someone eats his scones :-)
