Author's notes: should have mentioned this last chapter. It's not relevant to this story but a while ago I came across a story on A03 called 'A Cup Of Milky' by AA294. It's an AU story that involves Moxxie and Milky hooking up. It's fluffy, smutty and very well done.
—-
The next morning, Moxxie, Millie and Milky all woke up.
"Good morning ladies," Moxxie said. "I would like to use the shower first. That way, I can work on breakfast while you two are taking your turns."
"Sounds good," Milky agreed.
Sometime later, the three of them were sitting at the kitchen table of the apartment. Moxxie had made scrambled eggs and toast for everyone. Milky took a bite of eggs.
"Unholy shit, I had no idea scrambled eggs could taste this good," Milky complemented.
"Yeah, Moxxie's a great cook," Millie said. The three of them continued eating for a while.
"Now Milky," Moxxie spoke up, "could you give Millie and I a ride later today? We're meeting up with Verosika at a clothing store at One o'clock. She wants to make sure we're dressed appropriately for the party tonight since we're her bodyguards and we might be seen with her."
"Where is the clothing store?" Milky asked. Moxxie told her the location. "I'll give you a ride. And I know a great place for lunch near there. I already checked online and I found a pawn shop in that part of town so when we're done, we can sell our loot from last night."
"Sounds good," Millie said.
"Would you mind if I drove?" Moxxie asked. "I haven't driven in over a year and would like to get in some practice."
"Sure but only because of how great these eggs are," Milky agreed.
"I'm okay with that," Moxxie said.

A few hours later, Milky had brought Moxxie and Millie to the clothing store Verosika had specified. About five minutes later, Verosika showed up wearing a sort of punk get-up with a leather jacket, a black skirt and her hair in a ponytail along with black sunglasses in an attempt to hopefully not be recognized.
"What are you doing here, Milky?" Verosika asked.
"I gave Moxxie and Millie a lift after the three of us had lunch," Milky answered.
"She took us to a casual seafood place," Millie began, "where the waiters were shirtless and the waitresses wore seashell bras."
"Food wasn't as great as the ambience but still very good," Moxxie piped in.
"We also had sex last night," Milky added.
"Was it necessary to bring that up?" Moxxie asked with a hint of irritation.
"Why? Are you ashamed of last night?" Milky retorted.
"Not even a little bit," Moxxie answered with a smug grin, "but I wouldn't have brought it up just for the sake of bringing it up."
"Really?" Milky replied. "Most guys would be eager to share about being with two women at the same time."
"Oh yeah," Moxxie said as he rubbed his chin in thought. "Never mind."
"Anyway," Milky said as she turned towards Verosika, "they told me about you taking them clothes shopping and I said I wanted to tag along. Hope that's alright."
"Sure," Verosika said. She then started walking around the store and motioned for the three shorter demons to follow her. She picked out a few outfits for Moxxie and Millie each and instructed them to go to the changing rooms.
After a few attempts, Moxxie and Millie came out of the changing rooms with outfits that Verosika approved of. Moxxie was wearing a bluish gray T-shirt with tight black pants and a black jacket while Millie was wearing a black mini skirt with a black crop top.
The four of them walked over to the counter and Verosika paid for the outfits. The two imps were currently wearing plus a few others. Verosika had chosen to pay for them out of gratitude for how they thwarted the assassination attempt on their first day. Even better, Coco had gone through a few bureaucratic hoops to write off the clothes shopping as a business expense since it was important that Millie and Moxxie looked good while being associated with her.
"So I am going directly to Beelze's place," Verosika began. "Anyone want to come with me?"
"A little early for that, isn't it?" Milky asked. Verosika wasn't going on stage until six and since Beelze was going to arrange for all of the prep work to be handled for them because she was cool like that, they only needed an hour for a final rundown and Verosika would get there over ninety minutes before that.
"Yeah," Verosika admitted. "But I want to be extra sure that everything's ready for me when I go on stage. Besides, I'd rather help myself to any booze she's offering before the party actually starts because I don't want to risk getting drunk around a bunch of strangers. So again: anyone want to go with me?"
"I'll go with you," Moxxie said. "I can do my own check of the place beforehand."
"Sounds good," Verosika said.
The two of them got into Verosika's personal vehicle: a bright pink sports car. After a few minutes of driving, Verosika spoke up.
"So you, Millie and Milky," Verosika said. "How exactly did that happen?"
"Millie and I," Moxxie began, "decided that adding a third person might be a great way to keep things interesting. You may recall at Coco and Apple's place that Millie not-so-subtly tried to get Kiki on board but found out that just wasn't going to happen."
"I remember Kiki suggesting that you two were looking for a third and Millie not denying it. I suppose I should've seen that as the same as an admission. What made you two consider Milky?"
"She and Millie seem to really hit it off due to both being from Wrath. That's why Millie thought that Milky might be interested in this little hobby of ours."
Moxxie then began explaining his and Millie's hobby of reverse mugging.
"Milky was really into it," Moxxie finished.
"That does not surprise me at all," Verosika said. "She ever tell you about how she fucked up the guy that killed Donnie?"
"Several times, whether I asked about it or not," Moxxie answered. "Anyway, when we decided we had done enough killing for the night, Milky invited us back to her place. Things went exactly as you imagined after that. I thought it was a personal quirk of Millie's that she considered sex and violence two great tastes that taste great together but now I think it might be more common among Wrath girls."
"So how was sex with Milky?"
"Fantastic. It was a little embarrassing that I could tell she'd been with men much larger than me which made her less tight than I prefer but the blowjob she gave me more than made up for that."
"Yeah, Milky's oral skills are out of this world."
Shit, Verosika thought. I probably shouldn't have said that but something about Moxxie is just so disarming. Ironic, considering he's a firearms specialist.
There was an awkward silence as Moxxie thought about how Verosika sounded like she knew that from personal experience.
"Ummm," the imp sharp-shooter stammered out as he failed to form the words to express himself.
"Yes, Milky and I have had sex," Verosika confirmed. "Right after the attempt on my life that killed Donnie, Milky suggested taking me to a safe house until things could be settled. Her safe house was really just her uncle's cabin in the woods of Wrath. The only recreational options there were books and board games since her uncle and his family go there to unplug."
"Seems redundant," Moxxie interjected, "with how unplugged Wrath is by default."
"My thoughts exactly," Verosika agreed. "We quickly came to the conclusion that there wasn't much to do except each other. I'm trusting you to not tell everyone else about this. Milky and I agreed it would just be a one time thing and that telling the rest of the crew would needlessly complicate things. The big part of why I'm telling you this is that compared to trusting you with my life, trusting you with this doesn't seem like a really big deal."
"All right," Moxxie said. "Did I tell you that I've met Beelze before?"
"No," Verosika's answered. "When did that happen?"
"Right after the little get together at Coco and Apple's," Moxxie started and then began explaining what happened with Beelze's surprise visit. "And before leaving, she used her food magic or whatever you call it to provide us with some much needed groceries."
"Yeah, she's awesome like that," Verosika said. "What do you think of my music?"
"I… don't see how that's relevant," Moxxie attempted to deflect from the question.
"Come on Moxxie. If I can trust you with my life, then you can trust me not to punish you for being honest."
"Honestly, I can tell that you're a great singer but your insipid lyrics and over reliance on sex appeal detract from that."
"I absolutely agree with you."
"Come again?" Moxxie asked in bewilderment.
"I would like to make music that's more," Verosika paused as she tried to think of the word she wanted, "substantive but the soulless, sexy stuff is highly profitable so my best option is to keep going with the flow on that. Especially since that's what the label wants in exchange for footing all the up-front expenses that go into my music. I'll try making something more substantive if trends change or I save up enough money to make something on my own."
Sometime later, Moxxie and Verosika arrived at Beelzebub's place.
"Hey Verosika," Beelze greeted and conjured up a drink for the popstar. Verosika took and enjoyed the drink.
"Thank you," Verosika complimented. "Just so you know, I won't be drinking as much as usual during the party."
"That's fine," Beelzebub said, then looked at Moxxie. "Nice threads Moxxie."
"You remember me," Moxxie said, touched that he had apparently made a lasting impression on one of the sins. "The clothes are a gift from Verosika. Which is great because at something like this, my usual suit might get me mistaken for one of the waitstaff. I'm going to go around the place and check for any vulnerable spots that can be reinforced."
"Before you start that, take this," Beelze interrupted and gave him a green wristband. "This will get you into one of the V.I.P lounges."
"They're not as nice as they sound," Verosika said. "They're really just sound-proofed side rooms with very few amenities."
"Thank you," Moxxie said to Beelze with immense relief. Once Verosika was done performing, he, Millie and Vortex would be discharged to enjoy themselves while Verosika would take turns being near other members of her entourage. It was unlikely any assassin would try anything while surrounded by so many partygoers so her security would be relaxed. He'd never been to something as large as this party was looking to be and was expecting to retreat to this lounge to handle everything in manageable doses.
—
After Moxxie did his check, the rest of Verosika's entourage showed up including Vortex who brought Moxxie's rifle. He got set up overlooking Verosika while she performed.
After Verosika performed, Moxxie started mingling with the crowd.
"Hello Moxxie," Moxxie heard from behind him. He turned around and came face to face with one particular shark demon that he was hoping to never see again.
"Chaz," Moxxie said aloud in shock. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here for the party," Chaz explained and looked Moxxie up and down. "And I thought the best part of this party would be getting my hands on some drugs from Belephegor's private stash. Lookin' good, Moxxie."
"If you're hoping to reconnect, that's not going to happen," Moxxie said with an angry glare.
"If this is about how I broke up with you… " Chaz began.
"I know it was because my dad paid you," Moxxie preemptively countered, still glaring. "He had me handling the family books at the time. That's how I know it only took five hundred souls for him to pay you off."
"The money was secondary to him not slicing off my junk," Chazz explained. "Which he said he'd do in segments. Like salami. Which would be excruciating cause I have such a huge dick." Moxxie's only response was to groan in annoyance. "More importantly, he's dead now so there's nothing stopping us from getting back together," he finished with a sleazy grin.
"Except," Moxxie began to counter, "that I'm with someone else now who's made me realize how much of a crappy partner you were. Case in point: if you really cared about me, you'd have pretended to accept my dad's offer then ran away from him with me."
"If we'd tried running, your dad would have chased us, killed me and done who-knows-what to you to keep you from trying to escape again."
"The fact that you feared him more than you loved me proves I'm better off without you."
Chaz had no intention of giving up but decided that withdrawing for now might be best.
"All right Moxxie," Chaz began. "You know, everyone else thought you were a pussy for bolting after your dad was killed but it looks like you had the right idea."
"Did anyone figure out who killed him?" Moxxie asked.
"We never confirmed it but the fact that Vinnie went AWOL the same night your dad was killed and right after refusing to give Vinnie his own turf to run definitely suggests he did it. We've never tracked down Vinnie. After your dad died, things started going to shit and we couldn't focus on that."
"I knew that with my dad gone things were going to get worse with no guarantee they'd ever get better. How right was I?"
"Very. With your dad out of the way, most of his lieutenants decided to take a shot at becoming the next don rather than admit that Alessio being your dad's right-hand meant that job should go to him. The family broke into factions and a civil war broke out over who'd take over. It only lasted for five days before Alessio got a hold of Nick and convinced him, likely with the aid of pliers and at least one car battery, to submit to Alessio being the new don. This forced alliance made up over a third of the family and made the other factions pause the shooting long enough to talk things through."
"But almost as soon as the shooting stopped," Chaz continued, "we were attacked by the noneofyobusiness syndicate. They were probably watching for when the civil war stopped so they could attack before we started recovering. The syndicate took over forty percent of our turf before stopping and I think that was only because they were worried that pushing more would spread their forces too thin. And after that, several of the ex-lieutenants banded together and demanded that they be given family turf and holdings to start their own gang. Alessio agreed because he was worried that another civil war would be followed by another offensive from the syndicate. When the dust finally settled, the family had lost more than half its turf. I'm one of Alessio's lieutenants now but I haven't gone as high up in the world as that sounds."
"I'm guessing your promotion," Moxxie began, "had less to do with your own accomplishments and more to do with how all the chaos you described created a lot of openings in the family's command structure."
"Yeah," Chaz awkwardly admitted. "All the shooting and death created a lot of openings that needed to be filled. Speaking of which….."
"No means no, shithead," Moxxie angrily yelled as he opened his jacket and showed he had a gun (that he was allowed to have on him as Verosika's bodyguard).
"I like this new feisty side of you," Chaz responded, bizarrely unaffected by the implied death threat.
"Are you all right Mox?" Millie asked as she walked up to Moxxie after seeing him getting worked up over something from a distance. She got a closer look at who Moxxie was talking to and was surprised to see who it was. "Chaz? What are ya doin' here?"
"I'm here for the party," Chaz answered. "Though it's good to see you again."
"How do you two know each other?" Moxxie asked.
"We hooked up once," Millie explained. "Is this creep botherin' you?"
"Very much so," Moxxie answered, his mood picking up considerably. "Can you please make him go away in the most violent way you feel like?"
"Sure thing hon," Millie responded with a wide grin as she cracked her knuckles while facing Chaz.
"That won't be necessary," Chaz said and turned to leave. Much as he would love for this to lead to a three-way with the two imps, he decided to quit while he was still un-maimed.
"Thanks Millie," Moxxie said with a relieved smile.
Moxxie began thinking about his encounter with Chaz. This unplanned case of his past catching up with him got him thinking that maybe he should tell Millie everything.
"There's something I need to tell you," Moxxie said.
