Lisa watched as her fourth elder sister walked into her and Lily's bedroom with a stack of children's book in hand. Tonight was Luan's night to read bedtime stories for Lily.
"Would you like to join us Lisa? There's enough room for you too." The comedian patted the space next to her while Lily leaned onto her for cuddles. "Lisa come here!" The 1 year old said as she clapped her hands repeatedly. Lisa shrugged and made her way towards the bed Luan and Lily made room for her.
"Why not?" The young scientist immediately got comfortable. "What would you like to hear first? 'The Cat In The Hat' or "Pinocchio'. The comedian asked her younger sisters for an answer. Lily immediately pointed to the book Pinocchio. "Ah yes the book where lying is wrong and telling the truth is always the answer. Good pick Lily!" The smart four year old high five the infant not noticing the annoyed look on Luan's face.
"Okay clearly the universe is telling me to open up before something happens." Lisa and Lily looked at Luan with concern waiting for what she could be referring to as she took a deep breath. "I've been dating this guy for four months and I didn't believe that it would last so I never said anything about it." The comedian giggled as she waited for her sisters to process what she told them.
Luan knew telling them was way easier due to the fact that they are young and don't really have to worry about teenage stuff until they grow up. "I'm happy for you!" The baby said as she gave Luan a hug for moral support.
Lisa knew that she didn't understand a word but she did know that Luan was happy and that's what matters to her. "I'm glad you told us. Make sure you bring him over one day so I can run a DNA analysis because why not!" This caused Luan to smile as she pulled them both in for a hug.
"You guys are amazing! Now are you ready for your bedtime story?" The comedian asked as she opened up the book so she could read. Lily stopped her. "I Want the cat one instead!" She handed her the other book for her older sister to read. "Good choice Lily!"
She read them the four or five books before the kids slept peacefully. She kissed them both goodnight and quietly walked out the room so she didn't disturb their slumber.
She walked down the hallway and towards her and Luna's shared bedroom feeling as light as a feather then ever before.
