Max and Gwen roamed Yellowstone National Park, admiring the beautiful, lush landscape.
"Nothing like finally relaxing in the peace and tranquility of the great outdoors." Max said, breathing in the fresh air.
"Damn, damn! Stupid watch!"
"Or not." Said Gwen.
They looked behind them to see Ben, Hayden and Hope. Ben was still playing with his watch.
"Maybe turn it to the left." Hayden suggested.
"He already has." Hope pointed out.
They were too distracted to hear the report on Ben's radio about a small meteor heading for the northern part of the state.
"What's going on, Ben?" Max asked.
"I was planning to change into an XLR8 and go to that burger joint in Casper, get a double cheeseburger with pickles, but it looks like I'm stuck here." Declared Ben as he continued to play with the watch.
"And I wanted a chili dog. I need something spicy." Said Hope.
"Come on, Ben. I'm starving." Says Hayden.
"I'm trying." Said Ben. "Why don't you go? You can change into an XLR8 too."
"I'm a real airhead when it comes to that sort of thing. I'll forget the controls the second I get there."
Gwen put her hands on her hips.
"Yellowstone is one of the coolest places around! You just have to spend some time and enjoy it."
"You could very well enjoy it while eating a burger or a hot dog." Hayden retorted.
"Gwen is right. And we can live right off the land." Max says as he pushes a log, revealing numerous wriggling insects.
"Mmm! Earthworms! Full of protein!" Max exclaimed as he picked one up and promptly gobbled it down, much to the disgust of the children and teenagers.
"You grill them with sun-dried tomato paste, they're..."
Gwen grabbed Ben's watch and began playing with it in turn.
"Maybe I can help! I'll have my burger with chili."
Hope nodded in agreement.
Suddenly there was a flash of light. And once it had dissipated, they could see that Ben had been replaced by something big and imposing.
"Oh, Cannonbolt's here." Hayden thought.
"Huh? Wow!"
Cannonbolt-Ben lost his balance and fell backwards. He opened his eyes and saw a pair of big, chubby paws.
"What am I?" Cannonbolt-Ben asked.
"Looks a bit like a panda." Said Hayden.
"That's a heroic pose." Said Gwen sarcastically.
"Very funny."
They helped her to her little feet.
"I can't believe I have a new alien! It's about time I started catching up with you." Cannonbolt-Ben said to Hayden.
"It's not a competition. Besides, I can only use Carbuncle against someone who uses magic in view of their abilities." Hayden declared.
"And where there's one more, who knows, there could be a hundred more." Said Max.
"Well, as long as they're not as useless as this one! So, what do you think it does?"
Hayden began to circle around him.
"Well, your front end is relatively soft," he observed, patting Cannonbolt-Ben's belly, "but you've got these hard shells on your back, hands and skull."
He slapped the yellow shells on Ben's back.
As Hayden continued to tease Ben, Gwen looked up and saw a fireball falling through the clouds.
"Look out!" she shouted.
They all took cover as the ball flew overhead and crashed nearby. The shock made Ben fall back.
"That alien's got to go..."
Cannonbolt-Ben suddenly curled up into a ball and began to roll toward the scene of the accident.
"Don't you mean you have to roll?" Said Gwen as they ran after them.
Cannonbolt-Ben stopped in front of the meteor and rolled out, landing flat on his back.
They stared at the giant meteor.
"Woah, it's huge!" Cannonbolt-Ben exclaimed as they watched the thing from space.
"That's you, buddy." Hayden declared, which made Hope laugh.
Cracks began to appear all around the meteor.
"It's alive!"
They all ran for cover as six giant legs emerged from the shell. The outer shell shattered completely to reveal a giant pink and purple insect. It planted itself in the ground and stabbed its flapping mouth tentacles into the soil. Pus began to gush from the muscle tissue.
"It's... very aromatic." Max said, covering his nose.
"I just thought Ben hadn't showered in three days." Declared Gwen.
"Four! And it's not over!" Corrected Cannonbolt-Ben.
"You're disgusting," said Hope.
Suddenly, an alien ship appeared from the sky and three beings standing on floating platforms descended.
"Rejoice. He has arrived, in all his glorious glory." Said the one in the middle.
"I await his proclamation." Says the six-armed soldier, leaning his head against the giant insect's carapace.
"Who are you?" Max asked.
"Just relax. We come in peace." The chief told them.
"That's what they always say, right before they try to blow us up!" Gwen exclaimed.
"Hmmm, an Earth girl with character." Said the one holding the axe as he circled around them. "I hear they exist here in great numbers. Or should I say they exist?"
"And an Arburian Pelarota at that." Chief observed, looking at Cannonbolt-Ben.
"At least we know what you are." Said Hayden.
"His presence here must be a sign sent by the Great Savior. Isn't he great?"
"Formidable... Hail to the Great Savior!" The three aliens exclaimed.
"But you're a bit far from home, aren't you?" Asked the axe-wielding alien to Cannonbolt-Ben.
"Actually, closer than you think," said Ben.
"Unfortunately, there's nothing to come back to. The Great Savior purified your planet last week."
"SHUT UP! Everyone, shut up!" Said Six Arm as he leaned his head against the giant insect. "He's talking to me..."
"I can't hear a thing." Said Gwen.
"I'm the only one who speaks his language! The Great Savior says... your planet will be purified before the next moon. You're very lucky!"
"I bet you what my future cheeseburger, that he makes up what this barely sentient tick who lives only to consume says?" Hayden whispered to Hope.
"When in doubt, I won't accept. I want my chili dog." Hope murmured, a smile on her face.
The three aliens stared at him.
"He's a purifier of worlds! From planet to planet, galaxy to galaxy."
"Let me guess, he sucks all the nutrients out of the planet, killing the planet as well as all its inhabitants before moving on to the next planet."
They all stared at him, then at each other.
"He's a prophet!"
"Okay, they puffed me up."
The axe-wielding alien was about to lift Hayden, but using the Omnitrix's master control, he transformed into SnakeEyes by the thought and grabbed Axe's head.
"Don't touch me..." He ordered, before letting go and kicking him away.
"The destroyer." Said Six Bras, shocked.
"It's impossible, he's been gone for so long. Added the tall alien who appeared to be their leader.
"The Destroyer?" Hope asked.
"Yes." replied the leader. "The one who, like the Great Savior, devoured planets. But he left nothing. Not even a remnant of the planet to mark his passing. He lived only to destroy and grow stronger. But..."
"But to announce his appearance, there's the Chronian, and he hasn't shown up in 200 years." Six Bras added, shocking Max. But fortunately for him, the children were too focused on the aliens to notice.
"Glad to hear this Alien is in the same league as the fat tick. But I've got better things to do than listen to religious fanatics." SnakeEyes Hayden retorted.
Cannonbolt-Ben charged at the axe-wielding alien. But the latter gave him a well-timed blow and sent him flying into the forest.
"Ben!" Max shouted as he, Gwen, Hope and SnakeEyes-Hayden ran after him.
They pursued Ben, who was bouncing around like a pinball.
"Ben?" Max called.
Instead of answering, Ben collided with them. They all fell down a hill as Ben returned to normal.
"Oh, man. This watch gives me a new alien out of nowhere and all I can do is roll around on the ground, when Hayden's been a public menace from the start! It's not fair!"
"This is no time to complain. Those enlightened people want to let that tick devour the planet." Says Hope.
"Hope's right, we have to go back. But you, Hayden, will need to become human again and keep a low profile." Said Max.
"I know what you mean." Said SnakeEyes-Hayden before becoming human again.
"Given the reputation they know of SnakeEyes, they'll be looking to go after me, if I'm in their sights."
"Exactly."
Suddenly, the trees around them began to swell, turning purple. They climbed back up the hill to see that all the trees were the same, their branches transformed into tentacles with mouths.
"Wow, weren't they there when we came down the hill?" Ben asked.
"No, I think we would have remembered!" Said Gwen.
"The poison from that big tick is mutating the landscape!" Said Max.
The tentacles wiggled toward them.
"Yuck! Don't touch me!" Gwen exclaimed as she tried to push them away, but this only made the tentacles go crazy.
They began to wrap themselves around them, but Hope shot them all down.
"We've got no time to lose!" She said as she shot down more and more tentacles.
"She really scares me sometimes." Said Ben as they followed her.
"Then again, imagine what it would be like if she was really pissed off." Hayden added.
They crossed the parched, mutated landscape.
More tentacles began to sprout from the mutated trees, but Hope shot them all down as she crossed the forest.
Ben looked at his watch to see that it was recharged.
"Yes!" Ben activated his watch. "Time to go to Four A-"
Hayden grabbed his wrist, turned the dial and punched the watch to turn him into a Stinkfly.
"You always forget that in large-scale conflicts, tactics take precedence over the physical. When you fly, you're more mobile and you can get two closer, since they use platforms to float." He says. "I wouldn't be able to help, since I'd have to hide from those clowns. So like with the bounty hunters last time, stop thinking about muscle and come up with a real plan before choosing an alien."
Stinkfly-Ben wanted to protest, but had to admit that his friend was right. He nodded and flew back to the tick.
The three alien worshippers watched the tick swell further as they felt the earth tremble.
"What was that?"
They turned to see that the "Great Savior" was swollen and pulsating.
"It seems that part of this planet is about to be freed." Declared the leader.
Six Bras leaned his head against the tick and listened in silence.
"Ah, yes, yes, I understand."
"What did he say?" Asked the axe-wielding alien.
"He wishes us to see the effects of his greatness and witness his supreme and ultimate power." Six Arms declared.
The leader looked up and saw Stinkfly flying towards them.
"What the hell is that thing?"
"Two tons of putrid power!" Stinkfly exclaimed as he flew past them. "Now, patez or you all!"
"Not until you've witnessed the eruption of the Great Savior's power." Declared the leader.
"Sorry, but that's not going to happen!" Said Stinkfly as he turned around in the air, heading straight for the Great Savior. He took aim and fired two shots at the hole, successfully blocking it.
He then dodged an energy beam. The three aliens were flying towards him. The one with the axe brandished his weapon, which shot out rays every time he struck it.
Meanwhile, Hayden and Hope took advantage of the commotion to return to the Rust Bucket to hide without being attacked in a parody of... something not recommended for children that some teenagers watch on the internet.
"I hate this episode." Hayden murmured, moving to the back of the Rust Bucket so as not to be visible from the windows.
What?" asked Hope.
"Nothing!" He replied hastily, realizing what he'd just said.
All the rest of the events unfolded as in the episode. Ben used all his Aliens to try to bring down the tick, until he resigned himself to using Cannonbolt to destroy it from the inside, and finally the Aliens left the planet as the landscape returned to what it was before.
"Good riddance." Said Hayden as he and Hope climbed out of the RV.
"Looks like everything's back to normal." Said Gwen as they looked around as the forest returned around them.
"I hate to break it to you, but nothing we do is normal." Hope sighed.
"Good job, Ben." Max said to Ben.
"Yeah. I'm the kid who saved the Earth! I think my work here is done." Said Ben as he lay back on the grass and looked up at the clear blue sky.
"Yeah, and I guess that's for letting me get a little gleaned during this attack." Said Hayden, pulling out a pen and paper he'd taken from the Rust Bucket. "Write down the hamburgers you want, and I'll get them for you."
This brought a smile to Hope, Ben and Gwen, who were quick to take the paper and write down their order.
Max smiled as he saw them become children and teenagers again as soon as the threat had been eliminated. But he couldn't help thinking about what those aliens had said. If the DNA contained in Hayden's Omnitrix was indeed that of the master... this man... then Hayden could well be in great danger if he managed to free himself.
