"Alright, Finn, I'm heading home. Catch you tomorrow." Says Olivia, picking up her bag
Fin, her trusted sergeant, nodded in understanding. "Got it, Cap. See you tomorrow." Olivia gathered her belongings and headed towards the exit, the weight of the day's work pressing down on her shoulders. She couldn't wait to get home and unwind.
Olivia had just started to make her way up the stairs to her apartment when she collided with a bald, shirtless man with striking blue eyes. The force of the collision caused her to stumble, her purse dropping to the ground. She regained her balance and looked up, a mixture of surprise and annoyance on her face.
"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't see you there box was in my way." Elliot says wasting no time in putting down the box he was carrying and moving towards Olivia. In a single, fluid movement, he picked up her air, pulling her slender form firmly against his chest. The unexpected move caught Olivia off guard, and she let out a startled gasp.
Olivia, still reeling from Elliot's quick action, found herself momentarily speechless. Finally, she managed to stammer out a thanks amidst her surprise. "Uh, thanks. But next time, please watch where you're going." The heat of his touch and the firmness of his grip on her lingered, leaving her heart racing for reasons she couldn't quite explain.
Elliot's keen eyes immediately spotted the badge clipped to Olivia's hip. He pointed at it, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "You a cop?" he asked, even though the answer was obvious.
With a firm yet tentative gesture, Olivia managed to break free from Elliott's grasp, gently pushing away from his chest. She smoothed her clothes and took a step back, fixing the badge on her hip before speaking up. "I'm a Captain at the Special Victims Unit... SVU, for short."
Elliot, intrigued by Olivia's profession and her brief display of independence, took a moment to adjust to the new distance between them. His gaze was steady and intense as he focused on her. "Oh, that's amazing work you do, and I don't think I caught your name. I'm Elliot Stabler... It's nice to meet you."
Olivia could feel her heart race as Elliot spoke, his deep voice sending a shiver down her spine. She cleared her throat and returned his greeting. "Olivia Benson," she replied firmly, her voice regaining its usual steady tone.
Elliot flashed a charming smile, his blue eyes sparkling with friendliness. He gestured towards his open door, where boxes of his belongings were scattered around. "Looks like I'm your new neighbor," he repeated, a hint of playfulness in his voice.
Olivia, despite her initial confusion and defensiveness, found it hard to resist Elliot's friendly charm. She forced herself to maintain her professional demeanor, but she couldn't help the flutter in her chest when he smiled at her. "I guess that explains the boxes then," she laughs, her voice a little softer than before. "But I have to get home to my son. It was nice meeting you, Elliot."
Elliot's smile faded slightly as he registered Olivia's mention of a son. A flicker of surprise flashed across his face before being quickly concealed. "Ah, you have a son. No worries. I'll get out of your way." He took a step back, clearing a path for her to pass by him into her own apartment.
Olivia couldn't help but chuckle, her gaze flickering over Elliot's shirtless torso for a moment before she met his eyes again. "You might want to put a shirt on there, Stabler."
Elliot chuckled, "You got it, cap." He gave Olivia a playful wink, then retreated back into his apartment to find a shirt. Meanwhile, Olivia stepped inside her own apartment,
Olivia spoke to her babysitter, Lucy, who had been caring for Noah while Olivia was at work. She handed Lucy an envelope full of cash, which was the payment for the babysitting services. "Hey, Lucy. Thanks for taking care of Noah while I was at work. Here's your pay. You can head out now and have a nice evening."
"It's not a problem, Liv, and I'll see you and Noah tomorrow," Lucy says before heading out.
Olivia knelt down and pulled her son, Noah, into a tight and loving hug. "Hi bud how was your day today." Says Olivia.
Noah looked up at Olivia, his eyes shining with excitement. "Hi, Mom! My day was good. I had the most fun at dance class."
Olivia smiled at Noah's childlike exuberance. It was moments like these when she cherished being a mother. "I know how much you love dancing, bud, and I'm so glad you found something you love that's important."
Olivia, who was in the living room taking care of some paperwork, heard a knock on the door. She set down her pen and stood up, wondering who could be visiting at this hour.
Olivia opened the door to find Elliot standing there, a friendly smile on his face. He held up an empty container, sheepishly admitting his need. "Hey, Liv. Sorry to bother you so late. Can I borrow some sugar?"
Olivia couldn't help but roll her eyes slightly, though a hint of amusement flickered in her gaze. "Sugar? Seriously, Elliot?"
Elliot chuckled, sensing Olivia's lighthearted response. He held the empty container up higher, a mock pleading look on his face. "Hey, I ran out mid-making my coffee."
Olivia raised an eyebrow at Elliot's response. She leaned against the doorway, crossing her arms with a hint of skepticism. "Your coffee at this hour, huh?" She said dryly, not quite buying his excuse. Despite her skepticism, she couldn't help but find his plea a bit amusing.
Elliot flashed a rueful smile, acknowledging the truth behind his claim. As a detective at Organized Crime, his work schedule fluctuated wildly at times, leading to some chaotic sleep patterns. "Yup, you caught me. Being on call during odd hours for a detective at Organized Crime means my coffee intake is on a whole new level."
Olivia stepped back from the doorway, gesturing for Elliot to come inside. A smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she played along with the 'sugar' exchange.
"Come on in, Detective. I'll get you that sugar since you're in such dire need."
'Thank you, captain." Elliot says smiling
Olivia walked to the kitchen, a hint of a smirk still playing on her lips. She motioned for Elliot to take a seat at the kitchen table. "Just make yourself comfortable. I'll get that sugar for you."
Elliot entered the cozy kitchen, his gaze following Olivia as she moved to retrieve the sugar. The atmosphere between them was friendly, with a hint of playful banter. He sat down at the kitchen table, watching as Olivia searched through the various cabinets and drawers.
Elliot chuckled, unable to resist teasing Olivia. He knew he was walking on thin ice, but his playful nature got the better of him. "You don't know where the sugar is in your own kitchen, Liv? Should I file a missing report for it?"
Olivia shot Elliot a mock glare as she continued searching for the sugar. She feigned annoyance at his comment, though a hint of amusement flickered in her eyes. "Very funny, Detective. I'll let you know I just reorganized my kitchen recently. Things are a bit misplaced at the moment."
Noah, having overheard the playful banter from his room, came out to the kitchen, a hopeful expression on his young face. "Mom, can I stay up an hour later tonight? Pretty please?"
Olivia looked at Noah with a fond smile, her heart melting at his innocent plea.
"Alright, since it's Thursday, you can stay up an hour later. But just an hour, young man. No more than that, got it?"
"Got it, Mom, thank you, and hi, I'm Noah Benson." Noah flashes Elliot a smile.
"Nice to meet you Noah, I'm Elliot Stabler your new neighbor." Elliot flashes Noah a smile. Elliot extended a hand towards Noah, offering a firm handshake to the young boy. His smile widened, reflecting his genuine warmth and friendliness.
Noah reciprocated Elliot's handshake with his own small, child-sized hand. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he looked up at the friendly neighbor. "Nice meeting you, Elliot, night mom!" Noah says before heading back to his room.
Olivia finally found the elusive sugar, a small jar hidden away in the back of a cabinet. She approached Elliot with a smile, handing him the container. "Here's your sugar, Detective. A valuable resource for your late-night coffee escapades."
"Thanks, Liv. I owe you one. And you'll be seeing me around for more sugar raids, so don't hide it too well next time." Elliot laughs
Olivia chuckled, shaking her head with a mixture of amusement and slight annoyance. "Oh, you're insufferable. But I guess I can't stay mad at a detective who's in need of caffeine need." Olivia giggles.
Elliot shrugged unabashedly, a hint of a mischievous smile on his face. "Can't promise anything. Those late-night sugar cravings can be ruthless, you know, but thank you again, Olivia, catch you later."
Olivia rolled her eyes playfully at Elliot's words. She knew it was a losing battle with a sugar addict like him. But as he thanked her again, a warm smile tugged at her lips. "You're welcome, Elliot. See you later, and try not to drain my sugar resources dry, alright?"
Elliot chuckled, his laughter echoing slightly in the quiet kitchen as he prepared to leave. Before heading out the door, he turned back to Olivia and Noah, offering a farewell gesture. "I'll do my best to restrain myself, Liv. No guarantees, though. Take care, both of you."Elliot says, laughing and walking out to head to organized crime.
