After Percy ate the Apple of Idunn he realized how late it was getting and started to make his way back though the labyrinth. As he was walking down the winding halls he heard something, something that sounded suspiciously like the sound of hoofs on stone.

A deep echoing clip clop was rapidly approaching Percy, and after the day he had, he was ready for anything, well he thought he was ready for anything, but apparently anything did not include his best friend pantsless bolting down the stone corridor with his furry goat legs out.

"PERCY THANK THE GODS YOUR ALIVE! I thought for sure you were dead after finding the classroom in shambles. Thank the Gods I found you!" Grover bleeted out.

"Grover? What are you doing here man?"

"Percy, I should be asking you that! What are you doing down here man? Also it smells so bad down here, you're lucky you have such a strong scent otherwise I would have lost you two seconds into this place!"

Percy, a bit taken aback, answers honestly.

"I found this place a few days ago and I knew there were monsters or something down here. I feel like I gotta get stronger because if things like Miss Doddes keep trying to kill me I need to be strong enough to protect myself and my mum! Also rude, I don't stink!"

Grover gave Percy a searching look but nodded accepting his answer.

"I didn't mean to say you stink, it's just," Grover trailed off.

"How about we get out of here and I'll explain everything to you."

"Yeah sounds good man, how about you start with your goat legs?"

Percy and Grover made their way back to the entrance which they came from, with Percy leading the way and Grover giving Percy the rundown on being a demigod, camp and all that fun stuff like monsters constantly hunting you down for the rest of his life.

'Nice' Percy thought to himself as they arrived at the exit to the labyrinth and

subtly swiped away the notification.

"Hey Percy, how were you able to lead us out of here?" Grover asked confused

"What do you mean G man? Can't you tell which way we came because it's pretty obvious you just go back the way you came, follow the bones and armor on the floor and your back at the door."

"Percy what are you talking about everytime I look away from the floor, what's in front of me seems to change, sometimes there's bricks and other times its cobblestone pathways and everytime I look around I get disorientated."

By the time Percy and Grover had left the labyrinth they had both figured out that Percy had a mysterious ability to see through the labyrinths magic and was able to traverse it as it were a regular maze, that is to say not super well because it's a maze but better than most people.

"Alright Percy let's talk to Chiron er, I mean Mr Brunner and get you to camp, where you'll be safe." Grover said reassuringly.

"But what about my Mum I can't just up and leave and not let her know!" Percy shot back

"We really might not have that option Percy, with you learning about the truth of your heritage your scent has gone from like a 5 to 11 on the strength scale and I'm certain any monsters in the area can smell you, we're just lucky we're kinda in the middle of nowhere New York state. A lot of monsters hang around cities because that's where a majority of demigods are, so we are really lucky."

"I am not leaving without saying goodbye to my mum G man, it's just not happening!" Percy said with a tone that indicated that, that was that.

"Percy you're really making this difficult but I get it. You said you go to Montauk with your mum right? Well Camp really isn't that far from there so maybe we can stop by on our way to camp. I can't promise anything but we can ask Chiron."

"I wont leave without explaining all this to her man!" Percy said adamantly

"I'm pretty sure she knows more than you do Percy" Grover said as they approached Mr Brunner's office. Grover knocked on the door.

"Come in" A somewhat worried voice replied

After Percy and Grover explained everything to Chiron, Chiron was understandably confused as to why and how Percy had found and entered the labyrinth but wasn't going to push the issue, at least not right now.

"Your mother will be allowed to visit you on your journey to camp, who am I to forbid you from seeing you mother" 'For the last time' was left unsaid.

"Mr Brunner, er Chiron could we meet my Mum at Montauk? That's where we spent a lot of our summers and it's a really special place for us." Percy asked

"Of course Percy."

So things just kinda happened from there, after Percy had mysteriously disappeared for a few hours Chiron had called camp to get a ride home, conveniently that was Argus, a blonde surfer dude who had like one hundred eyes all over his body. So their ride was sorted and Chiron had just gotten off the phone with Sally after Percy and Grover had grabbed all their stuff.

There was a surfer dude who upon second glance had about one hundred eyes all over his body.

Argus - Hundred Eyed Giant

Level ?

Argus is a one hundred-eyed giant, who acts as a security guard who serves Hera. He currently works at Camp Half-Blood as the head of security, often riding the demigod heroes to quests. He doesn't talk much, because he has an eye on his tongue, and does not want to show it and freak out campers.

'Huh what a nice guy!' Percy thought to himself.

The car ride was pretty boring, doubly so for Percy being stuck in a van for like seven hours was not fun but they got through it by talking about all the cool stuff that was at camp and Percy could not wait to try it all!

Eventually they arrived at Montauk the weather was kinda shitty but Percy didn't care he was about to be with his Mum and that's all that mattered.

"MUM"

"PERCY"

The mother and son embraced by their favorite cabin, it didn't matter that it was 2am, all that mattered at that moment was that they were together.

After about a minute of hugging Percy wanted to see what the game thought about his mother so he used observe.

Sally Jackson - Best Mum in the Universe

Level 8

Sally Jackson is the mortal mother of Greek demigod Percy Jackson. She is the wife of Gabe Ugliano. Sally was born to Jim and Estelle Jackson. She is a legacy of Aphrodite. Sally works in a candy shop called Sweet on America where she brings home blue candy for her son Percy. She wants to spend as much time with her son as possible but is afraid that this will be the last time she will ever see him, she will treasure every moment with him.

If Percy had any doubts that his mother didn't love him as much as she said she did, they were obliterated after reading that paragraph of text. It was also a little surprising that they are legacies of Aphrodite but after not giving it a second thought it made sense as her eyes always did seem to change with the seasons.

"Mum, I need to tell you something!" Percy whispered into her ear while they were still hugging.

"What is it sweetie?" Sally responded with tears in her eyes.

"So like three days ago I woke up with this box over my head…" Percy began to explain to his mother in great detail and complete honesty what had happened over the last few days

Sally took a deep breath and took a moment to take it all in, as well as you can when your son tells you his life is like a video game.

"Percy I love you but I need you to promise me you wont tell anyone about this video game power. Your father told me what to expect when it comes to his kids powers so I could be aware of it, and boy howdy were there some weird ones but none and I mean none of them are even remotely close to this power, now we don't know who or what gave you this power but you can't tell anyone! Promise me Percy!"

"I- I promise mum, I won't tell anyone!" Percy said, his voice full of determination and promise.

"Good. Now honey I love you so much-" Sally started tears welling in her eyes

"More than you could ever know honey and if being away from you is what will keep you safe, I will."

"I love you too mum. But I don't want to leave you. One day I promise I will get strong enough to protect us both! I'll get so strong even the gods will think twice before messing with me!"

"Oh Percy! I love you to the moon and back! Now go!" Sally managed to get out through the sobs.

As Percy walked back to that van he realized he made a promise to himself and his mum and this one he couldn't just screw up like he did with almost every other promise he made when it came to staying at a school or getting better grades. No this one mattered a whole lot more because if he ever gave up on that promise it could mean a horrible death for the person he loved the most. And that was just unacceptable!

Authors notes

So what did yall think? Once again sorry about the previous massive break between chapters. I did like a shit ton of therapy and it's been getting better. I've been finding more motivation to do more things that I'm passionate about writing included. Also sorry about how short this one is, it just felt right to end it there!

Also if any struggling writers are reading this I'm going to give you some advice from Neil Gaiman, one of the greats. Take your time with chapters, try and do like 50 words a day and if you feel like doing more do more. But don't put all your energy into one project and do it all over the span of one night. It took me like 2 or 3 weeks to do this and i had nothing to start with i felt so lost at the beginning but then i just started with 50 words and everything just flowed from there, some days i would do nothing others i would do close to 500 but it didn't matter how much i did because i felt like i had progressed either way!

Also this chapter and the following two were originally meant to be one big chapter but the more I wrote the more I realized that I was going to have to break it up so that's why this chapter is so short because the next chapter is already at like 6k words and it just felt right to end it here.
