Cairo, Egypt !935.

"Jonathan I swear if this is some wild goose chase. I will be very made with you." Evelyn O'Connell said, getting off the train. "I told you, it came from a very reliable source." Jonathan quipped, as he accidentally dropped his suitcase on his foot. "Yeah sure. Who was it this time, someone you robbed while they were drunk?" Rick asked, getting off with Alex behind him.

"What, no. A very reliable source. His name is Sam. He has spent his entire life in the desert searching for stuff. Claims he found a sealed opening to a tomb. I pulled strings, put in application, and have the rights to search the tomb." Jonathan explains. "Sam? That is the one who found that wrecked ship in the Gulf of Issus, and claimed it had artifacts from Alexander the Great?" Evelyn asked her brother.

Jonathan nodded. "Still trying to verify the items. But the artifacts are definitely from around his time." He explained. Rick and Evelyn looked at each other and shrugged. They, nor Jonathan had ever actually ever met Sam. But the guy had many contacts, and every time he said something was there. There was in fact something to be found. "May be cool mum." Alex smiled. "See, listen to the kid." Jonathan smiled.

"The tomb is a mile west of Hamunaptra actually. At least according to the markers. I have several men who went there and verified the door is an entrance. And it may have connections to Nefertiti, and Seti the first. None of them want to open the door till the seal is translated. Ya know. Superstition and all." Jonathan said casually. "Yeah, word of what happened the last two times spread to them." Rick said. Jonathan shrugged.

"We will get rest here. Then gather the supplies and horses we will need before heading there tomorrow." Evelyn explained. The four went to the nearest hotel, and booked rooms for the night. Jonathan stayed in the bar, drinking. "Rick. If this is connected to Seti or Nefertiti. Why was it buried away from the City of the Dead, or even in one of the pyramids?" Evelyn asked, looking up from some notes on the sketches of one of the symbols on the door.

"Maybe to keep grave robbers out? They are more likely to raid areas known for burial. So, if it is someone important. Keep them in an area no man would think to look." Rick suggested. Evie looked at him. "That is possible. Another possibility. It is dangerous. What if something else, is there?" She frowned. "If you wish to not go. Just tell Jonathan." Rick said. "Oh, but he looked so happy. haven't seen him this proud of something, in a long time. And, if it is dangerous. And I don't go, but he does. And he gets hurt. I would never forgive myself." Evelyn explained.

Rick sighed, knowing Evelyn was right. Jonathan was the type who would go even if they did not. And if it was dangerous. Jonathan would be the type to accidentally set something off, without supervision. "Fine, I guess you are right. But Alex is not going inside until we are sure it is safe. He can stay in the camp." Rick said. Evelyn looked at him.

"You know telling him that, will only make him sneak inside when we are not looking, right?" She asked. Rick paused. That was true. Alex was far too much like his mother at times. Rick finished checking all his weapons, then went downstairs to the bar where Jonathan was.

"Don't get drunk. We won't wait for you just because you have a hangover in the morning." Rick said, sitting down by him. "Oh, relax old boy. I won't get drunk." Jonathan said. "What is the deal with that Sam? Have you, or anyone you know ever met him?" Rick looked at Jonathan. "Nah. Old Sam is an odd one. My old partner used to joke Sam was a ghost or something." Jonathan said, finishing his drink. "And, you still trust him?" Rick asked, with worry in his eyes. "He has never led anyone astray yes. Every time he points to something. It ends in discovery and treasure." Jonathan set the glass down.
