It was boring.

'When I was with mother, I spent my time training and hunting... during my journey to fulfill my tasks, I came across many wonderful things.' Naruto looked out over the forest, and he sighed in annoyance at feeling stuck in a castle with other servants he couldn't fight. Not that a single hero could face him at the castle.

Astolfo lacked any Divinity, and couldn't wound him.
Frankenstein lacked any Divinity, and couldn't wound him.
Vlad the Third lacked any Divinity, and couldn't wound him.
Siegried lacked any Divinity, and couldn't wound him.
Avicebron lacked any Divinity, and couldn't wound him.

The fact was that once the Servants of Red were defeated, and his team were forced to fight each other... which Naruto knew would be the case eventually. Even if they were broken into teams, there was no way that was the actual case that all the servants on the winning side would get their wish granted. That wasn't how it worked with wishes and wish-granting devices. When he was cursed, and his mother was cursed, Hera gave him the chance to remove one of those curses... not both, only one of them, even though she was capable of removing both of them.

'I could always wipe out the other Servants of Black.' Naruto glanced back at the door he walked out of to view the forest. He could betray his side and just slaughter every servant in the building. Not a single one of them had a way to hurt him, and none of them had access to Death Curses to enact his legend on him.

His Master was his only weakness at the moment that they could take advantage of.

Even then, if she was killed, he could just take her command spells and go find another Master with the time his Independant Action bought him.

"Naruto, Darnic is calling for all the servants to appear."

"I refuse. I don't obey other servants, and Darnic is following Vlad's orders... hmmmmm... seems an enemy servant is approaching." Naruto narrowed his gaze and focused. "... 30 kilometers away, he hasn't hit the barrier yet." Naruto focused on the object in the distance. He couldn't sense the enemy's mana signature, and he couldn't make out any advanced details from the distance he was at.

He summoned his bow to his hand and loaded it with an arrow, before he took aim.

He unleashed an arrow, and he struck the enemy in the distance with true aim. Right in the center of the enemy's large body. The enemy, even with an arrow stuck through his body, kept running. There was a much smaller figure behind him, he would guess a woman based on her size.

"Master, an enemy servant is approaching. Tell Darnic and Vlad that he withstood one of my arrows." Naruto reported the situation. His arrow wounded the enemy. "... Enemy Berserker." Naruto stated after a moment.

"Darnic says no servant has entered the barrier."

"Well, I just shot a servant in the chest, and he's still running this way. I'm pretty sure he's a berserker, and I'm pretty sure he's a servant because I shot him, and he still lives." Naruto was very sure modern humans couldn't survive getting an arrow through the heart.

There was a great silence.

There was a barrier over the forest, if anyone entered it they would be visible to the masters of the castle.

"Naruto! The enemy Berserker just entered the forest! He's being followed by another 2 servant enemies!"

She sounded so worried.

"I know, I shot him 10 minutes ago." Naruto had shot berserker 10 minutes ago after that long silence, and he just entered the forest. Naruto hopped so that he was sitting at the edge of the castle's walls. It would appear that the other masters refused to believe a servant was approaching their territory until he entered their bounded field. He sighed and smiled to himself. "... still... it's very interesting. So there are 3 enemies on the way." Naruto laughed to himself.

He wondered what the plan was.

Fiore left the castle and joined him in person.

"The others are planning to capture Berserker, and try and defeat the other enemies. They want you to provide support fire." Fiore told him. Now that there were servants on the way, the safest place for her was to be right next to her archer.

Naruto glanced back at her.

"What do you think I should do?" Naruto asked Fiore.

She was his master, not the others.

"... What do you want to do?" Fiore asked him. He was one of the greatest greek heroes, and because of that she valued what he had to say. He was the hero who accomplished 5 impossible tasks, and even when given the chance at life, chose death because his heart was in the right place.

Naruto looked out at the forest.

"The forest calls to me..." Naruto closed his eyes and felt the breeze that came through the forest, and touched him and his master.

It felt like his mother's breast.

He could feel her gentle warmth, her arms wrapping around him, and the scent of her milk. The forest beckoned to him to enter it, with all the warmth and love that his mother had to offer him as a babe. He could hear the whispers of the forest, and they wished for him come and meet with destiny.

"It... calls to you?"

"... I sense a Servant with C-rank Divinity... while that isn't enough to be a massive threat to me, I doubt any of the other servants on our side can hurt an enemy like that." Naruto felt divinity in the forest. It was at a low enough rank that his immortality didn't have much to worry about. If the enemy had C-rank divinity, he only took half damage from their attacks. Still, the fact that the enemy side had a member who could injure him at all was not good. "... It would be better if I went into the forest and confronted the enemy myself." Naruto stated.

"You said the forest calls to you... does that mean you want to fight?" Fiore asked him.

Just because it would be better if he joined the fight, didn't mean he believed he needed to go and fight.

"No, this and that aren't the same. If I enter that forest... I may not come back to this castle as an ally." Naruto felt something in the forest was too much like his mother. There was an explosion in the forest when the servants on their side engaged with Berserker. There was also the sounds of sword meeting steel in another section of the forest.

"Lancer and Caster have engaged Berserker of Red with a small army of Golems. Saber and Rider are engaging with Rider of Red... but Saber's attacks don't deal any damage to Rider! Archer, provide support fire!"

"I obey my Master, not you Darnic. Don't order me around." Naruto stated with a twitching brow when Darnic called out over a forced mental connection. Naruto shut down that mental connection as quickly as Darnic set it up. He looked back at his Master, who placed a hand on her working legs.

She had her wish fulfilled.

It would take time, but eventually she would be able to walk now that her circuits were fixed. The entire reason she wanted the grail didn't exist anymore. She looked at the back of her servant as he looked longingly at the forest.

"... Archer, by my command spell... I order you-"

Naruto turned around and looked at her with shock. She had her hand raised, and her command spells were glowing. His eyes widened at her using one of her 3 command spells so early in the war. He did mention that if he went into the forest, he may not come back as an ally, but was she going to use her command spell to make him kill himself?

No.

Her eyes were too gentle for that.

She hestitated when she spoke.

"Archer, by my command spell, I order you to... follow what your heart wants, without worrying about me." Fiore said as her command spell, one of them, faded away from her hand. He felt the command spell enter his body, and take root deep in him.

Naruto approached her.

"Thank you Fiore, no matter what happens, from here on out... you will never be my enemy." Naruto promised her as he took her hand, and kissed it. He stood up and walked towards the edge of the wall.

He paused.

"... sorry I couldn't help you grant your wish for the grail." Naruto stated to her.

He jumped towards the forest.

She smiled.

"... You already did." Fiore whispered as he vanished from her sight. She looked down at the 2 command spells that she had left. He granted her, her wish... and now in return, she only had plans to use her 2 remaining command spells to help him in whatever way he needs help.

She didn't know what his wish for the grail was, but she didn't need to know it.

She wanted him to have it.
