Chapter 5: Hatred unleashed

'Hold astartes! Hold the gate! We shall not falter!'

Hanabi braced herself upon one of the trench lines, the figure of Kakashi bellowing above her as lightning ripped into the oncoming horde of World eaters, behind her were no less than fifteen squads as the company recuperated it's losses and gathered enough numbers to make a push against the enemy.

The skies above were rumbling with the firepower of battle-fleet elementia facing against the Khorne armada, ships covered the sky as explosions echoed across the atmosphere. Orbital lasers blasted area's of the landscape as the sounds of constant combat echoed across multiple area's.

Konoha rippled as it's main void shields were able to be deployed for the first time in months, this allowed the company holding her to fight the enemy without the risk of orbital bombardments pulling them into a grinding battle of attrition. The enemy still held in area's of hot contention but for the time being the enemy was taken out from their headquarters and important area's within Konoha proper.

'Priority target! Take it out!' screamed one of the astartes sergeants, pointing towards a malefic machine that had just burst out from a partially ruined building, multiple rockets from the different squads blasted across no man's land as the engine groaned and hissed, finally stumbling as it's mechanical engine exploded in a shower of shrapnel. Yet the enemy was relentless in it's advance as multiple threats poured out from all corners of the battlefield, engorging the defenders into a harrowing situation.

Hanabi parried a heavy axe from a world eater, her hand glowing fierce with chakra as the blow distorted the very air itself, her attack landed with the strength of an astartes but the resulting explosion from the berserker reduced the body to giblets of meat and bone, yet she did not falter and instead rushed towards the next opponent, where her style of fighting allowed her to play more aggressively to these close combat obsessed madmen.

Her position was quickly flooded by no less than ten traitors, the sounds of bolter fire and roar of chainaxes echoing across her ears, yet she remained calm as her training over untold battles and practice showed their results as she weaved through the enemies wild attacks, each one of her blows blasting apart ceramite and transhuman flesh with devastating accuracy.

The last world eater rushed her, his axe diving down towards her armoured shoulder, yet in an acrobatic skill that was beyond superhuman she pivoted her shoulder so the armour would be merely glanced by the blow, taking this momentary stumble she twisted her torso and legs to deliver a devastating blow to the traitor's exposed flank, blood exploded from the breach as the astartes organs suffered catastrophic failure as flares of chakra burst forth from the exit wound, the berserker collapsed onto the ground, unable to support himself as his synaptic nerves and pain receptors were exploding within his maddened mind.

Hanabi pulled out her bolt pistol, ending the life of the traitor with a well placed shot to his exposed cranial.

The battlefield was ever changing, what started as a overwhelming assault against the Konoha defenders turned into a grinding attrition battle, evolving into the current pushback scenario that was faced by the bloodied company for the past six months.

'Have them take up these positions' Shikamaru said across one of the many vox networks he was issuing orders across, his mind was calculating and directing more than a dozen active warzones at a time, providing valuable time to those defenders whom were being overwhelmed by the hostile forces. World eaters faced heavy forces and tactics that were beyond their ability to counter as Shikamaru controlled the pace and tempo of the battles.

'Enemy forces coming from heading 220, moderate attack force with elite forces mingled upon the battleline, please advise' Shikamaru heard across one of his many vox machines as his mind calculated the available resources and manoeuvrers he had in his command, in but the span of a few seconds he had already resolved the issue.

'Squad 2 Delta, assemble your people and head towards position Foxtrot 22 Alpha, attack the enemy on heading 130, ready anti armour measures' he said across another vox, a quick confirmation was given as the sounds of heavy tank weaponry echoed across from that position, the resulting blast rumbling across the battlefield as Shikamaru continued to issue orders.

Konoha held stubbornly as the enemy world eaters were being slowly pushed out from the city, through the sacrifice of countless astartes was the enemy being pushed back, loosing more than their fair share of manpower.

Yet the enemy would not give up so easily, as the wrathful gaze of their new god demanded that they offer him a substantial tribute of blood and skulls.

The skies darkened to the colour of crimson red, as blood started to drop upon the battlefield. The tide of gore started to ripple as fire and brimstone blasted across the landscape, manifestation of unknown tears started appearing across the battlefield as inhuman terrors were unleashed upon the defenders.

The tide of crimson horrors clashed into the entrenched defenders as the ravings of madmen echoed, skulls of flaming horror blasted into trench-lines as astartes screamed, their flesh burning as medical shinobi tried their hardest to heal the damage.

Hanabi dodged out of the way as a flaming skull collided with a part of the trench wall, the fire covering her armour as hot blood splashed itself across her face. Screaming in pain she looked through torched skin as the tide of traitors were bolstered with new threats. To her it was as though the manifestation of evil had decided to rush across the battlefield, their blades of molten metal and fire blazing the air.

Yet even through such pain, she is a shinobi, one who endures.

And hatred was indeed a powerful salve against the horrors presented before her.

Kakashi raised his claw towards the skies, as a mighty thunderbolt wrapped itself upon it, the machine was cast in a blue light as the mighty dreadnought body was pushed to it's absolute limit, speeding towards the enemy so fast the enemy was stunned as the mighty war-machine started to tear across their numbers with living lightning.

Hanabi followed him, along with those under her command as her hands blazed with chakra, hatred and anger within her face as the hot blood started to scar across her face.

Shikamaru gave out a curse as his battle-plans had been disrupted by this new enemy force that had appeared so suddenly. Thinking quickly he organized his squad leaders to new vectors to respond to these new threats, yet this was merely a stalling tactic at best.

He knew intricately how many numbers he had remaining, and knew that even with this regroup and consolidation of forces it was only a matter of time before his resources would break under such a strain.

'Troublesome... We really need a miracle right now' he muttered under his breath.

His vox network was flaring as battlefleet Elementia was reporting new warp transits entering Elementian space. Shikamaru was about to resign himself at the horrible situation they had to now face yet paused when communications started to happen that gave him pause.

'Battlefleet Elementia... can you repeat that again?' Shikamaru said.

'I... Commander... you are not gonna believe this... but...'

Another fleet of ships rippled across the atmosphere of Elementia, their shining blue hulls telling Shikamaru all he needed to know, the ancient symbol of the inverted omega showing upon their hulls as the lights of ordinance flashed across the void of space.

'Well... I can work with that' Shikamaru said as a flood of drop pod echoed across the skies, their blue paint flaring bright across the heavens.

Guilliman looked upon the warzone his legion had transitioned into and only felt disgust, to think that Angron would do such a thing after the events of Nuceria and seeing his brother turn into that abomination. He could scarcely believe that his rage and hatred was to lead to this bloody conclusion.

He was still thankful for the opportunity that the green pulse had given him, returning access for the five hundred worlds back towards the wider Imperium, where Lion had gone to deal with the rushing traitors, Guilliman had received a priority vox from his astropaths before he had transitioned from Davin, which brought him to this current predicament.

'Father' Marius Gage said, his face set in stone as he looked upon the various scanners and tools at his disposal 'It seems that the enemy has requisitioned tremendous amounts of force to all the four planets, yet according to these data scans the enemy are concentrating their more elite forces here at Elementia and to Terraria. What would you command of us?'

Guilliman deliberated upon the information he had at hand, calculating where his force would be most beneficial to assist these worlds before more damage could be done. It was but a brief minute until he looked upon his first master.

'Have our veteran forces make planetside here. We will establish communications with tactical command upon the surface and provide support towards the most contested zones, a secondary force will regroup with Battle-fleet Elementia and provide the support they need to defeat the foe in space, after they will make haste to Terraria, where hopefully our intervention is not too late'

'By your will father' Marius said, giving a quick salute as he rushed towards the local drop pods within the Maccrage's Honour. Guilliman was still looking upon his scanners, yet somehow he could not see any signs of his brother, even as his worlds continued to burn.

Where are you Naruto? Guilliman thought, even through the two of them had their disagreements and sometimes resulted in hostility, he is still his brother and is concerned of the future of his legion.

I pray that we are not too late... If we are to lose here, then the future would be a grim outcome Guilliman thought, his mind still thinking about the vox message and it's implication of female astartes that were actually carrying astartes offspring.

'Captain Inari... we still have no signal from Naruto's armour'

Inari looked upon his instruments as a frustration entered his body, his teeth gritted as he could only watch helplessly as his crews tried to establish communications with their primarch.

Activity upon the planet started to echo across his warnings as planetary defences that were hidden started to slowly flicker to life, their alien design showing Inari that to stay within range of them was to consign the Will of Fire to a ignoble death.

'Is there anything we can do Captain Inari?' came the voice of Weiss, the Meiyo guard had frustration upon her face as well as the others of the guard were holding back. Inari could only look on as all avenues of communication were not working.

'I... there might be a way to get Naruto back here... but the method is untested' Inari said, his voice hesitant as he retrieved a memory as Naruto's voice echoed from his mind.

Inari... I know that giving you this is placing my absolute trust in you. You of all people know the risk of my Hiraishin and the dangers it carries from untested travel. I don't even know if such a thing might be possible because it has never been done before. Yet my placing this marker with you means I trust that this would be only used under the most dire of circumstances. Remember that little brother.

Walking towards his captains chair Inari inputted a specific code within his arm rest, this opened a specialized chamber within the side of the chair, where a simple box with a single wax seal was pulled out.

It's design was rather basic but the seal itself was Naruto's personal seal, the symbol of the Nine tails shown proudly upon it's surface. Inari closed his eyes for a moment before he broke the wax, opening the case a shining silver kunai was seen, it's surface etched with countless seals and engravings that he did not understand. It pulsed with a subtle blue glow as Inari could feel the power echoing across it's surface.

'This... this is something Naruto has entrusted to me' Inari said, turning towards the astartes as many eyes looked upon the kunai within, minor gasp echoed across the most senior veterans as the implication of such a thing was not thought possible.

'Is that... one of the' Weiss said, her voice timid at the sight before her.

'Yes... This is one of the fabled Hiraishin master marks, only nine of these were ever made by Naruto. This one is the strongest one he had created'

'Do you...' Weiss said, her voice hopeful 'Do you think it would be able to bring him back?'

'Honestly' Inari said, his voice quiet 'I don't know'

The ship deck was silent at Inari's proclamation, all the while the planetary warnings continued to echo as the world below awakened their forces to deal with the intruders.

Panic settled within his system, he felt his body unable to move as even the breath within his lungs was frozen, he could feel a stabbing pain within his chest as his eyes were even unable to close.

Naruto wanted to scream, yet even that was impossible as only darkness was within his vision.

Basic functions within his body were unable to be done, yet the thing that was restraining him preserved his body in it's current state, unable to feel anything, unable to do anything.

Only the pain of his mind, unable to function was his companion, as the void of darkness blanketed his eyes.

This continued for what felt like an eternity, scraping at his sanity as he could do nothing but scream within.

He started to lose track of time within this place, as there was nothing for him to focus upon, even though his body was being preserved within the stasis, he could feel his pains escalate in their severity, even though his body was frozen and did not need sustenance, he could feel the thumping within his mind and phantom burning of his lungs.

Yet still, he could not scream.

As a way to cope with the incoming madness, his chakra burst forth into the void, yet would be stripped just as quickly as it came out, Naruto's body would continue this trend, releasing burst of chakra that would be syphoned as quickly as Naruto released it.

Such actions would also pull the attention of Kurama as the great tailed beast would also be interested in what phenomena was happening. As he watched within Naruto's mindscape as his chakra continued to flare across the darkness.

'Naruto... do you feel that too?' Kurama asked, his senses paying attention to how chakra reacted within this space.

'Ye...yea... I ….I can feel my chakra... something is pulling it... but I can't tell what'

'Naruto' Kurama said, noticing the growing panic within Naruto's mind as his mindscape started to darken to an alarming rate. 'You need to calm down... You are not in any danger'

Yet the panicked thoughts of Naruto showed the true feeling within the primarch.

'I... I can't breathe!... I CAN'T BREATHE... somebody!... anybody... PLEASE HELP ME!'

Kurama knew that in the current state Naruto was in. Trying to rationalize this scenario was useless, instead it would be more of a mercy to take Naruto away from the equation for the time being.

His chakra burst forth from Naruto's body, the golden glow blasted across the nothingness as Kurama forced Naruto's mind to embrace unconsciousness, a few blast of his chakra was able to pull Naruto's conscious state into his mindscape, where Kurama lulled his mind into a deep sleep.

As Naruto floated within his mindscape, heedless of what had just happened. Kurama pondered the phenomena that was happening within this realm.

Naruto's knowledge from the aspect of life was vast, yet it seemed that this technology was beyond the scopes of this knowledge, yet he could see that many concepts and rules that apply to reality are also applying within this dimensional pocket.

Knowing that such restrictions are still in effect means that there might be an opportunity to exploit these limits through the use of chakra.

'Alright... time to figure out how to get out of this... whatever this is'

From his repository of information, the tesseract labyrinth was a means for the Necrontyr to imprison beings of pure energy. As it's inner working are a black box, the method to escape would be found from the inside. Meaning the best way to understand it's workings is ironically within the very prison itself.

First thing he did was to get a understanding of the dimensional scope of this prison, a few pulses of his chakra was perfect to get this information, which lead him to another interesting development.

The boundaries within the prison were symmetrically perfect, a hexagon based dimensional layout with what felt like an inner core to house the artificial dimension. From what his echo's could tell it would be nearly impossible to collapse from the outside as it's primal shape would be the most structurally strongest.

Another thing he picked up was the fact that any excess energy that was being flooded into the dimension was being syphoned outwards from the inner core, this was probably to prevent a overload of the dimensional prison, which ensures that those within whom had too much power would not be able to just rupture it, making the prison rather trivial if that was the case.

A dimensional prison that drains the energy from it's prisoners and is naturally the strongest known structure in existence, simple but horrendously effective.

'I must give credit to these Necrontyr, to devise such a simple design into a prison is rather telling of their understandings of basic concepts within the material universe... no wonder the old ones had such trouble fighting them when they had taken their immortal forms'

As Naruto's body was frozen in this purgatory, Kurama experimented, finding out more and more from their prison while Naruto's mind continued to rest.

While within the darkness, the pulses of Kurama's chakra stirred forth fragments, these whom once were ancient and terrible beings.

The first wall had fallen.

All across Vierra the enemy was pushing the defenders back, wave after wave of endless berserkers, maddened cultist and the pounding of daemonic monstrosities hammered the defences, every means that were available to Vierra was being used and pushed to their limits.

Smoking wrecks of Banegliders littered the streets, their corpses burning as a thick smog of black smoke churned within the cityscape, the dead mounted piles of gore as blood drained from the streets, pooling across massive puddles that marked the sheer atrocities that were being committed.

Yet the sounds of weapons discharging still echoed across the city, as the battle cries of it's defenders roared out in defiance.

Winter looked out from within a hastily made trench-line, still seeing the endless tide of red from just outside the city, even behind the head injury she suffered she still held onto the hope that something will change, yet that small hope was starting to be gutted by the reality and horror she was seeing first hand.

'Hold! Hold damn you! We have to hold them here!' Echoed from one of her most hardened officers across the line, as rows of dust rifles blasted across the stretch of land towards the approaching enemy, some of the younger militia screamed and cried as towering monstrosities rumbled into their trench-lines, their screams of terror silenced as explosions of blood and gore followed the pounding of these engines. Baneglider cannons roared across the field as daemonic entities burst into concentrations of fire and blood from the massive explosions, all the while the roars of sheer carnage echoed across a thousand different sections at once.

This was true hell, an unrelenting hell that there was no escape from.

So this is how it ends Winter though, her mind turning towards the enemy as closure glimmered across her eyes. She watched in slow motion as the lines held admirably, beams of light flooding the area as a few brave men and women fixed their bayonets, charging towards the enemy with roars of defiance, their weapons warped and broken to such an extent that such a method was the only option. The sounds of artillery echoing across the field as the very ground itself shocked from it's wrath. While fresh bodies came from the rear to enforce the already faltering front-lines.

She looked up above, Solaris glaring across the surface of the world as her mind wandered, what was the state of the other worlds? Would there be any of them left? Perhaps they were the last ones holding out from the onslaught and this would be the last fleeting defiance of these worlds. All these thought swarmed through her mind as the enemy continued their momentum.

A single horn, it's tone simple yet powerful blasted itself across the field, her attention was pulled by the jarring note, as more noticed the sudden tone and power. Again the horn blasted across the battlefield like a knife, pulling her attention towards where the sound was originating.

The horn blasted again, it's tone becoming more profound as refracted lights from Solaris glared across the battlefield, the enemy noticed this as the defenders also had their attention pulled from both sound and sight.

Then the sounds of metallic footsteps echoed across the field as figures started to pour from the edge of their vision.

The echoes of metalic steps made way to figures of steel, their forms were unable to be discerned from the distance, yet the splattering of familiar colours held from these figures showed themselves. The crisp blue with gold filled the defenders with something that they though was lost to them.

The rumble of metal thumping across the ground echoed as Dimitri Soviesky crossed the ridge heading towards the great plains of Vierra, his eyes looked upon the city as his vision was filled with the raging battle, Vierra stood proud even as fire and smoke echoed across it's many streets and battlements, the sights of discharging weapons and movement of people showed the true scale of what they faced.

The enemy flooded out from the city walls, their numbers seemingly without end as red blanketed across the earth, surrounding the city was all manner of things, from lowly madmen whom were blotting the ground like weeds, to machines of such horror that it brought disgust to him.

'Vierra' he whispered, as the sounds continued to echo across the field, as more death continued unheeding of their arrival. He glanced behind him to take stock of his forces, from below he could see a horde of metal that continued to come from beyond the distant ravines, he pondered had he brought enough to ensure victory this day.

No he thought, his mind set in stone It is enough

More of their numbers occupied the area, their unofficial staging area had been set for them. As more of their numbers continued their journey he rallied his forces to ready themselves.

'Eren!' he bellowed from his command, a figure stepped forth, this wielding a massive sword and shield combination as he took a quick knee.

'Aye sir' Eren said, his voice was gruff and aged, as the paladin itself had various scars and battle wear from the many engagements he had partook in.

'Have your company and the sixth ready on the left flank' Dimitri said, a quick reply was given as the battle lines started to morph and shift.

'Marcile!' he said, as another came from the ranks, this figure carried a long ranged cannon as their primary weapon, while two massive rocket clusters were on both of the paladins shoulders.

'Aye commander!' Marcile said, her voice was one of slight optimism yet held a deep, almost weathered tone.

'Have your company ready our approach, set upon here and join in after the initial charge'

A quick salute let the figure move towards others within the growing force, more of their numbers flowing across to setup in pre determined positions.

'The rest of you, ready yourselves!' Dimitri said as many others stood shoulder to shoulder, their ranks standing tall as their armour glistened across their metallic surface.

The various lines and companions within the battle company shuffle into position, the machines stood tall upon the hill as the scent of blood and fire drifted upon the breeze.

Many within the company stood tall and proud, their machines aged and weathered by the vicious battles they had endured for the protection of this world, old wounds from the machines felt light and insignificant as many within their ranks pleaded with them to give just one more push, one more burst of defiance against the horrors of the dark.

Dimitri drew his blade, it was slimmer than a standard sword template, more in line with a nodaichi than anything more futuristic, yet to him such simplicity was enough for the task needed from him, his mind and heart steeled themselves, as the field fell into an almost silent trance.

The enemy had not been still during this time, various heavy weapons were lined up in firing formation within the front of the pack, while more numbers readied themselves, whipping their numbers into a mighty frenzy, roars of madness and the spilling of blood happened within as many different sets of eyes looked upon the newcomers, hunger and anger palpable upon their faces.

'Hear me now... sons and daughters of Elementia... hear me!' Dimitri said, his voice echoed upon his vox as his mind resolved itself to the task at hand.

'I will not speak a lie to you all... We stand before one of the greatest battles of our time... and indeed... the odds of our survival this day are not great. Yet we must... no... we Will claim victory upon this day!'

'I see before me, brave men and women whom have sacrificed soo much. We have lost family, we have lost our homes, we have even lost our hope... Yet today is not that day'

'I see our worlds, bathed in fire and blood, all from an enemy whom shows us no mercy. Yet today... is not that day!'

'On this day... we will stand, where all others would fall... on this day we will bring hope to those whom have lost it all... on this day. The light of justice will shine once more upon our home...'

'For today... Is OUR DAY!'

Bellows and cheers echoed across the war machines, the sounds of cheerful defiance echoed across the line as morale continued to soar.

'So come... follow me on this day... I ask not as your commander nor as your leader. But as one whom stands beside you... I do not bring hope upon the shoulders of myself, but upon the wings of us all! Follow, follow me unto life, unto death, onto the ends of our world and beyond!'

'Follow me, onto the light of hope, onto the dawn of the rising day! Follow... onto death!'

The chant continued upon the ranks, endless it seemed, Dimitri basked in this single moment, knowing that this would be remembered for an age, in an age of death, he will bring a moment of mankind's defiance.

Raising his blade, the machines of Terraria began their march towards the enemy.

The rumble of metallic footsteps echoed across the land, silver bathed the mountainside as the shinning metal reflected the Suns rays upon the attackers, as the seconds passed the rumbling continued to increase it's intensity, ever becoming more than it's previous state, never wavering in it's sheer power.

The horde of the maddened discharged their weaponry, all manner of rounds from all walks within their ranks unleashed their wrath upon the tide of metallic steel that marched towards them, yet for what seemed endless, it just did not phase the tide. Round after round pummeled into the wall, yet sheer grit moved them onward, even as many within their numbers fell to the onslaught.

Their march increased in tempo, increasing with intensity until they were rushing towards the enemy, they responded with more ordinance and firepower to be leveled upon this approaching foe, entire lascannon arrays were being discharged towards the line, artillery batteries within the core of the horde rained devastation upon the landscape, while the weaponry of endless numbers added themselves towards the enemy.

This show of force would have been sufficient to stop even the most stoic of enemies, yet to their ever rushing foe's. It was found wanting. Pulses of gold and blue echo across their ranks, rounds would be stopped by the sheer strength of their members as chakra sang a single and unstoppable tone.

The enemy started to panic, the machines were close to one hundred meters away from the front, as many within their numbers continued to pour their firepower, yet the line did not falter, as the roars of defiance and justice echoed from their vox speakers, the sounds started to pierce the enemy in their minds as their death came ever closer, yet unlike those whom charged them, the fear of death gone from their eyes, their enemy did not have the same conviction.

The line of the mad faltered as the onslaught of steel crashed upon it like the tides.

Great metal blades, twice the size of a full grown man plowed into the enemy, the first twenty lines crumpled as the wide swings reaped a bloody harvest, through the momentum they carried the line of metallic fury continued it's onslaught, each second pushing further into the enemies lines, headless of the damage to their own person, even as hundreds of thousands died to the initial charge, the force continued their rampage into even deeper lines within the enemy.

Dimitri roared a great bellow of hatred as his blade reaped a bloody harvest, many within his company continued their armored charge as they kept their attack going, even as the groans and fractures of their war-machines echoed, his paladin continued it's movement, as his arms swept across the figures before him, his screen blared warnings and tactical numbers as it's lenses was covered with the endless blood being spilled, he continued the push, never faltering even for a moment.

Seconds turned into minutes, as the line still crashed into the enemies ranks, explosive ordinance from the rear softened the lines, leaving glaring weak points where the paladin formations exploited to amazing effect, rivers of blood were spilled from the onslaught of Terrarian steel, yet the enemy had the numbers and blood to endure.

Both sides were forced to a battle of endurance, to whom would the victory be claimed in this grand battle? Will the mad and deranged drown the walkers in sheer overwhelming numbers? Or will the city be saved from it's demise by the fine edge of hardened steel.

The battle continued onward, it's fate balancing upon a fine edge.

'What do you think Blake?' Son asked her, the flickering of their communication vox faded in the background.

The two had stationed themselves in one of their many resting points, this one was within the ruins of an old warehouse on the outskirts of a deserted hive sprawl, the two followed a few set rules, never staying in one location for long due to the nature of their enemy. Eventually they will move from this location, one step ahead from tracking parties and recon squads.

'What is there to think about? We get in, set in the vox codes we need to and deploy a dust communicator to the array. Seems rather simple'

Son walked towards Blake, his look of concern striking her into a stumble.

'Blake... on any normal mission I would be agreeing with you... but this is not just some normal mission... and you have not been at your best for at least a month now, I don't think we are capable of doing this mission'

'Then what do you suggest!' Blake said, passion flooding from her voice as frustration etched itself upon her face 'We have been on this world for the past four months... scavenging... surviving... and for what?! We don't know what is happening out in the wider Imperium, we don't know who is friend or foe and to top it all off... I don't even know if my friends are still alive...'

Silence echoed around the camp, it continued onward for a time before Son gave a resigned sigh, he sat next to Blake as she took his offering and rested her weary head upon his shoulder, the duo merely sat within each other's company until Son broke the silence.

'I don't think we are in the best shape to complete this mission' he started, yet before Blake could argue against it Son continued.

'But I can tell that you would never forgive yourself if you had forsaken this chance... It's just... Even though we are both astartes Blake... even though I should not feel these emotions... I... I am afraid... of losing you'

Blake pulled the warrior to her, holding him as her head rested with his, her eyes looked upon his with a fiery conviction as she poured her emotions back towards the weathered astartes.

'If this one mission can help us to get back home, to see our friends and family, to get us out of this prison that sucks the soul out from all of us... then my life would be worth it. But I will say this now, I will not fail, nor will I perish'

'I know' Son said, his voice resigned 'Your too stubborn to let something like death stop you'

'Then we are in agreement Son. Come tomorrow, we ready ourselves'

Dawn started to rise upon Isstvan, the two astartes made their way through the various ruins and desecrated factories towards their destination.

Their target was an ancient communications array, this was one of the few remaining relics from Humanities past colony actions before it's fold into the Imperium. The traitors had established a heavily fortified outpost within the area, with a mile of fortified rockcrete and trenches that had various traitor forces patrolling on randomized shifts.

Son and Blake observed the various patrol routes and transitions across a period of three days, during that time the two remained inconspicuous as they did their meticulous planning and research.

'Look... there. It seems that not all of them are cooperating with each other' Blake said to Son, pointing to the frequent scuffles and outright hostile actions of the guards.

'That might actually work to our advantage, I reckon we use henge and clones to scout the internals of the area, I don't want us getting surprised when we get inside' he replied, looking through his optic scope.

The two continued their reconnaissance, each day they learned more from what to expect as they used various methods to infiltrate the facility with shadow clones. Eventually a plan was formed as the two readied themselves for the task.

It was approaching nighttime during a new moon, as the two were preparing themselves and their equipment for the task. The two of them made camp within one of the many out flowing sewer points near the facility, the smell was revolting but it was something the two had experience with so they paid it no mind, yet the advantage that it offered them was a way to disguise their scent from more acute sensing astartes.

'Hey Blake' Son said 'If we don't make it out... I just want you to know'

'Son... please... I have lost too many people already... I will not lose you here... we will succeed'

'I know Blake' Son said, his voice understanding 'I know'

'But... If it does come to that... I just want you to know that you have been the greatest thing in my life... I mean that'

'Darn it Son!' Blake said, frustration upon her voice 'Don't you listen to me?! I said we are going to …. going to'

'Blake?' Son said, his voice confused at Blake's sudden shift in tone.

He looked upon his partner to see her eyes watering, something that was rarely seen by the astarte, yet that moment made Son embrace her into a comforting hug.

'Hey... it's going to be okay' Son said, filling Blake up with his presence 'It will be okay'

'I'm... I'm afraid as well' Blake said, her voice quivering as she poured out her frustration 'I'm afraid that we are not going to make it... that everyone is going to die here on this planet... I'm afraid that my friends are all gone... or even worse... but most importantly... I'm afraid that this is not just here... that even our home...Menagerie Prime... it might be'

'Hey' Son said, giving her a comforting tone 'Our home is okay... your old man is one hell of a fighter... and even if our world gets assaulted, we faunus are mighty indeed'

'Your right' Blake said, wiping away her tears as she looked upon Son 'Your right'

'Sun's down now... this is our window'

After a few hesitant minutes, Blake nodded in agreement, the two cast off into the darkness.

The communications array was abuzz with activity, traitors paraded themselves among the various area's as hostilities between the legionaries was barely tolerated. Blake and Son traveled across the various rooms in silence, watching from the shadows as their eyes gave them insight beyond that of normal astartes, they hid behind various crates of munitions and provisions as they heard the complaints from the hostile forces.

'Why are we not killing yet!' one of the astartes shouted, this one in the colors of the World eaters, gore splattered upon his armour as he had just participated in a blood butchery from captured populaces from neighboring worlds, their fresh ichor coating his once white armour with fresh blood.

'You heard the orders from command... our trophies are going to be given as offerings for our masters... as a means for us to find these loyalist dogs and flush them out once and for all' said another one, an Emperor's children astartes from their colors.

'Perhaps you lot should be actually focusing on our objective, which is to ensure no loyalist will actually be able to use these communications. The fleet still hasn't found the splinter of loyalist dogs that had fled the fighting... and such variables are not acceptable' another astartes, this one an Iron warrior said.

'I say we let the little innocent ones run... follow them as they try and find shelter... I would take a gander that many of those loyalist would fall for saving the poor innocent souls... that is when we can pounce and kill all of them... indeed it would be such a sweet thing to do' This came from the last within the room, the lone Night lord whom was carrying a very demented smile as he described the various methods they could kill their victims.

Son and Blake held back their disgust but filed the information about that sacrifice for later, for now the two astartes used a combination of chakra to walk across the ceiling and to muffle their sounds to be non existent. The two made it a quarter of the way across the various facilities when they paused, noticing something that made them alert.

The two started making hand signs, the language one of their local specialties and a means for them to not communicate verbally.

'Something is wrong... area looks compromised' Blake said, Son gave a nod as he pointed out various places within the area.

'Marked area's. Signs of modifications... most likely motion detectors... how do you want to proceed?'

Blake gave a moment of consideration, looking across the ruined area she could see no less than twenty potential modification zones, each one making her instincts go haywire from the extensive tampering and effort made to cover their presence. After a while she noticed an area that was suspiciously light on these zones, yet had a feeling that this was a lure to get intruders that did not understand the intricacies of stealth and espionage.

'I see a possible route... but I know it's most likely a railroad section... I just don't know what kind of surprise is waiting after it all'

'Should we risk it?' Son replied, his face showing slight hesitation. Blake weighted her options, finding none of them good, yet she decided that it would be better if they take a path of lesser evil.

'We'll go down the northwest path, it's not the safest route but at least the security is nothing that we can't handle'

'Understood... lets do this Blake... P.s... Love you girl'

Blake had to hold back a blush as she read the last of Son's hand signs, her mind was firing at how brazen he was even though they were in potential danger.

The two of them continued their slow advance, taking every opportunity and angle they could to reduce their detection, their advanced was slowed down during two critical moments, one where the area was saturated with various detection devices that forced the two to actually detour around the area, costing them more time, the other they had almost had a moment where they were nearly discovered by accident when a stray guard from the traitors deviated from their usual patrol route because they had been impatient and decided to be selfish.

They would have been noticed had not for the intervention of another astartes, this one made the guard start to become hostile to the other astartes as the two decided to resolve with violence, allowing the two to pass by with the smallest of margins.

'That was too close' Blake said in hand signs 'Had that other traitor didn't come we would have been seen'

'I guess we can count ourselves lucky for that' Son replied, his helmet looking upon Blake yet he was smiling from behind it's cover.

'We should be four rooms away from the terminal, after that we just need to plant and hide the dust transmitter, then we are home free'

A sudden hiss from the door caught the two off guard, as a traitor made his way into the room where the two of them had gathered, the astarte froze, yet in that moment Son and Blake leaped into action.

Before the guard could even utter a word, a blade sliced the exposed neck point of their armour, Blake held their hands as Son drove the blade into their neck, a spurt of blood starting to flow from the wound.

Yet Blake felt something wrong within her body, her abdominal area was giving her a pain that was unlike anything she had felt, Bile regurgitated from her mouth as she felt her body start to spasm from the combination of pain and her body suffering a momentary shock to her system. It was in this moment that the traitor, as his life was leaving him, gave a single moment of defiance as he ripped one of his hands out from Blake's hold due to her stagger, allowing him to push a button on his person.

Alarms blared across the compound as the traitor drew his last breath, while Son sheathed his knife and walked up towards Blake, she was kneeling on the ground, her helmet had been discarded as she projected a stream of bile from her throat, her hand was reaching for her abdomen as she continued to feel the pain.

It took a few seconds for her mind to filter out the pain, yet the damage had already been done as the alerts of the facility and the moving of footsteps echoed across the area.

'Blake... we gotta move!' Son said, pulling the astartes back to her feet as the two forgo their stealth, now rushing out from the room into the facility towards the terminal.

Boltgun and volkite rounds pummeled the area, as the sounds of various traitors echoed across the entire facility, Blake tried to keep her body upright but the echoing pain was starting to rear itself to her, Son continued to pull her forward as his specialized dust gun was landing critical blows to each astartes before them.

By some miracle, they managed to make it towards the array control module, Son took a defensive position, sabotaging the main entrance towards the room while Blake started to breach the cogitators.

'How is it looking Blake?' Son asked, his eyes looking towards one of the various windows out towards the oncoming enemy force, a few discharges of his dust gun echoed across the room.

'This is a mess... it's gonna take me a while to breach it'

'Well... I hope your not gonna take more than a few minutes... cause we ain't got that much time for more than a few minutes' Son said, his dust gun blasting across the area as various screams of astartes happened.

Blake combed through the many systems as she was met with various forms of firewalls and other such security measures, these would be easy for her expertise yet the pain within her abdomen and the now escalating firefight made her receive numerous errors across the cogitators.

'Damn... piece of crap machine... just let me..'

A chime echoed across the cogitator as Blake felt relief, continuing her task she managed to plant the sub-code needed for the dust transmitter and integrated it manually into the wiring of the communications array, she opened the maintenance hatch of the machine and carefully inserted the dust communicator into the machine, taking care to hide it in a place no other will dare to find it.

With that final step, a quick check of the programming code ensured that the system was indeed operational and is receiving to the hidden transponder nodes that were hidden across the planet that allowed loyalist communications.

'Alright! Son... were done here, we can leave'

'Thank humanity for that' Son said, as his ammo reserves was starting to take a hit, he primed a krak grenade and tossed it down the corridor, collapsing the structure and halting the advancing traitors from reaching them as they ex-filtrated out using a maintenance vent.

The two continued their movement, alarms were still blazing across the compound yet the two used their stealth skills to full effect, evading multiple aggressive patrols and even a battle company worth of astartes. Eventually they reached a zone they deemed safe as the two took a moment to rest.

'Blake... what was that before?' Son asked, concern upon his face.

'I... I don't know' she replied, confusion upon her face even though the pain had subsided for the time being.

'I think we should make our way towards the closest command zone, perhaps the apothecaries there can see what is wrong'

'I...' Blake said, hesitation upon her voice 'I think your right Son' she said, finally agreeing with the astartes on this matter.

'Then I guess it's time for us to head out' Son said, starting to rise up from his resting position.

A sudden crack echoed across the room, as Blake looked on in horror towards Son. He had a look of surprise upon his face but suddenly knew something was wrong when his body did not respond to him, collapsing upon the floor.

Behind him, stood a single figure, it's scale like armour and blue tonal color made Blake realized they had forgotten one other force that the traitors had that would be a threat to the duo.

'Hydra dominatus!' screamed the astartes as he drew his blade from his sheathe. The bolt pistol that he had just used looked like it had suffered a catastrophic problem as the barrel looked warped and cracked in the low light environment.

Blake rushed at the astarte, the two of them exchanging blows with their weapons as Blake was being gripped by rage, yet her opponent was using that to goad her into attacking him recklessly.

Blades echoed across the area as the two continued their struggle, the traitor astarte pulled his blade into a feint, which Blake had been pulled into. His blade had come down upon her as he felt triumph of his inevitable victory, yet was surprised as Blake changed her shape into a figure of Ice dust, trapping the hand of the traitor into the statue.

Appearing upon his flank, Blake slammed her blade into the throat of the legionnaire, a gurgle sounding out as blood leaked from his now slit throat. It's form folded into the ground as Blake rushed towards Son.

'Son!' Blake said, concern upon her eyes as she looked upon the downed astartes.

'Blake...I...my legs... I can't feel my legs' Son said, as he tried to look upon them. Blake pulled the astarte towards a pillar as she looked upon the traitors gun, inspecting the magazine painted a grim picture towards her as she realized what Son had been struck with.

'Banestrike... Damn traitor... I thought we got rid of the supply depot where these were'

'Well..' Son said, his voice grunting 'It looks like we missed a few' he said as he gave a laugh but then grunted in pain. Blake took care to turn Son around to inspect the damage, noticing the round entered upon his lower spinal area, which would explain Son's inability to suddenly use his legs.

Blake pulled him up as the two hobbled out from the area they had taken refuge, the two continued on towards the command area.

The sun rose up upon Isstvan as the two continued across the battlefield, with Blake carrying Son it made their trekking more dangerous as she had to ensure that the both of them could make it across the terrain even in this reduced state.

The two made their way to an enclosed shelter, as Blake settled the wounded astartes upon a rock, the two of them pulled out their combat rations as they took a moment to recover their strength.

'Blake' Son said, a few minutes during their resting 'Your going to have to get to the base without me'

'What?' Blake said, her voice shocked as she looked upon Son 'You can't be serious!'

'Blake' Son said, his tone serious 'You can't carry me there and I can't support myself. You will be faster without me to slow you down. You can get a squad to follow you and bring me after'

'But... what if... what if they find where you are?' Blake ask, hesitation in her voice.

'This shelter is a natural choke point. I can defend myself with my weapons and hold them back. I know you will make it back in time if it came to it'

Blake had a sinking feeling within her, even through the pain. What she was asked to do was risk leaving Son to make it to the command zone, hoping on the off chance that she is able to find help, return them to this area and give Son medical aid, all without knowing if the enemy has already picked up their trail yet.

She weighted her options, yet felt a somber thought at realizing that this is the only way that can work.

'You better not die Son' Blake said, her tone set in stone as she looked upon the wounded astartes.

'Understand Blake... I will be waiting for you'

The echoes of Blake's footsteps came out from the shelter, while Son took stock of the weapons at his disposal and the ammunition available for him.

Kurama continued his experimenting within the darkness of the prison, next to him the subconsciousness of Naruto was sleeping upon the floor.

He had lost track of how much time had passed within the place, yet by his estimation he would have to guess that time is dilated somehow, as he can feel the flow of his chakra taking a long while to refresh itself due to the siphoning effect.

I see, so the energy that is being expunged is still somewhere within the system... if we are able to connect to that energy then we might be able to collapse the structure around the inner core... but how to access that is the problem

A groan echoed across the chamber as Kurama looked upon his other occupant, Naruto started to open his eyes as he looked around the area. Realizing that Kurama was next to him Naruto was confused for a moment.

'Kurama?... but how?'

'You are in your mindscape Naruto... I had to knock you out for the time being'

'Ohh' Naruto replied, realizing that his momentary episode of not being able to do basic body functions was making his mind panic, leaving him in no condition to cope with it.

He looked upon Kurama, as his chakra was flaring a golden glow across his mindscape. Noticing that his chakra was being pulled out from the various area's made him observe on what was happening with his chakra, noticing many little details that the tailed beast was not picking up.

'How long was I out for?' Naruto asked, Kurama gave a small shrug

'I do not know the specifics, but this dimension is heavily time dilated. It almost feels like months'

Naruto had a look of concern upon his face, yet he felt that even though time had been changed he still had a gut feeling that he was still on the planet, meaning that they still has a chance to return to the Will of Fire.

'Naruto' Kurama said, his tone curious 'Can you try and go into sage mode for me?'

'Why Kurama?' Naruto asked 'Did you think of something?'

'Just humor me' he replied, as Naruto took a meditative stance within his mind.

Due to his body not actually being able to move, entering sage mode was remarkably easy to the primarch, the telltale signs of his eyes changing flowed over his form as his chakra started to pull from what he could maybe tell is chakra, but it almost felt faint to his senses.

'This is weird' Naruto said 'I can feel myself go into sage mode... but the chakra feels almost distant... like...'

'Like it's coming through from another place... correct?' Kurama asked, getting a nod from Naruto.

Kurama had a grin upon his face, as though he had just figured out a puzzle, while Naruto was looking at him with confusion.

'I figured out that whatever energy that leaks from this place actually doesn't leave the device. Rather, the energy is siphoned elsewhere within the device itself, in effect becoming a storage for energy'

Naruto looked at him, curiosity upon his face as Kurama realized Naruto was still confused on what he was saying.

'Basically' Kurama said, his tone mildly annoyed 'This prison is connected to an outer part, like an "outer core" while we at the moment are trapped in the "inner core" This means that the energy I have been releasing has accumulated enough for sage mode to notice it'

'Cause your chakra is closer to nature chakra than most thing!' Naruto said, realization upon his voice.

'Exactly... so if we can use sage mode to harness that chakra and keep it within that outer core' Kurama said, his tone smug

'We can use it to breach the inner core where we are... rupturing this place and potentially freeing us from this' Naruto replied, realizing what his friend was doing.

'I can hazard a guess' Kurama said 'That if we breach and shatter this part, the whole device will collapse and we will end up outside'

'But... what are the chances that we don't just end up... well... dying?' Naruto asked, his tone rather hesitant. Kurama gave a bellowed laugh as he looked upon Naruto.

'Naruto... you are one of the luckiest people I know... I have in good faith that this is not how we will die... On my life I swear it'

'Well... ain't nothing else we can do' Naruto said, giving a smile 'Then lets do this!'

'Well...' Kurama said, 'For this to work... you will need to be in control of your body again'

Silence echoed across the room as Naruto looked at him with an angry expression.

'You want me... to go back outside?! What the hell Kurama!'

'Hey' Kurama said, his tone serious 'I know this will be uncomfortable for you Naruto... and it will indeed be traumatic... but this is the only way we can get out of this place'

'I just... Kurama... I can't... I just...'

'Naruto... suck it up!' Kurama replied, as Naruto looked upon his friend

'You have faced even worse things... hell you have even looked upon death itself and defied it... This is nothing to you'

'Just remember this... you will be fine. Your body will feel like it's in pain, but you are fine'

'I...I will try Kurama'

Naruto calmed himself, as he prepared for the incoming sense of apathy. His form shunted from his mindscape as he eyes looked onward to eternal darkness. The anxiety and pain that wracked his mind before struck him again, yet this time he sheltered his mind, pushing away the pain and the fear of the absolute darkness around him and concentrated.

As his body was in a state of stasis, accessing Sage mode was actually much easier than expected due to the nature of being unable to move even a single muscle. Chakra from somewhere started to flood into his system, balancing itself with his internal energy, becoming a single, homogeneous form.

'Kurama... it worked!'

Kurama felt the chakra starting to gather around his host, a smile upon his face as he realized this plan might actually succeed.

'That's good Naruto... but try and have the chakra stay out where it is...And wait for my signal'

'ok... I will try... but it really wants to come back into me'

'If I can say one thing Naruto... is that you will manage to find a way'

Naruto spent the next time frame slowly figuring out what kind of control he could exert upon the chakra. Slowly he figured out that using his now empowered sage chakra as a repelling barrier was able to keep the chakra from entering his body, yet such a contradiction to the use of chakra meant that his own chakra was being used much more to hold back the wanting mass.

'Kurama... it's trying to come back... I can't hold it back much longer'

The tailed beast gave a massive breath, as his chakra burst forth from Naruto, the chakra burst out towards the edges of the dimension, yet like clockwork, the dimension pulled the power away from the inner core, draining the pulse.

'Naruto... do you feel that pulse from the outside?' Kurama asked, while Naruto could feel on the outer senses of his skill the pulse of energy trying to return to him.

'Ye...yea... I can...'

'Good... then what I need you to do it get the chakra to pull into the core... Focus and concentrate it as much as you can...try and make it like the rasengan. I have a plan'

Naruto felt something echo within the darkness, pulling his attention. A sudden bright spark echoed within the dark, as his eyes adjusted to the sudden light. He felt a voice flood into his mind, it's tone was ancient, one that felt in a way fractured.

'ENEMY'

More lights echoed across the darkness, each one lighting up the area as Naruto was trying to digest what he was witnessing. Thousands of sparks echoed across the nearly endless space across the darkness, yet Naruto felt an almost feeling of dread wash upon his skin.

'OLD ONE'

'ENEMY'

'Kurama...'

Pulling away from his task, Kurama looked through the eyes of Naruto and was struck with confusion, then a sense of bubbling dread.

'….That's... not good'

'DESTROY'

'ENEMY'

'ASPECT'

'ENEMY'

Energy coalesced across the darkness, lighting up the landscape in a conflagration of light. Yet the dimension around them rippled and the light started to fade as the excess energy was being purged from the inner core. Naruto could only watch as the shards of lights within the darkness continued this almost mindless display of power.

'I... I don't think we're gonna get out of here alive if we don't get this done Kurama...'

'Yea... I noticed Naruto... Just give me a bit more time'

'Please... do hurry'

Golden chakra pulsed out from Naruto. It's magnitude and destructive force echoed across the void of nothingness even as the sparks of ancient beings echoed across him. Naruto looked on with stasis locked eyes at what he was witnessing, forces of both ancient and powerful clashing in a kaleidoscopic inferno. He felt even through the stasis his body being bombarded with all manner of unbridled energy, even as Kurama roared within his mind.

'NOW NARUTO!. Focus and pull in all you can! We only have this one chance'

Naruto focused everything into his task, feeling the chakra echoing from beyond and concentrating on a singular point back towards his body.

The area shuddered as a pulse of cataclysmic force pounded the outer shell of the dimension, while Kurama's chakra pulsed from the inside, forcing itself to expand as much as possible.

The shards of energy stumbled, their pulses echoing some fragments of confusion, while the echo's of power continued to pulse across the prison.

'It's working! Keep it going!'

'IMPOSSIBLE'

'ABNORMALITY'

'IMPOSSIBLE'

'DESTROY'

'ENEMY'

Minutes passed, yet to Naruto it felts like eternities, as the dimensional structure tried to contain this concentration of pure power. Eventually something would have to be compromised.

This happened as a massive fracture within the dimension flooded the area with an almost blinding light.

'IMPOSSIBLE!'

'HOW?!'

Naruto could feel his body being released from the stasis hold, as he gave out a bellowing scream as his chakra pulsed with absolute abandon. Even as the dimension itself cracked and gave way to the onslaught of pure power.

'Ready yourself Naruto! I don't know what's going to happen next!' Kurama said within his mind, even as Naruto was bathed in the blinding light.

The tomb was abuzz as various protocol errors started to flash across it's various surfaces.

Trazyn looked onward as he noticed the various errors coming from the tesseract Vaults within the tomb complex, each error was grating at his patience as he was still excited at his recent prize he had claimed.

'Does anyone have a status on what is bloody going on?'

'Unidentified error my lord' Replied one of the cryptek subordinates next to him 'The Tesseract vault is showing signs of elevated energy readings within it's dimensional casing... The data is inconclusive whether it is dangerous or not'

'Well... get it sorted... I have a prize that must be returned to Solemnace within that vault... I would prefer that the cargo remains undamaged'

The cryptek gave their nod as they adjusted various parameters within the vault, yet gave a small pause as it noticed an error that was beyond the scope of it's expertise.

'My lord?' The cryptek said, yet Trazyn was muttering to himself, lost in his idea's about his newly acquired prize.

'Maybe I should place him in a diorama... What should the title of it be? "The last Great enemy"?... No... too boring... perhaps "Last of the old ones"... No... No that doesn't have the pizzazz I seek'

Pulses of unknown energy, this being a combination of a vibrant blue and blinding gold started to seep out from the Vault's mechanical linings, the Cryptek looked on in fascination as the anomaly continued to escalate, even as more warnings echoed across his monitoring systems.

'My Lord... This might require your attention' The cryptek said, his tone flat yet some measure of panic echoed across it, Trazyn gave out a frustrated sigh as he looked upon his servant with an almost annoyed expression.

'Ohh for the love of... What is it now?! Do you lot have no competence?! Is that what you are telling me? I give you lot a bit of my attention and this is the thanks you give to me... Can you not see that your trifling matter means nothing to the grand ambitions of my great work?'

The cryptek paused, hesitant to answer that question. Yet a massive explosion answered for him instead.

The tomb complex was ruptured from it's inner core, thousands of crypts and repair facilities were obliterated from the initial shockwave of the explosion. Warnings blazed across the tomb as all manner of protocols were given to the almost impossible scenario.

Trazyn, by some unexplained reason stumbled out from the blast area, looking upon the recently destroyed inner core complex he saw a single figure standing before him. His eyes were in disbelief as he saw the familiar golden haired figure he had just captured, Naruto had his eyes closed as he took a deep breath, his chakra pulsing around him in a golden glow as he opened his eyes, looking at Trazyn with golden cross slits.

'H...how?! That is impossible' Trazyn said, his voice showing genuine surprise even as Naruto continued to look onward towards him. Naruto's chakra continued to distort the tomb complex, as reality itself almost started to bleed from the sheer energy output.

Various Crypteks across the place tried to implement the various containment and emergency protocols across the tomb complex, yet the cascading errors were starting to escalate as the vile energies within the vault started to coalesce together, collapsing from the sheer output of power being compacted through an almost apocalyptic feedback loop.

Yet Trazyn just continued to look upon Naruto, watching something that was beyond his knowledge, even as Naruto continued to look at him with silence.

'Wha... what are you?' Trazyn asked, his voice touched by curiosity and almost a tad touch of fear.

He would not receive an answer as Naruto suddenly disappeared, a golden flash being the last remnants of his presence upon the planet.

Naruto took a knee as he felt his chakra almost drain from the sudden shift. Looking up from his position he saw familiar faces as Inari took a knee towards the primarch, in his hand was a familiar marker as he was embraced by the smaller figure.

'It worked... big brother... I'm glad' Inari said, Naruto tried to say something but his voice did not project out. Naruto fell towards the floor as the onset of his actions hit his body, he could only feel pain as every part of his body was hurting.

'Get him to the apothecarion!' Inari said as astartes rushed towards their primarch. They carried the figure as Inari took command once again of the bridge, yet the voice of his first officer pulled his attention.

'Captain... I am detecting unknown gravitational fluctuations happening within the planet'

'How bad?'

'Unsure Captain... but we should not linger as the readings are starting to escalate'

'Understood... Thandesious! What is our status on warp transit?' Inari asked from his comms panel upon his seat.

'The warp has calmed Captain' Thandesious 'That green beam has done it! I can see the astronomican again... we have our heading'

'Then we have no time to lose' Inari said, 'Prepare all crews for an unscheduled warp jump. We will make all haste back to Elementia'

'Aye Captain' Replied the crew along with Thandesious, as the shudders across the ship started to shut close, various warning were flaring across the Will of Fire as it's warp engines flared once again to life. The great ship rushed into the tear in reality as behind the planet started to collapse, finally compressing after a time as a singularity started to bleed out towards realspace.

Naruto would open his eyes after an undetermined amount of time, yet the massive headache and aches across his body would make him groan in pain as a hand would reach out towards him.

'Easy Naruto...Easy' replied the voice, Naruto was able to figure out the voice as his eyes tried to adjust to his environment.

'Fujima?' Naruto said, his voice cracked as the apothecary gave the primarch a simple glass of water. Taking careful sips of the liquid Naruto could feel the graininess of his voice start to subside.

'If anyone else had come to my apothecarion in the same condition you had then they would have died. Ruptured organs, extensive muscle tearing and even dangerous concentrations of Carbon dioxide within your bloodstream' the apothecary said, looking upon his data slate.

'That bad huh?' Naruto replied, his voice stoic.

'Somehow I feel that this is going to be a common state for you...somehow'

Naruto gave a small chuckle as even Fujima gave a resigned sigh at the almost casual take from his primarch. Naruto looked upon the apothecary with a more serious stare.

'How long was I out?' Naruto asked.

'According to my time... you have been incapacitated for approximately 24 standard hours' the apothecary replied.

'Huh... felt longer in my head' Naruto said, yet his gaze was pulled to the closed ship blinds next to the apothecarion.

'We're in warp transit...I guess it worked'

'Indeed Naruto' replied Fujima 'Your gamble actually allowed us to leave that planet. We are currently on route to Elementia and from the reports on the bridge will be in Elementia space within the next 2 weeks'

'Fourteen days... I hope we are not too late' Naruto said, his heart feeling a heavy weight as he feared what had happened with his worlds.

Within a darkened room, on a world of machine. Green glaring eyes opened. The figure showed no emotions, as his face was of metallic flesh, unable to move nor change, Yet within his core something almost familiar nested itself.

'To think... a tesseract vault... one of the pinnacles to our race... destroyed by this...this upstart' the figure said, his tone almost frustrated.

'Little old one... no... Little Naruto... how does one like you manage to exist in this galaxy?... what manner of events led to your existence?'

'You would be a prize of such exalted value that none within this galaxy... nay I say this universe would compare... a diamond in a cesspool of nothingness...'

'Mark my words little Naruto... sooner or later... whether I will take a century or millennia... I will be given my due... and you will be the grand jewel within my museum... just you wait little Naruto'

The figure sat still upon his throne, as the rumbling of the world around him continued on, even as the galaxy was still walking through the stream of time.

Well hello there fellow humans

This chapter was an interesting one. I would gander it is padding for events to come. But I find it good nonetheless.

Anyway. until Next time
