Ladybug threw her yo-yo, swinging towards where she saw Cat Noir crash. She had really wanted to have a break today. Why wasn't Shadowmoth tired of this yet? Didn't he want to take a vacation before he got back at it? Was he trying to run Ladybug and Cat Noir into the ground?
Ladybug landed and swung her yo-yo expertly, blocking a series of lightning and water directed at her from the victim.
"H-how is she doing that?" Ladybug glanced over her shoulder to see a troubled looking Lloyd.
"She's been akumatized," Ladybug answered. "Get out of here! Cat and I will save her!"
"She's my sister," Kai shouted. "I can't just leave her…."
"ARGH!!" Hurricane turned to Kai, fuming as a storm brewed around her. "YOU! You just had to make the sting worse!"
Kai was flabbergasted. "Me? Nya, what…?"
"I TOLD YOU," she roared. "I'M NO LONGER NYA! I'M HURRICANE! AND DON'T YOU TRY TO STOP ME YOU FRUIT COLORED NIN—"
Cat Noir cut her off as he tried to tackle her, but ended up going straight on through her. He went into a roll before popping back to his feet by his lady, twisting his staff to block another shot fired.
"This akuma is really powerful," Ladybug grunted, her arm aching from the force of the blows she had blocked.
Hurricane growled and blasted off into the air. She stopped before moving out of sight.
Ladybug muttered a curse. "She's heading towards the Seine! If she gets near a larger source of water…."
"Her power increases." Cat Noir grimly finished.
"Can we help?"
Ladybug turned to face Lloyd and the others. The blonde stood at the head. Kai was directly behind him, the muscles in his jaw twitching. Jay had a panicked look to him, though she could sense it wasn't from the danger of the attacks.
Cat shook his head. "It's too dangerous—"
"Actually," Ladybug cut off Cat Noir. "She's angry with you all. If you go with Cat to distract her and lead her away from the Seine, I can go grab some needed back-up."
Cat looked at her before nodding. "As you say, My Lady."
"But first…" Ladybug threw her yo-yo upwards. "Luckycharm!"
Out of the sky dropped a hammer and chisel. She grabbed it with her hands, looking at the items.
"What are you gonna do with that?" Jay asked, his eyebrows pinched together in confusion.
"I think I know," she hummed. "The akumatized object was probably liquified with her. So break it, we'll need to turn it back into a solid." Ladybug nodded. "I'll be right back! Good luck!"
—
"Yo, Hurricane!"
Kai watched as the thing that was his sister turned towards him, a murderous look on her face. Or at least, what was supposed to be her face. She formed one of her favorite weapons, a sai, out of churning water and cackling electricity.
"I thought you were ugly beforehand, I just didn't want to say anything. But now we definitely need an intervention!"
"YOU'RE gonna need an intervention when I REARRANGE YOUR FACE!"
So, this "akuma" did not change her temper in the slightest.
A blast of sparking water was sent in his direction, but it was sloppily thrown and he easily dodged it.
"Geez, your aim too!" Cole taunted, emerging from a street across from Kai. He folded his arms and leaned against the building in a casual, "I'm not worried" sort of way. "Dareth can throw better than that."
"HE CAN NOT!" Hurricane took a threatening step towards the two. And away from the river. "We all know the only reason he wasn't skewered by a stone soldier was because he found the helmet."
"I don't know," Kai pitched in, trying to rile her up more. "You should've seen the way he 'penguin'-ed at the soldiers. Could teach you a thing or two."
"You're kidding, right?!" She took another step forward.
Lloyd stepped out. "Of course we aren't. After all, you were never fit to join the team."
That did it. Hurricane snapped. "I was more fit than all of you combined!"
"Then why did you join late?"
Hurricane charged at Lloyd, water whipping around her as she struck. Lloyd jumped and arched his back, narrowly dodging the attack before he landed nimbly on his feet. Then he turned and started running away from the river.
Hurricane followed.
Cat Noir fell into stride beside Kai, who had started down a different road, hoping to intercept in case she got too close to Lloyd. "What was that all about?"
"A game we all played that came to represent something bigger," he lied. "We hoped aggravating her would get her to follow. Seems we were right."
"We will need to apologize once she is returned to normal," Zane called down. Kai glanced up to see him running parallel to them from the rooftop.
"She won't remember any of it," Cat Noir offhandedly said.
"Wait, what?"
"Hey, Hurricane!"
A lady with blue hair and a red outfit dropped onto the ground behind hurricane, but it wasn't the Ladybug superheroine they had met previously. Kai stopped and tensed. Two villains?
"Thank goodness," Cat huffed, stopped and turned into a fighting stance as Hurricane came into view, seething at Ryuko. "Ryuko can really take a toll on her."
"Ryuko?"
"Dragon Miraculous," Cat summed up as Ladybug and another superhero with red hair and horns dropped next to them.
"I don't have much time left," Ladybug announced, nodding at the goat-looking superhero. He nodded then raised a giant…paintbrush?
"These just keep getting weirder and weirder," Kai muttered to himself.
"Genesis!"
Out of thin air appeared—a freezer.
"And weirder."
"Ryuko! Now!"
The dragon superheroine yelled something Kai couldn't hear before literally transforming into water. Ryuko, now water, darted at and started herding Hurricane. Kai took a step back when Cat Noir gave him a look, and watched as Hurricane was forced into the freezer. The top was slammed shut as it shook furiously. A minute passed before Ladybug opened it, hammer and chisel in hand.
"This is the only thing that has shape," she said, pointing to the yang necklace on a frozen Hurricane. Ladybug broke off the yang pendant before crushing it in her hand. A purple and black butterfly exited.
Kai whipped around to see Nya back to herself, groaning as she got shivered. He took off his jacket and laid it around her shoulders as he helped her out of the magical freezer.
"You okay?" He murmured to her as he hugged her.
"Wh-what happened?" Nya's voice was slow and groggy. "My head hurts."
Kai looked up to see Ladybug releasing a white butterfly from her yo-yo before throwing her hammer and chisel into the air.
"Good news is," Kai said to Nya as ladybugs started repairing the damage done, to his amazement. Why didn't they get anything like that? "We've found the Miraculouses."
"The bad news," Lloyd said as he joined them. "So has he. And I'm sure he's not afraid to take it from them."
