June 7th, 2020

Harry's phone was ringing, he realised. Still half asleep, he wondered if it were a wrong number, or perhaps one of the scam callers that had recently become an ever growing problem. As he debated on answering it, the ringing stopped, likely sending the caller to his voicemail. Ginny's phone, on the other nightstand, started ringing. Harry reached for his glasses, sitting up as Ginny's phone fell silent. It seemed too weird that both phones would ring so close together unless someone was actually trying to reach them.

His phone began to ring just as he reached for it, the vibration of his phone rattling in the otherwise quiet room. Teddy's name was flashing across the screen, the top of the screen showing two missed calls and a few texts.

His now twenty two year old godson was in Kansas studying magical medicine, now joined by Victoire, and would know it was barely two in the morning for Harry. The fact he was calling this early made Harry feel uneasy. Something had to be incredibly wrong, especially if he was calling Harry and not his own parents.

Swiping the green icon, Harry barely had a chance to hold the phone to his ear before Teddy was speaking. Teddy sounded hysterical, saying something about how he couldn't get home and he needed Harry to go somewhere.

"Teddy, I can't understand you, what's going on?" Harry asked, trying to speak over Teddy's hysterics.

"It's Mum and Dad! They were in an accident! Maidstone hospital just called me, you need to go for me!"

"What? No, they-" Harry had crossed the room and pulled the curtains back. Across the street, there were no lights and only Teddy's car(the burnt orange car that had once been Ted's, which Dora and Remus had stopped driving after Eliza was born so they could get a bigger car) was parked, in the same spot it had been since he left for his trip months ago. There were no other cars at the dark and silent Lupin house. Harry felt his stomach drop.

Harry had tried to call Dora the night before when they hadn't called to check in on Eliza before bed, as they always did when Eliza was staying the night anywhere else, but she hadn't answered. He hadn't thought anything of it, she often missed calls, but it had struck him as weird when he had tucked the younger Lupin daughter into bed at his house and still hadn't heard back, especially since full moon had passed only a couple of days before and Eliza was still not well. However, of everyone to leave Eliza with so soon after a full moon, they knew Harry and Ginny were the best choice, and Eliza had really wanted a sleepover with Lily anyway.

Teddy was still yelling. "Evan was with them! I'm on my way to the airport, we can't get portkeys for three days, it might be faster to fly- I don't know-"

"Where- which hospital?" Harry asked, his mouth dry. He was certain Teddy had already told him, but the information had slipped away so quickly.

"Maidstone, they wouldn't tell me anything over the phone-"

"It's okay, Teddy, I'm going. I'll call when I get there, keep your phone with you, in case they call again."

Teddy had hung up the second Harry finished talking, likely to keep trying to get ahold of his parents or sister. Harry got dressed quickly, rushing downstairs. Ginny was at the kitchen table working on an article, ink smudged on her hands as she furiously crossed out words, looking up as Harry entered.

"Ginny, we have to go, there was an accident." Harry said. "Teddy's on his way to the airport, he can't get a Portkey for three days, he's going to try to fly back instead."

"I'll go get Mum to watch the girls." She said, jumping up. "What happened?"

"It's Remus and Dora, I guess they got in an accident but the hospital won't tell him anything over the phone. That's why no one's been home."

Ginny grabbed Floo powder and disappeared into the fireplace. Harry's hands were trembling as he tried to find his car keys, unable to remember which jacket he had left them in. He hadn't driven his car in a few days because he had been working, and now figured driving would be a better option than Apparating. He wouldn't want to risk Splinching in his current anxiety filled state. Ginny reappeared, Molly following her. Molly was still in the process of tying her dressing gown over her nightgown.

"The girls are still asleep, say nothing to them if they wake up before we come back, we'll let you know when we can. Please check Eliza's fever too, she's already had the maximum dose of fever reducing potion she's allowed. There is some paracetamol in the cupboard above the sink, but she can only have it if the fever is still high, her Healers don't like too many things being mixed together." Ginny said, and Molly nodded.

"Of course, I will take care of it." She promised. Anyone who had any kind of contact with Eliza was well versed in her condition and the various potions and medications that made her life manageable.

Ginny grabbed her purse. "And we might call, so make sure you answer if the phone rings." Ginny said, grabbing the jacket Harry left on the kitchen chair a few nights before, retrieving his keys. Harry's heart was pounding, his hands trembling as he went to take the keys from Ginny. "I'll drive." Ginny decided. "Which hospital?"

"Maidstone."

Ginny nodded again, leading him from the house. He struggled to remain calm on the way to the hospital, getting agitated the longer the drive went on. Once they got out of Dartford, the drive wasn't terribly long but it felt like an eternity.

As Ginny drove, he tried to call Evan and Dora, and finally Remus, but none of the calls were answered. Of all of them, Evan was most likely to answer. Dora often missed calls but always called back quickly if she wasn't at work, because her phone remained home if she was working. Remus was always the hardest to get ahold of. He didn't like texting and rarely had his phone on him in the first place. Harry would be surprised if he had even taken it tonight, when their plan had only been to take Evan out to dinner near a school she was interested in attending when she was done secondary. Evan was a squib and while they tried hard to ensure she didn't feel excluded, Harry knew Evan still felt distant from everyone else. Remus and Dora worked hard to try to keep her close, and that often meant they'd take special interest in anything non-magical that she showed interest in. Evan was really the only reason her parents had gotten phones, Harry knew, which is why getting ahold of them was often difficult.

As soon as they turned the corner and Ginny slowed near the hospital doors, Harry jumped out of the car before she had a chance to stop. He was halfway to the door before he realised it.

It was eerily quiet in the hospital. He knew it was still quite early, but he had imagined a scene of chaos when he entered.

He approached the nurse sitting at the desk and she barely glanced up from her typing. "I'll get you a form in a minute, sweetheart."

"I'm not here for care, I was called by my nephew. His family came in sometime last night after an accident."

The nurse looked up from the computer, looking over to a paper beside her. "Patient name?"

"There should be three. Remus, Dora and Evan Lupin." Harry said. "Their oldest son was called, he's in America right now so he called me to come."

The nurse's face changed from indifferent to sympathy and she finally looked up at him. "You can take a seat, I'll let the doctor know you're here, Mr...?"

"Potter."

She nodded and stood, disappearing through a small hallway behind her desk. Harry walked to the rows of chairs in the waiting room but he couldn't sit, he felt too restless, glancing at the desk every few seconds. He began to pace. He almost texted Ginny to tell her exactly where he was, in case she had trouble finding her way here from wherever she'd park, but remembered her phone had been left in their bedroom.

The nurse still hadn't returned when Ginny found him a few minutes later. "What's going on? Have they said anything?"

Harry shook his head.

"It's going to be okay." Ginny said, gently taking his hand.

A set of doors opened and the nurse returned with a doctor behind her. "Mr Potter?" The doctor asked, Harry nodded. "I'm Doctor Rossi. Why don't you take a seat so we can talk?"

Harry's mouth felt like sandpaper as he nodded and sat. Ginny stayed with him, holding his hand tightly as she sat next to him.

"You said you were called to come here, are you family?"

The question took Harry by surprise. Did it really matter right now?

"I'm Dora's brother. What happened? Are they okay?" Harry asked. It was a common lie they used if it was needed in the Muggle world due to Harry and Dora being close in age. It had started as a joke, and they had only really used it a handful of times and never for something so serious. Never for something where it appeared to be a requirement that he be related to them.

"Your sister and her family were involved in a car accident earlier this morning. Unfortunately, Mrs Lupin and the other driver were already deceased when officials arrived on the scene."

Harry felt the air get sucked out of his lungs. Ginny had let out a small choked noise, tightening her grip on Harry. He felt like the floor might fall out from beneath them.

"I am very sorry for your loss, Mr Potter. Mr Lupin has been taken to surgery, but we will let you know his condition as soon as we are able." Doctor Rossi said. "It is also up to you if you need to see your sister before the coroner begins his examination and before arrangements are made."

"Harry, do you know...?" Ginny asked gently.

Harry shook his head. He didn't know what arrangements, if any, she would have had. They had to have something, though, considering Dora's job and Remus' health. There had to be a plan. There would be a plan set in place by the Ministry for the Head Auror's death, but they needed something more personal. "I want to see her, but the arrangements... I can't- not... not yet... Evan. Where is Evan? Is she okay?"

"Miss Lupin appears to have minor injuries, but we are running a few more tests to be sure. She did need a few stitches, but she doesn't appear to have any broken bones."

"Where is she? I need to see her." Harry said.

"I'll have a nurse come and take you to her in a few minutes." Doctor Rossi said, and Ginny nodded.

"I should call Teddy." Harry said as Doctor Rossi left. He pulled his phone out, his heart hammering. He stepped away from Ginny, taking a few deep breaths before hitting the call button. Harry felt nauseous. This was not the phone call he wanted to be making.

Teddy answered immediately. "Are you there? What's going on?"

"Teddy, Evan is alright, but your Mum... Teddy, I'm so sorry-"

"No! No, Harry, please don't say it. They're okay, they have to be okay!"

"I'm so sorry, Teddy. Your Dad's in surgery, but your Mum, she's gone-"

He could hear Teddy let out a sob. "Mum's not dead, they're not supposed to die!" Harry could hear Victoire saying something. "I need to get home. Harry, I need to go, I need to get a ticket-"

"Let me know when you can get one, I'll come get you from the airport. I'll see what I can do from here."

"Harry, they'll take us to Evan now." Ginny said as Harry hung up. Harry followed Ginny and the nurse but he couldn't listen to what the nurse was saying. Ginny seemed to be paying attention, which was good, but Harry's mind was still reeling. His mind was listing off all the things that needed to happen now, the protocols that were in place for when the Head Auror died- he had never realised how much he hated that the protocol stated when as opposed to if, but he supposed he could understand now. The Head Auror was always a target, it was the same way for the Minister and for the Head of Magical Law... there were protocols. This didn't appear to be a murder, though. So, were the protocols the same? He'd have to make a statement, he knew that. He'd have to announce his new role and take all the questions any reporters may have.

Someone had to go to Hogwarts and tell Minerva of Remus' condition, that they didn't know if he'd return to teaching or if he'd even leave the hospital. As of now, it seemed Harry, Ginny, Teddy and Victoire were the only ones who knew. He couldn't imagine Teddy had called anyone else, it's possible Victoire would try to call her parents but they only had a home phone and if they didn't answer, they'd remain unaware. Molly was still waiting for word. Harry had to tell Hermione, who would have to organize the press conference... all of the kids would have to be told. Friends would need to hear it.

It all seemed very overwhelming.

They had stopped walking now, and Ginny was facing him. The nurse must have excused herself, because she was gone. "Harry?"

Harry looked up at her and she stepped closer to him, taking his hands. "It's going to be okay. We'll all be okay." She promised.

Harry nodded. "I know, I just- I can't believe it. All of these years, all of this time... we got so much longer with them then we thought we would and now it's just... over. She's gone, just like that and Remus..."

Ginny pulled him into a hug, nodding against him. "I know, Harry, I know." She said, her voice cracking.

"There's so much to do now and I don't know how I can do it." Harry said quietly, clutching his arms around her. "I need to go and tell Minerva, I think, get our kids sent home too. I need to get to work, the Daily Prophet will need a statement considering..."

Considering I'm Head Auror now.

Harry hated to think it. This wasn't how he wanted the job. He knew Dora's plan was to retire by the fall, after which she would take over the Transfiguration role at Hogwarts and become Head of the Hufflepuff house.

That was how he was meant to get the job. Not like this.

"I know there's a lot, but the girls need us. Evan needs us right now. She's right in there, she needs us. Come and see her." Ginny said. "And then, I'll stay and take Evan home when they release her and I'll call Mum. You can go and do what needs to be done at work, but not until after we check on Evan. And when we hear about Remus, we'll handle it. Everything will be okay."

Harry was often in awe at his wife's strength. How she could seem so unshakeable at times, the rock he needed. After this many years as an Auror, watching friends and loved ones being struck down one by one... he still couldn't be as strong as she appeared. Each time, it seemed like a bigger shock than the last. And yet, it never ceased to hurt like Hell.

He had gotten years with Remus, years he wasn't expecting. He could still remember walking into the Great Hall, seeing the bodies... and then the strange turn of events where they weren't dead after all. A mystery never truly solved, but after a few years, he found it best not to ask questions.

They became everything to him that he needed, they had been to him what the Dursleys should have been. The first few years after the war hadn't been smooth sailing, but he wasn't sure where he'd be if he hadn't had them.

He knew Teddy was grown, and Evan was nearly grown herself, but he could do for them what their parents did for him. He could raise Eliza for her Hogwarts years.

He would be there for the kids, but Harry was scared about the future. The uncertainty of how they'd handle everything, how they'd manage with two extra kids in the house until they knew if Remus could recover...

And the nagging feeling, that had been growing for days, that something dark was around the corner, waiting to pounce.

Ginny stepped back, unshed tears in her eyes. "Are you ready?"

Harry was sure he wasn't, but he took Ginny's hand and nodded.

Evan Lupin had been born six years after her talented, jet-setting brother and had been named as a vague tribute to her godfather's mother. From the beginning, she had been in her brother's shadow. He had the highest grades, he could morph like their mother. At age eleven, he attended Hogwarts, much to the delight of an absurdly large Potter-Weasley-Lupin brood that considered themselves all family. It wasn't until a year later when Evan began to hear her parents' hushed whispers, wondering when her magic would appear.

It never did, and her letter never arrived, and Evan couldn't help but feel she disappointed her parents. Everyone claimed her parents would never favour a child over the other. Never in a million years would social outcast Remus Lupin allow his daughter to feel like an outcast, Uncle Harry had insisted. Even when Evan's younger sister was born, everyone insisted Evan was just as loved, but she couldn't help but notice the reactions to her now nearly eleven year old sister showing early, early signs of magic. Cursed to be a werewolf like their father, it was obvious from an early age that Eliza would one day go to Hogwarts like their brother.

Evan was jealous, she had hated the attention her younger sister got. She knew why, of course. Her sister had been sick from birth, she needed the extra care. Her parents had been destroyed by the guilt of a child proving multiple Healers wrong and inheriting Remus' lycanthropy.

Evan had once heard Charlie Weasley talking about it to her mother, saying it was typical middle child behaviour. Her mother had scolded Charlie, dismissing his comments, but it stung Evan.

Now the feelings gnawed at Evan more than ever. Her mother was always busy at work, her father was gone for up to a week at a time now, and Evan was often asked to babysit her younger sister.

Evan loved her sister, she really did, so she listened to Eliza talk about how she was excited to attend Hogwarts in a few months. She made sure her sister filled out her journal and kept up with the potions and medications that made life as a born werewolf more manageable.

She supposed it gave her a purpose, babysitting her sister. She didn't know what to do now, where to go with her future after she completed school. For her brother, it seemed easy. He had a path before he even finished his fifth year at Hogwarts and once finishing his seventh, he was gone, traveling from country to country, researching and experimenting with magical medicine.

Evan, however, didn't know what to do. She couldn't do what her brother or parents did, she couldn't do any jobs in the magical community. She had to separate herself. And so she had taken her parents aside one day the week before and announced she wanted to move away from them and the magical community. Maidstone was a great opportunity. She could rent a flat, she had her eye on a few jobs and the university was right there for her to attend when she was ready.

To her parents' credit, they hadn't been upset- or if they were, didn't show it- and made time to go along with her to see Maidstone. Her father wasn't keen once they arrived. He had all sorts of objections to the idea of her living alone in a flat, to the jobs she wanted to apply to...

"It's not safe for a young girl to live on the bottom floor."

"You'd be working so late at night."

"These windows seem a little too easy to break in through."

Evan curled up on her side. The guilt felt like it was crushing her. She was the reason they had been there.

It had all happened so fast. She was afraid to close her eyes, afraid to see the green flash again or see the bright headlights that illuminated her mother for a split second before the truck crashed into them.

Her father had sworn when the green light had lit up the truck's interior, sending it into their lane. He had slammed on the breaks, their car spinning sideways as if sliding across ice...

She could still hear the crunching of metal and glass as their car was hit with enough force for it to flip. She didn't know how long it took before the car landed right side up again.

Evan didn't know why someone would do this. It couldn't be a coincidence. She knew about Killing Curses and her parents' past. Their work in the Order was well known, even over twenty years later, but Evan believed most of their enemies would still be in Azkaban.

Somehow, Evan had felt unscathed. She wasn't sure how she was uninjured but she didn't care. She was worried for her parents. She must have blacked out after the crash, but when she regained her senses, she called for her parents. The lack of response terrified her. As time passed, she became more and more terrified. The longer that passed, the more pain settled in. She wondered how long until someone found them, they had been on a relatively quiet road.

Somehow, someone must have come across their accident, and she felt relieved when she heard sirens in the distance and soon, flashing lights filled the area as vehicles screeched to a stop around the accident. She could hear yelling as a group of people surrounded the car.

"Do you know your name?"

"Do you know where you are?"

"Do you know what happened?"

The questions were hurled at Evan at a pace that seemed to make it impossible to answer fast enough, but she managed to stumble through the answers, wincing as bright lights were flashed in her eyes as she was placed on a stretcher, a plastic brace wrapped around her neck. It was still dark and, even though it was June, it felt cold. She couldn't get a proper breath in, fear setting in.

Somehow, being pulled from the wrecked car had terrified her more. She had been in a state of disbelief while in the car once she regained enough of her senses to realise what had happened and as time went on, she had begun to feel no one would find them.

It was all very overwhelming. The sounds, the lights, people yelling to each other... tears stung her eyes as she tried to call for her parents.

She was able to catch a small glimpse of what remained of their car as she was lifted into the back of the ambulance, but no sign of her parents, and she noticed the Muggles were keeping themselves in her line of vision.

Evan had a feeling her parents were dead. As stupid as it felt to think, she had a feeling she knew what it had meant when the Muggles had briefly paused at the front of car before coming to her, and now the Muggles were doing their best to keep her from seeing the full scene... they didn't want her seeing their bodies, she was sure of it. Another ambulance had already sped away, but she hadn't seen who they had taken.

The ride to the hospital was fast, the ambulance's sirens wailing through the night as they sped to the hospital. The two Muggles in the back with her were still examining her, still asking her questions but Evan was finding it hard to keep up as her mind raced.

A very kind doctor and two nurses had come to her shortly after she arrived, gently explaining to her that her mother had died- likely instantly, they had said, as if that was comforting. Her Dad was being taken into surgery, but his injuries were complicated.

Complicated, she imagined, was their way of not getting her hopes up.

"He's on medication, I don't know what kind, but it's a blood thinner." It was all she could manage to say. She couldn't say anything for her Mum.

The doctor sent one of the nurses to go and tell the surgeons before turning back to Evan. "Miss Lupin, can we call someone for you? Your grandparents?"

"I don't have any." Evan said.

"Family friend? Neighbour?"

"My Aunt and Uncle, but I don't- their numbers were in my phone." Evan said. "I know my brother's number but he's out of town for work... I don't know when he can get back here. He needs to know."

"Alright, I'll get you to give your brother's number to Gertrude here, alright?" The doctor said. "She can take your Aunt and Uncle's names too, we'll try to find a number for them."

Evan had nodded, and passed along the information. She asked to see her Mum but the doctor had denied her, which upset her. She wanted to see her, she felt she had a right to say goodbye.

But, the doctor said it would be too upsetting and they had to wait to make sure all of her tests came back normal and then left her, and it had felt like hours since. She had gotten a glimpse of a clock as she was brought in, and it had been just after one in the morning- they had left dinner around nine, which meant she hadn't been stuck in the car as long as she thought, but now she had no idea. She wondered if her brother would have even answered his phone, he was terrible for it. Very much like their Mum in that regard.

She heard the curtain beside her bed shift and sat up as Harry and Ginny rushed to the bed.

"Oh, Evan, I'm sorry." Harry said, immediately pulling her into a hug.

"It was a Killing Curse, I saw it." Evan said quietly. "I saw the truck- I saw- I saw Mum-" Her chest grew tight as she clutched the back of his jacket. She felt Ginny's hand gently stroking her hair. Harry had tensed up at the mention of a Killing Curse.

"Thank you for telling me, you don't need to talk about it if you don't want to yet. We'll find who did this." He whispered against her hair.

Evan nodded. "Did they say anything about Dad? Did they let you see them?" She asked as Harry released her. "I asked, I want to see Mum-"

"Your Dad's in surgery, that's all they've told me. I haven't been to see your Mum, I came to you first. They asked if I wanted to, and I suppose family probably has to confirm identity." Harry said. "Do you want Gin to stay with you? I'll come right back and I'll ask that they let you see her, but there may be a reason they didn't want to let you, Evan."

Evan knew that, and while she feared seeing whatever condition her Mum could be in, she felt like she needed to see her. Evan nodded. "I want to say goodbye."

Harry was escorted down to the morgue, where a dark haired Muggle in a white lab coat was sitting at a desk. "Gerard, this is Mr Potter. He's come to see the woman from last night's car accident."

The woman. It seemed so impersonal to Harry.

Gerard stood, setting down his mug of coffee. "Thanks, Tim." Gerard said, holding a hand out to Harry. "Family?"

"Her brother." Harry said, shaking his hand.

"I'm sorry for your loss." Gerard said, leading Harry to a set of double doors. "I heard the daughter survived, is she alright? How's the husband?"

"As well as she can be and we don't know about him yet." Harry said as they entered a brightly lit room. The room was too cold. He hated it. There were two tables, two forms covered in white sheets, in front of a wall of what appeared to be stainless steel lockers. Two doors along the bottom were open, and it made Harry feel queasy, imagining the rows of bodies currently stored behind all of those little doors.

Harry didn't want to see what was underneath the sheet, but he had to. Part of him hoped that Gerard would pull back the sheet and it would be some weird mistake- that it wouldn't be Dora. She had been misidentified and she was somewhere else.

The medical examiner pulled one of the sheets down, folding it over Dora's chest. Harry felt numb looking at her. She looked both familiar and somehow nothing like herself. Her skin lacked colour except for slight bruising where her seatbelt must have been and a nasty gash that spread from under her hairline to beside her eye, but other than that, there was hardly any indication she was injured at all. That struck Harry as odd, but he didn't know enough about car accidents to decide how suspicious it was.

"What did it?" Harry asked. "How exactly did she die, do you know yet?"

Gerard looked surprised. "Well, we haven't done a proper autopsy yet, but from what I understand, the truck impacted the passenger side where Mrs Lupin was found. It was likely very quick, if not instant. We will do full autopsies to determine exact causes, but blunt force trauma or internal bleeding is likely. Usually the case for car crashes." Gerard said. "I'll give you a moment, if you want to say goodbye. Some people like doing that. I'll be at my desk when you're ready."

Harry somehow doubted anyone liked saying goodbye when faced with the corpses of their loved ones. He stepped closer, looking down at her.

It felt unreal. She looked nothing like herself. She didn't even look like the Tonks he had seen in the Great Hall all those years ago. She had looked asleep then, she didn't look asleep now. But she hadn't been truly dead back then. Now she was.

If she had morphed anything that day, death had erased it.

Her right hand was partially exposed from under the sheet and Harry took it gently. It was cold, an uncomfortable sensation when he was used to this hand being warm and gentle, not cold and unresponsive.

"Teddy will be on his way home soon." Harry said quietly. "And I've got the girls, I'll take care of them until Remus can. I'll make sure they're okay, I promise."

And then he thought about what Evan had said, and then he thought back to how secretive Dora had been for a few weeks now. Pulling out his wand, after ensuring Gerard was not returning, he conjured a vial and pointed his wand at her temple. Seeing the accident from her perspective could corroborate Evan's story, and perhaps give Harry some kind of insight to what had happened and why. It was technically illegal to withdraw someone's memories without their consent, but he was certain Dora would not object, if it meant solving her potential murder.

When he returned to the desk, Gerard had returned to his coffee, but now had a clipboard in front of him and a white plastic bag on the desk next to it. Their personal belongings, he imagined. It felt very impersonal to be handed a bag of whatever the Muggles had pulled out of their pockets.

"You'll have to sign to confirm you received the belongings. We'll do the postmortem and then release her for burial. If you don't already know a funeral home, we have many we partner with and can help find a suitable option, but you don't need to decide that right now." Gerard explained.

"We have one our family uses." Harry said. There was a funeral home that partnered with a cemetery in a town that was filled with a large magical population. A lot of Aurors were buried there unless it was decided otherwise and while Harry didn't know if Dora would have any specific place chosen, this funeral home would still be the one to use. This cemetery was where Andromeda and Ted were buried, and where Roofie's gravestone was. Harry figured it was the best choice.

Gerard nodded, holding out the bag to Harry. "I believe they placed her husband's stuff with hers before he was taken to surgery."

Harry went through the bag outside of the morgue, but there was nothing aside from Remus' wallet and watch, Dora's phone and their rings. The screen of Dora's phone was cracked but still turned on, showing all of the missed calls from Teddy and Harry. He knew that Teddy had been calling for the same reason he had- maybe they'd answer and say everything was fine, there was no major injury and they'd be on their way home soon. Instead, Harry was holding a bag of their personal belongings. Remus' phone was not in the bag, so Harry imagined it was likely at home. Their clothes had probably been ruined but that wasn't what Harry was looking for.

He needed their wands- but what would Muggles do with them if they had found them? Had they even had their wands with them? Harry was sure they would have. Dora, as Head Auror, would never go anywhere unprotected. Remus might, if he was with Dora, but was also likely to have his. So, where were they?
